In the fifth generation (5G) era, the radio internet protocol capacity is expected to reach 20 Gb/s per sector, and ultralarge content traffic will travel across a faster wireless/wireline access network and packet core network. Moreover, the massive and mission-critical Internet of Things is the main differentiator of 5G services. These types of real-time and large-bandwidth-consuming services require a radio latency of less than 1 ms and an end-to-end latency of less than a few milliseconds. By distributing 5G core nodes closer to cell sites, the backhaul traffic volume and latency can be significantly reduced by having mobile devices download content immediately from a closer content server. In this paper, we propose a novel solution based on software-defined network and network function virtualization technologies in order to achieve agile management of 5G core network functionalities with a proof-of-concept implementation targeted for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and describe the results of interoperability testing experiences between two core networks.

In this paper, a spectral finite element method for a rectangular sandwich plate with viscoelastic core having the Levy-type boundary conditions has been plated. The sandwich plate consists of two isotropic and elastic face plates with a surfaced-bonded viscoelastic core. For the analysis, the in-plane and transverse energy in the face plates and only shear energy in the core are considered, respectively. To account for the frequency dependent complex shear modulus of the viscoelastic core, the Golla-Hughes-McTavish model is adopted. To evaluate the validity and accuracy of the proposed method, the frequency response function and dynamic responses of the sandwich plate with all edges simply supported subject to an impact load are calculated and compared with those calculated by a finite element method. Though these calculations, it is confirmed that the proposed method is very reliable and efficient one for vibration analysis of a rectangular sandwich plate with viscoelastic core having the Levy-type boundary conditions.
One of the important parts of the in-core fuel management is loading pattern optimization (LPO). The loading pattern optimization as a reasonable design of the in-core fuel management can improve both economic and safe aspects of the nuclear reactor. This work proposes the hybrid of fuzzy logic controller with harmony search algorithm (HS) for loading pattern optimization in a pressurized water reactor. The music improvisation process to find a pleasing harmony is inspiring the harmony search algorithm. In this work, the adjustment of the harmony search algorithm parameters such as the bandwidth and the pitch adjustment rate are increasing performance of the proposed algorithm which is done through a fuzzy logic controller. Hence, membership functions and fuzzy rules are designed to improve the performance of the HS algorithm and achieve optimal results. The objective of the method is finding an optimum core arrangement according to safety and economic aspects such as reduction of power peaking factor (PPF) and increase of effective multiplication factor (Keff). The proposed approach effectiveness has been tried in two cases, Michalewicz's bivariate function problem and NEACRP LWR core. The results show that by using fuzzy harmony search algorithm the value of the fitness function is improved by 15.35%. Finally, with regard to the new solutions proposed in this research it could be used as a trustworthy method for other optimization issues of engineering field.

Third order shear deformation theory is used to evaluate electro-elastic solution of a sandwich plate with considering functionally graded (FG) core and composite face sheets made of piezoelectric layers. The plate is resting on the Pasternak foundation and subjected to normal pressure. Short circuited condition is applied on the top and bottom of piezoelectric layers. The governing differential equations of the system can be derived using Hamilton's principle and Maxwell's equation. The Navier's type solution for a sandwich rectangular thick plate with all edges simply supported is used. The numerical results are presented in terms of varying the parameters of the problem such as two elastic foundation parameters, thickness ratio ($h_p/2h$), and power law index on the dimensionless deflection, critical buckling load, electric potential function, and the natural frequency of sandwich rectangular thick plate. The results show that the dimensionless natural frequency and critical buckling load diminish with an increase in the power law index, and vice versa for dimensionless deflection and electrical potential function, because of the sandwich thick plate with considering FG core becomes more flexible; while these results are reverse for thickness ratio.
Probabilistic buckling behavior of sandwich panel considering random system parameters using a radial basis function (RBF) approach is presented in this paper. The random system properties result in an uncertain response of the sandwich structure. The buckling load of laminated sandwich panel is obtained by employing higher-order-zigzag theory (HOZT) coupled with RBF and probabilistic finite element (FE) model. The in-plane displacement variation of core as well as facesheet is considered to be cubic while transverse displacement is considered to be quadratic within the core and constant in the facesheets. Individual and combined stochasticity in all elemental input parameters (like facesheets thickness, ply-orientation angle, core thickness and properties of material) are considered to know the effect of different degree of stochasticity, ply- orientation angle, boundary conditions, core thickness, number of laminates, and material properties on global response of the structure. In order to achieve the computational efficiency, RBF model is employed as a surrogate to the original finite element model. The stiffness matrix of global response is stored in a single array using skyline technique and simultaneous iteration technique is used to solve the stochastic buckling equations.

In this paper, propagation characteristics of trapezoidal-shaped segmented core single mode fibers is investigated theoretically as a function of relative Index difference ratio( =p) under the condition of zero dispersion at i=1.,isrm, and bending loss of trape zoidalshaped segmented core single mode fiber is greatly decreased less than that of conventional single mode fibers ( triangular Index, dual shape core). And mode field distribution In core Is confined 2H% stronger than that of a tapezoidal Index fiber In addition, the advantages of trapezoldal-shaped segmented core fibers are compared with t hose of conventional triangular -shaped segmented core fibers.

This paper proposes a current differential relay for transformer protection that operates in accordance with a blocking method based on the difference-function of a differential current. For magnetic inrush and over-excitation, discontinuities in the first-difference function of the differential current arise at the points of inflection, which correspond to the start and end of each saturation period of the core. These discontinuities are converted into the pulses in the second- and third-difference functions of the differential current. The magnitudes of the pulses are large enough to detect saturation of the core. A blocking signal is issued if the magnitude of the third-difference function exceeds the threshold and is maintained for three quarters of a cycle. The performance of the relay is assessed under various conditions with magnetic inrush, internal faults and external faults. The proposed blocking method can improve significantly the operating time of a relay and achieve high sensitivity of a relay.
In this paper we consider TU-cooperative games in the form of characteristic function. We notice that if one uses the necessary and sufficient condition for the core to be not empty in a dual form, it may be used for selecting the final outcome in the core. Using the linear programming approach for constructing the subcore, which is a subset of the core, we represent it in a simple form. We consider reduced games due to Davis-Mashler, Moulin and Funaki and formulate the sufficient conditions for the subcore to be S-consistent.
Here we report a theoretical description of ferromagnetic vortex dynamics. Based on Thiele's formulation of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, the motion of the vortex core could be described by a function of the vortex core position. Under a parabolic potential generated in the circular magnetic patterns, the vortex core showed a circular rotation-namely the gyrotropic motion, which could be described by a 2-dimensional simple harmonic oscillator. The gyrotropic frequency and apparent damping constant were predicted and compared with the values obtained micromagnetic calculation.
Background: The number of patients with incidentally identified pulmonary nodules is increasing. This study attempted to confirm the usefulness and safety of video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) core needle biopsy of pulmonary nodules. Methods: Data from 18 patients diagnosed with pulmonary nodules who underwent VATS core need biopsy were retrospectively reviewed. Results: Of the 18 patients, 15 had malignancies (primary lung cancer, n=14; metastatic lung cancer, n=1), and 3 had benign nodules. Mortality and pleural metastasis did not occur during the follow-up period. Conclusion: In patients with solitary pulmonary nodules that require tissue confirmation, computed tomography-guided percutaneous cutting needle biopsy or diagnostic pulmonary resection sometimes may not be feasible choices due to the location of the solitary pulmonary nodule or the patient's impaired pulmonary function, VATS core needle biopsy may be performed in these patients as an alternative method.
