A Study on the Life Cycle Cost Analysis of the See-through a-si Building Integrated Photovoltaic System (투광형 비정질 BIPV 시스템의 LCC 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the Life Cycle Cost(LCC) of three types of RTPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) systems-Glass plus Granite. Crystalline BIPV and See through Amorphous BIPV-which were vertically installed to generate the same power output(76 kW level). Initial investment costs. cost. savings and maintenance costs had been predicted during the period of analysing the LCC of three types of BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) systems installed for the purpose of evaluating the LCC. In case of cost savings, it had been analyzed by measuring the amount of electric power generated, reduction in lighting load and heat & cooling loads through simulation. From this analysis, it was predicted that the See-through amorphous BIPV offering cost saving advantages demonstrated the economical efficiency similar to the Class plus Granite when it is backed by more than 20 years of durability.

  • It is very important that there are saving resource and energy in the future as well as in these day. Weight saving of structural parts, which are formed by extrusion, plays a key role in manufacturing field. Extruded aluminum parts' cross sections are constant in the axial direction by conventional extrusion method. Especially these aluminum parts used in the car need other processes to vary the cross section in the axial direction. Thus, applications of these parts are limited by high cost. if the cross section of the parts is variable by only extrusion, application of extruded aluminum parts will more increase. Therefore, a new CNC extruder which can control the section area of a car part was invented the nation's first. Using the extrusion machine, the experiment was performed to validate the workability.

  • We have studied that a effect saving temperature of instantaneous heater using an economical bidet due to change Silicon-Tube. The results, we have found that the existing instantaneous heater is reduced 15 [%], 20 [%] better than a new product instantaneous heater as a discharge water [${\ell}$/min] with temperature and ${\nabla}$ value, respectively. Therefore, we have showed that the innovative effect of a working process and the cost reduction because an economical bidet due to change Silicon-Tube.

  • This paper deals with an empirical model for decoupling control to control the refrigeration system effectively. The conventional control schemes of the system are mainly focused on representative two control methods, superheat control and capacity control. The capacity control is basically conducted to respond partial loading conditions on the purpose of energy saving. The superheat control is mainly carried out to maintain maximum coefficient of performance (COP). In the variable speed refrigeration system, the capacity and the superheat are controlled by inverters and electronic expansion valves respectively for saving energy and improving cost performance. The capacity and superheat can not be controlled independently because of interfering loop when the compressor speed and opening angle electronic expansion valve is varied. Therefore, we suggest decoupling model to eliminate the interfering loop at first. Next, each transfer function in decoupling control model is obtained from number of experiments.

  • The video phone tube (VPT) of monochrome CRT have utilized home door phone, fish-finder and the rear watch monitors. Phosphor screen formation is made by electrodeposition spin coating and thermal transfer methods etc. Recently, thermal transfer method was developed, as a novel method, to form the phosphor surface for mnonchrom VPT. This method have advantages of simple process, automatization, clean environment, saving raw material and saving running-cost. In this study, it was developed new phosphor of VPT, and tested about phosphor paste properties. An experimental studies of VPT as a new phosphor property and improved VPT's manufacturing process shortening and brightness. As thermal transper method is a paste processing, it is important that rheology of phosphor effects on the formation of phosphor screen. Hence this paper was studied rheology properties of phosphor paste and the formation of phosphor screen had looked most suitable condition. Experimented thermal separation properties of low calcination temperature resin and the result analyzed comparison by TGA. Also, examined calcination properties to reduce remaining binder phosphor.

  • This paper studies Optical Fiber(OF) - LED illuminated display board system for energy saving. The OF-LED illuminated display board system has PV modules, batteries, and charge & discharge system, and dynamic full color display controller. Both maximum power point tracker (MPPT) and constant current & constant current controls (CCVC) are used In govern the charging system. It can be improve the charging efficiency of battery. The objective of this thesis paper is to build advertisement lighting system with OF-LED in to charge a 12-volts lead acid battery by using a field wired PV array. We saved the maintenance cost and developed of advertisement effectiveness. To verify the proposed OF-LED illuminated display board system for energy saving, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that operating characteristics are verified by experiment with a laboratory prototype in this paper.

Effective UML models by using database system

  • This study suggested ways to control UML diagram and to make design of database and to retrieve diagram information by giving questions. The study classified elements of the diagram. For instance, class diagram was made of classes, and class was done of class name and attribute operator. The elements were transformed to be database table having basic key and foreign key information. The ways suggested had advantages of users' sharing of model information and reuse of the model. This study investigated cost saving, time saving and UML model construction by database. We had designed integrated and relation database that could save and manage UML diagram, and suggested retrieval. For instance, we classified class diagram into elements to make tables and kept relation of each element by using not only basic key of relation database but also foreign key information. We made database of modeling depending upon methods to give users convenience.

  • Recently there are many efforts for saving energy in building. therefore Building energy management systems(BEMS) are expected to a reduction energy cost. BEMS has many benefits which could switch plant on and off automatically. Also It optimize plan operation and services, monitor plant status and environmental conditions and to provide energy analysis and management information. In these days, many public buildings are applied BEMS but there are few studies about application of small or medium buildings. Therefore, in this study, we will find how to apply BEMS in small or medium buildings.

  • Smart street light controller is a product with advance micro controller base for energy saving in conventional street lighting systems. Intelligent Street light controller are specially developed for automation and energy saving in conventional street light systems and lighting systems. It is so designed that it operates on sunrise & sun set timings according to longitude of particular location with facilitate to set month wise civil twilight timings to cope up with all seasons. Dimming (Power down) mode selection switch on/off at fixed times with relay or contactor. Night dimming, staggering and intelligent control reduces burn hours and increases the lifetime of lamps with about 30% and low annual operating cost type base are among the most inexpensive wireless technologies available. Low initial costs As PLC wireless, there is no need to establish cable connection.

  • In the respect of energy saving and reusing, it is necessary to reduce greenhouse gases emission and to enhance the operation efficiency in electric railway system. Recently, as the power electronics technologies are advanced, some countries have focused on the regenerative inverter to use regeneration energy on each line. When the electric tractions are stopped or slowed down, it is useful to supply the surplus energy to the power source by regenerative system, which increases its energy efficiency. Also, the generated energy can be supply to other tractions or equipments inside traction. Thus, it may help reduce construction cost of additional power plants. The purpose of this study is to describe the development status of the regenerative inverter system which suppress extra DC-line voltage and regenerate the energy instead of using a resister.
