A Novel Type of Discrete Time Predictive Current Controllers for Parallel Resonant Inverters (병렬 공진형 인버터에서 사용되는 새로운 형태의 이산시간 예측 전류 제어기)

  • In this paper, we propose two types of novel discrete time current control methods of modified fixed band hysteresis control and optimal control for Parallel Resonant DC Link Inverters(PRDCLI). Because zero bus voltage intervals are generated on the DC link of PRDCLI, we can obtain the information of counter electromotive force(emf) by a simple estimation strategy. The proposed current controllers predict the currents of the next resonant cycle using the obstained information of counter emf and the average values of DC link voltages. The computer simulation results for a simple equivalent circuit of induction motor show that the proposed control methods are more effective than conventional methods.

  • Five control methods (Speed Control, PID Gain Scheduling, Loop Time Control, Simple PID, Switching Control) have been applied to the control of an Inline Co-axial valve by the simulation of AMESim. The simulation results have shown that the speed control method is the most stable and the fastest way to reach to the set point in the simulation of the flow control. Moreover, It has been found that the five control methods have the almost same characteristics in the power consumption, the counter electromotive force, and the motor angular velocity. According to the analysis results, the fast and stable control characteristics of the speed control method is the most suitable for the flow control using a inline co-axial valve with a DC(BLCD) motor.

A study on the rotating machine characteristics drived by chopper (초퍼 회로를 사용한 회전기계의 특성해석에 관한 연구)

  • It is shown in this paper that it is possible to derive generalized state equations for computation of electrical circults constanining SCR and diode elements. Revankar's binary logic variable method is used for formulation of the state equation of chopper circuit. Advantage of this method is that the state equations can be set up without the exact knowledge of the circuit operaton. The different modes of operation of the circuit are identified by the computer itself. By applying this method, the steady state performances of separately excited chopper-fed dc motor considering the counter electromotive force of the motor are investigated and the results of the computer simulation are presented. There is a satisfactory agreement between the theoretical and experimental results.

  • The neutral section on electric railway system is significant sector in order to prevent short circuit of two electric powers. However, while electric trains pass the neutral section, those speed is decreased and the accident of AC electric traction system and the electric train would be occurred. So the countermeasures are urgently needed. The automatic power switching technology system that is current being research and development is system to improve these problems. Because main object of this system is power change using static switch in the neutral section, it's expected to cause a variety of transients. Especially, onboard transformer inrush current for electric railway train can be occurred more than rated current according to switching time. Therefore, the analysis and improvement are needed to ensure the stability of this system. In this paper, we analyze the operating characteristics of the automatic power switching technology system. Especially, it reviews inrush current according to the closing phase angle. And we propose control plan of inrush current considering the case that voltage is maintained due to counter electromotive force and regenerative braking operation of electric railway train. Finally, the proposed control scheme was reviewed using the transient analysis program.

  • A gasoline engine automobile uses high voltage generation of the ignition coil, igniting and burning mixed fuel in the combustion chamber, which drives the engine. When the electronic control unit intermits a current supplied to the power transistor, counter electromotive force with a low voltage is generated by self induction action in the ignition primary coil and a high voltage is induced by mutual induction action with the primary ignition coil in the second ignition coil. The high voltage is supplied to the ignition plug in the combustion chamber, causing a spark, igniting the compressed mixed fuel. If a very small defect occurs inside the insulating material when a voltage is applied in said ignition coil, the performance of the insulation material will get worse and breakdown by a partial discharge of corona discharge. Thus, in this experiment, we are to contribute to improve the performance and ensure the reliability of the ignition coil by investigating partial discharge characteristics according to the change of voltage and temperature when a voltage is applied to the specimen of the epoxy molding ignition coil.

  • In this paper, In the whole industry, there is a tendency to replace brushless motors with brushless motors because of the high rate of failure in DC motors with brushes. Accordingly, many methods for driving a brushless motor have been developed and studied. In order to drive the brushless motor, it is essential to know the information about the rotor position of the motor. However, it is not possible to use a position sensor for rotor disconnection due to the structure of an electric compressor brushless DC motor. In this paper, we investigate the rotor position of the motor by using the counter electromotive force included in the voltage of the terminal made by Y connection by using the resistance of each phase without using Hall sensor or encoder generally used to detect the rotor position. A sensorless drive system for a square wave brushless direct current (DC) motor is proposed. To do this, we propose a method to detect the rotor position from the analyzed terminal voltage waveform by performing terminal voltage analysis of each phase for 3-phase, 2-exciton unipolar PWM.

  • The fuel pump, which is used for an aircraft, was first developed in Korea through the Civil-Military Dual Components Development Program. The BLDC motor type, which is superior to the DC brush motor when considering efficiency, endurance, and explosive environmental characteristics, was applied to the fuel pump given its capacity and operating condition. The magnetic flux of the permanent magnet was analyzed based on the magnet flux density equation, using the Maxwell equation and the environmental condition. The motor performance, according to the load, was analyzed using the finite element method in order to design validation. The motor assembly was developed by designing the motor drive and the EMI filters. The performance test results of the motor assembly for the fuel boost pump were consistent with the analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to control of the low-speed, high-precision PMSM 2-axes pitch/turning. In this paper, apply the PAM-PWM inverter for it. However, The PAM-PWM inverter, control algorithms and hardware is complex. But it is possible to improve the performance in the low-speed operation can reduce the effect of the PWM ripple and Dead Time of inverter by applying suitable DC-bus voltage control. The direct driver PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) configured to vector control part, PAM control part and the other controller. The vector control part includes PI current, speed control, additional space vector modulation. PAM control part has to have PI voltage controller and P current controller for DC-bus voltage control. Besides, the motor position estimator, the speed estimator and the counter electromotive force and Dead Time Compensation are added. With this arrangement, PMSM was driven with a low pole pitch/turning by performing the current control to the current command or torque command is the paper. As a result, it was possible to minimize the disturbance component that appears in the drive in proportion to the DC voltage magnitude. The use of a hydraulic drive method for a two-axis bubble column is a typical tank. When using the PWM PAM inverter driver is in the turret can be driven by high-precision, low vibration, low noise compared to the hydraulic drive may contribute to the computerization of the turret.
