라이프스타일 유형과 자기표현욕구가 비건화장품 구매의도에미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 사회적가치의 매개효과 중심으로 (A Study on the Effects of Lifestyle and Self-Expression Desire on Vegan Cosmetics Purchase Intention: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Social Value)

  • 최근 기초화장품 트렌드로 클린화장품, 비건화장품 등이 새롭게 다양한 출시가 이루어지고 있으며 시장 내 성장하고 있다. 한동안 화장품의 성분에 대한 관심과 영향이 커지면서 기능성화장품, 코스메슈티컬화장품, 더마화장품이 신뢰를 얻고 인기가 있던 가운데, 효능 외의 요소를 소구하는 비건 브랜드와 제품에 대한 관심이 커지고 있는 중이다. 이러한 변화에 있어 소비자의 라이프스타일과 사회적가치의 영향관계가 영향이 있을 것으로 보이는데 이를 분석하고, ESG가 강조되는 사회 분위기 속에 클린 또는 비건화장품의 소비가 일종의 자기표현의 욕구를 충족시켜주는 역할로써의 관계가 있을지 알아볼 필요가 있겠다. 본 연구는 화장품 소비자를 대상으로 라이프스타일 유형과 자기표현욕구가 사회적가치를 매개하여 비건화장품 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관하여 분석하였다. 라이프스타일 유형을 외모지향형, 건강지향형, 유행추구형으로 구분하였다. 전국에 거주하는 화장품 소비자로부터 수집한 설문지 321부를 실증분석에 사용하였다. SPSS v26.0과 PROCESS macro v4.2를 사용하여 매개변수가 하나인 단일매개모형을 기반으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 외모지향형을 제외한 라이프스타일 유형인 건강지향형 및 유행추구형과 자기표현욕구는 사회적가치에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적가치는 비건화장품 구매의도에 정(+)의 방향으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 외모지향형, 건강지향형 및 유행추구형의 모든 라이프스타일 유형과 자기표현욕구는 비건화장품 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사회적가치는 외모지향형을 제외한 라이프스타일 유형 및 자기표현욕구와 구매의도 간을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 외모지향 소비자는 사회적가치에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않고 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 외모 지향적인 소비자의 경우 비건화장품 구매 동기가 해당 제품과 관련된 사회적가치에 크게 영향을 받지 않을 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 표준화계수를 이용한 상대적 영향력 크기 비교에서는 사회적가치를 매개할 때 자기표현욕구가 가장 크게 비건화장품 구매의도에 영향을 미치고 건강지향형이 가장 작게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 학문적 함의로는 틈새 소비자 세그먼트, 중재 메커니즘 및 지속 가능성 고려 사항에 대한 통찰력을 제공함으로써 소비자 행동 연구에 기여하고 있고 마케팅 전략과 지속 가능한 비즈니스 관행을 형성하는 화장품 산업 및 그 이상에 대한 추가 연구 방향을 제시하고 있다.

  • The aim of this study is to promote an appropriate consumption culture given the features of the segmented female college student group and to utilize these features as basic data at the level of consumer education. The lifestyle of female college students will be identified, along with the current use and customer satisfaction of low price cosmetics that are aimed at this group. The conclusion will be proposed on the basis of the results of this study: Firstly, low price cosmetics producers need to develop products that satisfy the needs of customers and to establish marketing strategies such as sales promotions according to the current trend. Secondly, in order to establish rational purchasing, it is necessary to promote an appropriate consumption culture by offering consumer education to college students. Thirdly, most consumers equate brands with quality. Therefore, companies need to continually produce quality products that may be differentiated from other low price cosmetics, not only in terms of price but also in terms of product quality, in order to enhance the reliability of their brand. Furthermore, it is necessary for consumers to be able to purchase products by considering product quality through searching for diverse information and not merely by depending on any particular brand.

  • There have been a lot of research going on for developing a new blend of cosmetic ingredients. such as Porous sphere power, High functional composition power, Ultrafine power, UV sunscreen agent, Flat titanium dioxide etc. It's said that these ingredients will have multi functional effects on foundation users. Regarding foundation products. UV care effect is basic and consumers want special feelings for skin and its'transparency. People also look for a high performance foundation which helps skin stay shineless and flawless with a longlasting beautiful finish. A lot of cosmetics are produced in small quantities resulting in a greater variety depending on consumers'ages, hobbies, trends, season and environment, so more specific cosmetics should be developed. To satisfy more specific clientele, It is expected that special care product will come out. Foundations for the elderly and men are already being considered as well as ones for trans-genders are possibility. It's considered that fecundation is not a makeup but something in skin-care categories based on the development and production of high performonce foundations.

국내 소비자의 기능성화장품 구매행태 및 선복화 활용 기능성화장품 상품화를 위한 연구 (consumers' purchasing behavior of functional cosmetics and Inula based functional cosmetics merchandising research)

  • 본 연구는 수도권에 거주하는 일반 소비자를 대상으로 기능성화장품 구매행태를 파악하여 선복화 활용 주름 미백개선 신제품 개발 시 경쟁력 확보를 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 소비자는 주름개선 기능성화장품의 종류 중 세럼을 주로 선호했으며, 1~3개월에 한 번 구매하는 비율이 높았다. 용량은 10~30 ml 미만을 주로 선호했고, 구매비용은 3~5만원 미만을 주로 지출하였다. 미백개선 기능성화장품 역시 세럼을 선호했고, 용량은 30~50 ml 미만을 선호했으며, 구매비용은 3~5만원 미만을 주로 지출하였다. 기능성화장품 형태는 단품을 선호했고 선호도가 높은 주요 구매 장소는 '화장품전문점' 이었고, 선호도가 높은 주요 정보원은 '가족 친구 지인의 추천 및 경험담', 'TV 광고' 등 이었다. 선복화 활용 기능성화장품 세럼 개발시 구매의도 4개 항목 모두 제품 비용이 5만원 이상으로 나타났으며, 가격 지불의사에서도 현재 가격에서 추가로 10~30%까지 지불 할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 화장품 관련 기업 및 산업체는 기능성화장품 관련 신제품 개발 시 소비자의 구매시 요구도를 적용하는 방안과 신제품 판매 활성화를 위해 질 높은 서비스를 제공하는 전문화된 장소 확보 및 직접체험, 다양한 대중매체 활용 SNS 블로그를 통한 구전 효과를 높이고, 천연미백 및 주름개선, 보습효과 등이 검증된 선복화를 활용한 제품을 개발하면 건강과 미용에 관심이 많은 소비자들에게 충분히 어필(appeal)할 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다.

인터넷 기사와 Best Item 분석을 통해 살펴본 어린이 화장품 연구 (A Study on Children's Cosmetics Based on Analyzing Internet News and Best Items)

  • The number of children wearing make-up is increasing. "Children's cosmetics" is not a legal term though it is commonly used. The purpose of this study is to analyze discussions on children's cosmetics based on news articles found on the internet. This study also identifies what products are being distributed as children's cosmetics. Keyword searches were conducted using internet portal sites. Information was extracted from news articles and Best Item 100 for children's cosmetics. The results of analyzing news articles and Best Item 100 lists are as follows : 1. There were two main discussion topics in news articles. The first topic was related to marketing(the branding and trends of children's cosmetics). The other topic was about government regulations(side effects, harmful ingredients, control, regulations, attention, proper product usage, product categorization, and the overall safety of children's cosmetics). By 2014, many articles had covered government control and regulation. However, since 2017, news articles have focused on the product categorization and the concern for overall safety has dramatically increased. 2. Three different product categories have appeared in the Best Item 100; they are cosmetics, toys, and other products. In market, consumers recognized children's cosmetics as cosmetics and also as toys. Between 2017 and 2018's Best Item, other products are dramatically down, color cosmetics and single cosmetics are on the rise, and the purchase of domestic products has increased.

  • This study aimed to provide consumer perception and evaluation of natural Cynanchi Atrium Fermented Original Cosmetics for Skin Whitening that can improve skin by using oriental medicinal ingredients. The product was applied three times a day for two weeks by a total of 60 users who agreed to participate in a clinical trial assessing the usability and skin sensitivity to extracts that had already completed component safety testing. This study subjects reported which images were most reminiscent of Korea. They preferred products that bore Korean images because they felt trust and recognized that the quality of the cosmetics was excellent. The responses also showed that many consumers were willing to buy a product, even though it was luxurious, elegant, and expensive. The cognitive evaluation of Original Cosmetics was high and showed that the quality was likely to be good. The usability and CMF(Color, Material, Finishing) evaluation of Original Cosmetics showed good product the product is long-lasting and tightened and moisturized skin naturally. They are think about that this product it has moisturizing effects and good application for use, so it is light and soft to use. And had a whitening effect. It was intended to assist in the development of products that meet consumers' desires and expectations for safe, healthy, and beautiful skin by developing a skin whitening Original Cosmetics prototype that can inhibit the production of melanin and tyrosinase activity safely and effectively.

화장의 사회.심리적 기대효과에 따른 화장이미지와 자의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Makeup Image and Self-Consciousness According to the Level of Expected Socio-Psychological Effect of Makeup)

  • This study was made to investigate the differences in Korean woman's perceived makeup image and self-consciousness according to their expectation level in socio-psychological effect of makeup, and to gather information needed for the better understanding of cosmetics consumers and more effective marketing activities of cosmetics industries. Normative-descriptive survey method using questionnaire was employed for the present study. The survey was conducted in August 2001 and the sample consisted of 942 women between the ages of 18 and 50 residing in Seoul and Kyungi province. Data were analyzed by SPSS package. Factor analysis, ANOVA, and MANOVA were employed for the analysis of the data. The results are as follows : (1) Six factors emerged from the data related to the category of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. Those factors were named as "increasing positiveness", "refreshment", "covering weakness", "self-expression", "consideration for others", and "the tool for self-change". Four factors were found in the category of makeup image, and the factors were named as "refinement", "nobility", "favorable impression ", and "personality ". (2) There was a tendency that those who highly expect the socio-psychological effect of makeup have more positive self-image. Considering this differences in self-image according to the level of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. service activities for the consumers' positive opinion and attitude to the effect of makeup are needed, and it seems that those service activities will have a good influence on the consumers' emotional health. (3) Subjects with higher level of social anxiety showed higher expectations in refreshment, covering weakness and self-expression. Considering this trend, marketers have to make an constant effort for the variety of cosmetics and makeup manner by which consumers satisfy their expectation in makeup. It seems that the satisfaction of their expectation on the help of makeup effect will contribute to lessen social anxiety, and to get emotional stability. (4) Subjects with higher personal self-anxiety showed higher expectations of the effect. "increase of positiveness". 소비자의 개인적 특성이 브랜드 구매의사결정에 미치는 영향 연구 - 중국 20-30대 화장품 소비자 라이프스타일 연구를 중심으로 - (Assessing the Perspective of Individual Consumers on Cosmetics Brand Purchasing According to Their Lifestyle of Young Consumers Living in the Metropolitan Areas of China)

  • 본 연구는 세계의 시장으로 주목을 받고 있는 중국의 화장품 시장과 소비자를 이해하기위해 중국 대도시의 화장품 브랜드 소비자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 라이프스타일 유형에 따른 화장푸 브랜드 구매행동을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유행 추구형, 사교 추구형, 전통 보수 추구형, 성취 추구형, 소극적 침체형, 등 5개의 라이프스타일 유형을 도출해 내었다. 이들 군집은 화장품 브랜드 구매동기, 구매시 고려사항, 사용만족, 인구통계적 특성에서 군집간 차이점을 보이고 있었다. 예를 들어 유행 추구형 집단은 가격을 고려해서 구매하는 경향이 강했으나 사교 추구형 집단은 주위사람들의 조언에 의해 제품을 구매하는 경우가 많았다. 전통 보수 추구형 집단은 소득이 높은 소비자들로 본인사용경험에 의해서 화장품을 많이 구매하였으나 성취 추구형 집단은 제품의 기능에 의해 좌우되는 것으로 나타났다.

중국 소비자들의 한국화장품에 대한 광고모델과 자아이미지와의 일치성, 광고소구, 제품관여도가 광고태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Chinese Consumers' Self-image Congruence, Advertising Appeal, and Involvement on Advertising Attitude towards Korean Cosmetics)

  • This study was undertaken to observe the influence of the model image and self-image congruence of consumers in Korean cosmetic advertisements on the advertising attitude and analyze the relationship between self-image congruence and advertising demand type, participation, and advertising effect, and to help develop plans to more effectively communicate advertising images. The experimental design of this study was 2 (self-image congruence: consistency vs. inconsistency) × 2 (advertising appeal: rational appeal vs. emotional appeal) × 2 (involvement: high vs. low) three-way ANOVA. The results of the study showed that the interrelationship between self-image congruence and advertising appeal type and involvement played an important role in determining the advertising attitude. More specifically, firstly, the self-image congruence of consumers in Korean cosmetic advertising affected the advertising attitude. Secondly, in the advertisements of Korean cosmetics, consumers preferred a rational advertising appeal to an emotional advertising appeal. Finally, statistical results showed significant differences in the influence of the interaction effect of the self-image congruence status of consumers and the advertising appeal on the attitude of advertising. The Korean cosmetic involvement of consumers had a significant impact on whether the Korean cosmetic advertising model image and consumer self-image were consistent with the type of advertising appeal and on the interaction effect of advertising attitude.

화장품 구매시 소비자의 자아이미지와 광고이미지의 일치감이 광고태도 및 브랜드태도에 미치는 영향 -화장품 광고의 제품유형과 메시지유형 조절효과를 중심으로- (The Congruence between the Self-Image and Advertising Image of Consumers on Advertising Attitude and Brand Attitude -The Moderating Roles of Product Type and Message Type on Cosmetics Advertising-)

  • Consumers focus on information about the symbolic meaning of a product for highly involved and emotional products (such as cosmetic products). This study examines the effectiveness of the congruence between cosmetics advertising image and self-image on consumer attitudes. In addition, this study examines two additional moderating effects, which are 'product type' and 'message type'. For the experiment, four advertizing type factorial designs were performed. A total of 320 undergraduate female students in Korea participated in the experiment. This study captured the subjective judgments of consumers on these three comparisons in terms of advertizing attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention. The results are as follows: First, the greater the self-congruity on cosmetic advertising, then the greater the effectiveness on advertizing attitude. Second, the increased self-congruity on cosmetic advertising did not create greater effectiveness on brand attitude. Third, increased advertizing attitudes on the congruence between cosmetics advertising image and self-image increased the effectiveness on brand attitude. Fourth, increased advertizing attitudes on the congruence between cosmetics advertising image and self-image improved the effectiveness on purchase intention. Fifth, the greater the brand attitude (on the congruence between the cosmetics advertising image and the self-image produced)increased the effectiveness for purchase intention. The results show a significant moderating role of the product type. Marketers can use the results of this study to understand the market of cosmetic products for promotion.
