소비자상담사의 업무수행, 만족도 및 업무지속의사에 대한 연구 (Study on Consumer Counselors' Work Performance, Satisfaction and Willingness to Sustain the Work)

  • This research examined the work performance by consumer counselors, evaluations of their counseling work, the level of their satisfaction, and willingness to sustain consumer counseling work among Consumer Agencies and also identified the variables influencing the evaluation scores on those. The results were summarized as follows. First, the evaluation scores on the work performance of consumer counseling were generally high and they turned out to be generally satisfied with their work. On the other hand, most counselors responded that they would continue their counseling work. Second, there were differences in evaluation scores about speed and specialized area of counseling among Consumer Agencies. Counselors who worked for the Korea Consumer Protection Board recorded high scores in those both criteria. There were differences in the willingness of counselors to continue their counseling work among Consumer Agencies, too. Third, the evaluation scores in six areas of counseling tasks were high when the degree of satisfaction of counselors were high or when agencies treated the counseling important. Fourth, when counselors earned more salaries and owned the experience of in-firm training and when the Consumer Agencies highly valued counseling as consumer tasks, the degree of satisfaction among counselors increased. Finally, when counselors were old, major in consumer science, and held regular work-schedule, they exhibited high degree of satisfaction in their counseling work and they showed greater willingness to sustain their counseling work.

  • This study examined differences in counseling work and work performance in a firm by the individual characteristics of counselors. This study also investigated the effects of consumer counselor's reaction and stress from counseling work on counselor satisfaction in regards to counseling work and work performance. The results of this study are as follows. First, consumer counselor's work satisfaction was high for female counselors, university-educated, with middle or high status occupations, had short work years, had a higher tendency towards consumerism, worked in a counseling department with an active reaction policy towards consumer complaints, and had a lower level. Second, the work performance of a counselor was high for those who were older, university-educated, had short work years, worked in large-size counseling departments in a firm, had a higher tendency of consumerism, and worked in counseling departments with active reaction policies toward consumer and consumer's complaints. Third, consumer counselor's work stress effected work satisfaction but did not influence work performance. The counselor's reaction towards consumer's complaints influenced the work performance but did not influence the work satisfaction of a counselor.

영양상담을 통한 식사행동의 변화가 운동선수의 운동능력 향상에 미치는 효과 (A Behavior-Modification Approaches to Improved Exercise Performance for Athletes Through the Multipe Nutritional Counseling)

  • Management of nutrient intakes through behavior-mordification can be important for improving exercise performance in athletes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of nutritional counseling for improving exercise performance capability in athletes. The subjects were seven golfers and fourteen ju-do athletes from Hoseo university, and they have nor received professional hel[ from dieticians. Prior to nutritional counseling, their dietary intakes, lifestyles and dietary habits were evaluated. Nutritional counseling sessions were conducted by a trained dietician every 2-3 weeks for 3-4 month. After 5 counseling sessions, nutrient intakes, lifestyle and dietary habits were re-evaluated. Exercise performance capability was measured by maximal exercise stress test using treadmills. Individual data were assessed as quality index represents the better nutritional status. The common dietary and lifestyle problems were overeating binging, overeating, snacking and drinking alcohol prior to the nutritional counseling. After counseling sessions, the quality index of dietary habits seemed to decrease, especially in ju-do athletes, representing nutritional problems were resolved. Body fat and body mass index decreased in ju-do athletes, but not in golfers. Both athletes have shown to increase oxygen uptake at anaerobic threshold and maximal oxygen uptake status, which represents that the athletic performance capacity was improved after counseling sessions. Their respiratory quotients were decreased. In conclusion, nutritional counseling sessions over five times are an effective and efficient approach to change dietary habits to improve exercise performance capacity. Furthermore, clients can have good dietary habits and learn how to manago muscle strength by behavior modification through multiple nutritional counseling sessions. 소비자상담 현장실습에 대한 실습생의 평가 및 실습만족도 (Interns′ Evaluation and Satisfaction with their Consumer Counseling Internship Programs)

  • This study investigated the internship experiences of female college students who have participated in consumer counseling programs. The factors that determine interns' counseling time and interns' level of satisfaction with the programs were examined. Major results of this study are summarized in the following. First, interns' time spent on counseling consumers was the longest for the program at the Korean Consumer Protection Board, followed by the programs at consumer agencies and firms. The time spent on counseling by interns was shorter when there was l) a larger number of employees; 2) a smaller proportion of female employees: 3) a larger number of counseling rooms and a higher the frequency of counseling at the agency; and 4) a lower evaluation on the work performance of the counseling agency and the employees. Second, the level of utilization of interns was the highest in consumer agencies, followed by the Korean Consumer Protection Board. When all employees were female and the evaluated level of work performance of the counseling agency and employees was high, the level of intern utilization was also high. Third, the evaluated level of work performance was the highest at the Korean Consumer Protection Board, and interns' satisfaction with the internship program was the highest with the consumer agencies and the Korean Consumer Protection Board. Fourth, interns were highly satisfied with the program when the level of intern utilization was high and the agency's operation was evaluated as good.

고객상담 부서 직원의 상담업무교육이 업무수행 및 업무 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effects of consumer counselor's work training in firm work performance and satisfaction)

  • This study examines the effects of consumer counseling education on the work performance and work satisfaction of consumer counselors, controlling the effects of other variables. The results of this study is as below: First, approximately 70% of consumer counselors have not had any education pertinent to their work. The level of work performance was highest in listening to customers' complaints, and then consistence of counseling work and explanation for counseling were next. Professionality was the last in order. Second, consumer counseling education did not affect the work performance. Instead, the number of counselors and work experience, along with whether the counselor majored in consumer studies, were more likely to increase the performance. Finally, educating counseling skills did not affect the level of work satisfaction. Instead, the work performance affected the level of work satisfaction. The number of workers and income were positively related with the level of work satisfaction.

HIV감염인 상담간호사의 직무역량 분석 (Analysis on Job Competencies of HIV Counseling Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the job competencies of HIV counseling nurses and to figure out the importance, level of difficulty, and performance frequency of the competencies. Methods: The job competencies were drawn from 22 HIV counseling nurses by developing new models and utilizing specialist groups. The importance, level of difficulty, and performance frequency of the competencies were analyzed using the average and deviation. Results: The results of this study identified 6 job competencies such as counseling performance, expertise utilization, cooperation, support, administration, and self-development, 28 sub-competencies, and 48 job descriptions. Out of the 6 job competencies, counseling performance recorded high levels in the importance, level of difficulty, and performance frequency. Conclusion: The study results will be used as the basic data of the training programs for strengthening the job competencies of HIV counseling nurses. Furthermore, it is expected that the results will contribute to the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission, the core of the national HIV/AIDS control programmes, and the improved health and quality of life in people living with HIV.

Design of Target Cyber Counseling System using Counseling Assistance Agent

  • Because of the characteristics of the cyber world, such as usefulness, anonymousness, patency, economic performance, rapidness, etc., cyber counseling has great possibility. Because he or she may not meet a consultant directly, a client can expose his/her inside problems or secret personal problems, keeping anonymousness. However, existing cyber counseling has the limit in durability of counseling because target counseling appropriate to a client is impossible and a counseling activity is done by one time counseling. In this paper, we attempt to develop a target cyber counseling system in which target cyber counseling is possible. The system will use a counseling assistance agent who can play the role of a counseling supporter as well as a counselor in the cyber space. If target counseling becomes possible, it can heighten efficiency of cyber counseling because a client is satisfied with the result of counseling and thus counseling activities can be continued.

임상영양서비스에 대한 환자의 인식 조사 (Patient Perceptions of Clinical Nutrition Service)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the patient perception of clinical nutrition service. The research was performed by using questionnaires and conducted from February 14 to March 15 at 42 hospitals (over 400 beds). 41.7% of patients experienced nutritional education and counseling. The mean score of the patients' perception on clinical nutritional service was 4.62/5.00 for "nutrition care is important for treatment of the disease", 4.49/5.00 for "diet therapy is necessary for treatment of the disease", 4.16/5.00 for "nutritional counseling call-centers are necessary", 4.13/5.00 for "nutritional consultation fee is required to apply insurance benefits", 4.12/5.00 for "one-to-one nutrition system is necessary", and 3.56/5.00 for "nutrition services I am willing to pay". The patients who had no past experience in nutritional education and counseling showed significantly higher scores for "nutrition care is important for treatment of the disease", "one-to-one nutritional care system is necessary", and "nutritional counseling call-centers are necessary" (P<0.05). The mean scores for the importance (4.26/5.00) and performance (3.88/5.00) of nutrition counseling service were significantly different (P<0.01). "Nutritional counseling is available whenever I want" had the highest gap score between performance and importance among nutrition counseling service items. The importance and performance grid showed that highly important items had high performance (doing great area) and less important items have low performance (low priority).

전국 아동병원 영양사의 식품알레르기 관련 인식도 및 수행도: 임상영양사 자격증 유무에 따른 비교 (Food Allergy-related Awareness and Performance of Dietitians at Children's Hospitals in Korea: Comparison of Certificate Possession among Clinical Dietitians)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the food allergy-related knowledge, awareness, and performance of dietitians at children's hospitals, depending on whether or not they have a clinical dietitian certificate. Methods: A questionnaire survey was administered to 41 dieticians at children's hospitals registered as a part of the Korean Hospital Association. The survey consisted of questionnaires examining general characteristics, nutritional counseling-related characteristics, and food allergy-related characteristics (food allergy-related knowledge, awareness, and performance). We examined differences according to the status of clinical dietitian certification. Results: The proportion of subjects who were holders of clinical dietitian certificates was 48.8%. There were differences between holders of clinical dietitian certificates and non-holders as follows. Regarding nutritional awareness and performance, 'needs to provide nutrition counseling in children's hospitals', 'providing nutrition counseling services in working hospitals', and 'whether there is a nutrition counseling room' scored higher among holders of clinical dietitian certificates than non-holders. Holders of clinical dietitian certificates showed higher scores for knowledge of food allergy symptoms and food allergy management than non-holders. For food allergy awareness and performance, 'self-assessment of food allergy knowledge understanding level', 'awareness of open oral food challenge (OFC)', 'recognition of the need for education and counseling on food allergy for patients / guardians', and 'food allergy related educational experience' scored higher among holders of clinical dietitians certificates than in non-holders. Conclusions: Children's hospital dietitians with a clinical dietitian certificate showed high knowledge, awareness, and performance related to food allergies. It is thus necessary to employ a clinical dietitian for food allergy management in children's hospitals. In addition, training and conservative education are necessary for the management of food allergies for children's hospital dietitians.

경북 지역 학교 영양 교사의 영양 상담 시행에 따른 직무만족도와 중요도-수행도 조사 (Job Satisfaction and Perception of Importance-Performance among Nutrition Counseling by Nutrition Teachers in Kyungbuk Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the practical nutrition counseling system by investigating job perception and satisfaction among school nutrition teachers in Kyungbuk area. One hundred and fifty school nutrition teachers were surveyed and 128 answered(85.3%). Data were analyzed by frequency(%), $x^2$-test, and pearson's correlation analyses. Nutrition teachers in elementary schools conducted nutrition counseling more than those in middle schools. In descending order, the reasons for not conducting nutrition education were lack of time, inadequate system for the nutrition counseling, lack of curriculum and lack of facilities. Respondents thought that reduced workload was important to conduct nutrition counseling. However, nutrition counseling should be actively utilized as teachers showed high satisfaction. Therefore, systematic support from related departments combined with effective nutrition counselling methods for nutrition teachers should be continuously provided.
