  • This study was intended to identify path structures through pathway analysis with an emphasis on the cognitive elements that influence the acculturative stress of marriage-based immigrant women. The results of the study were designed to establish a foundation for practical measures and policies to support marriage-based immigrant women to adjust their lives in the culture. This study has established research model on the path structure according to the psychological stress theory as to how social support, coping strategy, and acculturative attitude recognized as a cognitive element of marriage-based immigrant women on the acculturative stress and implement practical verification. In addition, control variables for the use of ages, education level, period of marriage, and income level of socio-demographic variables were analyzed. To obtain data for the study, convenience sampling and snowball sampling of marriage-based immigrant women that resided in the area of C and J were conducted simultaneously through surveys and applied to the analysis of 204 cases. Analysis of the path structure of influence of social support, coping strategies, and acculturative attitudes that were perceived as a cognitive element of marriage-based immigrant women influencing acculturative stress revealed that these factors were specifically weighted towards acculturative. Moreover, comprehensive acculturative attitude was identified as a crucial variable reducing the effects of acculturative stress during the acculturative procedures of marriage-based immigrant women. This assumes that establishing and performing policies supporting co-existence of homeland cultures of marriage-based immigrant women and Korean cultures might be an efficient action for dealing with acculturative stress rather than forcing them to adjust to Korean culture.

  • This study is descriptive survey research to find out factors which violence experience, violence coping and social support affect. This study aims at reducing burnout of psychiatry nurses and founding problem-oriented violence handling standardized intervention. The subjects were 204 nurses who have worked for more than a year in a hospital. The data collection period was conducted with structured survey from July 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018. Collected data was analysed with average, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation confident, Multiple Regression and this data will go to by SPSS. The results of the study were as follows. 92.2% of psychiatry nurses are experiencing verbal violence, 92.2% are experiencing physical threat and 75.5% are experiencing physical violence. Relations between violence experience and violence coping(r=0.15. p<.027), violence experience and burnout(r=0.16, p<.017) were positive correlation. Relation between violence coping and social support(r=0.30, p<.001) was positive correlation, and social support and burnout(r=-0.28, p<.001) was negative correlated. Also we found out that nursing job satisfaction, social support and physical violence experience affect burnout. Which shows model's explanatory power was 33.3%. Therefore preventive discipline which can reduce violence experience of psychiatry nurses, founding systems to reinforce social support and creating circumstance where nursing job satisfaction can increase will help reduce burnout and serve better nursing.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the moderating effect of each of the three stress response (problem-centered treatment, pursuit of social support, and positive thinking) in the effect of work-family conflict between dual-earner couples on marriage satisfaction. To this end, 369 married couples (369 wives, 369 husbands) who raise children under the age of 6 were surveyed on stress coping (problem-centered, social support, and positive thinking), work-family conflicts, and marriage satisfaction. Based on the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM), the collected data verified six research models by distinguishing the moderating effects of each of the three coping strategies from the direction of Work to Family conflict and Family to Work conflict. Interaction graphs were also presented to determine the pattern of significant buffering effects. As a result, first of all, the problem-oriented strategy of the wife buffer the negative impact of the husband's WFC on the husband's own and wife's marriage satisfaction. It was also found that problem-oriented strategy that husband himself uses to buffer the negative impact of the husband's FWC on his wife's marriage satisfaction. Second, the pursuit of social support confirmed that the negative effects of the husband's WFC on the husband's marriage satisfaction were mitigated by the pursuit of social support used by his wife. Third, in the case of positive thinking, the effect of the positive thinking on the husband's WFC on the marriage satisfaction of the husband and wife was shown, and the positive response effect of the wife's FWC conflict was also shown. Finally, based on the results of this study, the discussion and implications of the study were presented.
