In this paper, we present a two-stage vision-based approach to detect multi views of pedestrian in road scene images. The first stage is HG (Hypothesis Generation), in which potential pedestrian are hypothesized. During the hypothesis generation step, we use a vertical, horizontal edge map, and different colors between road background and pedestrian's clothes to determine the leg position of pedestrian, then a novel symmetry peaks processing is performed to define how many pedestrians is covered in one potential candidate region. Finally, the real candidate region where pedestrian exists will be constructed. The second stage is HV (Hypothesis Verification). In this stage, all hypotheses are verified by Support Vector Machine for classification, which is robust for multi views of pedestrian detection and recognition problems.

Although self-propelled artilleries are mobile equipment, they need their own covered-positions for survival against preemptive strikes. The most important military requirement is enough protective capacity against blast pressure caused by explosion. This paper aims to assess the protective capacity of the newly-placed concrete box-type artillery positions using accurate structural geometric models as well as soil-structure interaction analysis. The commercial program is used to model the structural geometry of the positions. In order to describe the correct wave propagation in the backfill along with soil-structure interaction, used parameters in shock equation of state are selected based on the related studies as well as theories and then their final results are verified with the ones calculated with empirical equations in the US Unified Facility Criteria. In sum, it could be concluded that the protective capacity of the newly-built positions satisfies the protective structural requirement.

Thermo-mechanical vibration characteristics of in homogeneousporous functionally graded (FG) micro/nanobeam subjected to various types of thermal loadings are investigated in the present paper based on modified couple stress theory with consideration of the exact position of neutral axis. The FG micro/nanobeam is modeled via a refined hyperbolic beam theory in which shear deformation effect is verified needless of shear correction factor. A modified power-law distribution which contains porosity volume fraction is used to describe the graded material properties of FG micro/nanobeam. Temperature field has uniform, linear and nonlinear distributions across the thickness. The governing equations and the related boundary conditions are derived by Extended Hamilton's principle and they are solved applying an analytical solution which satisfies various boundary conditions. A comparison study is performed to verify the present formulation with the known data in the literature and a good agreement is observed. The parametric study covered in this paper includes several parameters such as thermal loadings, porosity volume fraction, power-law exponents, slenderness ratio, scale parameter and various boundary conditions on natural frequencies of porous FG micro/nanobeams in detail.
Purpose: The symptoms and impairments caused by cerebral palsy usually require long-term treatment, resulting in a substantial burden on the family of affected children. This study explored the experiences of fathers with prematurely-born children with cerebral palsy, with a focus on how such experiences influenced their families. Methods: A qualitative case study method was used. Nine subjects were recruited from April 2018 to June 2019 at one hospital, and each was interviewed three times by a neonatal nurse. Results: Five core experiences of fathers were identified: "regret for an insufficient initial response", "confronting my child born as a premature baby", "the position of being a dad who can't do anything", "the process of treatment like a tunnel with no exit", and "a father's getting meaning in life through children". These stories covered an individual's timeline and family interactions. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that fathers of prematurely-born children tend to suppress their emotions; therefore, a novel intervention program to encourage fathers' emotional expression and to support healthier interactions with their families is needed. Moreover, our findings could contribute basic information for the construction of a community-based support system to aid families, including prematurely-born children and other persons with impairments.
This report describes osteotomy and iliac bone graft for malunion caused by failed mandibular fracture reduction. A 27-year-old man was referred 3 months after a motor vehicle accident. At another hospital, two operations had been performed for symphyseal fracture using two resorbable plates. Malocclusion was noted, and panoramic radiography and computed tomography revealed a misaligned dental arch, with a 9.37-mm gap between the central and the lateral incisor of the left mandible. A wafer was made from the patient's dental model, and a maxillary arch bar was applied. Through a lower gingivolabial incision, osteotomy was performed between the malunited symphyseal fracture segments. Both segments were reduced to their original position using the wafer and fixed with titanium miniplates via intermaxillary fixation (IMF). The intersegmental gap was filled with cancellous bone from the iliac crest. The gingival defect was covered with a mucosal transposition flap from the gingivolabial sulcus. IMF and the wafer were maintained for 5 and 9 weeks, respectively. At postoperative week 13, the screws were removed from the mandible and satisfactory occlusion was noted. His mouth opening improved from 2.5 to 3 finger breadths (40 mm). This case demonstrates the need for sufficient IMF when using resorbable plates.

A family business is a company where most of its capital and the management position is owned by family members (clan). The leader plays an important role in defining an organization, thus influencing the organization's success. A leader who has a leadership style based on family (clan) relation has the facilitator's role when conflict appears within the organization. This research aims to find the impact of the democratic leadership model on a family business that adopts the clan cultural organization. The independent variable of this research is the democratic leadership model. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is the clan culture within the organization. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive and causality type of research. This research population is PT Global Avionika Indonesia staff, where the data was acquired by distributing questionnaires using a saturated sampling technique. The finding in this research shows a positive and significant impact of the democratic leadership model on the clan culture within the organization PT Global Avionika. The determination test also points out that democratic leadership models affect 19.8 percent of the clan culture within the organization, and the rest of 80.2 percent were affected by other factors that were not covered in this research.
A 44-year-old woman underwent sleeve gastrectomy, which was complicated by a leak. She was treated with two sessions of endoscopic internal drainage using plastic double-pigtail stents. Her clinical evolution was favorable, but four months after the initial stent placement, she became symptomatic, and a gastrobronchial fistula with the proximal end of the stents invading the diaphragm was diagnosed. She was treated with antibiotics, plastic stents were removed, and a partially covered metallic esophageal stent was placed. Eleven weeks later, the esophageal stent was removed with no evidence of fistula. Inappropriate stent size, position, stenting duration, and persistence of low-grade inflammation could explain the patient's symptoms and provide a mechanism for gradual muscle rupture and fistula formation. Although endoscopic internal drainage is usually safe and effective for the management of post-laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy leaks, close clinical and radiological follow-up is mandatory.
This study investigated how Korean media covered Japan's position on her past history issues proposed by Abe' Shinzo's cabinet. The researchers adopted Entman's analytical tools for frame analysis and the concept of "frame changing" proposed by Chi and McCombs. The analysis rendered several propositions. First of all, the Korean media's coverage on Japan's past history issues focused heavily on the current conflict among two nations rather than constructing a futuristic viewpoint based on a thorough discussion on the historical background of the topic. In addition, it emphasized that the conflict should be resolved by political negotiations between the two governments. Secondly, the news coverages depicted "comfort women" issues as the prime element of the conflict, describing Abe's cabinet as the major inducer of the conflict. Ideological and political divisions among Korean media did not significantly influence on how they frame Japan's past history issues. In general, Korean media took the stance of ethnocentric "patriotic journalism," advocating Korean government's position and covering the emotional reactions from Korean public instead of providing through and through objective news coverage on Japan's past history issues.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution of stress in the surrounding bone around implant placed in the first and second molar region. Two different three-dimensional finite element model were designed according to vertical bone level around fixture ($4.0mm{\times}11.5mm$) on the second molar region. A mandibular segment containing two implant-abutments and a two-unit bridge system was molded as a cancellous core surrounded by a 2mm cortical layer. The mesial and distal section planes of the model were not covered by cortical bone and were constrained in all directions at the nodes. Two vertical loads and oblique loads of 200 N were applied at the center of occlusal surface (load A) or at a position of 2mm apart buccally from the center (load B). Von-Mises stresses were analyzed in the supporting bone. The results were as follows; 1. With the vertical load at the center of occlusal surface, the stress pattern on the cortical and cancellous bones around the implant on model 1 and 2 was changed, while the stress pattern on the cancellous bone with oblique load was not. 2. With the vertical load at the center of occlusal surface, the maximum von-Mises stress appeared in the outer distal side of the cortical bone on Model 1 and 2, while the maximum von-Mises stress appeared in the distal and lingual distal side of the cortical bone with oblique load. 3. With the vertical load at a position of 2 mm apart buccally from the center, there was the distribution of stress on the upper portion of the implant-bone interface and the cortical bone except for the cancellous bone, while there was a distribution of stress on the cancellous bones at the apical and lingual sides around the fixture and on the cortical bone with oblique load. 4. With the changes of the supporting bone on the second molar area, the stress pattern on the upper part of the cortical bone between two implants was changed, while the stress pattern on the cancellous bone was not. The results of this study suggest that establishing the optimum occlusal contact considering the direction and position of the load from the standpoint of stress distribution of surrounding bone will be clinically useful.
This study was designed to investigate the criteria of the perfect smile that was necessary to improve the esthetic problem in oral and maxillo-facial region and treating the anterior tooth region. The author took the facial straight photograph of 240 university students(male : 129, female : 111) in a resting and a smiling position, measured and analized the lip pattern and the relation between the lip and the teeth when they were smiling. Besides, 10 members of committee for appraisal (dentist : 5 persons, professor of the college of fine arts : 5 persons) estimated the smiling pattern. After that the author have compared and analyzed the obtained results. The results obtained were as follows : 1. In the shape of the upper lip, when the upper lip curved downward, it was 42.92% , straight was 45.00% and curved upward was 12.08%. The group in which the upper lip curved upward was the most esthetic. 2. In the relation between the upper lip and the teeth, high smile was 29.17%, average smile was 55.83% and low smile was 15.00%. The group of average smile was the most esthetic. 3. In the parallel relation between the lower lip and maxillary anterior incisal curvature, the group of paralled was 60.42%, the group of straight was 34.17% and the group of reverse was 5.41%. The group of parallel was the most esthetic. 4. In the relationship between maxillary anterior incisor and lower lip, the group of the maxillary anterior incisor were slightly covered by the lower lip was 10.42%, the group of the maxillary anterior teeth touched to the lower lip was 35.83%, and the no-touching was 53.75%. The group of the maxillary anterior teeth touched to the lower lip was the most esthetic. 5. In the teeth displayed in a smile, displayed to the canine was 0.84%, displayed to the first premolar was 19.17%, displayed to the second premolar was 57.92%, displayed to the first molar was 20.00% and displayed to the second molar was 2.08%. The group of displayed to the first molar was the most esthetic. 6. At smiles, the width of the mouth corner was 0.46 times of the full face width, 0.95 times of the interpupillary distance, and 1.23 times of the resting position. 7. At smiles, the lengh of the upper lip was 0.71 times and lower lip was 0.93 times of the length in the resting position.
