Type-2 Gumbel 수명분포의 형상모수 변화에 따른 소프트웨어 신뢰성 비용모형의 속성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Attributes of Software Reliability Cost Model with Shape Parameter Change of Type-2 Gumbel Life Distribution)

  • 본 연구에서는 NHPP 모형을 적용한 Type-2 Gumbel 수명분포의 형상모수 변화에 따른 소프트웨어 개발비용모형에 관한 속성을 비교, 분석하였다. 소프트웨어 고장현상을 분석하기 위하여 모수추정은 최우추정법을 적용하였고, 비선형 방정식의 계산은 이분법을 사용하였다, 그 결과, 형상모수의 변화에 따른 비용곡선의 속성을 비교하였을 때 형상모수가 클수록, 소프트웨어 개발비용이 적고 또한, 방출시간도 가장 빠르다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여, 소프트웨어 개발자들에게 소프트웨어 형상모수 변화에 따른 개발비용을 탐색하는데 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 더불어 소프트웨어 개발비용에 관한 속성을 파악하는데 필요한 사전정보을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

관계형 데이터 웨어하우스의 복잡한 질의의 처리 효율 향상을 위한 비트맵 조인 인덱스 선택에 관한 연구 (A Study on Selecting Bitmap Join Index to Speed up Complex Queries in Relational Data Warehouses)

  • 데이터 웨어하우스는 크기가 방대하기 때문에 인덱스의 선택은 질의어 처리의 효율성에 상대한 영향을 준다. 인덱스는 질의 처리 비용을 줄이지만, 그것이 차지하는 기억 영역과 데이터베이스의 변경에 따른 보수라는 비용이 수반된다. 데이터 웨어하우스에서 하나의 사실 테이블과 여러 개의 차원 테이블 사이의 조인을 행하는 스타 조인 질의어와 차원 테이블의 선택을 최적화하기 위해서 비트맵 조인 인덱스가 잘 적용된다. 비트맵 조인 인덱스는 이진수로 표현되기 때문에 저장 비용은 적게 들지만 인덱스 할 후보 속성들이 많이 생성되기 때문에 그 중에서 인덱스 할 속성들을 선택하는 일은 어려운 과제가 된다. 인덱스 선택은 일단 후보 속성들의 개수를 축소하고, 그 중에서 인덱스를 선택하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 마이닝 방법을 사용해서 비트 맵 조인 인덱스 선택 문제에서 후보 속성들의 개수를 축소하는 것을 해결한다. 질의어에 있는 속성들의 빈도에 기준해서 후보 속성들의 개수를 감소시키는 기존의 방법에 비해서 본 논문은 속성들의 빈도를 사용함과 동시에 차원 테이블의 크기, 차원 테이블의 튜플 크기, 디스크의 페이지 크기 등을 고려한다. 그리고 데이터마이닝 기법으로 빈발 항목집합을 마이닝하여 후보 속성들의 개수를 효과적으로 줄인다. 후보 속성집합들의 비트 맵 조인 인덱스에 비용함수를 적용해서 최소의 비용과 기억 영역 제한에 적합한 속성집합들의 비트 맵 조인 인덱스를 구한다. 본 논문의 방법의 효율성을 평가하기 위해서 기존의 방법들과 비교 분석을 한다.

컨베이어 시스템 분기점에서의 셋업 최소화 문제 (Setup Minimization Problem in a Diverging Point of the Conveyor System)

  • The problem of constrained sequencing of a set of jobs on a conveyor system with the objective of minimizing setup cost is investigated in this paper. A setup cost is associated with extra material, labor, or energy required due to the change of attributes in consecutive jobs at processing stations. A finite set of attributes is considered in this research. Sequencing is constrained by the availability of conveyor junctions. The problem is motivated by the paint purge reduction problem at a major U.S. automotive manufacturer. We first model a diverging junction with a sequence-independent setup cost and predefined attributes as an assignment problem and this model is then extended for a more general situation by relaxing the initial assumptions in various ways.

  • In order to improve the reliability of cost estimation results using CBR, there has been a continuous issue on similarity measurement to accurately compute the distance among attributes and cases to retrieve the most similar singular or plural cases. However, these existing similarity measures have limitations in taking the covariance among attributes into consideration and reflecting the effects of covariance in computation of distances among attributes. To deal with this challenging issue, this research examines the weighted Mahalanobis distance based similarity measure applied to CBR cost estimation and carries out the comparative study on the existing distance measurement methods of CBR. To validate the suggest CBR cost model, leave-one-out cross validation (LOOCV) using two different sets of simulation data are carried out. Consequently, this research is expected to provide an analysis of covariance effects in similarity measurement and a basis for further research on the fundamentals of case retrieval.

  • To measure the effect of school zone on housing cost, Linear Regression Model is widely used, and school zone is known as a key determinant of housing cost in Korea. However, when the Hierarchical Linear Model (HLM) is applied with the same data, school effect on housing cost becomes statistically non-significant. It is because HLM effectively separates the effect of individual housing's attributes from the group effect. In sum, the housing cost of Kangnam, where good public schools are located, is apparently is higher than that of Kangbuk. However, the school effect on housing cost (Level 2) becomes non-significant when individual housing's attributes (Level 1) are controlled with HLM.

  • 본 연구에서는 감마족 분포(Erlang, Log-Logistic, Rayleigh)을 적용한 NHPP 소프트웨어 개발 비용 모형의 속성을 새롭게 분석하였고, 모형의 속성을 검증하기 위해 Goel-Okumoto 기본 모형과 비교한 후, 이를 근거로 최적의 모형도 제시하였다. 소프트웨어 신뢰도를 분석하기 위하여 시스템 운영 중 랜덤하게 발생한 고장 시간 데이터를 활용하였고, 모수의 계산은 최우추정법을 사용하여 해결하였다. 다양한 속성 분석(평균값 함수, 개발 비용, 최적의 방출시간)을 통하여 종합적으로 평가한 결과, Rayleigh 모형이 가장 우수한 성능을 가진 모형임을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통하여, 기존 연구 사례가 없는 감마족 분포를 적용한 소프트웨어 개발비용 모형의 속성을 새롭게 규명하였다. 또한, 개발자들이 초기 단계에서 본 연구 데이터를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있도록 기초적인 설계 데이터도 제시할 수 있었다.

저가항공사의 서비스품질이 항공사의 이미지와 행동의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Service Quality on Airline Image and Behavioral Intention of Low-Cost Carriers)

  • Purpose - This study attempts to examine the underlying dimensions of service quality (tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) for low-cost carriers. It subsequently seeks to determine the effect of the relationships of the dimensions of service quality, airline image, and behavioral intentions on airline services to provide adequate basic information and attributes for developing differentiated and competitive service marketing strategies. Research design, data, and methodology - The survey for this study was conducted on patrons with low-cost carrier boarding experiences in districts near universities and central businesses of Seoul and Busan from 5/10/2012 to 16/10/2012. Out of 346 questionnaires, 20 questionnaires with missing data and insincere answers were excluded for this study. Collected data were processed using SPSS 18.0, and the hypothesis was verified by analyzing the structural equation model with Lisrel 8.54. First, the frequency analysis was conducted to identify universal characteristics. Second, the exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to identify the accuracy of the variable measurements of the construct. Third, to assess uni-dimensionality and reliability, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Finally, to verify the adequacy of the research model and research hypothesis, the structural model was employed. Results - The results revealed that the factors, "tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy" were shown to be the most important dimensions of service quality for the airline image of the low-cost carrier which was consistent with previous studies. Therefore, it is fair to suggest that these verified factors are crucial attributes for the brand image of low-cost carriers. Second, as reliability and responsiveness were shown to be the most important factors for behavioral intentions, it is viable to suggest that these two attributes are crucial for the sales value of low-cost carriers. Further, it was found that the brand image of low-cost carriers was closely related to behavioral intentions. Therefore, in order to ensure the competitiveness and loyalty of patrons, the airline image value is a crucial attribute. Conclusions - The result of this study established that service quality is the most important attribute for marketing to ensure competitiveness, and intensive and differentiated service marketing play a crucial role in creating profits for low-cost carrier companies. First, as tangibility is found to be the most crucial factor in ensuring service quality, quality control and maintenance of medium and small carriers must be provided to ensure reliability, as they are the main attributes of low-cost carriers. Second, in order to promote positive behavioral intentions, it is essential to enhance the value of airline image. Third, in order to ensure competitiveness, it is imperative to carry out intensive and differentiated service marketing. Therefore, to promote the image of low-cost carriers and enhance behavioral intentions, the level of service quality must be secured by developing appropriate service improvement programs.

Inverse-type 수명분포에 근거한 유한고장 NHPP 소프트웨어 개발비용 모형의 성능에 관한 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on the Performance of Finite Failure NHPP Software Development Cost Model Based on Inverse-type Life Distribution)

  • 본 연구에서는 신뢰성 연구에 적합하다고 알려진 Inverse-type(: Inverse-Exponential, Inverse-Rayleigh) 수명분포를 유한고장 NHPP(: Nonhomogeneous Poisson Process) 기반의 소프트웨어 개발비용 모형에 적용한 후, 성능을 결정하는 속성을 분석하였다. 또한, 모형의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 Goel-Okumoto 기본 모형과 함께 비교하였다. 고장 시간 데이터를 이용하여 모형의 성능을 분석하였고, 모수의 계산은 MLE(: Maximum Likelihood Estimation)를 적용하였다. 결론적으로, 첫째, 개발비용을 결정하는 m(t)를 분석한 결과, Inverse-Exponential 모형이 참값에 대한 오차가 적어 효율적이었다. 둘째, 개발비용과 함께 방출시간을 분석한 결과 Inverse-Rayleigh 모형이 가장 좋은 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 제안된 모형의 속성(m(t), 비용, 방출시간)을 종합적으로 평가한 결과, Inverse-Rayleigh 모형의 성능이 가장 우수하였다. 따라서 소프트웨어 개발자가 초기 프로세스에서 본 연구 데이터를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있다면, 비용에 영향을 미치는 속성들을 사전에 탐색하고 분석할 수 있을 것이다.

저가항공사 선택속성 IPA분석 연구 (Study on Choice Attributes for Low-Cost Carriers Using IPA)

  • Air travel demand has recently been growing and establishment and operation of low-cost carriers have been increased. Against this backdrop, low-cost carriers need to figure out diversified customer demand for low-cost carriers and ways to maximize marketing efficiency before applying it to the field so that they can attain superiority to large carriers in increased intensified competition. Low-cost carriers need to be differentiated from other carriers for the purpose of improving profits. Toward this end, this study conducted analysis on importance and satisfaction with carrier choice using IPA with regard to low-cost carrier customers. In conclusion, the paper accurately examined advantages and disadvantages of low-cost carriers compared to general carriers based on results of IPA analysis and suggested managerial strategies to enhance competitiveness based on division into four parts including maintenance and enforcement (1st quadrant, Delay compensation, Booking rapidity, Check rapidity, Crew service, refund service, baggage service, punctuality, transit services, airlines images), concentrated improvement (2nd quadrant, price, Convenience of seat), passive administration (3rd quadrant, Boarding service, cabin cleanliness, flight schedule, whether local crew on board, meal service, in-flight entertainment service), and enhanced satisfaction (4th quadrant, duty-free service, Variety of routes), so that practical suggestions could be presented to employees working in the field.

  • A role of cost modeler is that of facilitating design process by the systematic application of cost factors so as to maintain sensible and economic relationships between cost, quantity, utility and appearance. These relationships help to achieve the client's requirements within an agreed budget. The purpose of this study is to develop a parametric cost estimating model for the early design stage by using the multi-dimensional system of OLAP (On-line Analytical Processing) based on the case of quantity data related to architectural design features. The parametric cost estimating models have been adopted to support decision making in the early design stage. These models typically use a similar instance or a pattern of historical case. In order to effectively use this type of data model, it is required to set data classification and prediction methods. One of the methods is to find the similar class in line with attribute selection measure in the multi-dimensional data model. Therefore, this research is to analyze the relevance attribute influenced by architectural design features with the subject of case-based quantity data used for the parametric cost estimating model. The relevance attributes can be analyzed by Analytical Characterization. It helps determine what attributes to be included in the OLAP multi-dimension.
