  • In this thesis, we work on the curve recognition with real time processing and the Robot tracking method on recognized curve. Image information of segment curve is supplied to computer to run to a Robot so that it is a feedback system. Image coordinate frame to world coordinate transformation represents in this paper and curve matching algorithm subscribes by two method, first transformation matching algorithm, second image coordinate matching algorithm. Also Robot running time to computer image processing time relationships finally includes.

  • The present work is an attempt to calculate the steady state pressure and perturbed pressure of herringbone grooved journal bearings. A generalized coordinate system is introduced to handle the complex bearing geometry. The coordinates are fitted to the groove boundary and the Reynold's equation is transformed to be fitted to this coordinate system using the Gauss divergence theorem. This method makes it possible to deal with an arbitrary configuration of a lubricated surface. The caharacteristics of finite herringbone groove journal bearing are well calculated using this method.

  • The world geodetic system transformation of cadastral record have to minimize differences of boundary and area being in cadastral record according to transformation for that is direct connected with the land owner and property protection. However it is very difficult to accurately maintain the before and after transformation because coordinate transformation is generally using a mathematical conversion formula. At present, Helmert model by using 4-parameter is official coordinate transformation model for Cadastral Resurvey Project but scale factor is most sensitive to changes of area and relative position in the same parcel. In this study, it was proposed 3-parameter method using by scale factor fixing through the application of a Helmert in order to avoid changing the area difference and keeping the error within the tolerance range of the boundary which is related to the boundary point coordinate region.

  • In this paper, authors use a stereo vision system based on the visual model of human and establish inexpensive method that recognizes moving distance using characteristic points around the robot. With the stereovision. the changes of the coordinate values of the characteristic points that are fixed around the robot are measured. Self-displacement and self-localization recognition system is proposed from coordination reconstruction with those changes. To evaluate the proposed system, several characteristic points that is made with a LED around the robot and two cheap USB PC cameras are used. The mobile robot measures the coordinate value of each characteristic point at its initial position. After moving, the robot measures the coordinate values of the characteristic points those are set at the initial position. The mobile robot compares the changes of these several coordinate values and converts transformation matrix from these coordinate changes. As a matrix of the amount and the direction of moving displacement of the mobile robot, the obtained transformation matrix represents self-displacement and self-localization by the environment.

  • This study is purposed on showing an effective process for coordinate transformation of cadastral maps, based on the local datum, in the World Geodetic System (WGS) for Cadastral Reform Project (CRP). The process follows three steps: coordinate adjustment, datum transformation and distortion modeling. The first procedure is that point coordinates on local datum has to be adjusted by those GPS observed point-to-point distances, using trilateration. Secondly, the adjusted coordinates need to be transformed to WGS by applying the Affine model, while the verification of the methodology is implemented under numerical experiments. To conduct this procedure, 195 points in the same coordinate origins in Seoul and 61 points in several different origins in Incheon are used in the estimation. As a result, there are less than 2cm coordinate differences between transformed coordinates and measured ones at everywhere. Also, it is remarkable that the transformation does not depend on either of the particular common points or the sizes of computed region. Therefore, this suggested methodology is expected to easily provide identifications and corrections for points-deviations for improved quality of the cadastral map by distortion modeling through CRP.

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the coordinate transformation based on two different systems between local geodetic datum(tokyo datum) and international geocentric datum(new Korea geodetic datum). For this purpose, three methods were used to determine seven parameters as follows: Bursa-Wolf model, Molodensky-Badekas model, and Veis model. Also, we adopted multiple regression equation method to convert from Tokyo datum to KTRF. We used 935 control points as a common points and applied gross error analysis for detecting the outlier among those control points. The coordinate transformation was carried out using similarity transformation applied the obtained seven parameters and the precision of transformed coordinate was evaluated about 9,917 third or forth order control points. From these results, it was found that Bursa-Wolf model and Molodensky-Badekas model are more suitable than other for the determination of transformation parameters in Korea. And, transforming accuracy using MRE is lower than other similarity transformation model.

  • The fact on a variety of the plane coordinate systems in cadastral survey field caused a troublesome stage by different standards for the production of cadastral maps. The cadastral maps with different origins are not standardized in terms of unit and coordinate system, which introduces surveying problems at the edges where two or more zones meet. Moreover, difficulties in the creation of seamless digital cadastral map DBs between different coordinate systems has become the obstacle to establish various levels of spatial information systems for the efficient management of Korean Peninsula. Therefore, the aim of the study is to present a way to mutual coordinate transformation by clarifying the systematic differences between the areas of different origins.

  • Every mechanical component is fabricated with the variations in its size and shape, and the allowable range of the variation is specified by the tolerance in the design stage. Geometric tolerances specify the size or the thickness of each shape entity itself or its relative position and orientation with respect to datums. Since the range of shape variation can be represented by the variation of the coordinate system attached to the shape, the transformation matrix of the coordinate system would mathematically express the range of shape variation if the interval numbers are inserted for the elements of the transformation matrix. For the shape entity specified by the geometric tolerance with reference to datums, its range of variation can be also derived by propagating the transformation matrices composed of interval numbers. The propagation depends upon the order of precedence of datums.

  • In this paper, color coordinate system transformation based visual servo controller has been considered. Mobile robot always has a position error and an orientation error resulted from wheel slipping etc.. Even more, the errors have accumulative properties. So feedback from environments is important. In this paper, by using color model faster land mark extraction can be achieved. And the global position and the orientation of mobile robot can be known by only two land marks positions in image coordinate system. Finally, the adoption of visual information in path tracking problem makes visual servo control.
