시계열 분석을 이용한 정상인의 보행 가속도 신호의 모델링 (Modeling of Normal Gait Acceleration Signal Using a Time Series Analysis Method)

  • In this paper, we analyzed normal gait acceleration signal by time series analysis methods. Accelerations were measured during walking using a biaxial accelerometer. Acceleration data were acquired from normal subjects(23 men and one woman) walking on a level corridor of 20m in length with three different walking speeds. Acceleration signals were measured at a sampling frequency of 60Hz from a biaxial accelerometer mounted between L3 and L4 intervertebral area. Each step signal was analyzed using Box-Jenkins method. Most of the differenced normal step signals were modeled to AR(3) and the model didn't show difference for model's orders and coefficients with walking speed. But, tile model showed difference with acceleration signal direction - vertical and lateral. The above results suggested the proposed model could be applied to unit analysis.

  • This paper aims to analyze architectural planning factors that could contribute to reductions in electricity consumption in the household of apartments, to apply energy saving methods at the design phase. These six architectural planning factors were orientation, building type (flat, tower block), standard floor access type (corridor access type, stair case type, EV hall access type), household location (floor), household opening type (one side opening, right angle opening, two sides opening or three sides opening), and bay on the facade (one bay, two bays, three bays, four bays), and these were derived from literature review. Household electricity consumption data were gathered from 2168 households with a total area of 135~150$m^2$ of 6 apartment complexes over 1000 households in Seoul. The annual characteristics of electricity consumption according to architectural planning factors were analyzed. And, variances between groups with respect to the mean of summer, winter, and annual electricity consumption according to each architectural planning factors were analyzed using ANOVA and t-test. The results showed that an annual electric energy saving of over 1000kWh was facilitated by these planning factors. In addition, high energy efficiency architectural planning factors based on the analysis were as follows: southwest orientation, flat type, corridor access type and staircase type, household loation below the 20th floor, two sides opening and three sides opening, and 2 bays and 3 bays.

현대 종합병원 공용공간구성의 사용자중심적 실내디자인 특성 연구 - 해외사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Characteristics of User-Focused Interior Design in Common Space Composition of Contemporary General Hospitals - Focused on Overseas Case -)

  • As patients prefer large scale hospitals recently, the interior design of general hospitals are conspicuously improving. In the past, most patients visit hospitals to get treatment on diseases; however, recently patients visiting hospitals for the early prevention of disease is rapidly increasing. Accordingly, contemporary hospitals should meet the wish of patients who want to get medical service in more clean and comfortable environment. The existing studies on hospital interior design were mostly limited on analyzing the functionality of each space; however, studies on the interior design of common use space, which is open to all hospital users, are required now. Accordingly, this study classified the common use space in contemporary general hospitals into lobby space, corridor space, waiting space and resting space. The interior design characteristics of each space were classified into; connectivity with external environment, level change by void, introduction of natural elements, dynamics of space and variety of color. Then a case analysis was done by selecting 12 common use spaces in overseas general hospitals. According to the analysis result, the interior design characteristics were more conspicuous in the sequence of corridor space, lobby space, resting space and waiting space. The interior design elements such as overall space arrangement and material-finishing were relatively acceptable; however, the aspect of a user's environmental behavior, in other words, the psychological aspect, which can lead a patient to natural healing, was relatively insufficient. It is believed that an in-depth interior design focusing on practical users would enable various spatial behaviors. It is hoped that this study would be a help to the interior design of domestic general hospitals as a guideline.

공간구문론을 이용한 SANAA 작품의 비위계적 공간구성 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Non-hierachical Arrangement of SANAA's Work by Space Syntax)

  • 본 논문은 알미르 슈타트 극장 이후에 나타나기 시작하는 공간의 비위계적 구성(non-hierachical arrangement)으로 평면계획이 이루어진 SANAA의 작품들을 선정하여 공간구문론(space syntax)에 의한 정량적 분석을 시도하였고, 외형적으로 보여지는 평면구성의 비위계성이 정량적 수치값으로는 어떻게 나타나는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 외형상 보여지는 비위계적 평면구성을 보이는 SANAA의 각 공간들은 정량적 수치값의 분명한 차이를 보이고 있으며, 외형적으로는 잘 드러나지 않는 공간의 위계 차이가 분명히 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 둘째, 통합도(Integration)값이 높은 공간들은 연결도(Connectivity)값도 대부분 함께 높음을 알 수 있었는데, 비위계적 평면구성의 위계성을 부여하는 방법으로 공간의 출입구 개수를 늘리거나, 실의 크기와 위치조정을 통해 숨겨진 위계성을 부여하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, SANAA는 그리드 형태의 평면구성에서 내부 복도 대신에 외곽부 복도를 이용하여 접근성 문제의 해결을 시도하고 있으며, 방과 방 사이의 오픈 코트 공간은 자연채광과 환기를 제공함과 동시에 공간의 숨겨진 위계성을 조절하는 장치로 채택되고 있음을 알 수 있다.

병목현상 시 유동률에 대한 피난실험 및 모델링 비교 (Comparison of Egress Modeling and Experiments for Flow Rate in the Bottleneck)

  • 병목현상은 많은 피난인들이 출구나 복도를 지나가려하게 되면 생기는 현상이다. 병목현상으로 인해 시간의 지연이 생기게 되며, 이는 건물 화재 시의 피난 예측에서 매우 중요한 요소가 된다. 피난시간 분석에서 병목현상은 유동률이라는 요소로 반영된다. 이는 시간당 단위 폭 당 통과되는 사람의 수를 나타낸다. 피난모델링에서 계산되는 유동률은 피난실험의 결과에 근접해야하며, 이에 대한 확인은 필수적인 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 유동률에 대한 피난실험의 결과와 피난모델 Pathfinder의 적용결과를 비교하여 보았다. 그 결과 피난실험과 모델링의 결과 값은 차이를 보여주고 있다. 실험의 평균값은 $4.25N/m{\cdot}s$이고 시뮬레이션의 최대 값은 $1.55N/m{\cdot}s$로 나타났다.

미국 동부 연안 I-95, I-85회랑지대의 지식 기반 서비스업 고용 변화에 대한 연구 (Change of Knowledge Intensive Service Sectors' Employment in Two Highway Corridors on the U.S. East Coast)

  • 본 연구는 미국 동부 지역의 두 고속도로 회랑지대, I-95와 I-85 일대의 지식 기반 서비스업의 고용변화를 확장된 shift-share 분석을 통해 살펴보고 있다. 지식 기반 서비스업으로 선정된 산업은 금융, 보험, 비즈니스 서비스와 의료 산업이며 1977년부터 1990년, 1990년부터 2005년까지의 기간 동안의 대도시 지역이 연구 대상이다. 1977년부터 1990년 사이에는 생산량과 노동 생산성 측면에서 두 지역 모두 주변 지역 및 국가 전체 평균보다 월등한 성장세를 보였다. 그러나 1990년에서 2005년 사이에는 산업별 차이가 있었지만 평균에 미치지 못하는 성장 속도를 보이는 경우가 많이 나타났다. 또한 지리적으로 인접해 있거나 동일한 회랑지대에 위치한 대도시들도 유사한 고용 변화 패턴을 보이지는 않는다는 것이 밝혀졌다.

도시부 주행 차로수 일치에 따른 효과 분석 - 국도32호선 대전광역시 통과구간 대상 - (Effectiveness Analysis of Lane Balancing in Urban Areas)

  • 우리나라 대부분의 도시는 지속적인 개발에 따라 교통 수요가 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 도로용량 증대를 위한 도로 확장 등이 이루어지고 있으나 동일 교통 특성을 지니는 구간 내에서 일부 구간만의 확장으로 전체적인 주행 차로 수 균형이 유지되고 있지 않아 차량 소통 및 교통안전 측면에서 문제가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국도 32호선 대전광역시 통과 구간 중 직진 주행 차로 수가 일치하지 않는 구간을 중심으로 차로 수 불일치에 따른 문제점을 분석하고 차로 수를 일치하였을 경우의 효과에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 방법으로는 마이크로 시뮬레이션인 VISSIM을 활용하였으며 개선 전후의 평균 통행속도, 지체도, 상충 수 등을 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 주행 차로 수 일치에 따라 지체도가 감소하고 평균 통행속도가 증가하였다. 본 연구결과는 주행 차로 수 일치의 중요성을 부각시켜 향후 도로확장 등 개선 공사 시행에서 병목현상 개선 및 차량 상충 감소에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

아동 교육 공간의 바이오필릭 디자인 패턴 적용 분석 (A Study on the Application of Biophilic Design Pattern in Educational space)

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the planning direction of educational spaces to support children's healthy and creative learning based on bio_philic theory. This study analyzed the characteristics of the application of biophilic patterns in children's education space through case analysis. The conclusion of this study is summarized as follows. As a result of the analysis of children's classroom space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but the pattern of 'C(Non-Rhythmic Sensory Stimuli), G(Connection with Natural Systems), I(Material Connection with Nature)' shows low application rate. In particular, there is a lack of connection with patterns such as hearing, smell, touch, taste stimulation and water experience, and curiosity through exploration of nature about 'B(Non-visual connection with nature), E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' changes in nature and ecosystem. In the corridor and rest space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), D(Thermal & Airflow Variability), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), G(Connection with Natural Systems), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but 'B(Non-visual connection with nature)' shows low application rate. In addition, the application of patterns related to the stimulation of curiosity through direct exploration of nature and the exploration of the patterns of 'E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' is insufficient. Therefore, in the case of classroom spaces, the active use of nature as it is should be considered within the scope that does not cause visual confusion, and it should provide an area that can be experienced through the five senses. And corridors and rest spaces should be designed to introduce more active natural elements as spaces to recover stress caused by learning. In other words, the characteristics of children's education facilities need to be connected between classroom space, corridor, rest space and external space. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes and derives the application characteristics of 'biophilic design' which affects the 'Attention Restoration' of children's educational spaces through foreign cases.

의료시설 내 건축공간구성을 통한 치유환경 조성에 관한 연구 - 소우 후지모토 의료시설 사례들의 공간분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the Healing Environment with Architectural Spatial Composition in Healthcare Facilities - Focused on the Space Analysis of Sou Fujimoto's Healthcare Projects)

  • Purpose: The analysis of spatial composition is required for the creation of healing environment in healthcare facilities. This study has been accomplished to provide basic data for the planning and design of hospital architecture. Methods: Literature review of healing environment and investigation on characteristics of spatial composition in healthcare facilities have been conducted. The architectural plans of four Sou Fujimoto's healthcare projects have been analyzed with space syntax. Results: The result of this research can be summarized as followed. First of all, the healing environments are consisted with architectural composition in addition to physical and psychological factors for healing environment. The second one is that the characteristics of spatial composition in Sou Fujimoto's healthcare projects are different private/public/corridor relationships in program configuration, loop or one direction circulation, combined or independent corridor with program, and radical or linear connection in spatial connection methods. The third one is that the characteristics of spatial composition in selected cases through space syntax are high variation on integration, low variation on connectivity, and high distribution in main circulation on ERAM(3). Implications: In addition to the specific spatial composition in healthcare facilities of the architect's project, it is necessary to analyze the relationship with other factors and facilities to develop the planning of hospital architecture.

Analysis of offshore pipeline laid on 3D seabed configuration by Abaqus

  • Three dimensional (3D) non-linear finite element analysis of offshore pipeline is investigated in this work with the help of general purpose software Abaqus. The general algorithm for the finite element approach is introduced. The 3D seabed mesh, limited to a corridor along the pipeline, is extracted from survey data via Fledermous software. Moreover soil bearing capacity and coefficient of frictions, obtained from the field survey report, and are introduced into the finite element model through the interaction module. For a case of study, a 32inch pipeline with API 5L X65 material grade subjected to high pressure and high temperature loading is investigated in more details.
