A Study on the Effect of Members' Perception of Internal Performance Evaluation on Organizational Commitment: Focused on the Case of A Public Corporation (내부성과평가에 대한 구성원 인식이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 연구 : A 공기업사례를 중심으로)

  • For the effective responsiveness toward Management Evaluation System of Public Institutions and continuous development as a public corporation, internal performance management is essential. In this study, the effect of employees' perceptions on the effectiveness and acceptability of the internal performance evaluation system on organizational commitment was tested, and we attempted to find implications for efficient performance management. For this purpose, we obtained valid responses from 208 members of A corporation and the hypotheses were verified through multiple regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, 'performance evaluation effectiveness' and 'performance evaluation acceptability' for internal performance evaluation had positive effects on 'organizational commitment'; however, the effect of 'differential performance compensation' on 'organizational commitment' was not significant. Also, among the control variables, 'age' and 'job group' were found to have a negative (-) effect on 'organizational commitment'. To derive more generalized conclusion, other researches using bigger samples are needed.

  • Traffic volume increases according to highway expansion and industrial development which causes repetitive defect and durability degradation on pavement. The research of quality assurance system used abroad has introduced Korea. Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) has developed a Quality Performance Index (QPI) that quantitatively assesses the level of quality of the final product, and practical applications. Assessment factor on concrete pavement consisted of pavement thickness, compressive strength, IRI and spacing factor. Assessment factor on concrete pavement is determined by empirical evaluation factor from abroad. In this study, analysis of evaluation factors of concrete pavement by using pavement life prediction simulation and measured data were evaluated with consideration of feasibility of the assessment factor. Pavement life, performance and durability are affected by pavement thickness, compressive strength, IRI and spacing factor in assessment factor on concrete pavement, QPI.

  • At satellite communication system for flood forecasting and warning, VSAT system needs to good performance for aquisition of rainfall and water-level data. But, it has difficult for obtaining good performance because of the rainfall attenuation.   • This paper aims to propose a Comprehensive Decision Support Model to evaluate retail companies' financial performance traded on the Vietnam Stock Exchange Market. The financial performance has been examined in terms of the valuations ratios, profitability ratios, growth rates, liquidity ratios, efficiency ratios, and leverage ratios. The data of twelve companies from the first quarter to the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020 were employed. The weights of 18 chosen financial ratios are calculated by using the Standard Deviation method (SD). Grey Relational Analysis technique was applied to obtain the final ranking of each company in each quarter. The results showed that leverage ratios have the most significant impact on the retail companies' financial performance and gives some long-term investment recommendations for stakeholders and indicated that the Taseco Air Services Joint Stock Company (AST), Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG), and Cam Ranh International Airport Services Joint Stock Company (CIA) are three of the top efficient companies. The three of the worst companies are Viglacera Corporation (VGC), Saigon General Service Corporation (SVC), and HocMon Trade Joint Stock Company (HTC). Furthermore, this study suggests that the GRA model could be implemented effectively to ranking companies of other industries in the future research.

The Influence of Innovative Capacity on Regional Economic Performance (지역혁신역량이 지역경제 활성화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to identify the factors that contribute to the regional innovative capacity and to analyze the effects on the regional economic development including newly-established corporation and job creation. The results are as follows. First, as a result of factor analysis, the 14 variables were grouped into 3 factors, i.e. innovative input, infrastructure, and linkage. Second, the panel models were developed using the above factor scores and economic performance variables such as the number of newly-established corporation and employees. As a result, innovative capacity factors positively contributed to the newlyestablished corporation and job creation. The innovative input was the most influential factor determining the regional economic performance, followed by linkage and infrastructure. This study suggests several policy implications for the reinforcement of innovative capacity and regional competitiveness.

  • This study aimed to compare the primary heating energy consumption of regional apartment houses based on the enhanced thermal insulation performance of building envelope standards. The difference of the heating energy consumption based on the enhanced thermal insulation performance of building envelope standards in the southern region, the largest regional difference in primary heating energy consumption, is $10.3kWh/(m^2{\cdot}year)$. The difference of the heating energy consumption based on the enhanced thermal insulation performance of building envelope standards in the central region is $8.0{\sim}8.5kWh/(m^2{\cdot}year)$ and that of the Jeju region is $0.5kWh/(m^2{\cdot}year)$. These energy consumption differences do not result in building energy efficiency ratings changing. The building energy efficiency ratings have the possibility to be changed.

Critical Characteristics Estimation of a Large-Scale HTS Wind Turbine Generator Using a Performance Evaluation System

  • Large-scale High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) wind power generators suffer from high electromagnetic force and high torque due to their high current density and low rotational speed. Therefore, the torque and Lorentz force of HTS wind power generators should be carefully investigated. In this paper, we proposed a Performance Evaluation System (PES) to physically test the structural stability of HTS coils with high torque before fabricating the generator. The PES is composed of the part of a pole-pair of the HTS generator for estimating the characteristic of the HTS coil. The 10 MW HTS generator and PES were analyzed using a 3D finite element method software. The performance of the HTS coil was evaluated by comparing the magnetic field distributions, the output power, and torque values of the 10 MW HTS generator and the PES. The magnetic flux densities, output power, and torque values of the HTS coils in the PES were the same as a pole-pair of the 10 MW HTS generator. Therefore, the PES-based evaluation method proposed in this paper can be used to estimate the critical characteristics of the HTS generator under high magnetic field and high torque before manufacturing the HTS wind turbines. These results will be used effectively to research and manufacture large-scale HTS wind turbine generators.

  • This paper presents a novel "bumpless flip chip package"for cost! performance driven devices. Using the conventional electroplating and etching processes, this package enables the production of fine pitch BGA up to 256 I/O with single layer routing. An array of circuitry down to $25-50{\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ line/space is fabricated to fan-in and fan-out of the bond pads without using bumps or substrate. Various types of joint methods can be applied to connect the fine trace and the bond pad directly. The resin-filled terminal provides excellent compliancy between package and the assembled board. More interestingly, the thin film routing is similar to wafer level packaging whereas the fan-out feature enables high lead count devices to be accommodated in the BGA format. Details of the design concepts and processing technology for this novel package are discussed. Trade offs to meet various cost or performance goals for selected applications are suggested. Finally, the importance of design integration early in the technology development cycle with die-level and system-level design teams is highlighted as critical to an optimal design for performance and cost.
