4대강 주요지점에서의 조류 발생인자의 배타적 상관성분석에 대한 연구 (Exclusive correlation analysis for algae and environmental factors in weirs of four major rivers in South Korea)

  • 남조류의 대번성은 특정 생물종의 감소와 물고기의 서식처를 감소하게 하는 결과를 가져와서 생태계에 상당한 교란을 가져오고 4대강의 수질을 위협하고 있다. 조류의 대번성에 영향을 미치는 인자를 해석하기 위해서 전통적으로 클로르필 a의 농도와 환경인자간의 교차상관함수를 계산하는 방식이 수행되어왔다. 교차상관함수에 사용되는 원 시계열 자료는 추계구조에 의해 영향을 받기 때문에 시계열 데이터의 추계학적인 구조를 파악하고 외부의 영향을 제거하는 선백색화 기법을 도입하였다. 이와 같은 모의과정은 모형구조의 파악, 매개변수추정, 선택된 모형의 자가진단수행등의 일련의 과정으로 진행된다. 선백색화 처리된 데이터를 이용하여 배타적 상관분석을 실시하였고 원데이터의 결과와 비교하였다. 이와 같은 과정은 조류농도 발생의 영향 인자를 구분하기 위해서도 유용한 과정이고 다른 환경인자들 사이에서의 인과성을 규명하는데도 유용하다.

실제증발산 자료의 불확실성 파악에 관한 연구: flux tower, 인공위성 및 재분석자료 (A study on the analyzing of uncertainty for actual evapotranspiration: flux tower, satellite-based and reanalysis based dataset)

  • 본 연구에서는 인공위성 및 재분석 자료인 Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS), Global Land Evaporation Amsterdam Model (GLEAM), MOD16의 실제증발산량 산출물을 활용하여 한국수자원조사기술원(Korea Institute of Hydrological Survey, KIHS)에서 관리하고 있는 청미천(cheongmicheon farmland site, CFK)과 설마천(seolmacheon site, SMK) flux tower에서 검증하였고, Triple collocation (TC) 방법을 활용하여 자료간의 불확실성 및 상관성분석을 수행하였다. 플럭스타워와의 검증 결과에서는 전반적으로 GLEAM>GLDAS>MOD16순으로 좋은 결과를 나타내었으며, 세가지 산출물의 조합(S1: flux tower vs. GLDAS vs. MOD16, S2: flux tower vs. GLDAS vs. GLEAM, S3: flux tower vs. GLEAM vs. MOD16)을 통한 TC 결과에서는 청미천(설마천)에서 GLEAM>GLDAS>MOD16>flux tower (GLDAS>GLEAM>MOD16>flux tower)순으로 좋은 결과를 나타내었다. TC 분석 결과에서 Flux tower의 error variance와 correlation coefficient가 상대적으로 좋은 결과를 나타내지 못하였으므로, 한반도 지역에서 인공위성과 재분석 자료(GLDAS vs. GLEAM vs. MOD16)만을 활용하여 TC를 적용하였다. 그 결과, GLDAS와 GLEAM이 한반도 영역에서 낮은 error variance 와 높은 correlation coefficient를 나타낸 반면, MOD16의 경우, 농지에서 낮은 correlation coefficient과 높은 error variance를 나타내었다.

협력적 추천을 위한 사용자와 항목 모델의 효율적인 통합 방법 ((Efficient Methods for Combining User and Article Models for Collaborative Recommendation))

  • 협력적 추천에서는 일반적으로 사용자 모델과 항목 모델이 사용되어진다. 사용자 모델은 사용자들간의 선호도 상관관계를 학습하고, 추천하고자 하는 항목에 대한 다른 사용자들의 선호도를 기반으로 그 항목을 추천한다. 이와 유사한 방식으로 항목 모델은 항목들간의 선호도 상관관계를 학습하고, 다른 항목들간의 선호도를 기반으로 추천 받는 사용자에게 항목을 추천한다. 본 논문에서는 추천 성능의 향상을 위해서 사용자 모델과 항목 모델간의 다양한 통합 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 통합 방법으로는 순차적, 병렬적 통합 방법, 퍼셉트론 또는 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용한 통합 방법, 퍼지 규칙을 이용한 통합 방법 그리고 BKS를 적용한 방법이다. 본 실험에서는 통합 모델을 위해서 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용하여 사용자와 항목 모델을 각각 학습한다. 다층 퍼셉트론은 최근접 이웃방법이나 연관 규칙을 이용한 방법과 같은 기존의 추천 방법보다 연관된 항목들간의 가중치를 학습할 수 있고, 기호 데이타와 수치 데이타를 쉽게 처리할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 통합된 모델이 어떠한 단일 모델보다도 우수하고, 실험을 통하여 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용한 통합 방법이 다른 통합 방법보다 효율적인 통합 방법임을 보여주고 있다.

통계적 방법을 이용한 부유식 해양 플랜트의 중량 추정용 간이 모델 연구 (A Study on the Simplified Model for the Weight Estimation of Floating Offshore Plant using the Statistical Method)

  • The weight of floating offshore plant, such as an FPSO(Floating, Production, Storage, and Off-loading unit) and an offshore wind turbine, is important for estimating the amount of production material and for determining the production method. Furthermore, the weight is a factor which affects in the building cost and production time of the floating offshore plant. Although the importance of the weight has long been recognized, the weight has been roughly estimated by using the existing design and production data, and designer's experience. To solve this problem, a simplified model for the weight estimation of the floating offshore plant using the statistical method was proposed in this study. To do this, various data for estimating the weight of the floating offshore plant were collected through the literature survey, and then the correlation analysis and the multiple regression analysis were performed to generate the simplified model for the weight estimation. Finally, to examine the applicability of the developed model, it was applied to examples of the weight estimation of an FPSO topsides and an offshore wind turbine. As a result, it was shown that the developed model can be applied the weight estimation process of the floating offshore plant at the early design stage.

Model-based localization and mass-estimation methodology of metallic loose parts

  • A loose part monitoring system is used to detect unexpected loose parts in a reactor coolant system in a nuclear power plant. It is still necessary to develop a new methodology for the localization and mass estimation of loose parts owing to the high estimation error of conventional methods. In addition, model-based diagnostics recently emphasized the importance of a model describing the behavior of a mechanical system or component. The purpose of this study is to propose a new localization and mass-estimation method based on finite element analysis (FEA) and optimization technique. First, an FEA model to simulate the propagation behavior of the bending wave generated by a metal sphere impact is validated by performing an impact test and a corresponding FEA and optimization for a downsized steam-generator structure. Second, a novel methodology based on FEA and optimization technique was proposed to estimate the impact location and mass of a loose part at the same time. The usefulness of the methodology was then validated through a series of FEAs and some blind tests. A new feature vector, the cross-correlation function, was also proposed to predict the impact location and mass of a loose part, and its usefulness was then validated. It is expected that the proposed methodology can be utilized in model-based diagnostics for the estimation of impact parameters such as the mass, velocity, and impact location of a loose part. In addition, the FEA-based model can be used to optimize the sensor position to improve the collected data quality in the site of nuclear power plants.

도시근린공원의 적정조도모형 (Model on the Suitable Illuminance at Urban Neighborhood Park)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park. To this end, 1 dependent variable and 11 independent variables were set, and multiple regression analysis was applied to find correlation between variables and the model. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Among 11 independent variables abstracted to study suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park, as a result of analysis on correlation between suitable illuminance of a dependent variable and activity space by using dummy variables, activity type and illuminance by spaces the suitable illuminance required for an urban neighborhood park was much influenced by activity type, and the fact that the activity was not limited to a specific space. 2) As a result of multiple regression analysis, independent variables influencing the suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park were activity space, illuminance by spaces, seated activity, standing activity, and sporting activity. And, for relative contribution of independent variables to suitable illuminance, activity with sporting showed an importance 22 times higher than seated activity. When the central square(Sp_1) of activity spaces was set to reference category using dummy variables, it showed a contribution 52 times higher than sorting space(Sp_7) and the central square as the most important variable. 3) It was analyzed that suitable illuminance of an urban neighborhood part was most influenced by sporting activity but the relative contribution of a sporting space where activity with sporting occurs was least in view of the function of the space. Very high illuminance is required to accept high activity, and if illuminance at a certain space becomes too high, it may influence the illuminance of other spaces, and may consequently have a negative effect on the suitable illuminance of an urban neighborhood park. The results of this study were mainly for teenagers and young adults in their twenties, so further concrete studies which consider gender and a wider age range are needed in the future. Based on subsequent study, suitable illuminance by spaces shall be suggested.

有限要素法을 이용한 海水流動解析 (II) (Analysis of Tidal Flow using the Frequency Domain Finite Element Method (II))

  • The TIDE, finite element model for the simulation of tidal flow in shallow sea was tested for its applicability at the Saemangeum area. Several pre and post processors were developed to facilitate handling of the complicated and large amount of input and output data for the model developed. Also an operation scheme to run the model and the processors were established. As a result of calibration test using the observed data collected at 9 points within the region, linearlized friction coefficients were adjusted to be ranged 0.0027~0.0072, and water depths below the mean sea level at every nodes were changed to be increased generally by 1 meter. Comparisons of tidal velocities between the observed and the simulated for the 5 stations were made and obtained the result that the average relative error between simulated and observed tidal velocities was 11% for the maximum velocities and 22% for the minimum, and the absolute errors were less than 0.2m/sec. Also it was found that the average R.M.S. error between the velocities of observed and simulated was 0.119 m/sec and the average correlation coefficient was 0.70 showing close agreement. Another comparison test was done to show the result that R.M.S. error between the simulated and the observed tidal elevations at the 4 stations was 0.476m in average and the correlation coefficients were ranged 0.96~0.99. Though the simulated tidal circulation pattern in the region was well agreed with the observed, the simulated tidal velocities and elevations for specific points showed some errors with the observed. It was thought that the errors mainly due to the characteristics of TIDE Model which was developed to solve only with the linearized scheme. Finally it was concluded that, to improve the simulation results by the model, a new attempt to develop a fully nonlinear model as well as further calibration and the more reasonable generation of finite element grid would be needed.

ROMS-NPZD 접합모델을 이용한 한반도 주변해역의 표층 영양염 및 클로로필의 계절변동성 (Application of ROMS-NPZD Coupled Model for Seasonal Variability of Nutrient and Chlorophyll at Surface Layer in the Northwestern Pacific)

  • Recently, there has been a growing interest in physical-biological ocean-modeling systems by communities in the fields of science and business. In this paper, we present preliminary results from a coupled physical-biological model for the Northwestern Pacific marginal seas. The ocean circulation component is an implementation of the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), and the lower trophic level ecosystem component is a Nutrient-Phytoplankton-Zooplankton-Detritus (NPZD) model. The ROMS-NPZD coupled system, with a 25 km resolution, is forced by climatological atmospheric data and predicts the physical variables and concentrations of nitrate, phytoplankton, zooplankton, and detritus. Model results are compared with remote-sensed sea surface temperature and chlorophyll, and with climatological sea surface salinity and nitrate. Our model adequately reproduces the observed spatial distribution and seasonal variability of nitrate and chlorophyll concentrations as well as physical variables, showing a high correlation in the East Sea (ES) and Kuroshio/Oyashio Extension (KOE) region but relatively low correlation in the Yellow Sea (YS) and East China Sea (ECS). Although some deficiencies were found in the biological components, such as the over/underestimation of the intensity of phytoplankton blooms in the ES and KOE/the YS and ECS, our system demonstrates the capability of the model to capture and record dominant seasonal variability in physical-biological processes and this holds out the promise of coming to a better understanding of such processes and making better predictions .

국내 지역별 연평균 및 최악월 강우율 분포 특성 (Regional Characteristics of the Average-Year and the Worst-Month Rain Rate Distribution in Domestic Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 기상청의 10년간의 1분 단위 강수량 측정 데이터를 이용하여 국내 환경에 대한 연평균 강우율 분포 및 강우율 분포와 최악월 강우율 분포의 상관 관계 모델을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 모델을 기존의 ITU(International Telecommunication Union)-R 권고 모델과 비교한 결과, 시간율 0.01 %에 대해서 국내 연평균 강우율의 전국 평균값은 ITU-R 권고 문서의 강우율에 비하여 약 28 % 높게 나타났다. 또한, 연평균 및 최악월 강우율 분포 간의 상관 관계도 본 논문의 모델과 ITU-R 권고 문서의 모델은 상당히 큰 차이를 보였다. 앞으로 국내 무선 통신 시스템 설계에 필수적인 강우 감쇠의 통계적 특성(시간율 분포) 계산을 위해서는 국내 환경에 적합한 강우율 분포 모델을 사용하여야 할 것으로 판단된다.

타원체형 모델 기반의 영상정렬 알고리즘을 이용한 얼굴 텍스쳐 생성 (Facial Texture Generation using an Image Registration Algorithm based on Ellipsoidal Prototype Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴 형태와 유사한 타원체형 모델의 가변적 블록크기를 기반으로 하는 영상정렬 알고리즘을 제안한다. 블록정합 수행 시 좌우 곡률만을 고려한 기존의 실린더형 원형모델 방법은 좌우 영상에 대하여 정확한 정렬을 수행하지만 상하 영상에 대해서는 사람의 두상모양이나 턱 구조의 특징을 반영하지 않았기 때문에 정렬오류가 발생한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘은 타원체형 얼굴 모델의 상하 좌우의 곡률에 따라 가변적인 블록크기를 사용하는 블록정합 알고리즘으로서 영상의 상관관계를 이용하여 정확한 정렬을 할 수 있다. 그리고 정렬된 영상으로부터 얼굴 텍스쳐 영상을 생성하기 위하여 영상 모자익 기법을 사용한다. 이때 중첩된 영역에 따라 선형적인 가중치를 부여하여 영상을 스티칭하고 부분적으로 나타나는 고스트 효과를 제거함으로써 더 실감 있는 텍스쳐를 생성한다.
