거리장을 이용한 삼각망의 옵셋팅 (Offsetting of Triangular Net using Distance Fields)

  • A new method which uses distance fields scheme and marching cube algorithm is proposed in order to get an accurate offset model of arbitrary shapes composed of triangular net. In the method, the space bounding the triangular net is divided into smaller cells. For the efficient calculation of distance fields, valid cells which will generate a portion of offset model are selected previously by the suggested detection algorithm. These valid cells are divided again into much smaller voxels which assure required accuracy. At each voxel distance fields are created by calculating the minimum distances between corner points of voxels and triangular net. After generating the whole distance fields, the offset surface were constructed by using the conventional marching cube algorithm together with mesh smoothing scheme. The effectiveness and validity of this new offset method was demonstrated by performing numerical experiments for the various types of triangular net.

  • 연구목적:본 연구는 화재 시 샌드위치패널 구조 창고의 벽 천장접합부 방호를 위한 스프링클러 성능확인 실험을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 현장조사결과를 기반으로 창고의 공간규격과 가연물을 선정하고 벽 코너 및 헤드 직하부에서의 방호실험을 수행하고 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과:벽 코너 화재 시나리오에 대해서 K-80 폐쇄형 스프링클러헤드의 작동으로 샌드위치 패널의 착화 및 접합부 손상이 방지됨을 확인하였다. 결론:샌드위치패널 심재로의 착화 및 연소방지를 통한 화세제어로 이를 가정한 소방대의 소화 및 구조활동을 위한 표준진압대책이 마련되어야 한다.

역세권 제2종 일반주거지역 상업화 확산과 특성 분석 (A Study on the Commercialization Characteristics of 2nd Class Residential District in Inner-city Railway Station Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the commercialization characteristics of 2nd class residential district in innercity railway station area as basic research to protect urban residential area against the pressure of commercialization. Through the research that are based on literature, field survey and urban planning map, it analysed the commercialization characteristic of selected three sites under similar urban condition; to be a nearby subway station and to be a famous commercial street in site, etc. The consequences of this study are summarized as follows; First it finds the commercialized lots in all blocks that adjoin blocks of upper class zoning. Second it is in inverse proportion between the commercialization of lots and the distance from subway station to residential block. Third, the corner lot of a block and the access road directly connected collector road are very important factors to spread commercialization to residential area. Finally, it finds the difference of the commercialization degree of 2nd class residential zone according to arrange main commercial street and the 2nd class residential block; vertical arrangement and horizontal arrangement.

Optimal Ball-end and Fillet-end Mills Selection for 3-Axis Finish Machining of Point-based Surface

  • This paper presents an algorithm of optimal cutting tool selection for machining of the point-based surface that is defined by a set of surface points rather than parametric polynomial surface equations. As the ball-end and fillet-end mills are generally used for finish machining in a 3-axis computer numerical control machine, the algorithm is applicable for both cutters. The optimum tool would be as large as possible in terms of the cutter radius and/or corner radius which maximise (s) the material removal rate (i.e., minimise (s) the machining time), while still being able to machine the entire point-based surface without gouging any surface point. The gouging are two types: local and global. In this paper, the distance between the cutter bottom and surface points is used to check the local gouging whereas the shortest distance between the surface points and cutter axis is effectively used to check the global gouging. The selection procedure begins with a cutter from the tool library, which has the largest cutter radius and/or corner radius, and then adequacy of the point-density is checked to limit the accuracy of the cutter selection for the point-based surface within tolerance prior to the gouge checking. When the entire surface is gouge-free with a chosen cutting tool then the tool becomes the optimum cutting tool for a list of cutters available in the tool library. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated considering two examples.

  • This paper introduces a method that can derive information about the movement of a spreader and skew in order to drive ALS(Automatic Landing System) in the crane used at a harbor. Some methods that use LDL Corner detectors a kind of 2D Laser scanner sensor or Laser distance measuring units to obtain the information in ALS are used presently. But these have some defects in economic efficiency and performance. Therefore, to correct these defects, we propose a method to acquire the information for the movement of a spreader, skew and sway angle using CCD camera image data and Laser distance measuring unit data.

  • It is necessary to distance measurement to detect about obstacles and front vehicles to autonomously navigate. In this paper, we propose an algorithm using stereo vision. It is as follows this algorithm´s procedure. First, It has detected a front vehicle´s common edges from left and right images by image processing. We select number plate of a front vehicle as edges. Then, we estimate distance by triangle measurement method after stereomatching using corner points of the plate´s edges as feature-based points. Experimental results show errors and values compand with experimental ones after set up distance between vehicles in advance.

  • $A^*$ algorithm is a global path generation algorithm, and typically create a path using only the distance information. Therefore along the path, a moving vehicle is usually not be considered by driving characteristics. Deceleration at the corner is one of the driving characteristics of the vehicle. In this paper, considering this characteristic, a new evaluation function based path algorithm is proposed to decrease the number of driving path corner, in order to reduce the driving cost, such as driving time, fuel consumption and so on. Also the potential field method is applied for driving of UGV, which is robust against static and dynamic obstacle environment during following the generated path of the mobile robot under. The driving time and path following test was occurred by experiments based on a pseudo UGV, mobile robot in downscaled UGV's maximum and driving speed in corner. The experiment results were confirmed that the driving time by the proposed algorithm was decreased comparing with the results from $A^*$ algorithm.

Remote Distance Measurement from a Single Image by Automatic Detection and Perspective Correction

  • This paper proposes a novel method for locating objects in real space from a single remote image and measuring actual distances between them by automatic detection and perspective transformation. The dimensions of the real space are known in advance. First, the corner points of the interested region are detected from an image using deep learning. Then, based on the corner points, the region of interest (ROI) is extracted and made proportional to real space by applying warp-perspective transformation. Finally, the objects are detected and mapped to the real-world location. Removing distortion from the image using camera calibration improves the accuracy in most of the cases. The deep learning framework Darknet is used for detection, and necessary modifications are made to integrate perspective transformation, camera calibration, un-distortion, etc. Experiments are performed with two types of cameras, one with barrel and the other with pincushion distortions. The results show that the difference between calculated distances and measured on real space with measurement tapes are very small; approximately 1 cm on an average. Furthermore, automatic corner detection allows the system to be used with any type of camera that has a fixed pose or in motion; using more points significantly enhances the accuracy of real-world mapping even without camera calibration. Perspective transformation also increases the object detection efficiency by making unified sizes of all objects.

특징점 추출 기법에 따른 구조물 동적 변위 측정 성능에 관한 연구 (Comparative Study on Feature Extraction Schemes for Feature-based Structural Displacement Measurement)

  • 본 연구는 특징점 기반 변위 계측 알고리즘에서 환경 변화 및 타겟의 종류에 따라 특징점 검출 성능을 비교 분석하였고, 특징점 검출 알고리즘에 따른 변위 측정정확도를 비교 분석하기 위해 진행되었다. 성능 평가를 위해 3층 전단 구조물을 설계하였으며, FHD(1920×1080)급 카메라를 활용하여 구조물의 변위 응답을 기록하였다. 촬영거리 증가와 조도 변화에 따른 성능분석을 위해 최초 촬영거리를 10m로 설정하여 10m씩 멀어지면서 최대 40m까지 실험을 수행하였으며, 두 가지 조도 환경(450lux와 120lux)을 조성하였다. 구조물에 설치된 인공 타겟과 자연 타겟(볼트연결부 및 슬래브 단면적)을 관심영역으로 설정하여 Shi-Tomasi corner, SURF, BRISK 및 KAZE 특징점 검출 알고리즘으로 특징점을 검출하였다. 특징점 검출 성능분석 결과 Shi-Tomasi corner와 KAZE 알고리즘이 타겟 종류, 조도변화 및 촬영거리 증가에 강건한 것으로 보여줬으며, 두 알고리즘을 활용한 변위 측정정확도도 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 자연 타겟 활용시 변위 측정정확도는 인공 타겟의 경우보다 낮아지는 것을 보여주며, 밝기 대비가 가장 낮은 슬래브 단면적을 타겟으로 활용시 비전센서 운용거리가 20m로 적용 한계성을 보여줬다. 이는 촬영거리 증가에 따라 자연 타겟의 해상도가 저하되어 특징점을 추출에 한계성을 나타냈다.

  • This paper introduces a novel approach that can provide the three dimensional information on the movement of a spreader by using two CCD cameras and a laser distance sensor, which enables an ALS (Automatic Landing System) to be used for yard cranes at a harbor. So far a kind of 2D Laser scanner sensor or laser distance measuring units are used as corner detectors for the geometrical matching between the spreader and a container, which provides only 2D information which is not enough for an accurate and fast ALS system required presently. In addition to this deficiency in performance, the price for the system is too high to be adopted widely for the ALS. Therefore, to overcome these defects, a novel method to acquire the three dimensional information for the movement of a spreader including skew and sway angles is proposed using two CCD cameras and a laser distance sensor. To show the efficiency of proposed algorithm, real experiments are performed to show the accuracy improvement in distance measurement by fusing the sensory information of CCD camera and laser distance sensor.
