  • In conventional cooperative communication data rate is 1/2 than non cooperative protocols. In this paper, we propose a full data rate DF (Decode and Forward) cooperative transmission scheme. Proposed scheme is based on time division multiplexing (TDM) channel access. When DF protocol has full data rate, it can not obtain diversity gain under the pairwise error probability (PEP) view point. If it increases time slot to obtain diversity gain, then data rate is reduced. The proposed algorithm uses orthogonal frequency and constellation rotation to obtain both full data rate and diversity order 2. Moreover, performance is analyzed according to distance and optimized components that affect the system performance by using computer simulation. The simulation results revealed that the cooperation can save the network power up to 7dB over direct transmission and 5dB over multi-hop transmission at BER of $10^{-2}$. Besides, it can improve date rate of system compared with the conventional DF protocol.

  • Cooperative spectrum sensing allows secondary users of a cognitive radio(CR) network to collaborate to determine whether a primary user occupies the spectrum of interest or not. It usually performs spectrum sensing by combining the individual decisions of each second user into a final one and the k-out-of-n fusion rule is a general approach for decision fusion. This rule declares that the spectrum is occupied only when the decisions from more than k-1 secondary users indicate the presence of a primary user. In this paper, we analyze a cooperative spectrum sensing scheme with the fusion rule under the constraint that its detection probability is maintained to be no less than a given level and its numerical results for the case of a CR network with 10 secondary users.

  • A facility is built by participating of various parties who are connecting each other by network of contract. Domestic construction industry has been suffering with high cost and low efficiency due to lack of cooperative relationship among companies who participated in the project. The government has tried to resolve this problem by diverse policy support, but practical result has not been realized in the level of satisfaction. This paper defined construction business ecosystem in the aspect of business ecosystem as a network among construction companies based on diverse production system, and diagnosed cooperative business ecosystem in construction industry. For construction business ecosystem to be more cooperative business ecosystem, the result of diagnosis shows that the type of cooperation based capacity and value sharing should be developed and interdependence among companies and cooperative relationship should be durable and reasonable price for construction should be guaranteed for the participant to have a profit from the project.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple bidirectional transmission protocol using network coding and digital Fountain codes. In particular, in the proposed scheme, two sources use digital Fountain codes to transmit their message to each other with the help of relays. Then, relays use Fountain codes and network coding to forward the source messages to both sources. To evaluate performance of the proposed protocols, we present the average total throughput over Rayleigh fading channels via Various Monte-Carlo simulations. Results show that the proposed protocol outperforms the two-way relaying transmission protocol without using network coding technique at high SNR region.

  • This paper analyzes network selection issues of secondary users (SUs) in Cooperative Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) by utilizing Queuing Model. Coordinating with Handover Cost-Based Network selection, this paper also addresses an opportunity for the secondary users (SUs) to enhance QoS as well as economics efficiency. In this paper, network selection of SUs is the optimal association between Overall System Time Minimization Problem evaluation of Secondary Connection (SC) and Handover Cost-Based Network selection. This will be illustrated by simulation results.

  • In business-to-business setting, dyadic relationships between firms are of paramount interest. Recent developments in business practice strongly suggest that to understand these business relationships, greater attention must be directed to the embedded context within which dyadic business relationships take place. As a result, it is important to develop an understanding which is to move from dyadic business relationship to business networks. The purpose of the current study is (1) to identify types of network benefits: information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members, (2) to model network benefit efforts on a customer orientation for customer firm, (3) to examine the relationship between network characteristics and network benefits. Adopting resource-based view and social capital theory, the conceptual model is proposed. In order to develop and test a model, this paper was empirically to examine how network characteristics can reinforce network benefits leading to focal firm's customer orientation using 123 firms. Through structural equation modeling, this research found that (1) density influences information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members, (2) centrality increases information acquisition, access to tangible resources. We also find that information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members enhances focal firm's customer orientation. Finally, We discuss several theoretical and practical implications, and suggest limitations for the research and future research issue.

  • We analyze the embedded structure of the cooperative research network of innovation studies in Korea by employing the social network methodology. The network covers all the contributing authors of two journals such as JTI and KTIS, which are the representative journals in the area. Across the networks, the following is noted: networks are highly segmented and the link density is low. However, the KTIS network contains a huge component with 131 authors which implies the existence of a strong cooperative research infrastructure. We derived three sub-networks such as technology economics, technology management, and technology policy. The technology policy network has the lowest link density, while the technology management network of KTIS shows relatively high cohesion among the researchers. Simulation analysis for the mean links of networks by author affiliation divided into university and others show no significant difference between the two networks. We also found a higher ratio of linkage within affiliated network than between networks, rejecting our hypothesis that researchers will not discriminate their research partners due to strong governmental inducement of academia-res each-industry cooperation. The explainability of indices from network structure such as structural holes and clustering coefficients on the performance of researchers measured by the number of citations confirms the results reported in Oh, Choi & Kim (2006) which dealt with the research network of information systems.

  • Since early 1950's fracture mechanics has brought significant impact on structural integrity assessment in a wide range of industries such as power, transportation, civil and petrochemical industries, especially in nuclear power plant industries. For the last two decades, significant efforts have been devoted in developing defect assessment procedures, from which various fitness-for-purpose or fitness-for-service codes have been developed. From another aspect, recent advances in IT (Information Technologies) bring rapid changes in various engineering fields. IT enables people to share information through network and thus provides concurrent working environment without limitations of working places. For this reason, a network system based on internet or intranet bas been appeared in various fields of business. Evaluating the integrity of structures is one of the most critical issues in nuclear industry. In order to evaluate the integrity of structures, a complicated and collaborative procedure is required including regular in-service inspection, fracture mechanics analysis, etc. And thus, experts in different fields have to cooperate to resolve the integrity problem. In this paper, an internet-based cooperative system for integrity evaluation system which adapts IT into a structural integrity evaluation procedure for reactor pressure vessel is introduced. The proposed system uses Virtual Reality (VR) technique, Virtual Network Computing (VNC) and agent programs. This system is able to support 3-dimensional virtual reality environment and to provide experts to cooperate by accessing related data through internet.

  • In this paper, an efficient technique for enhancing the QoS of multimedia service for an WiMedia network applying distributed cooperative medium access (D-MAC) protocol is proposed. D-MAC protocol has been proposed to support high-rate Wireless Personal Area Networks (HR-WPANs) by the WiMedia Alliance. Unlike the centralized IEEE 802.15.3 MAC, the D-MAC UWB specified by WiMedia supports all devices to be self-organized and removes the SOP (Simultaneous Operating Piconet) problem, i.e., packet collisions between overlapped piconets in the centralized IEEE 802.15.3 MAC. However the WiMedia D-MAC can't prevent reduce the throughput degradation occurred by mobile nodes with low data rate. Therefore, a distributed cooperative MAC protocol for multi-hop UWB network is proposed in this paper. The proposed technique can intelligently select the transmission path with higher data rate to provide real-time multimedia services with minimum delay, thus enhances QoS of multimedia service.

  • Security between mobile nodes and efficient communication is one of the most important parts of the MANET. In particular, the wireless network is significantly higher for the attack threats because of collaborative structure for open communication media and communication. However, application of existing security mechanisms and intrusion detection system is not easy due to the characteristics of MANET. It is because collection and integration of adult data by the dynamic topology due to the mobility of nodes and many network sensors is difficult. In this study, we propose cooperative security system technique that can improve the reliability based on authentication assessing confidence about the whole nodes which joins to network and detect effectively this when intrusion occurs. Cluster head which manages the cluster performs CA role for the certificate issue and the gateway node performs role of intrusion detection system. Intrusion detection is performed by cooperating with neighboring nodes when attack is not detected in one intrusion detection node. The performance of the proposed method was confirmed through experiments comparing with the SRP technique.
