문헌 단위 인용 네트워크 내 인용과 중심성 지수 간 관계 추정에 관한 연구 (Curve Estimation among Citation and Centrality Measures in Article-level Citation Networks)

  • 이 연구에서는 인용 및 동시인용 문헌 네트워크에서의 중심성 지수를 사용한 추론 통계 적용의 첫 번째 단계로써 이들 간 관계의 선형성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 703개의 문헌 동시인용 네트워크를 활용하여 인용 빈도, 연결정도 중심성, 인접 중심성, 매개 중심성 간의 4가지 주요 관계의 패턴을 살펴본 결과, 모든 인용 및 중심성 간 관계가 선형모델보다는 비선형적 모델로 더 잘 설명될 수 있음을 통계적으로 확인되었다. 따라서 이들 간의 인과관계에 대한 다중회귀분석과 같은 추론 통계 분석의 기반이 되는 선형성을 확보하기 위해서는 논리적인 기준에 근거한 데이터 변환이나 실제값을 구간값으로 변환하는 과정이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

젖소에서 유성분 분석을 통한 우군 건강관리프로그램의 개발 (Development of program for herd health management by milk components analysis of dairy cows)

  • The purpose of this study was to develope a computer program to help with gross diagnosis of protein-energy balance and feeding management practice and with the prediction about the risk possibility of productive disease such as reproductive and metabolic disorders by evaluating fat, protein, and milk urea nitrogen (MUN) from individual cow milk in dairy herd Somatic cell counts also represent the condition of udder health. The principal flow charts of this program was to check on herd management, sampling the composite milk, analysis the milk composition, conversion of data from milking equipment to program, input and analysis of data in program, and report. This program is compatible with window 95/98 system. The major analytical elements of this program were presented as; the profile of herd lactation curve analysis of the test-day milk production level, the distribution of somatic cell count, the fat to protein ratio to evaluate body energy balance, and the interpretation of dietary protein-energy balance by milk protein and MUN contents for individual cows. This program using milk fat, protein, MUN, and somatic cell counts will serve as a monitoring tool for the protein-energy balance and the feeding management practice, and for distribution of mastitis in individual cows. It will also be used to manage the nutritional and reproductive disorders and mastitis at the farm level.

재가 갑상선암 환자를 위한 지역암센터 자가관리프로그램 중재 효과에 대한 예비연구 (The Effect of a Community-Based Self-Management Program for Patients at Thyroid Cancer-Diagnosis Stage : a Pilot Study)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of a self-management program on patients with thyroid cancer, particularly during the time of waiting for surgery after cancer diagnosis. Psychological distress, biological responses of immune cell counts, and quality of life were the variables of this study. Methods: One group pre-post test design was used with the nature of a pilot study. Ten newly diagnosed thyroid cancer patients were recruited through physicians' referrals. After drop out of 4 participants, final data were collected from six participants. Small group technique, a one and half hour-session per week for one month (total 4 sessions, 6 hours) was used. Relaxation techniques, meditation training, and strategies to reduce distress were provided by researchers. Standardized questionnaires and an established bio-assay were used for collection of data. Results: Participants showed significant lowering of psychological distress (p<.05) and improvement in global quality of life (p<.05). Biological responses of immune cell counts did not show statistical significance. Conclusion: The self-management program may reduce psychological distress and improve quality of life of patients with thyroid cancer between the time of diagnosis and surgery. The self-management program would be a valuable approach for patients with an unexpected cancer diagnosis to prepare for their disease experience in a community setting.

이변량 조건부자기회귀모형을이용한강력범죄자료분석 (Analysis of Violent Crime Count Data Based on Bivariate Conditional Auto-Regressive Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 5대 범죄중 사람의 생명과 신체에 심각한 위해를 가하는 강력범죄인 살인과 강도 범죄의 이변량 가산자료에 대해 이변량조건부자기회귀모형을 사용하여 공간상관성을 반영한 강력범죄모형을 제안하였다. 범죄자료와 같은 가산자료에 대한 과대산포 검정을 위해 우도비 검정 실시하였으며, 그 결과 과대산포가 유의하지 않음에 따라 공간포아송모형을 이용하였다. 실증예제로 2007년 서울시에서 제공하는 25개 자치구별 강력범죄자료를 지리정보시스템을 이용하여 강력범죄 발생실태를 시각화하였으며 강력범죄에 영향을 주는 다양한 요인들에 대하여 분석을 실시하였다.

Semiautomated Analysis of Data from an Imaging Sonar for Fish Counting, Sizing, and Tracking in a Post-Processing Application

  • Dual frequency identification sonar (DIDSON) is an imaging sonar that has been used for numerous fisheries investigations in a diverse range of freshwater and marine environments. The main purpose of DIDSON is fish counting, fish sizing, and fish behavioral studies. DIDSON records video-quality data, so processing power for handling the vast amount of data with high speed is a priority. Therefore, a semiautomated analysis of DIDSON data for fish counting, sizing, and fish behavior in Echoview (fisheries acoustic data analysis software) was accomplished using testing data collected on the Rakaia River, New Zealand. Using this data, the methods and algorithms for background noise subtraction, image smoothing, target (fish) detection, and conversion to single targets were precisely illustrated. Verification by visualization identified the resulting targets. As a result, not only fish counts but also fish sizing information such as length, thickness, perimeter, compactness, and orientation were obtained. The alpha-beta fish tracking algorithm was employed to extract the speed, change in depth, and the distributed depth relating to fish behavior. Tail-beat pattern was depicted using the maximum intensity of all beams. This methodology can be used as a template and applied to data from BlueView two-dimensional imaging sonar.

표본 O-D 조사자료의 합리적인 전수화 및 O-D함성 방안에 관한 연구 (Study of Improvements to Expansion Methods of Sample O-D Survey Data and Synthesis of O-D Data)

  • Since 1960's there have been conducted quite numbers of origin and destination (0-D) surveys in Korea, Most of them, however, were to be said not so successful. In this paper, it was investigated that why the previous 0-D surveys were failed, and that how it could be improved. The findings of this study are: 1. The collection of sample data itself was performed relatively well, but the problem was in the improper expansion methods which were applied. 2. To improve the expansion methods, it should be performed not only the dwelling unit-based sample surveys but also commercial vehicle survey, cordon line survey, screen line counts and other auxiliary travel surveys like transit patronage survey, vehicle miles survey etc. at the same time. 3. To expand the sample surveyed data in a proper way, the adjustment factors should take a disaggregate form and also should be applied not to the specific trips, but to the specific trip makers to avoid the bias which could be caused by the application of adjustment factors in a way that has been used previously. 4. If there is no considerable change in travel patterns, we can synthesize the present 0-D data with past surveyed sample data, using present statistic data in the same way which was developed in this paper when expanding and adjusting sample data.

Privacy Level Indicating Data Leakage Prevention System

  • The purpose of a data leakage prevention system is to protect corporate information assets. The system monitors the packet exchanges between internal systems and the Internet, filters packets according to the data security policy defined by each company, or discretionarily deletes important data included in packets in order to prevent leakage of corporate information. However, the problem arises that the system may monitor employees' personal information, thus allowing their privacy to be violated. Therefore, it is necessary to find not only a solution for detecting leakage of significant information, but also a way to minimize the leakage of internal users' personal information. In this paper, we propose two models for representing the level of personal information disclosure during data leakage detection. One model measures only the disclosure frequencies of keywords that are defined as personal data. These frequencies are used to indicate the privacy violation level. The other model represents the context of privacy violation using a private data matrix. Each row of the matrix represents the disclosure counts for personal data keywords in a given time period, and each column represents the disclosure count of a certain keyword during the entire observation interval. Using the suggested matrix model, we can represent an abstracted context of the privacy violation situation. Experiments on the privacy violation situation to demonstrate the usability of the suggested models are also presented.

온도 차이에 따른 수영훈련이 결핵균 감염정도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Swim Training on Tuberculosis infection in the Mouse Model at Different Temperature)

  • 본 연구를 통하여 규칙적인 수영 트레이닝이 체중의 감소를 일으켰으며(온수 및 냉수), 특히 냉수 훈련이 큰 감소를 나타내었다. 온수 훈련군에서는 $INF-\gamma$의 감소를 유발하여 림프구의 증식을 Th0에서 Th2 쪽으로 유도한다는 사실을 알 수 있었으며, 이로 인해 결핵균을 감염시켰을 경우 오히려 폐와 비장에서 결핵균의 수가 현저히 증가하는 사실을 알 수 있어, 수영 훈련군에게서의 결핵균 감염 시 대조군에 비해 균수가 현저히 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 냉수 훈련군에서는 통제군에 비해 $INF-\gamma$의 현저한 증가를 보여, 결핵균 감염 시 폐에서 결핵균 수가 감소함을 확인 할 수 있었다.

대기오염에 의한 폐암 및 만성폐색성호흡기질환 -개인 흡연력을 보정한 만성건강영향평가- (Lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and air pollution)

  • Background : Although there are growing concerns about the adverse health effect of air pollution, not much evidence on health effect of current air pollution level had been accumulated yet in Korea. This study was designed to evaluate the chronic health effect of ai. pollution using Korean Medical Insurance Corporation (KMIC) data and air quality data. Medical insurance data in Korea have some drawback in accuracy, but they do have some strength especially in their national coverage, in having unified ID system and individual information which enables various data linkage and chronic health effect study. Method : This study utilized the data of Korean Environmental Surveillance System Study (Surveillance Study), which consist of asthma, acute bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), cardiovascular diseases (congestive heart failure and ischemic heart disease), all cancers, accidents and congenital anomaly, i. e., mainly potential environmental diseases. We reconstructed a nested case-control study wit5h Surveillance Study data and air pollution data in Korea. Among 1,037,210 insured who completed? questionnaire and physical examination in 1992, disease free (for chronic respiratory disease and cancer) persons, between the age of 35-64 with smoking status information were selected to reconstruct cohort of 564,991 persons. The cohort was followed-up to 1995 (1992-5) and the subjects who had the diseases in Surveillance Study were selected. Finally, the patients, with address information and available air pollution data, left to be 'final subjects' Cases were defined to all lung cancer cases (424) and COPD admission cases (89), while control groups are determined to all other patients than two case groups among 'final subjects'. That is, cases are putative chronic environmental diseases, while controls are mainly acute environmental diseases. for exposure, Air quality data in 73 monitoring sites between 1991 - 1993 were analyzed to surrogate air pollution exposure level of located areas (58 areas). Five major air pollutants data, TSP, $O_3,\;SO_2$, CO, NOx was available and the area means were applied to the residents of the local area. 3-year arithmetic mean value, the counts of days violating both long-term and shot-term standards during the period were used as indices of exposure. Multiple logistic regression model was applied. All analyses were performed adjusting for current and past smoking history, age, gender. Results : Plain arithmetic means of pollutants level did not succeed in revealing any relation to the risk of lung cancer or COPD, while the cumulative counts of non-at-tainment days did. All pollutants indices failed to show significant positive findings with COPD excess. Lung cancer risks were significantly and consistently associated with the increase of $O_3$ and CO exceedance counts (to corrected error level -0.017) and less strongly and consistently with $SO_2$ and TSP. $SO_2$ and TSP showed weaker and less consistent relationship. $O_3$ and CO were estimated to increase the risks of lung cancer by 2.04 and 1.46 respectively, the maximal probable risks, derived from comparing more polluted area (95%) with cleaner area (5%). Conclusions : Although not decisive due to potential misclassication of exposure, these results wert drawn by relatively conservative interpretation, and could be used as an evidence of chronic health effect especially for lung cancer. $O_3$ might be a candidate for promoter of lung cancer, while CO should be considered as surrogated measure of motor vehicle emissions. The control selection in this study could have been less appropriate for COPD, and further evaluation with another setting might be necessary.

OPTICAL/NIR IMAGING OF AKARI NEP-WIDE SURVEY FIELD

  • We present the results from B-, R-, I-, J- and H-band observations of the NEP-Wide survey field. The NEP-Wide survey is an AKARI survey of the North Ecliptic Pole covering ~ 5 square degrees area. Our optical/NIR imaging supports the AKARI IR imaging data by providing a crucial coverage in the optical/NIR. The optical data were obtained in 2007 using the 1.5 m telescope and SNUCAM at Maidanak Observatory, Uzbekistan. The NIR data were obtained in 2008 with FLAMINGOS on the KPNO 2.1 m telescope. We used IRAF, SExtractor, SCAMP, and SWarp for reducing the raw data, I-band fringe pattern removal, astrometry, standard photometry calibration, and source detection. Our optical-NIR data reach the depths of B ~ 23.4, R ~ 23.1, I ~ 22.3, J ~ 21.05, and H ~ 20.64 AB mag at 5-sigma. Here, we present the astrometric accuracy, galaxy number counts, completeness, and reliability, as well as redshift tracks of some normal galaxies and quasars on the B - R vs. R - I color-color diagram. The photometric data are being used for identifying optical counterparts of the IR data provided by AKARI, studying their SEDs, and selecting interesting objects for spectroscopic follow-up studies.
