The objective of this study was to determine the status of star chart game applications in the Google play store in Korea. The share of game genres in paid and free star charts of game applications was searched. Also, the average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, and average age rating based on the genre of paid and free star charts of game applications, and the average price of paid applications based on genre were analyzed. Hypothesis tests for the differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating according to the genre of game applications were performed. Also, hypothesis tests for the differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating between the paid and free game applications along with the hypothesis test for the differences in price according to the genre of paid game applications were performed. Lastly, hypothesis tests for the correlation between the start chart ranking and number of reviews in association with the correlation between the start chart ranking and reviewer's rating were performed. Statistically significant differences in average reviewer's rating, average number of reviews, average age rating according to the genre of game applications, and between the paid and free game applications were verified. However, the correlation between the start chart ranking and number of reviews in association with the correlation between the start chart ranking and reviewer's rating were not statistically significant.
The purpose of this study was to provide a brassiere size chart for making the well-fitted brassiere. The subjects are 2811 women whose range of age is 12 to 59. These woman were classified into 5 age groups by seniority ; age group 1(12~19), age group 2(20~29), age group 3(30~39), age group 4(40~49), age group 5(50~59). statistical differences of measurements were analyzed among 5 age groups through ANOVA. Correlation between measurements were analyzed by correlation analysis. In addition, new brassiere size chart and production rate tables were proposed in this study. The results of the study were as follows. 1) Most of the body measurements were significantly different among 5 age groups. The height was decreasing by getting older while weight was increasing significantly. The 3 girth measurements(top bust, bust, under bust girth) in breast, bust width, bust depth were apt to increase definitely. The 3 girth measurements had high Correlation coefficients among 3 girth mesurements. Therefore, it is valid to pick out cup size and under bust girth for representative items of size chart. 2) Under bust girth and cup size were chosen as 2 axes of brassiere size chart. From the dual distribution table whose intervals had been determined by KS size chart, 17 sizes, which had more than 2% of appearance, were suggested for brassiere size chart. Through these new size charts, the suggested brassiere sizes covered 82.5% of all subjects. The suggested brassiere size chart would be more helpful than KS size chart in making the well-fitted brassiere.
Purpose: Two-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart is a useful tool for process control when a surrogate variable may be used together with a performance variable. This paper extends the two-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart to a three stage version by decomposing the first stage into the preliminary stage and the main stage. Methods: The expected cost function is derived using Markov-chain approach. The optimal designs are found for numerical examples using a genetic algorithm combined with a pattern search algorithm and compared to those of the two-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart. Sensitivity analysis is performed to see the parameter effects. Results: The proposed design outperforms the optimal design of the two-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart in terms of the expected cost per unit time unless the correlation between the performance and surrogate variables is modest and the shift in process mean is smallish. Conclusion: Three-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart may be a useful alternative to the two-stage ${\bar{X}}$ chart especially when the correlation between the performance and surrogate variables is relatively high and the shift in process mean is on the small side.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose a multivariate CUSUM control chart that can detect the out-of-control state fast while monitoring the cross- and auto- correlated multivariate time series data. Methods: We first build models to estimate the observation data and calculate the corresponding residuals. After then, a multivariate CUSUM chart is applied to monitor the residuals instead of the original raw observation data. Vector Autoregression and Artificial Neural Net are selected for the modelling, and Separated-MCUSUM chart is selected for the monitoring. The suggested methods are tested under a number of experimental settings and the performances are compared with those of other existing methods. Results: We find that Artificial Neural Net is more appropriate than Vector Autoregression for the modelling and show the combination of Separated-MCUSUM with Artificial Neural Net outperforms the other alternatives considered in this paper. Conclusion: The suggested chart has many advantages. It can monitor the complicated multivariate data with cross- and auto- correlation, and detects the out-of-control state fast. Unlike other CUSUM charts finding their control limits by trial and error simulation, the suggested chart saves lots of time and effort by approximating its control limit mathematically. We expect that the suggested chart performs not only effectively but also efficiently for monitoring the process with complicated correlations and frequently-changed parameters.

In this paper a new control chart which accounts for correlation between process subgroups will be proposed. We consider the case where the process fluctuations are autocorrelated by a stationary AR(1) time series and where n($\geq1$) items are sampled from the process at each sampling time. A simulation study is presented and shows that for correlated subgroups, the proposed control chart makes a significant improvement over the traditionally employed X-bar chart which ignores subgroup correlations. Finally, we illustrate the proposed chart by comparing the standardized residuals and X-bar chart on a data set of motor shaft diameters.

The Bootstrap method proposed by Efron is non-parametric method which doesn't depend on the estimation of prior distribution refer to population. A typical statistical process control chart which is generally used is developed under the assumption that observations follow mutually independent and identically distributed within a sample and between samples. However, autocorrelation greatly affect the developed control chart under the assumption that observations are mutually independent. Many researchers showed that the result which was analyzed by using a typical control chart for the observations which has the correlation violated to the independence assumption can not be true. Therefore, we compared the standard method with bootstrap method and then evaluated them for x control chart and EWMA control chart by using bootstrap method which was proposed by Efron in the AR(1) model when the observations have correlation.

There are many researches showing that when a process change has occurred, variable sampling intervals (VSI) control chart is better than the fixed sampling interval (FSI) control chart in terms of reducing the required time to signal. When the process engineers use VSI control procedure, frequent switching between different sampling intervals can be a complicating factor. However, average number of samples to signal (ANSS), which is the amount of required samples to signal, and average time to signal (ATS) do not provide any control statistics about switching performances of VSI charts. In this study, we evaluate numerical switching performances of multivariate VSI EWMA chart including average number of switches to signal (ANSW) and average switching rate (ASWR). In addition, numerical study has been carried out to examine how to improve the performance of considered chart with accumulate-combine approach under several different smoothing constant and sample size. In conclusion, process engineers, who want to manage the correlation coefficients of related quality variables, are recommended to make sample size as large and smoothing constant as small as possible under permission of process conditions.
In a multivariate normal production process Np(µ,Σ), a chart combining three EWMA charts with accumulate-combine method for µ, variance components of Σ, and off-diagonal elements of Σ, into a EWMA (exponentially weighted moving average) chart is considered, which is called a combined EWMA chart. Through simulation work, the proposed combined EWMA chart's numerical performance and properties are examined. The simulation results show that the proposed combined EWMA chart, which is simultaneously monitoring all the process parameters of multivariate normal production process, works effectively in the perspective of means, variances and correlation coefficients. In addition, the combined EWMA chart is extended to VSI chart.
This study aims to investigate the effect of biorhythm to work performance. In order to do this, the data are collected from the manufacturing factory which produce a sportware, and the statistical test are made to testify the relationship between the number of defective items and the biorhythm chart of the workers. The number of defective items which made in the peak day, usual day, and critical day on the worker's biorythm chart are compared with each other, and the statistical test are made to see if there are difference between them, and the correlation analysis are made to see if there is any correlation between the work performance and the biorhythm chart. The result of the statistical test shows that the biorythm of the worker gives an effect to his work performance with a correlation.

Several quality control schemes have been extensively compared using multivariate normal data sets simulated with various correlation structures. They include multiple univariate CUSUM charts, multivariate EWMA charts, multivariate CUSUM charts and Shewhart T$^{3}$ chart. This paper considers a new approach of the multivariate EWMA chart, in which the smoothing matrix has full elements instead of only diagonal elements. Performance of the schemes is measured by avaerage run length (ARL), coefficient of variation of run length (CVRL) and rank in order of signaling of off-target shifts in the process mean vector. The schemes are also compared by noncentrality parameter. The multiple univariate CUSUM charts are generally affected by the correlation structure. The multivariate EWMA charts provide better ARL performance. Especially, the new EWMA chart shows remarkable results in small shifts.
