  • Shrink fitting which is assembling process to fix stator core on the motor frame is widely used at the mass production line of motors because of cost and productivity. This process produces compressive stress on a stator core, which causes negative effect for example, core and copper losses on motor performance. Magnetic properties of electrical steel are effected by both compressive and tensile and thermal stresses. Electromagnetic field analysis is considered one of the effective process since one can predict motor performance including core loss precisely. This method can consider non linear magnetic property with magnetic saturation which is typical electrical steel behavior. However this method is strongly depended on non linear magnetic data, one may have different calculation result whether considering mechanical stress or not. This study describes magnetic field analysis of a motor considering mechanical stress from shrink fitting. Analysis results are compared with each stress-free and stressed condition.

  • 자속구속형 초전도 사고전류 제한기는 평상시 자기적인 결합에 의해 철심의 히스테리시스 손실이 발생하지 않는 특징이 있다. 그러나 사고시에는 사고전류증가로 인해 고온초전도 소자의 저항발생과 함께 철심의 포화가 발생할 경우 제한기의 사고전류제한 특성을 저하시키는 현상이 발생하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이를 분석하고 억제하기 위한 설계방안을 도출하기 위해 자속구속형 고온초전도 사고전류 제한기의 구성요소인 자속구속 리액터의 히스테리시스 특성을 고려한 사고전류 제한특성을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 제한기의 등가회로와 사고전류 제한실험으로부터 히스테리시스 곡선을 도출하였다. 1, 2차권선의 인덕턴스 비에 따른 히스테리시스 곡선으로부터 인덕턴스비가 증가함에 따라 제한되는 사고전류크기는 증가한 반면 사고시 자속구속형 사고전류제한기의 구성요소인 철심의 포화가 억제됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

제조공정에 따른 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 전자기적 특성변화 (The Effect of the Processing Conditions on the Magnetics Properties of Mn-Zn ferrite)

  • The microstructure and the magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite, which were power loss and saturation magnetic flux density, were investigated as the function of the process before firing. The highest initial permeability and the lowest power loss were attained to the specimen with CaO 400 ppm as a resulted from the highest solubility to SiO$_2$and the creation of liquid phase which improved sintering. The biggest grain size, the highest saturation magnetic flux density and the lowest power loss, which was resulted from that the eddy current loss increased as grain size increased but the hysteresis loss much more decreased and the hysteresis loss strongly influenced on the total power loss rather than the eddy current loss, were obtained to the Mn-Zn ferrite added 2wt% PVA. The power loss was lowest and the saturation magnetic flux density was highest in case of 1 ton/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and the grain size was not influenced.

  • 본 논문에서는 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 정지 시 위치센서 없이 회전자의 초기 위치를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 자기적 포화에 의한 인덕턴스 변화를 이용하여 비교적 간단히 회전자의 초기 위치를 추정한다. 최소의 전압 벡터들을 인가하여 인덕턴스의 차이에 대응한 전류를 측정하여 회전자의 위치와 극성을 정확하게 판별할 수 있다. 제한된 방법은 추가적인 하드웨어가 필요하지 않으며, 전동기 파라미터에 영향을 받지 않고 전압벡터를 최소로 인가하여 측정할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • Electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid EVs (HEV) are designed and manufactured by GM, Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai motors. The propulsion system design process for EV requires integrating subsystem designs into an overall system model to maximize the performance of a given propulsion architecture. Therefore, high-power density and high-torque density are important attributes required for EV applications. To improve torque and power density, propulsion motors are designed for saturation during high-torque operation. The nonlinearity associated with core saturation is modeled by incorporating the cross-coupling inductances, which also behave nonlinearly. Furthermore, in EV environments, the battery is directly connected to the DC link, and the battery changes depending on the state of charge. It will be onerous if as many optimal current commands as different $V_{dc}$ were made. This paper presents the optimal current commands in the various operating condition and the current control technique in EV environments.

알칼리금속/Si(111)표면에서의 구조변화 및 탈착에너지 조사 (The change of alkali-metals/Si(111) surface structure and Investigation of desorption energy)

  • The effects of adsorption and desorption of alkali-metals on Si(111) surface were investigated by using AES and RHEED-system. The adsorption system is a fundamental interest because of its unique electronic properties such as measurement of work function change, adatom-core level shift. It was found that the growth node of K on Si(111) surface was layer by layer growth and the saturation coverage was 2.0ML at room temperature. Superstructure changes on Si(111) surface according to the alkali-metal thickness and substrate temperatures were accurately defined. By applying the isothermal desorption method, the desorption energies of Li/Si(111) and K/Si(111) surfaces was measured. On Li/Si(111) and K/Si(111) surfaces, the desorption energies were 3.07 eV, 2.19 eV respectively.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Type Motor varying with magnetization curve of electrical steel interpolated with several method in the high field region. The data of magnetization curve of electrical steel given by the steel maker is not enough in order to analysis the characteristics by menas of FEM. Especially, the core in the bridge part have a severe saturation because the bridge width is narrow to reduce the flux leakage produced by the permanent magnet. This paper make the three kinds of magnetization curve by extrapolation and then the motor is analyzed by using these magnetization curve. The motor parameters are compared to explain the effects of magnetization curve.

  • This paper propose a method to detect the rotor position of IPMSM(Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor) at standstill without a position sensor. The proposed method is based on current variation caused by the magnetic saturation of stator core as rotor position. By choosing an appropriate voltage vector and applying it to phase winding, it enables the algorithm to discern between a north pole and south pole, and subsequently estimates an absolute position. This method dose not depend on the model of the motor and the motor parameter.

  • This paper proposes an advanced compensating algorithm of the secondary current of CTs. The exiting compensating algorithm for the current transformers calculates magnetic flux using the magnetization curve. In such a case, it is difficult to compensate for distorted secondary current when a remanent flux exists in a core at the beginning of the calculation. To make up for the drawback in the existing compensating algorithm, the algorithm detects the instant of saturation using difference of the secondary current and estimates flux at the instant of the beginning of the first saturation. After that, the algorithm calculates flux and compensates for distorted secondary current.

  • In the distribution networks, it is necessary to develop small and light voltage and current sensor for compact and digitalized switchgears. For this purpose, some researches have been continuing till now, CT(current transformer) and VT(voltage transformer) are one of that research. But conventional CT and VT have some problems, that is, have big size and saturation characteristics because of used to iron core. In this paper, CS(current sensor) and VS(voltage sensor), have some merits measuring of current and voltage magnitude as a alternated conventional equipment, were studied. So, this paper shows the process CS and VS design method, equivalent circuit and output result, respectively. As a result of this test, proposed CS and VS have linearity for the output, no saturation.
