Mg 온간성형을 위한 십자형상 금형의 가열/냉각 채널 설계 (Heating and Cooling Channel Design of Cross-Shaped Die for Warm Forming of Magnesium Alloy Sheet)

  • It is known that the temperatures of die, punch, holder and punch pad need to be kept different to get better formability in Mg sheet forming processes. Heating and cooling channels are usually equipped in each tool to assign different temperature. This study focused on the optimal design of the heating and cooling channels for a cross-shaped deep drawing die set. While the die and blankholder were heated to and kept at $250^{\circ}C$ by using heat cartridges, the punch and punch pad were kept at much lower temperature than that of the die and blankholder by water circulating through cooling channels. All the approaches were done by numerical analyses, aiming to maximize the cup height and to minimize the punch corner radius without any failure.

창원시 학교 건축물의 냉난방부하에 대한 전력 소비량 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Prediction of Power Consumption Rate for Heating and Cooling load of School Building in Changwon City)

  • This study was carried out in order to establish the estimation equation for school power consumption using regression analysis based on collected power consumption for two years of weather data and schools are located in Central Changwon and Masan district in Changwon city. (1) The power consumption estimation equation for Heating and cooling is calculated using power consumption per unit volume, the difference between actual power consumption and results of estimation equations is 4.1%. (2) The power consumption estimation equation for heating load is showed 2.6% difference compared to actual power consumption in Central Changwon and is expressed 2.9% difference compared to that in Masan district. Therefore, the power consumption prediction for each school using the power consumption estimation equation is possible. (3) The power consumption estimation equation for cooling load is showed 8.0% difference compared to actual power consumption in Central Changwon and is expressed 2.9% compared to that in Masan district. As the power consumption estimation equation for cooling load is expressed difference compared to heating load, it needs to investigate influence for cooling load.

Strength loss contributions during stages of heating, retention and cooling regimes for concretes

  • Concrete suffers strength loss when subjected to elevated temperatures during an accidental event such as fire. The loss in strength of concrete is mainly attributed to decomposition of C-S-H gel and release of chemically bound water, which begins when the temperature exceeds $500^{\circ}C$. But it is unclear about how much strength loss occurs in different stages of heating, retention and cooling regimes. This work is carried out to separate the total strength loss into losses during different stages of heating, retention and cooling. Tests were carried out on both Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) based concrete and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) blended concrete for $200^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$ and $800^{\circ}C$ with a retention period of 1 hour for each of these temperature levels. Furnace cooling was adopted throughout the experiment. This study reports strength loss contribution during heating, retention and cooling regimes for both OPC based and GGBFS based concretes.

  • A $CO_2$ heat pump system was designed for both cooling and heating in the cabin of electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles or fuel cell vehicles, In this study, the performance characteristics of the heat pump system without any supplementary heating device were analyzed and the heating performance was compared with the cooling performance for various operating conditions. Experiments were carried out by changing the speed of electric drive compressor, the air flow rate of interior heat exchanger and the air inlet temperature and speed of exterior heat exchanger. Therefore, the cooling/heating capacities and the corresponding COPs are quantified. Also, the heat pump system showed an improved performance for the cooling operation and the heating operation. In this study, the experimental results can be used to evaluate the effect of system design changes on system performance as well as the development of a highly efficient heat pump system.

조명발열 배기시스템의 배기위치에 따른 배기열량 실험연구 (A Study of Exhaust Air Flow for Cooling Load Reduction from Interior Lighting)

  • This study aims to reduce cooling energy by grasping kinds of heating load in building in order to decrease cooling energy in summer and eliminate efficiently heating load. Lighting heating value was confirmed through examination and experiment concerning lighting heating and reducible exhaustion value was extracted lighting apparatus. The optimal exhaust system by air conditioning type was suggested for applying lighting heat exhaust system and the method contributing to promotion supplying low energy architecture was suggested by predicting reduced cooling load.

  • The research assesses the performance of the water-to-water heat pump system installed in Cheongju water treatment plant for cooling and heating ventilation. In summer season monthly averaged COP is ranged from 3.85 to 4.56 according to the water source temperature, and the performance is increased as the raw water temperature is dropped. While, heating performance is increased for the high temperature water source, and the monthly averaged COP is changed from 2.92 to 3.82. The correlation of the water source temperature and the heat pump performance shows a linear tendency by the simple regression of average data. In heating, the COP of heat pump system linearly rises according to the water source temperature. In comparison, the COP in cooling linearly reduces as the raw water temperature is raised. The goodness of fit at the simple regression shows the coefficient of determination 82% in cooling, 46% in heating. The electric cost of water-to-water heat pump is reduced by 40% compared to that of air source heat pump.

  • The aim of this study was to analysis the Heating/cooling performance of Solar Window built in apartments. The solar window is the idea to integrate daylight as a third form of solar energy into a PV/Solar Collector system and allows more control due to the possibility to close the reflectors. However, there can be a conflict between the desire for on one hand daylight and view and on the other hand optimal energy conversion for the PV/Solar Collector system. The process of this study is as follows: 1) The Solar Window system is designed through the investigation of previous paper and work. 2)The simulation program(ESP-r, Therm5.0, Window6.0) was used in Heating/cooling performance analysis. The reference model of simulation was made up to analysis Heating/cooling performance on Solar Window. 3)Selected reference model(Floors:15, Area of Unit:$148.5m^2$) for heating energy analysis, Energy performance simulation with various variants, such as U-value of Solar Window system according to its position and angle. Consequently, When Solar Window system is equipped with balcony window of Apartment, Annual heating and cooling energy of reference model was cut down about 5%~11%.

  • In order to improve fatigue life of transmission gear carburizing is normally used. Carburizing is a very good process to achieve low cost and high performance. The machined gears are heated up to carburizing temperature and then cooled rapidly in an oil bath to produce high surface hardness. The gears may undergo excessive thermal distortion during heating and rapid cooling. In order to predict the distortion during heating and rapid cooling, a coupled thermo-mechanical simulation is needed. In the current research, the simulation of heating and cooling was performed. The results show that the thermal distortion and the residual stresses are well predicted by the coupled simulation. In addition, induction heating and rapid cooling simulation is carried out to predict the thermal distortion. The amount of distortion is compared. It is shown that induction heating is very effective to reduce thermal distortion.

우리나라의 기후 변화 영향에 의한 건물 냉난방에너지 수요량 변화의 예측 (Prediction on Variation of Building Heating and Cooling Energy Demand According to the Climate Change Impacts in Korea)

  • The potential impacts of climate change on heating and cooling energy demand were investigated by means of transient building energy simulations and hourly weather data scenarios for Inchon. Future trends for the 21 st century was assessed based oil climate change scenarios with 7 global climate models(GCMs), We constructed hourly weather data from monthly temperatures and total incident solar radiation ($W/m^2$) and then simulated heating and cooling load by Trnsys 16 for Inchon. For 2004-2080, the selected scenarios made by IPCC foresaw a $3.7-5.8^{\circ}C$rise in mean annual air temperature. In 2004-2080, the annual cooling load for a apartment with internal heat gains increased by 75-165% while the heating load fell by 52-71%. Our analysis showed widely varying shifts in future energy demand depending on the season. Heating costs will significantly decrease whereas more expensive electrical energy will be needed of air conditioning during the summer.

블라인드 내장형 창호시스템의 에너지 성능 및 경제성 평가에 관한 연구 (Study on Energy Performance And Economic Evaluation of Windows System with Built-in Type Blinds)

  • 본 연구에서는 전열해석 프로그램인 피지벨(PHYSIBEL)을 사용하여 블라인드 내장형 창호시스템의 일사차단성능 및 단열성능에 따른 에너지 성능을 평가하였다. 피지벨 해석시 창호별 구성 재료의 열적특성과 해석조건을 결정하기 위해서 Mock-up시험을 실시하였으며, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 결과를 바탕으로 공동주택 기준층 1개 세대(33평형)를 대상으로 연간에너지 소비특성, 연간전열량, 연간 냉난방 비용을 분석하였다. 실험결과, 연간전열량은 일반 창호시스템 대비 블라인드 내장형 창호시스템에서 블라인드를 올린 경우 냉방시 10%, 난방시 11% 절감할 수 있으며, 블라인드를 내린 경우 냉방시 25%, 난방시 30%정도를 절감할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 블라인드 내장형 창호시스템의 냉 난방 부하 절감량은 일반 창호시스템에 비해 냉방시 283.3KWh, 난방시 76.3KWh 로 냉 난방 에너지 절감효과는 단위세대당 359.6KWh 절감시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이것은 단위세대당 연간 에너지원단위(TOE) 약 0.078toe, 이산화탄소톤($tCO_2$) $0.16tCO_2$을 절감시킬 수 있어 온실가스 저감에도 유리할 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 블라인드 내장형 창호시스템의 냉 난방비용 절감액은 일반창호시스템과 비교하여 연간 냉방비용 10만원, 난방비용 5만원으로 연간 냉 난방 비용을 약 15만원 정도 절감시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.
