  • In the present paper, approximate coordinate transformations for simulation of turbulent flows with active wall motions, leading to a significant reduction in the computational cost while maintaining the numerical accuracy, are presented: the Navier-Stokes equations are coordinate-transformed with an approximation of Taylor-series truncation and neglect of some less-significant terms. The performance of the proposed transformations is evaluated in simulation of the channel flow at Re$\sub$$\tau$/=140 with wall deformations of │η$\sub$m/$\^$+/ 5. The approximate transformations provide flow structures as wall as turbulence statistics in good agreement with those from a complete coordinate transformation [Phys. Fluids 12, 3301 (2000)] and allow 25-30% savings in the CPU time as compared to the complete one.

The Wavier-Stokes equations are coordinate-transformed with an approximation of Tailor-series truncation.   • This paper presents a novel current control system to eliminate the steady state control error for PWM AC-DC converter. A general mathematical model of the converter which is represented as a state-space model is established. The state-space model is used for the simulation of converter with the proposed tracking control system of sinusoidal current. In this system, a novel current control which do not require coordinate transformations using internal principle of PI controller is described. It is proved that the steady state deviation reduce to zero through a transfer function of source current control system. Finally, simulations show good source current control characteristics by means of a simplified control system which do not require coordinate transformations.

  • 현재 우리나라의 수치지도에서는 동경원점계에 의한 Bessel타원체 좌표계를 사용하고 있으므로 새로운 지구중심좌표계(ITRF)에 의한 GRS80타원체 좌표계와는 상당한 차이가 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 좌표계의 도입에 따른 지도좌표계의 전환에 대비할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 두 체계간의 좌표차와 도엽체계에 대한 특성과 경향을 파악하고, 두 좌표계간의 지도좌표계 전환모듈을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구는 기타원점좌표체계의 지적자료를 통일원점좌표계로 변환하여 연속된 형태로 제작함으로써 GIS 분야에서 지적자료의 활용성을 높이는데 목적을 두고 진행되었다. 이를 위해 경기도 오산시를 대상으로 관련기관의 협조를 받아 실험연구를 실시하였다. 실험연구에서는 좌표변환에 활용되는 기준점 영역을 대 영역, 중 영역, 소 영역 3단계로 구분하였다. 또한, 최초 기타 원점 측량당시의 기준점 성과와 현재 업무에 활용하고 있는 기준점성과를 활용하여 그 결과를 비교하였다. 실험연구에서 사용한 좌표변환 방법은 2차원 투영변환 중 대표적인 등각사상변환, 부등각사상변환, 다항식변환 방법을 적용하였다. 변환 전·후의 필지 모양 및 형태변화를 측정하고, 최종적으로는 좌표계 통일후 인접지역에 대한 이격거리를 측정하여 가장 적정한 좌표변환 방안을 설정하였다. 실험연구 결과 대 영역의 부등각사상변환이 모양 및 형태변화와 이격거리에 있어 가장 양호한 값을 나타내었다.

  • Computing the natural-looking interpolation of different shapes is a fundamental problem of computer graphics. It is proved by some researchers that such an interpolation can be achieved by pursuing the isometry. In this paper, a novel coordinate system that is invariant under isometries is defined. The coordinate system can easily be converted from the global vertex coordinates. Furthermore, the global coordinates can be efficiently recovered from the new coordinates by simply solving two sparse least-squares problems. Since the proposed coordinate system is invariant under isometries, then transformations such as global rigid trans-formations, articulated posture deformations, or any other isometric deformations, do not change the coordinate values. Therefore, shape interpolation can be done in this framework without being affected by the distortions caused by the isometry.

애니메이션 공간에서의 제어의 통한 동작 생성 (Motion Control on Animation Space)

  • This paper presents a new methodology for specification and control of the motion of an articulated rigid body for the purposes of animation by coordinate transformations. The approach is to formulate the problem as a coordinate transformation from the joint space of the body to a user-defined animation space which is chosen for convenience in constraining the motion. Constraints are applied to the resulting coordinate transformation equations. It is sufficiently general so that it can be applied to all common types of control problems, including closed loop as well as open loop mechanisms. We also provided a new approach to simulate a closed loop mechanism, which is using animation space transformation technique. The method is formulated in detail and is demonstrated by animating the motion of an inchworm.

  • In the present study, a suitable mathematical model considering parabolic transverse shear strains for dynamic analysis of laminated composite skew plates under different types of impulse and spatial loads was presented for the first time. The proposed mathematical model satisfies zero transverse shear strain at the top and bottom of the plate. On the basis of the cubic variation of thickness coordinate in in-plane displacement fields of the present mathematical model, a 2D finite element (FE) model was developed including skew transformations in the mathematical model. No shear correction factor is required in the present formulation and damping effect was also incorporated. This is the first FE implementation considering a cubic variation of thickness coordinate in in-plane displacement fields including skew transformations to solve the forced vibration problem of composite skew plates. The effect of transverse shear and rotary inertia was incorporated in the present model. The Newmark-${\beta}$ scheme was adapted to perform time integration from step to step. The $C^0$ FE formulation was implemented to overcome the problem of $C^1$ continuity associated with the cubic variation of thickness coordinate in in-plane displacement fields. The numerical studies showed that the present 2D FE model predicts the result close to the analytical results. Many new results varying different parameter such as skew angles, boundary conditions, etc. were presented.
