Now a days, Efficient processing of Broadcast Queries is of critical importance with the ever-increasing deployment and use of mobile technologies. BQs have certain unique characteristics that the traditional spatial query processing in centralized databases does not address. In novel query processing technique, by maintaining high scalability and accuracy, latency is reduced considerably in answering BQs. Novel approach is based on peer-to-peer sharing, which enables us to process queries without delay at a mobile host by using query results cached in its neighboring mobile peers. We design and evaluate cooperative caching techniques to efficiently support data access in ad hoc networks. We first propose two schemes: Cache Data, which caches the data, and Cache Path, which caches the data path. After analyzing the performance of those two schemes, we propose a hybrid approach (Hybrid Cache), which can further improve the performance by taking advantage of Cache Data and Cache Path while avoiding their weaknesses. Cache replacement policies are also studied to further improve the performance. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes can significantly reduce the query delay and message complexity when compared to other caching schemes.
Due to the emerging of high-speed network, lots of interests of access to remote data have increased. Those interests motivate using of Cooperative Caching that uses remote cache like local cache by sharing other clients' cache. The conventional algorithm like GMS(Global Memory Service) has some disadvantages that occurred bottleneck and decreasing performance because of exchanges of many messages to server or manager. On the other hand, Hint-based algorithm resolves a GMS's server bottleneck as each client has hint information of all blocks. But Hint-based algorithm also causes some problems such as inaccurate information in it, if it has too old hint information. In this paper, we offer the policy that supplement bottleneck and inaccuracy; by using file identifier that can search for the lookup table and by exchanging oldest block information between each client periodically.

Since large objects consume substantial resources, web proxy caching incurs a fundamental trade-off between performance (i.e., hit-ratio and latency) and overhead (i.e., resource usage), in terms of caching and relaying large objects to users. This paper investigates how and to what extent the current dedicated-server based web proxy caching scheme is affected by large file transfers in a high bandwidth campus network environment. We use a series of trace-based performance analyses and profiling of various resource components in our experimental squid proxy cache server. Large file transfers often overwhelm our cache server. This causes a bottleneck in a web network, by saturating the network bandwidth of the cache server. Due to the requests for large objects, response times required for delivery of concurrently requested small objects increase, by a factor as high as a few million, in the worst cases. We argue that this cache bandwidth bottleneck problem is due to the fundamental limitations of the current centralized web proxy caching model that scales poorly when there are a limited amount of dedicated resources. This is a serious threat to the viability of the current web proxy caching model, particularly in a high bandwidth access network, since it leads to sporadic disconnections of the downstream access network from the global web network. We propose a peer-to-peer cooperative web caching scheme to address the cache bandwidth bottleneck problem. We show that it performs the task of caching and delivery of large objects in an efficient and cost-effective manner, without generating significant overheads for participating peers.

A Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a vehicular specific type of a mobile ad-hoc network, to provide temporary communications among nearby vehicles. Mobile node of VANET consumes energy and resource with participating in the member of network. In a VANET, data replication and cooperative caching have been used as promising solutions to improve system performance. Existing cooperative caching scheme in a VANET mostly focuses on weak consistency is not always satisfactory. In this paper, we propose an efficient cache management scheme to maintain strong data consistency in a VANET. We make an adaptive scheduling scheme to broadcast Invalidation Report (IR) in order to reduce query delay and communication overhead to maintain strong data consistency. The simulation result shows that our proposed method has a strength in terms of query delay and communication overhead.
In this paper, wireless internet proxy server clusters are used for the wireless internet because their caching, distillation, and clustering functions are helpful to overcome the limitations and needs of the wireless internet. A wireless Internet proxy server cluster needs a systematic scalability, simple communication structure, cooperative caching, and serving Hot Spot requests. In our former research, we proposed the CD-A structure which can be scalable in a systematic way and has a simple communication structure but it has no cooperative caching. A hash based load balancing can be used to solve the problem, but it can not deal with Hot Spot request problem. In this paper, we proposed a shared storage based wireless internet proxy server cluster which has a systematic scalability, simple communication structure, cooperative caching, and serving Hot Spot requests. The proposed method shares one cache directory and it has advantages: advantages of the existing CD-A structure, cooperative caching, and serving Hot Spot requests. We performed experiments using 16 PCs and experimental results show high performance improvement of the proposed system compared to the existing systems in Hot Spot requests.

MANET is a network that is a very useful application to build network environment in difficult situation to build network infrastructure. But, nodes that configures MANET have difficulties in data retrieval owing to resources which aren't enough and mobility. Therefore, caching scheme is required to improve accessibility and availability for frequently accessed data. In this paper, we proposed a technique that utilize mobility prediction of nodes to retrieve quickly desired information and improve data availability. Mobility prediction of modes is performed through distance calculation using location information. We used technique which global cluster table and local member table is managed by cluster head to reduce data consistency and query latency time. We compared COCA and CacheData and experimented to confirm performance of proposed scheme in this paper and efficiency of the proposed technique through experience was confirmed.
In this study, we developed hybrid control algorithms in smart base stations (SBSs) along with devised communication, caching, and computing techniques. In the proposed scheme, SBSs are equipped with computing power and data storage to collectively offload the computation from mobile user equipment and to cache the data from clouds. To combine in a refined manner the communication, caching, and computing algorithms, game theory is adopted to characterize competitive and cooperative interactions. The main contribution of our proposed scheme is to illuminate the ultimate synergy behind a fully integrated approach, while providing excellent adaptability and flexibility to satisfy the different performance requirements. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can outperform existing schemes by approximately 5% to 15% in terms of bandwidth utilization, access delay, and system throughput.

In a mobile ad hoc network (MANET), communication between mobile nodes occurs without centralized control. In this environment the mobility of a node is unpredictable; this is considered as a characteristic of wireless networks. Because of faulty or malicious nodes, the network is vulnerable to routing misbehavior. The resource constrained characteristics of MANETs leads to increased query delay at the time of data access. In this paper, AntHocNet+ Security (ANTSEC) framework is proposed that includes an enhanced cooperative caching scheme embedded with artificial immune system. This framework improves security by injecting immunity into the data packets, improves the packet delivery ratio and reduces end-to-end delay using cross layer design. The issues of node failure and node malfunction are addressed in the cache management.
Nowadays, Internet is used worldwide and network traffic is increasing dramatically. Much of Internet traffic is due to the web applications. And I propose a new cooperative web caching scheme, called DCOORD which tries to minimize the overall cost of Web caching. DCOORD reduces the communication cost by coordinating the objects which are cached at each cache server. In this paper, I compare the Performance of DCOORD with two well-known cooperative Web caching schemes, ICP and CARP, using trace driven simulation. In order to reflect the cost factor in the network communication, I used the CSR(Cost-Saving Ratio) as our performance metric, instead of the traditional hit ratio. The performance evaluations show that DCOORD is more cost effective than ICP and CARP.
