대전 지역 주민의 건강 향상을 위한 식습관 및 건강상태, 질병 대처 방안에 관한 기초자료와 교육 요구도 조사 (Survey on Food Habits, Health Condition and Precaution for Disease for the Health Improvement of Community People in Taejon)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate some problems related to health and to identify citizen's needs related to nutrition education program. The data were analyzed by using $x^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA and multiple range test. The food habits score was 70.0 of 100. The score of man was 69.0, while that of woman was 72.6. Since woman's food habit was better than man, education to man is more needed. Man's BMI was 22.5 and that of woman was 21.4. W/H ratio of man was 0.85 and that of woman was 0.80. BMI and W/H ratio increased as age increases. Systolic blood pressure was 123.5mmHg and diastolic blood pressure was 83.2mmHg. All age groups need the education of blood pressure control. Since subjects who did regular exercise were only 26.3%, these community people needed more regular exercise, specially woman. It turned out that subjects were afraid of cancer, hypertension, cerebral vascular diseases which are related with food habits. The disease or symptom having the highest mobility were dental disease, gastroenteric disorder, headache and constipation. They asked for counselling about health, diet therapy, protection methods of disease and menu planning etc. The program of education for health and good food habits should be developed according to subjects's age, sex, education etc. These results showed primary needs on the curriculum of citizen's education program for enhancing health. In addition, we suggest the research on the practical curriculum of nutrition education program.

Outcomes of Primary Unilateral Cheiloplasty in Same-Day Surgical Settings

  • Background Financial, clinical, and psychological considerations have made same-day surgery an attractive option for a variety of procedures. This article aimed to analyse the postoperative results of same-day primary unilateral cleft nasolabial repair. Methods This study was performed from 2011 to 2014. Unilateral cleft lip patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria were preoperatively classified as mild, moderate, and severe. All patients underwent same-day surgery and were discharged after satisfying the appropriate clinical criteria, receiving thorough counselling, and the establishment of a means of communication by phone. Postoperative outcomes were assessed and stratified according to preoperative severity and the type of repair. Results A total of 423 primary unilateral cleft lip patients were included. Fisher's anatomical subunit approximation technique was the most common procedure, followed by Noordhoff's technique. The postoperative outcome was good in 89.8% of cases, fair in 9.9% of cases, and poor in 0.2% of cases. The complication rate was 1.18% (n=5), and no instances of mortality were observed. The average hospital stay was 7.5 hours, leading to a cost reduction of 19% in comparison with patients who stayed overnight for observation. Conclusions Mild unilateral cleft lip was the most common deformity for which Fisher's anatomical subunit approximation technique was performed in most of the cases, with satisfactory postoperative outcomes. Refinements in the cleft rhinoplasty techniques over the course of the study improved the results regarding cleft nasal symmetry. Single-day primary unilateral cleft cheiloplasty was found to be a cost-effective procedure that did not pose an additional risk of complications.

지역약국 약료서비스 제공의 장애요인: 약사 대상 설문조사 (Pharmacists' Perceptions of Barriers to Providing Appropriate Pharmaceutical Services in Community Pharmacies)

  • Background: In order to achieve the goals of community pharmacy practice, its legal, labour-related, and economic barriers need to be identified. This study examined pharmacists' perceptions of constraints on providing optimal pharmacy services in order to identify underlying factors and analyse the associations between barriers and pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies. Methods: A survey targeting pharmacy owners was conducted from May to June 2012 using a structured questionnaire including nine pharmaceutical service items. According to the service provision level, we classified pharmacists as inactive (fewer than 5 items among the listed 9 service items) and active providers (5 or more items). Principal component analysis was used to group significant factors for barriers into four thematic components. Associations between the participants' demographics and pharmacy characteristics and the services provided were explored by logistic regression analyses. Results: Participants were 402 pharmacists. Over 60% provided disease management services for hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia. Variables that affected pharmaceutical services included the lack of separate areas for patient counselling (OR: 2.12, 95% CI: 1.18-3.80), and clinical knowledge and information-related barriers (OR: 0.59, 95% CI: 0.36-0.97). Conclusion: Strategies for improving clinical knowledge and providing expeditious information are necessary in order to improve community pharmacy services.

학업부진 대학생을 위한 또래 멘토링 프로그램의 효과 분석 (Outcome Analysis of a Peer Mentoring Program for College Students on Academic Probation)

  • Purpose: There are a number of issues that can prevent students from obtaining a college degree. Our aim is to support academic probation students to improve their grades through a peer mentoring program. Method: 29 students as peer mentors were enrolled to provide support for 35 academic probation students and 51 as control. All students participated in the 4 month-long program including mentoring twice a week and out of campus activities. To identify factors affecting the change in the participants' GPA, a self-efficacy scale and an interpersonal support evaluation list were given to them before, as well as after the program. Using the SPSS/PC program, Chi-square test, paired t-test, ANOVA and lineal regression were applied. Results: All subjects significantly improved their self-efficacy and interpersonal support evaluation after the program (P<.001). The largest change in GPA after the program was shown in academic probation group (P<.001). Group, general self-efficacy, tangible help, belonging all were put into a regression model explaining the change in their GPA after the program (modified R squre is 69.5%, P<.05). Conclusion: A mentoring program, which aims to enhance self-efficacy and interpersonal support, can provide positive influences for a college student who needs a little extra attention from a peer.

대학생의 자아분화, 자아존중감과 정신건강간의 관계 - 우울, 불안을 중심으로 (A Study on Relationships among University Students' Self-differentiation, Self-esteem and Mental Health : Focused on Depression and Anxiety)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine relationships among university students' self-differentiation, self-esteem and mental health. The subjects were 400 students of four universities in Busan and Gyungnam area. A questionnaire survey was done. The results of this study are as follows : First, the levels of university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were high. Second, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were correlated positively. Third, the levels of university students' depression and anxiety were relatively low. It showed that the subjects' mental health of this study were not bad. Fourth, depression had no significant difference by gender. However, female students had higher anxiety than male students had. Fifth, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem had negative correlation with depression and anxiety, and self-esteem played a role of mediating variable between self-differentiation and mental health. Sixth, family projection, family regression and self integration of self-differentiation had indirect influence upon the students' mental health through self-esteem, while cognitive-emotional function had direct influence upon mental health and had indirect influence upon mental health through self-esteem as well. In this study, university students' self-differentiation and self-esteem were found to be important variables having influence upon mental health, and self-differentiation had indirect influence upon mental health through self-esteem. Counselling intervention strategies should be established considering self-differentiation and self-esteem of the students who complained about their maladjusted emotion and human relation problems at schools. Also, programs enhancing self-differentiation and self-esteem of university students should be developed and the execution of these programs will be needed to help the university students who experienced mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and so on.

u-웰니스를 위한 u-헬스케어 시스템의 설계와 구현 (Design and Implementation of u-Healthcare System for u-Wellness)

  • 본 u-웰니스는 병원 등 의료서비스 공급자 측과 개인에게 광범위하게 적용하는 개념으로, 공급 측의 u-피트니스, 화상 건강 상담 서비스 등과 함께 개인 측면의 스트레스 관리, 비만 관리, 운동량 체크 등을 포함하는 개념이다. 본 논문에서는 개인을 식별하는 인증장치로 사용자의 스마트폰을 사용하고 이 장치를 통해 체지방 분석, 건강관리 전문가의 처방기록을 받은 기록을 바탕으로 운동기구들과 Wi-Fi 통신을 통하여 운동량을 측정 및 관리하는 u-헬스케어 시스템을 설계하고 구현 하였다. 본 시스템은 건강관리 전문가의 처방을 통해 사용자의 최적화된 운동량을 처방 받아 효율적인 운동을 할 수 있도록 해준다. 또한 본 시스템은 체지방 측정기계와 전문가의 측정 결과를 수치화 하고 운동기구들의 이용 횟수 등을 데이터베이스로 구축하고 자동 스케줄 관리를 해준다.

모래놀이를 통해 본 정서·행동에 어려움이 있는 여중생의 내면세계의 변화 (The Change of the Internal World in Middle School Girls Having Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties by Exploring Their Sandplay)

  • Objective: Middle school girls who belonged to the concerned group in their school assessment were treated by sandplay for relieving their emotional and behavioral difficulties. The purpose of this study was to explore the change of the internal world of the girls through sandplay. Methods: Analytical psychology and sandplay theories were used for this exploration, especially Turner's (2005) content themes in sandplay. The participants were four first-grade girls. Pre-test measures, a 12-session sandplay program, and post-test measures were administered. Results: For the first girl, the initial phase was 1-6 (time trip), the intermediate phase was 7-9 (seeking for an inner island), and the final phase was 10-12 (seeking for a real stone). For the second girl, the initial phase was 1-5 (my heart was like cold weather), the intermediate phase was 6-10 (fallen, sick, and risen), and the final phase was 11-12 (trophy given to me). For the third girl, the initial phase was 1-5 (seeking for oasis), the intermediate phase was 6-10 (difficult trip for climbing with camel), and the final phase was 11-12 (discovering oasis). For the fourth girl, the initial phase was 1-3 (an island drowning shortly ), the intermediate phase was 4-10 (my unknowable mind), and the final phase was 11-12 (a tree growing well). Conclusion: This study showed psychological phenomena in the sandplay of four girls such as opposites and the union of masculinity and femininity as they explored their own identity. Drawing tests and counselling objects indicated positive changes; thus, these findings support the effectiveness of sandplay therapy for transforming the psyche of middle school girls.

영양상담료의 의료보험화를 위한 연구 (A study of the payment of nutrition counseling services)

  • This study was performed to investigate the cost of nutrition counseling service at present and to suggest the guideline for the payment. Data were collected using questionnaires and the cost of counseling was expected by analyzing the time consumed and needed for nutrition counseling. The results were as follows; In the case of diabetes, mean time of nutrition counseling was 69.7$\pm$35.3min/case, but the dietitian asked 82.7$\pm$44.6min/case for counseling and in the cases of renal diseases, mean time of counseling was 64.3$\pm$24.1min/case and the time asked was 84.8$\pm$34.5min/case (P<001) It was found that time was not enough to educate or counsel the clients. The cost of counseling was not counted in 20.3% of the respondants and the mean nutrition counseling fee was 5,460.6$\pm$3,547.7won/case in in-patient. The group education fee was 6,168$\pm$2,813won/case. The estimations of the cost for nutrition counseling services using labor cost were 18,463.5won in case of diabetes and 18,463.5won/case for patients of renal disease and in group education 8,111.5won and 7,404.3won respectively.

대학교의 인성교육진흥을 위한 교양교과 개발 및 효과성 연구 (Efficacy Analysis of Developed Course for Promoting Character Education with Women's University Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학의 인성교육을 목표로 개발된 교양교과목의 효과성을 검증하고 결과를 논의함으로써, 향후 개선된 인성교육 교과를 개발하기 위함에 목적이 있다. 연구는 지방의 K대학교의 마음나눔교육부에서 대학의 교육 목표에 따라 개발된 '마음교양' 교양교과를 대상으로 효과성을 검증하였다. 교과는 15주로 진행했으며 구체적인 인성교육의 내용은 '감사'의 가치관 증진으로 구성되었다. 효과성을 검증하기 위해 켄터키 마음챙김기술 척도, 게슈탈트접촉경계진단검사, 나의식우리의식 척도, 자존감 척도를 사용하였다. 연구대상자는 '마음교양' 교양교과를 수강한 학생(실험군)과 수강하지 않은 학생(통제군) 229명의 자료이며, 연구방법은 집단간 차이분석을 하였다. 분석결과, 게슈탈트접촉경계진단검사의 하위요인인 연결성 척도에서만 유의미한 집단간 차이를 보였다(t=2.323, p=.021). 이는 대인관계에서의 연결성 회복을 시사하며, 인성교육의 일부 효과성이 검증되었음을 의미한다. 추후 연구에서는 감사의 마음이외에 K대학교의 교육이념을 반영한 교과 내용을 구체화하고, 교육방법에서도 K여자대학의 교육 목표를 구체적으로 반영한 교과개발이 필요함이 논의되었다.

스마트미디어중독 예방체계 실태와 융복합 정책 연구 (A Study on the Condition of Prevention System and Convergence Policy for Smart Media Addiction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트미디어 중독예방 지원체계의 현황과 문제점을 탐색해보고 스마트미디어 중독을 예방하는 융복합정책 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 문헌연구를 토대로 진행된 연구의 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 우리사회의 스마트미디어 중독예방체계로는 스마트쉼센터, 한국청소년복지상담개발원, 아이윌센터 등 정부산하기관이 존재한다. 그러나 이 예방체계들은 연령별, 지역별 특성을 반영한 대상 맞춤형 서비스가 제공되지 않을 뿐만 아니라 획일적으로 규제중심이라는 것이 문제로 지적되었다. 선진국 사례를 통해 제시된 정책방안으로 규제보다는 책임감 있는 사용의 교육, 가족 참여를 유도하는 개입의 강화, 유해환경 차단시스템을 확충, 그리고 지자체, 민간기관의 협력을 통한 중앙정부의 통합적 관리의 필요성이 제시되었다. 스마트미디어 중독은 새롭게 주목을 받는 문제이므로 우리사회의 기준에 부합하는 예방정책을 마련하기 위한 후속연구의 필요성을 제기하였다.
