중.고등학생의 과학실험실 환경에 대한 인식과 과학 및 과학 교과에 대한 태도 (Perceptions on Science Laboratory Classroom Environments and Attitudes toward Science and Science Courses of Secondary Students)

  • Assessment of science laboratory environment was conducted with 539 students at middle and high school. Science Laboratory Environment Inventory(SLEI) was used as an instrument. The major findings of this study are as follows. 1. Mean scores obtained on each scale in the actual and preferred version of SLEI were relatively low, particularly on the scale of open-endedness, integration, and material environment. 2. Mean scores obtained on each scale in the actual version were lower than those in the preferred version. Score differences between actual version and preferred one were found to be significant statistically. 3. Boys and high school students perceived their laboratory environment with more open-endedness and less rule clarity than girls and middle school students respectively. 4. Girls preferred student cohesiveness at their laboratory more than boys. Highschool students wanted open-ended environment more than middleschool students. 5. Each scale of SLEI showed significant correlation with the scores of attitudes toward science. Particularly open-endedness was found to account for a significant contribution to the affective outcomes.

교과교실형 고등학교 홈베이스의 공간 특성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Characteristic for Home-base of Variation Type in High School)

  • After the introduction of the 7th revision of curriculum, educational facilities have been requested to change to face new curriculums and have been planned. But, it is actual condition that researches of curriculum and facilities seem to be insufficient. This research will re-establish in an angle of space-syntax based on existed research for home-base area of variation type in high school according to the 7th curriculum. And the each specific character of home-base area representing each type and strong / weak points of area structure of each home-base will be analyzed. And analysis result with the model of variation type in high school visit the on-the-spot inspection result which leads and comparison and with his interview back it leads and currently there is the objective to the evaluation the variation type in high school home-base which is planned regarding the suitable in real use. Each case to the school I visited the scene, not all high schools applied the 7th curriculum courses. Therefore, it is also home-base space capabilities were not being properly utilize. According to 7th curriculum, one of Hall-type home-base and Room-type home-base can be suitable when integration is higher. However, the way the current operational training, it is the best that Distributed-type home-base needs to be included in each curriculum block.

컴퓨터-소프트웨어 분야 수요지향적 교과과정의 개발 (Development of Demand-Oriented Curriculum in the Computer-Software Field)

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터-소프트웨어 분야를 중심으로, 산업계에서 요구하는 기술 요소와 대학사이의 불균형을 완화시키기 위한 정책의 일환으로 정보통신부의 주도하에 개발된 산업체 수요지향적 교과과정 개발 과정과 그 결과를 다룬다. 컴퓨터-소프트웨어 분야를 소프트웨어 개발, 시스템 통합, 임베디드 시스템 소프트웨어, 멀티미디어 및 게임 소프트웨어, 비즈니스 정보 기술 등의 다섯 가지 세부 전공 트랙으로 세분하였다. 각 트랙에 대해 네 개의 수요지향적 교과목을 포함한 교과과정을 개발하였고, 수요지향적 교과목들의 상세강의개요와 과목교안을 개발하였다. 한편 이렇게 개발한 결과물을 활용하여 다수의 대학에서 2004년부터 실제 강의가 이루어져왔다.

제7차 고등학교 가정과학 교육과정에 대한 평가 (Evaluation of the 7th Home Economics Science Curriculum in High School)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the propriety of various aspects of the 7th home economics science curriculum in high school. In this study, home economics education experts participated in a three-round Delphi survey. The findings of this study were as follows: First, the experts evaluated that the subject arrangement and title 'home economics science' were inadequate. Second, the experts evaluated that the characteristics of home economics science were similar to those in prior home economics curricula, and that the characteristics of the subject were also ambiguous. Third, the experts evaluated that the objectives of home economics science were too technically presented, and pointed out that the objectives are not distinct from those of prior home economics courses as they are too general and abstract. Fourth, the experts evaluated that the content of home economics science was deficient in its hierarchy and integration. Moreover, the contents do not sufficiently reflect the characters of the learners or their social demands. Fifth, the experts evaluated that the teaching/learning methods of home economics science were stated for the sake of formality only. Even though it provides many methods, it is not practical in the current educational situation. Sixth, the experts evaluated that although home economics science provides various methods of assessment, it has practical difficulties under current educational circumstances. Besides, the assessment methods failed to give concrete and objective standards.

Dissemination of Advanced Mouse Resources and Technologies at RIKEN BioResource Center

  • RIKEN BioResource Center (BRC) has collected, preserved, conducted quality control of, and distributed mouse resources since 2002 as the core facility of the National BioResource Project by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan. Our mouse resources include over 5,000 strains such as humanized disease models, fluorescent reporters, and knockout mice. We have developed novel mouse strains such as tissue-specific Cre-drivers and optogenetic strains that are in high demand by the research community. We have removed all our specified pathogens from the deposited mice and used our quality control tests to examine their genetic modifications and backgrounds. RIKEN BRC is a founding member of the Federation of International Mouse Resources and the Asian Mouse Mutagenesis and Resource Association, and provides mouse resources to the one-stop International Mouse Strain Resource database. RIKEN BRC also participates in the International Gene Trap Consortium, having registered 713 gene-trap clones and their sequences in a public library, and is an advisory member of the CREATE (Coordination of resources for conditional expression of mutated mouse alleles) consortium which represents major European and international mouse database holders for the integration and dissemination of Cre-driver strains. RIKEN BRC provides training courses in the use of advanced technologies for the quality control and cryopreservation of mouse strains to promote the effective use of mouse resources worldwide.

  • Integrating computer-aided design with computer-aided fabrication and construction will fundamentally redefine the relationship between design and construction. Rapid prototyping(RP) is evaluated as one of the integration method available but it has been regarded as very expensive and complex design evaluation tool and is only suitable for large mechanical design shops in automobile and aerospace industry. However current status of rapid prototyping is changing since the new generation of RP equipment, less expensive and more user-friendlier, now can be installed and use in design firms. Simultaneously increasing use of 3D CAAD software is also helping to use rapid prototyping widely. It is crucial to acknowledge rapid prototyping technologies are not only for avant-garde architect such as Frank O. Gehry but ordinary 90% architects, who can have benefit from fast and cost-effective technology. With its fast development and adaptation in architectural industry, it is quite necessary to include rapid prototyping education in regular CAAD courses either undergraduate or graduate level.

우리나라 예방의학교육의 미래: 희망과 도전 (Future of Preventive Medicine Education in Korea: Hopes and Challenges)

  • Throughout the century, based on the precedent set by Flexner in the United States, almost every subsequent report on the reform of medical education has pointed out the need for more prevention-oriented teaching in the curriculum. This has been particularly so in countries like Korea where the basic public health services have been so important for the improvement of health of the people. And, in fact, preventive medicine and public health have contributed a great deal to the prevention of communicable diseases and prolongation of life expectancy. Recently, however, along with the educational reform that emphasizing the interdisciplinary teaching, integration of basic science and clinical education, and centralization of responsibility for the medical education curriculum, concerns are being voiced by preventive medicine educators. These concerns are primarily centered around the fear that the implementation of interdisciplinary, centrally administered courses would result in a weakening of content and teaching expertise as well as a loss of departmental power and control. This paper foresees that preventive medicine and public health will be more important in Korea in the future and proposes that preventive medicine educators will have to step forward and turn the challenges of curricula restructuring into opportunities to expand the role of preventive medicine in the curricula of their institutions.

품질 4.0: 개념, 요소, 수준 평가와 전개 방향 (Quality 4.0: Concept, Elements, Level Evaluation and Deployment Direction)

  • Purpose: This article aims 1) to propose Quality 4.0 concept through surveying related literature, 2) to suggest key elements of Quality 4.0 by arranging the elements of Quality 4.0 that appeared in the literature, 3) to determine the levels of Quality 4.0, and 4) to suggest ideas for effective deployment of Quality 4.0. Methods: Eleven papers or documents are reviewed for Quality 4.0 concept; two papers and one document are investigated for key element extraction of Quality 4.0; and smart factory roadmap and industry 4.0 maturity model are studied to determine the levels of Quality 4.0. Results: 1) Quality 4.0 definition is proposed. 2) Three key elements are determined: data acquisition and analytics, connection and integration, and leadership and culture. 3) Six Quality 4.0 levels are determined. 4) Some suggestions are addressed for effective deployment of Quality 4.0. Conclusion: 1) Definition, key elements, levels, and some suggestions on effective deployment of Quality 4.0 are addressed. 2) Specific contents of Quality 4.0 education and training courses should be provided in the future. 3) Two future research directions are proposed.

디지털 패션필름 제작 교과에 관한 커리큘럼 개발 (Curriculum Design for Digital Fashion Film Making)

  • In the 21st century fashion industry, the rise of digital environments has transformed it into a dynamic medium, expanding the horizons of media utilization. Consequently, digital fashion film has emerged as a pivotal tool for fashion communication. Functioning as a visual expression medium, fashion film animates fashion concepts into immersive moving images. Proficiency in digital fashion communication has become imperative, considering the attributes of fashion media. Notably, the role of creative directors in ensuring coherent communication across diverse fashion media platforms has gained prominence, underscoring the need for systematic fashion education to nurture specialized talent. This study, therefore, devised a comprehensive curriculum amalgamating fashion communication and practical digital media skills, implemented within fashion major courses. Through this approach, students gained experimental media proficiency and explored innovative approaches to crafting fashion films that eloquently convey fashion narratives. The participants were exposed to the entire spectrum of fashion media production, encompassing digital storytelling, fashion film conceptualization, filming techniques, meticulous editing, and adept utilization of special effects technology. The study's pedagogical strategy, characterized by a focused learning trajectory, garnered significant acclaim. In essence, this study holds significance by formulating a curriculum that nurtures the imaginative and pragmatic aptitudes of fashion majors, immersing them in the dynamic realm of rapidly evolving digital fashion films and their integration with fashion content.

교육과정체계 수립을 위한 직무분석 시스템 구현 및 적용사레 분석 (System Implementation and Analysis of Job Analysis for University Curriculum)

  • 대학이나 직업 훈련 교육 기관에서는 주문식 교육의 일환으로 산업체의 요구사항을 충족하는 교육 과정을 개발해서 교육을 실시하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서, 일반화된 교육과정 체계 도출을 위해 현존 직무수행에 필요한 능력을 분석해서 교육과정에 반영할 수 있도록 하는 직무분석 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 산업체의 요구에 부응하는 교육과정체계 개발을 위하여 DACUM(Developing A CurriculUM) 프로세스에 기반한 직무자의 작업기술의 확인과 교육과정 로드맵 작성 등의 일련의 프로세스를 구현하고 적용 사례를 분석한다. 제안된 시스템은 Java 와 MS Access 데이터베이스로 구현하고, 인터넷을 통해 MS SQL Server 로 구현된 중앙 데이터베이스에 직접 접속하여 작업이 가능하도록 구현한다.
