The Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011 had an extensive impact on the national electricity plans. This paper outlines alternative electricity scenarios that meet the goals of nuclear phase-out and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction. This paper also analyzes the results of each scenario in respect to the electricity mix, GHG emissions, costs and employment effects. The Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system (LEAP) model was used to simulate the annual electricity demand and supply system from 2011 to 2030. The reference year was 2009. Scenarios are reference (where existing plans are continued), A1, A2, B1, B2, and C2 (where the levels of demand management and nuclear phase-out are different). The share of renewable energy in the electricity mix in 2030 for each scenario will be increased from about 1% in 2009 to 8% in the reference scenario and from 11% to 31% in five alternative scenarios. Total cumulative cost increases up to 14% more than the reference scenario by replacing nuclear power plants with renewable energy in alternative scenarios could be affordable. Deploying enough renewable energy to meet such targets requires a roadmap for electricity price realization, expansion of research, development and deployment for renewable energy technologies, establishment of an organization dedicated to renewable energy, and ambitious targets for renewable energy.

DC Bus Electrolytic capacitors have been widely used in power conversion system because they can achieve high capacitance and voltage ratings with volumetric efficiency and low cost. This type of capacitors have been traditionally used for filtering, voltage smoothing, by-pass and other many applications in power conversion circuits requiring a cost effective and volumetric efficiency components. Unfortunately, electrolytic capacitors are some of the weakest components in power electronic converter. Many papers have proposed different methods or algorithms to determinate the ESR and/or capacitance C for fault diagnosis of the electrolytic capacitor. However, both ESR and C vary with frequency and temperature. Accurate knowledge of both values at the capacitors operating conditions is essential to achieve the best reference data of fault judgement. According to parameter analysis, the capacitance increases with temperature and the ESR decreases. Higher frequencies make the ESR and C to decrease. Analysis results show that the proposed electrolytic capacitor parameter estimation technique can be applied to reference signal of capacitor diagnosis systems successfully.
In this paper, we introduce a method to obtain high-quality results at a low cost for simulating musculoskeletal characters based on data from the reference motion through motion capture on two-legged walking through reinforcement learning. We reset the motion data of the reference motion to allow the character model to perform, and then train the corresponding motion to be learned through reinforcement learning. We combine motion imitation of the reference model with minimal metabolic energy for the muscles to learn to allow the musculoskeletal model to perform two-legged walking in the desired direction. In this way, the musculoskeletal model can learn at a lower cost than conventional manually designed controllers and perform high-quality bipedal walking.

Nuclear power plants in Korea are usually built based on a duplicated model; so the project cost data of the preceding unit can be used as reference when estimating the project cost for the succeeding unit. However, since the contracting method is oriented towards the price, empirical factors such as making top-down estimations using the reverse calculation method based on the completion cost of the preceding unit is dominant. In order to develop a project cost database to resolve such problems, the detailed cost boundary of the project cost data must be categorized by project and by system. This study proposes a method to connect the code of account with the base quantities and the IAEA account, and proposes a database structure for the development of a project cost estimation system. The estimation system developed in the future is expected to utilize the proposed project cost data structure.

The recent situation on developments in an expanding field of reference and information service is reviewed through the cooperative arrangements and comprehensive planning among libraries in America. The growth of reference cooperation is examined first along with the social forces that influenced the library interdependence for service. Of the various interlibrary programs identified in relation to the cooperative reference work, interlibrary loan is viewed as the key to the use of library resources based on equal access and making use of the tools for information and research, therefore a reference principle. Several kinds of library systems specifically intended to improve the reference situation are identified and described in detail without any attempt to evaluate their performance in terms of unit size, cost, or quality of the service.

This research aims to propose a model to estimate the appropriate SE Cost rate to the total project cost when systems engineering applied to light rail transit project. In this research an investment cost estimation model is proposed with reference to COSYSMO (Constructive System Engineering Cost Model). This model includes four input factors such as requirement numbers, interface numbers, algorithm numbers, and scenario numbers. When 2600 requirement numbers are considered on a proposal document with 350 pages in a light rail transit specification of 500 billion~trillion won scale, COSYSMO demo version estimates 42.5 billion won of SE cost (about 5% of total project cost or about 10% of E&M cost).

A marginal abatement cost analysis has been conducted to analyze the effects of abatement measures on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Korean residential sector. A bottom-up model using MESSAGE has been developed by defining the energy demand and constructing the reference energy system for the residential sector. A great amount of activity data has also been analyzed. Abatement potentials and related costs of individual abatement measures are investigated. The result from the marginal abatement cost analysis may provide general guidelines and procedures for the establishment of GHG abatement polices.
The autonomous vehicles are being developed and operated widely because of the advantages of reducing the traffic accident and saving time and cost for driving. The vehicle localization is an essential component for autonomous vehicle operation. In this paper, localization algorithm based on sensor fusion is developed for cost-effective localization using in-vehicle sensors, GNSS, an image sensor and reference images that made in advance. Information of the reference images can overcome the limitation of the low positioning accuracy that occurs when only the sensor information is used. And it also can acquire estimated result of stable position even if the car is located in the satellite signal blockage area. The particle filter is used for sensor fusion that can reflect various probability density distributions of individual sensors. For evaluating the performance of the algorithm, a data acquisition system was built and the driving data and the reference image data were acquired. Finally, we can verify that the vehicle positioning can be performed with an accuracy of about 0.7 m when the route image and the reference image information are integrated with the route path having a relatively large error by the satellite sensor.

As the aging population increases and interest in well-being increases, the importance of developing special crops increases. Natural medicine based on the special crops has been mainly used as an adjunct therapy for many diseases and symptoms based on culture, traditional medicine, and experience. In particular, it is attracting attention as a new resource to develop new drugs such as Artemisinin, a treatment for malaria. In order to efficiently use crops, it is essential to establish omics data such as genomes, transcriptomes, and metabolites of special-purpose crops. However, many special-purpose crops have large, heterogeneous and polyploid genomes that require high cost and long time to reference genome sequencing. Therefore, we built an inexpensive, fast, but very usefill reference transcriptome as the first step. We constructed high-quality reference transcriptom sets of Codonopsis lanceolata and Ixeridium dentatum with PacBio data. Our team will continue to construct reference transcriptoms of more special-purpose crops, and the data will be released by the National Agricultural Biotechnology Information Center (NABIC) in order to be widely used in agricultural as well as medical R&D.

the reference values are high, because the Korean construction standards quote the foreign construction standars indiscriminately. Therefore ten experts were consulted to draw the items about the machine equipment construction standards for project cost saving in this study.
