The purpose of this study was to investigate and suggest directions and assignments of elementary school counseling based on positive psychology. For this purpose, the goal, contents, techniques and effects of counseling based on positive psychology were examined. Based on this review, the suggested implications for directions and assignments of elementary school counseling as follows; In connection with the directions of elementary school counseling, first, it was suggested that problem-focused counseling approaches centered a small number of problem children should be changed to strength based counseling approaches facilitating all children's whole development, happiness and well-being. Second, it was suggested that continuous and systematic counseling helps should be served to all children so that they can aware, experience and use their character strengths in their all lives at the inside and outside of their school. In connection with the assignments of elementary school counseling, first, increasing children's understanding on happiness, developing counseling programs for enhancing happiness and verifying their effects were discussed. Second, developing effective applying plans of positive counseling techniques and verifying their effects were discussed. Finally, making researches on our children's character strengths and interventions for developing their character strengths were discussed.
In conducting school violence counseling to solve school violence, this study studied the use of school violence counseling to solve school violence by forming a correct peer relationship. Through this study, we can see that peer relations are an important factor in preventing school violence in school violence counseling. The findings are as follows. First, school violence counseling should first protect and heal victims. The primary goal of school violence counseling should begin with consideration for the victims and be placed on the continuation of the victim's right peer relationship. That's how important peer relationships are. Second, not only victims of school violence counseling, but also perpetrators should be included in the list of counsels. In other words, there may be many cases where counseling is usually focused only on the victim. Therefore, the peer relationship can continue even after school violence, so customized counseling is needed not only for victims but also for perpetrators. Third, for school violence counseling, the recovery of peer relations and insight into life are important. Therefore, the focus should be on self-reflection and the restoration of relations between the parties, not on a disciplined or disciplined, controlled perspective. Fourth, we should recognize the importance of peer relations in school violence and activate the 'old counseling program'. Therefore, school violence counselors should optimize their programs by reflecting on-site needs so that they can act as emotional facilitators, problem solvers, and empathic cultural promoters in their roles. In conclusion, school violence counseling should basically be involved in peer relationships. School violence counseling should develop and implement programs focusing on the formation of proper peer relations in order to eradicate school violence.
This thesis aims to examine the influences of self-regulatory group counseling on self-regulation and school life satisfaction of the higher grade students in Elementary school. To achieve this aim, the following research questions were posed: First, What kind of influence does the self-regulatory group counseling have on the self- regulation of the higher grade students in Elementary school. Second, What kind of influence does the self-regulatory group counseling have on school life satisfaction scale of the higher grade students in Elementary school. In order to verify these research questions, the self-regulation test and school life satisfaction scale were conducted to both the experimental group and control group in pre-test, next, self-regulatory group counseling was practiced to the experimental group. And finally, a post-test was given to both the experimental group and control group. For this study, 200 students from 6th-grader of S Elementary school located in Incheon were given the self-regulation test and chosen 50 students who received low marks. Then, 50 students were researched into the school life satisfaction scale and chosen 16 students who got average-below score again. It was two matching groups through consideration of their score of the school life satisfaction scale, 8 students were arranged to the experimental group and the rest to the control group. The Self-Regulatory Group Counseling program developed by Eun Hyuck-gi(1999). The program was based on the following three programs: "The development. of the Cognitive-Behavioral Counseling therapy and their reports" by Kim HyeSuk(1996), Group counseling" by Brigman and Early(1991) and the study on the improving program in human relation" by Park KyeongAe(1998). The Self-Regulatory Group Counseling program activity was conducted during 6 weeks. Each session was 60 minutes and it continued for 8 sessions. The data collected to find out a difference in self-regulation and the degree of school life satisfaction between the experimental and control groups were processed by means of SPSSWIN program, and the post-test between both the groups were comparatively analyzed through t-test, a mean difference test. The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this study. First, the self-regulatory group counseling program has obvious effect of improving the self-regulation of the higher grade students in Elementary school. Second, the self-regulatory group counseling program has obvious effect of improving the school life satisfaction of the higher grade students in Elementary school. Particularly, this study shows statistical significance in cognitive facts of the self-regulation and the degrees of satisfaction with general school life, teacher, friend and facilities. Since the self-regulatory group counseling program has positive effects on self-regulation and satisfaction with their school life, It is required to utilize the structured self-regulatory group counseling program in school more widely to help students.

Objectives: We conducted a retrospective chart review to investigate the effects of Korean Medicine (KM) treatment on weight loss in patients with morbid obesity (body mass index [BMI]≥30 kg/m2) and to compare the effects of KM counseling and non-counseling on weight loss. Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of patients with morbid obesity who received KM treatment for at least 1 month. We evaluated the effects of KM treatment on body weight, BMI, body fat, fat mass, EuroQol-5D, and the Korean version of the obesity-related quality of life scale (KOQOL). We also assessed the liver and kidney functions, and adverse events. We performed a comparative analysis between the counseling and non-counseling groups. Results: A total of 37 patients who underwent 4 weeks of KM treatment involving Wolbi-tang, electroacupuncture, and KM counseling were included in this study. Twenty-one patients were assigned to the counseling group and sixteen patients to the non-counseling group. There was a significant decrease in weight, BMI, fat mass, and KOQOL (P<0.05) with improvements in total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, and triglycerides. The counseling group had a greater reduction in body weight, BMI, body fat, and fat mass compared to the non-counseling group, although it was not significant. In the BMI below 35 (n=25), the reduction ratio of body weight, body fat mass, and body fat was higher in the counseling group than in the non-counseling group; additionally, body fat decreased significantly in counseling group (P<0.05). No severe adverse effects were observed. Conclusion: KM treatment could be effective for weight loss, especially in patients with morbid obesity, KM counseling could also be a good tool for weight loss, typically in patients with BMI<35 kg/m2.
The purpose of this study was to develop a manipulation system for nutrition counseling based on internet. This system offers convenient user interface and the synthetic counseling results with various utilities. This system consists of the general information of clients, the anthropometry data and the calculation of obesity and body index, the state of eating habits, calorie expenditure, clinical symptoms, the convenient method for analysis of nutrients, biochemical data and nutrition prescription. Having interoperability, these functions preserve the information of clients and manage the historical data. This system can insert, store, print out and generate the synthetic information of clients to provide a suitable and efficient nutrition counseling information. With accumulated client data, It does the nutrition education and counseling simultaneously. As it is developed based on internet, it provides friendly user interface. Also, Managing clients' information connected to database, it can provide a systematic and formal information. It is possible for the system to retrieve information and counsel in real time. It is expected that the nutrition counseling management system can improve the national health with animated nutrition counseling.
The effective management of call centers under special circumstances is critical to improve customer satisfaction. In order to effectively respond to call center counseling demand, this paper aims to identify factors having the greatest impact on the number of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) call center counseling. To do so, we propose to combine call center data with severe weather announcement data and investigate how the severe weather announcement affects the number of KMA call center counseling. A time lag analysis is conducted and it is found that the severe weather announcement takes about an hour to be reflected in the number of KMA call center counseling. Based on the result of the time lag analysis, we conduct a comparative analysis according to time and season using the data collected from 1 January 2012, to 29 June 2016. The results show that the number of KMA call center counseling increases at lunchtime and decreases during nighttime, and the average rate of change in call center counseling demand tends to be larger under the severe weather announcement. For the comparative analysis according to the season, there are significant differences in the effect of severe weather announcement on the number of KMA call center counseling in spring, fall and winter.
Objectives In modern psychiatry, psychological counseling is important to mental curing. Although there are so many methods for mental curing, but counseling is known as the most efficient methods for mental curing. So, we are going to study about psychological counseling methods according to sasang constitution. Methods We analysed the characters of each constitution, and tried to find out which kind of counseling is suitable for each constitution. Results and Conclusions Soeumin is passive and tend to be depressive. So the self-esteem of soeumin is lower than that of other constitution. So, they mainly need social support and supportive counseling. Soyangin is tend to be extrovert group and easy to have fear. It is mainly caused by cognitive distortion, so they mainly need cognitive therapy. Taeumin is very stable and don't like to move. Taeumin Jeongchung(怔忡) is similar to panic disorder. So they need cognitive therapy and exercise counseling to exercise regularly. Taeyangin is tend to be angry, so they need meditation therapy to quell anger.
Purpose: With post-Genome Project, nurses must be able to incorporate genetic knowledge into their practice. The purpose of the present study aimed at providing the basic information needed to establish an education program for the training of nurses specialized in genetic counseling by comparing and analyzing the education contents in genetics of the various domestic and foreign nursing education institutions, identifying the problems of the existing programs, and investigating the current state of domestic genetic counseling programs. Result: The results of literature review were summarized as follows: Common curricula contents in Korea, Japan and U.S.A. were basic genetic knowledge, genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis. However, In Korea the curriculum was not included legal, ethical, and social issues. In U.S.A. the course was focused on health promotion related to genetics. The expanded role of nurses is to provide the genetic counseling for clients and their families. So, this articles provided a sample of the new genetic counseling program for nurses which are included basic genetics, genetic counseling, nurse's role and knowledge, legal, ethical, social issues and practicum. Conclusion: this study suggests that this educational program is to brought up genetic specialized nurses in the master's course in the near future.
Online financial counseling services are increasingly expanding with the rise of artificial intelligence-based chatbots. It is very important to examine the effects of emoticons noted as alternatives for communicating emotions in online communication between consumers and companies. In this paper, we examine how the use of emoticons affects the consumer's response and investigate the moderating roles of type of counseling agents (human vs. chatbot) and the consumer's subjective financial knowledge. The results show that the use of emoticon in the conversation brings a positive effect on the consumer's intention to use of online chat counseling service. When participants had relatively low subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling services with emoticons only when the agent type was chatbot. When the type of counseling agent was human, this positive effect of the emoticon did not occur. On the other hand, when participants had relatively high subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling service with emoticons only when the agent type was human. This study contributes to providing practical implications to build online chat counseling service using chatbot in the financial industry by studying users' intention depending on the type of agents and the level of their subjective knowledge.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of solution focused group counseling program on peer relationship and school life adaption of elementary school children. The subjects in this study were the 4th graders at S Elementary School in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do. 20 students were selected through the preliminary test of peer relationship and school life adaption, that is to say, each 10 students of experimental group and control group. A solution focused group counseling program was provided by researcher to the experimental group in six sessions once or twice a week, 60 minutes each. but control group was not conducted for any program. In verifying of the program effects in this study, KOREAN SPSS/WIN(version 12.0) is used for statistical analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, solution focused group counseling program has a positive effect on all parts of sub-factors of peer relationship except to union life between friends. Second, solution focused group counseling program has a effect on the school life adaption of elementary and its all parts of sub-factors except to school rules. As noted above, it is proved that solution focused group counseling program has a positive effect to improve parts of sub-factors of peer relationship and school life adaption. Accordingly, it is necessary to feel satisfaction and Qualitative improvement in peer relationship and help school life adaptation of elementary school children through solution focused group counseling program.
