Reconfigurable Position Control of Unmanned Expedition Vehicles under the Open Control Platform based Ubiquitous Environment (유비쿼터스 환경에서 개방형 제어 플랫폼에 기반한 무인탐사차량의 재형상 가능 위치제어)

  • We study on the implementation of reconfigurable position control system which is based on Open Control Platform(OCP) for Unmanned Expedition Vehicles(UEV) in ubiquitous environment. The control system uses hierarchical control structure and OCP structure which contains three layers such as core OCP, reconfigurable control API(Application Programmer Interface), generic hybrid control API. The goal of our research is to implement an UEV control system using advanced software technology. As a specific control problem, we study a transition management problem between PID control and neural network control depending on fault or parameter change of the plant, i.e., UEV. The concept of the OCP-based software-enabled control can provide synergy effect by the integration of software component, middleware, network communication, and control, and thus can be applied to various systems in ubiquitous environment.

  • Recently, the reliability evaluation and analysis are applied far many industrial products which are required to guarantee in quality and efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to present some of reliability evaluation methodologies that are applicable to machine tools. Especially ATC (Automatic Tool Changer), which is a core component of line center, was chosen as the target of the reliability evaluation and analysis. The scope of research is reliability prediction, reliability test and evaluates their results. The results of reliability evaluation have shown the failure rates, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure), reliability for those components of ATC and real tests reliability through the constructed reliability test-bed. It is expected that proposed methodologies would increase reliability for a high-speed line center.

Molecular Mechanism of Plant Adaption to High Salinity (식물의 고염 스트레스에 대한 반응 및 적응기작)

  • Plant responses to salinity stress is critical in determining the growth and development. Therefore, adaptability of plant to salinity stress is directly related with agriculture productivity. Salt adaptation is a result of the integrated functioning of numerous determinants that are regulated coordinately through an appropriate responsive signal transduction cascade. The cascade perceives the saline environment and exerts control over the essential mechanisms that are responsible for ion homeostasis and osmotic adjustment. Although little is known about the component elements of salt stress perception and the signaling cascade(s) in plant, the use of Arabidopsis plant as a molecular genetic tool has been provided important molecular nature of salt tolerance effectors and regulatory pathways. In this review, I summarize recent advances in understanding the molecular mechanisms of salt adaptation.

  • Recently, there has been an active study about weight reduction for automotive. This study is prediction and evaluation of one pice type steering component, which is universial joint. Steering system is a core of major safe device in vehicle. Universial shaft adopted in steering system transmit steering torque between olumn and steering gear. Conventional universial shaft is produced by welding process because of geometric complexity. But welding process has some weakness such as deflection on surface, residual stress, and deteronration of material properties so it can deteriorate durability of vehicle.

  • Automotive industries are interested in material development with low weight and recycling. Grommet is made from EPDM at rubber and used as an automotive component. The nonlinear material properties of rubber are important to predict the behaviors of rubber product. This study concerns material property test to achieve stress-strain curve. Curve fitting is carried out to obtain the nonlinear material constant. The nonlinear material constants of rubber are used for the nonlinear finite element analysis. The results of finite element analysis is executed to predict the behavior property of grommet.

  • In this paper, we propose a multi-layered architecture of workflow management systems based on CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture). The system aims to support product development processes in distributed environment. Many companies have started to adopt workflow management systems to manage and support their business processes. However, there are many problems in direct application of those systems to product development environments. These mainly resulted from the dynamic features of product development processes. It is strongly required to support dynamic processes as well as static and procedural ones in an integrated and consistent manner. To meet these requirements, a basic workflow management system has been developed as the core component of the integrated architecture. This performs the basic functions of workflow management system. Second, a dynamic workflow management system based on a bidding mechanism has been developed to manage processes that cannot be easily defined or are likely to be modified, Finally, an SGML workflow management system, which is the third layer in the architecture, has been developed to manage documents processing workflows by integration SGML documents contents and process information into the structured SGML document.

A Syntactic and Semantic Approach to Fingerprints Classification (구문론과 의미론적 방법을 이용한 지문분류)

  • A syntactic and semantic approach is used to make type classification based on feature points(whorl, delta, core) and the shape of flow line around feature points. The image is divided into 30 by 30 subregions which are represented in the average direction and 4-tuple direction component. Next the relaxation process with singularity detection and convergency checking is performed. A set of semantic languages is used to describe the major flow line around the extracted feature points. LR(1) parser and feature transfer function are used to recognize the coded flow patterns. The 72 fingerprint impressions is used to test the proposed approach and the rate of the classification is about 93 percentages.

  • ebXML의 핵심 컴포넌트(Core Component)는 범 산업 분야 및 다양한 환경에서 재사용 가능하고 컨텍스트(context)에 영향을 받지 않는 일반적인 빌딩블록(building block)으로, 비즈니스 문서를 구성하기 위한 가장 기본 요소이다. 이러한 핵심 컴포넌트는 비즈니스 컨텍스트에 의해 BIE(Business Information Entity)를 이루게 되며 Syntax binding을 통해 XML Schema, DTD 등의 형태로 표현된다. 따라서, ebXML환경에서 사용되는 비즈니스 문서를 포함하여 다양한 종류의 XML Schema, DTD, XML 관련 문서를 쉽게 저작(생성, 검증, 편집)할 수 있는 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구사항에 적합한 ebXML CC 기반 BD(Business Document) 저작도구로 범용적으로 사용할 수 있는 Schema.DTD 기반 XML 문서 편집기, Schema 문서 편집기, DTD 문서 편집기로 구성된 XDocBuilder를 설계 및 구현하였다.

Advanced Protective Relaying Algorithm by Flux-Differential Current Slope Characteristic for Power Transformer (전력용 변압기용 자속-차전류 기울기 특성에 의한 개선된 보호계전 알고리즘)

  • The most widely used primary protection for the internal fault detection of power transformers is current percentage differential relaying(PDR). However, the harmonic components could be decreased by magnetizing inrush when there have been changes to the material of iron core or its design methodology. The higher the capacitance of high voltage status and underground distribution, the more differential current includes the second harmonic component during occurrence of an internal fault. Therefore, the conventional harmonic restraint methods need modification. This paper proposes an advanced protective relaying algorithm by fluxt-differential current slope characteristic and trend of voltage and differential current. To evaluate the performance of proposed algorithm, we have made comparative studies of PDR fuzzy relaying, and DWT relaying. The paper is constructed power system model including power transformer, utilizing the WatATP99, and data collection is made through simulation of various internal faults and inrush. As the results of test. the new proposed algorithm was proven to be faster and more reliable.

Bandwidth Tracing Arbitration Algorithm for Mixed-Clock Systems with Dynamic Priority Adaptation

  • At the processing capabilities and operating frequency of embedded system are growing, so is the needed data bandwidth to fully utilize the processing capability. The ability to transfer huge amount of data between the embedded core and external devices is required for efficient system operation. In this paper, the data communication architecture for the mixed-clock system is proposed. The dynamic priority adaptation algorithm for bus arbitration is proposed for bandwidth guarantee. The communication architecture that incorporates the proposed arbitration algorithm adapts the priority of communication components dynamically based on the information from FIFO. The experiments show that the measured bandwidth of each component traces the required bandwidth well compared to the other arbitration algorithms
