철기류의 부식도 비교시험

  • The purpose of this paper is to select the suitable resin as changed in environmental and ingredients, in the conservation of metallic objects. Disposal way of metallic objects were used to various resin and grease which will must be well selected in the nature of relics. The contents of this report are summed up as follows ; The resins of Incralac, Ruscoat, wash primer, Amerlock-400 wrer coated on the slice of ironware (5% saltspray test on the view of nature & Adherence). After the coating, add increasing speed to a corrosion rate, and then the adherence of resins were tested. In this study corrosion test, 0.10-0.25% Amerlock-400 jis proved to be a rare one of corrosion rate and 1.0-2.5% Wash primer is found to be a plenty one of corrosion area.

  • Test results to evaluate the mechanical properties of epoxy-coated bars and corrosion protection characteristics of epoxy coating on the bars are described. The results show good adhesion and abrasion resistance satisfying the requirements in relevant standards. The test results also show that for a coating thickness ranging from 150${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 300${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, satisfactory results are obtained regarding bendability. Cautions shall be required when bending epoxy-coated bars at a high bending degree and at a low temperature. The results of accelerated corrosion tests show good corrosion resistance. However, surface defects from the steel itself and insufficient blast-clean process form weak points resulting blistering or disbonding of the coating. The use of epoxy-coated bars is expected to help protect corrosion of reinforcement and extend the service life of reinforced concrete structures.

  • When marine lubricating oil began to be emulsified and oxidized through ingressive water that have leaked from cooling pump seal systems, cooler, purifier system and piping system, the cavitation erosion-corrosion in alloy metals of bearings remains to the various troublesome problem at effective engine performance. Therefore, applied the cathodic protection to the control test of cavitation erosion-corrosion, and appointed the marine system oil containing 3% sea water as test environments, with different conductibility. Also, used the piezoelectric vibrator with 20 KHz, 24 $\mu$m as the cavity generation apparatus, and examined the weight loss, potential value, current density etc. in specimens with those condition. According to this testing data, investigated influence of cathodic protection on the control characteristics of cavitation erosion-corrosion, and will serve those as an elementary design data of marine bearing.

  • Corrosion is very serious problem in RC structure under ocean environment. There is no enough experiment information using the reinforced geo polymer concrete applied by electo chemical protection system. Three condition, such as tidal zone, submerged zone and crack were simulated to geo polymer specimen. Corrosion rate and natural electrode potential were measured through accelerated test. Anti corrosion property of geo polymer was better than OPC regardless of specimen condition and applied time.

  • For mechanical drive steam turbines, the investigation results of corrosion fatigue phenomena in the transient zone are introduced, including basic phenomena on expansion line and actual design and damage experience. These results were analyzed from the standpoint of stress intensity during the start of cracking. In order to resolve such problems, preventive coating and blade design methods against fouling and corrosive environments are developed. Detailed evaluation test results are given for coating performance using a unique test procedure simulating fouling phenomena and washing conditions. Finally, the results of the successful modification of internals and on-line washing results on site are introduced.

치과주조용 Ti-20%Zr(-5%Cr)합금의 양극분극특성 (Anodic Polarization Characteristics in Ti-20%Zr(-5%Cr) Alloys for Dental Castings)

  • Ti-20%Zr(-5%Cr) alloys not containing harmful Al and V were newly designed in order to reveal their possibility for dental casting and melted in an arc melting and casting furnace under Ar atmosphere. The corrosion resistance was studied by anodic polarization test. From the observation of anodic polarization behavior, it was found that the corrosion resistance was markedly increased by the addition of Cr. The corrosion resistance of Ti-20%Zr-5%Cr alloy was superior to that in Ti-6%Al-4%V alloy but almost similar to that in CP Ti using in market place today.

  • In general, structural integrity of rolling stock structures should last more than 25 years. During the lifetime corrosive degradation occurs. For structural design and diagnosis, quantitative relationship between corrosive degradation and variation of mechanical properties such as tensile strength and fatigue strength is needed. In this study, first of all we established the atmospheric corrosion test procedure. At regular intervals using specimens of SM490A and SS400 on the atmospheric corrosion test bed, we carried out tensile and fatigue tests. The fatigue strength decreases as the atmospheric corrosion period increases. And we studied the effect of post-weld heat treatment on the tensile and fatigue behaviour.

  • Recently, the degradation of reinforced concrete structures due to physical and chemical attack has been a major issue in construction engineering. One of the main causes of degradation of concrete structures can be ascribed to chloride-induced corrosion, i.e., the rapid penetration of chloride ions into concrete. To estimate durability of reinforced concrete structures exposed to marine environment, many different kinds of accelerated tests to evaluate the concrete diffusivity were proposed. In this study, present test methods are reviewed and a proper test method for concrete is selected. The diffusion coefficients of concrete with corrosion inhibitor are measured using the proposed method, and then, measured values are compared to those of concrete without corrosion inhibitor. It is found from experimental results that diffusion coefficient re decreased with curing ages.

  • The plane bending corrosion fatigue test was performed on the welded zone between SM58 steel plate and SM41 steel plate jointed with submerged arc welding in the air and in the natural sea water with various conditions. The main results obtained from the test are summarized as follows: 1) The welded zone of the steel plates has the lowest impact strength and the highest electrode potential, but the hardness was mediate of SM58 base and SM41 base. 2) The cathodic protection of the welded zone was also effective for the plane bending corrosion fatigue, and the optimum protection potential of the welded zone was -1,000 mV SCE. 3) The corrosion fatigue strength under the various stress conditions of the steel plate could be estimated and also the require safety factors on the design could be obtained from the plane bending fatigue limit diagram.

  • Corrosion and tensile properties of zircaloy-4 cladding tube having a laser welding part in elevated temperature are studied to present the criterion of quality evaluation in nuclear reactor and to found the scientific basis of SCC, with laser welding method using by coupling up cladding tube to end cap. In the result of tensile test($400^{\circ}C$), the fracture is not happened in the welding part but base metal and the result of corrosion test($400^{\circ}C$ 1500psi steam), corrosion rate of the molten zone and PMZ is a little higher than the other zone.
