They correspond well and break the narrow limited cultural way of thinking and recognized a broader sense of understanding while keeping constancy. Their life that is keeping their culture and experiencing matured life will be a good theoretical basis for understanding the deaf culture.

Spradly's(1979, 1980) developmental, sequential method of domain analysis. taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and theme analysis in this order was adopted as the procedure of analyzing the data. To obtain the exactness of study, Sandelowski's (1986) four criteria, that is, Credibility, Fittingness, Auditability, and Confirmability were applied to all stages of data collection, data analysis, the interpretation of the result, and the description of the result. The following are the result : 1. The couples' Taegyo at the stage of preconception was related to their physical, psychological, spiritual conditions under which a healthy baby will be born. Specific methods they prefer are : "the choice of one's spouse." "physical check-up," "physical good health, " "praying, " and so on. 2. When the marriod couple have sex in order to conceive, their Taegyo was related to the imposition of their physical, psychological, and environmental conditions. "interaction with their unborn child," "to support Taegyo for pregnant women," and so on. 4. The married couple put Taegyo into practice on the basis of the following principles : the principle of respecting an unborn child, the principle of forming a good disposition. the principle of top-down parental love, the principle of synergy between a pregnant woman and her unborn child, the principle of expecting a good child, the principle of forming a good habit, and the principle of acquiring a parental role. 5. The practice of Taegyo is influenced by such factors as the married couple, the supporting system, and the mass media. As the husband -and-wife factor, their information of Taegyo, the degree of importance is assigned to their characters, their time to spare, their healthiness, the age of pregnant woman, their conception plan, their religion, their belief of the Taegyo effects, and the birth of a baby in this order. The factor of the supporting system consists of her husband's support, her family support, and her neighbor's support. The mass media factors include the broadcasting media, books specialized in Taegyo, periodicals for pregnant women, booklets for advertizing powdered milk, Taegyo music of record manufacturing companies, and the teaching materials for gifted children. Among these the mass media is especially taking advantage of Taegyo as its main source of economic profits are leading the public behavior pattern to a prodigal one. Taegyo is a self-control behavior which requires practice for the following : the physical and psychological good health of the pregnant woman and her unborn child, the development of the unborn child's good character, the development of the unborn child's intelligence and talents, the expectation of the unborn child's good features. shape a good habit, the expectation of the unborn child's bright future, and the learning of a parental role, the expectation of male birth. Above all it is a type of our good cultural tradition which pursues a value higher than the one that the prenatal care does. The principles of pregnancy care inherent in the habit of Taegyo will provide us a guideline for the development of the prenatal care.

For this purpose, the 2,418 middle aged, who married couples were extracted from the 2nd to 12st waves of Korea Welfare Panel Survey data. The data analysis included Latent Class Growth Analysis, multiple logistic regression. The change trajectories patterns of self-rated health in middle aged were classified into four types: (1) high state-retained type(46.3%), (2) low state-retained type(19.6%), (3) reduced type(17.5%), (4) increasing type(16.6%). Despite the control of chronic diseases that are closely related to health, when the low state-retained type, which is a crisis group, was set as the reference group for the self-rated health, the economic participation, self-esteem and satisfaction of the family relationship had a more inadequate effect than the high state-retained type. Likewise, when the reduced type, which is a crisis group, was set as the reference group for the self-rated health, the economic participation, self-esteem, satisfaction of the family relationship, and family stress had a more effect than the increasing type. • The purpose of this study was to examine the comparative between depression and stress related to life events among women in the menopausal stage. Menopausal stages were divided into two groups: Pre and post-menopausal stages. The degree of depression and stress related to life events between pre and post menopausal women were compared to each other. Women, aged between 41 and 59 years, answered self-reported questionnaires which included Zung's depression scale and life events scale modified by Lee (1984). Findings were as follows; 1) The mean score of premenopausal women who experienced depression was 39.66, and for post-menopausal women the score was 41.45. There was no significant differences in depression levels between pre and post menopausal group.s (t=-1.55, p=.122). 2) Menopausal women experienced low levels of stress related to life events. There were no significant differences between pre and post menopausal groups(t=.527, p>.05). Both pre and post menopausal groups were highly concerned about education issues of their children and disharmony between couples. 3) There was a significant relationship between depression and stress related to life events among post-menopausal groups (r=.22, p<.01). Based on the findings of this study, the menopausal depression was associated with stress related to life events, especially among post-menopausal women. Feelings of lost fertility and feminine attributies result in menopausal depression, which is significantly correlated with women's negative perception of their life events. Therefore, nursing intervention needs to develop to help reduce the levels of depression and overcome their negative perception of the menopausal experience. Nurses should develop nursing strategies to help menopausal women to have positive perceptions and enhance quality of life by assisting their adaptability to physiological and psychological changes related to menopause.

  • This study was conducted to investigate whether the parental sodium intake and the sodium intake of adolescents are consistent with each other, to identify factors affecting sodium intake of adolescent children, and to measure sodium intake at home. For this study, 405 subjects in the National Health and Nutrition Survey of 2015 whose sodium intake was measured among nutritional intake were selected, excluding elementary school students, middle school students and high school students aged 7 to 18 years. The data were then matched with the father ID and the mother ID in the youth ID. The results of this study were as follows: ${\beta}=-0.187$ for male adolescents, ${\beta}=0.192$ for older adolescents, ${\beta}=0.153$ for higher adolescents, and sodium intake for adolescents. This is because the mother usually prepares meals in Korea. On the other hand, it is predicted that parents will not be able to consider the quality of their children due to the increased number of dual-income couples.

  • In recent years, the number of love stories in Japanese TV series are decreasing. Comparing this with Korean popular TV series in Japan, it was found that Korean TV series have the following differences. In the Japanese series, the main characters were mostly from common origin. The conflicts within each relationship stage illustrated the conflicts between characters and their surroundings, as well as the conflicts which commonly arise in real life, that with the self. Confessions of love in the Japanese series used simpler expressions. Some couples did not even say "I love you". Further, when love was threatened, rarely was deep attachment shown. There were even cases where the main characters did not end up as a couple. On the other hand, there often existed a class difference between the male and female main characters in the Korean series and conflicts mostly arose from differences of environment, illness, love rivals, and etc. Every couple verbally confessed their love and they used more passionate expressions of love than in the Japanese series, and when love was threatened no man backed down and each showed his deep attachment. Finally, there were happy endings for everyone even after the many complications.
