Abstractive text summarization is a process of making a summary of a given text by paraphrasing the facts of the text while keeping the meaning intact. The manmade summary generation process is laborious and time-consuming. We present here a summary generation model that is based on multilayered attentional peephole convolutional long short-term memory (MAPCoL; LSTM) in order to extract abstractive summaries of large text in an automated manner. We added the concept of attention in a peephole convolutional LSTM to improve the overall quality of a summary by giving weights to important parts of the source text during training. We evaluated the performance with regard to semantic coherence of our MAPCoL model over a popular dataset named CNN/Daily Mail, and found that MAPCoL outperformed other traditional LSTM-based models. We found improvements in the performance of MAPCoL in different internal settings when compared to state-of-the-art models of abstractive text summarization.

In this study, four types of fall detection systems - designed with YOLOPose, principal component analysis (PCA), convolutional neural network (CNN), and long short-term memory (LSTM) architectures - were developed and compared in the detection of everyday falls. The experimental dataset encompassed seven types of activities: walking, lying, jumping, jumping in activities of daily living, falling backward, falling forward, and falling sideways. Keypoints extracted from YOLOPose were entered into the following architectures: RAW-LSTM, PCA-LSTM, RAW-PCA-LSTM, and PCA-CNN-LSTM. For the PCA architectures, the reduced input size stemming from a dimensionality reduction enhanced the operational efficiency in terms of computational time and memory at the cost of decreased accuracy. In contrast, the addition of a CNN resulted in higher complexity and lower accuracy. The RAW-LSTM architecture, which did not include either PCA or CNN, had the least number of parameters, which resulted in the best computational time and memory while also achieving the highest accuracy.

With the recent development of hardware performance and artificial intelligence technology, sophisticated fake videos that are difficult to distinguish with the human's eye are increasing. Face synthesis technology using artificial intelligence is called Deepfake, and anyone with a little programming skill and deep learning knowledge can produce sophisticated fake videos using Deepfake. A number of indiscriminate fake videos has been increased significantly, which may lead to problems such as privacy violations, fake news and fraud. Therefore, it is necessary to detect fake video clips that cannot be discriminated by a human eyes. Thus, in this paper, we propose a deep-fake detection model applied with Bidirectional Convolution LSTM and Attention Module. Unlike LSTM, which considers only the forward sequential procedure, the model proposed in this paper uses the reverse order procedure. The Attention Module is used with a Convolutional neural network model to use the characteristics of each frame for extraction. Experiments have shown that the model proposed has 93.5% accuracy and AUC is up to 50% higher than the results of pre-existing studies.
To address the problems of low precision rate, insufficient feature extraction, and poor contextual ability in existing text sentiment analysis methods, a mixed model account of a CNN-BiLSTM-TE (convolutional neural network, bidirectional long short-term memory, and topic extraction) model was proposed. First, Chinese text data was converted into vectors through the method of transfer learning by Word2Vec. Second, local features were extracted by the CNN model. Then, contextual information was extracted by the BiLSTM neural network and the emotional tendency was obtained using softmax. Finally, topics were extracted by the term frequency-inverse document frequency and K-means. Compared with the CNN, BiLSTM, and gate recurrent unit (GRU) models, the CNN-BiLSTM-TE model's F1-score was higher than other models by 0.0147, 0.006, and 0.0052, respectively. Then compared with CNN-LSTM, LSTM-CNN, and BiLSTM-CNN models, the F1-score was higher by 0.0071, 0.0038, and 0.0049, respectively. Experimental results showed that the CNN-BiLSTM-TE model can effectively improve various indicators in application. Lastly, performed scalability verification through a takeaway dataset, which has great value in practical applications.
Sea ice, frozen sea water, in the Artic is a primary indicator of global warming. Due to its importance to the climate system, shipping-route navigation, and fisheries, Arctic sea ice prediction has gained increased attention in various disciplines. Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI), motivated by a desire to develop more autonomous and efficient future predictions, have led to the development of new sea ice prediction models as alternatives to conventional numerical and statistical prediction models. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the two-stream convolutional long-and short-term memory (TS-ConvLSTM) AI model, which is designed for learning both global and local characteristics of the Arctic sea ice changes, for the minimum September Arctic sea ice from 2001 to 2021, and to show the possibility for an operational prediction system. Although the TS-ConvLSTM model generally increased the prediction performance as training data increased, predictability for the marginal ice zone, 5-50% concentration, showed a negative trend due to increasing first-year sea ice and warming. Additionally, a comparison of sea ice extent predicted by the TS-ConvLSTM with the median Sea Ice Outlooks (SIOs) submitted to the Sea Ice Prediction Network has been carried out. Unlike the TS-ConvLSTM, the median SIOs did not show notable improvements as time passed (i.e., the amount of training data increased). Although the TS-ConvLSTM model has shown the potential for the operational sea ice prediction system, learning more spatio-temporal patterns in the difficult-to-predict natural environment for the robust prediction system should be considered in future work.

With the development of artificial intelligence, the prediction system has become one of the essential technologies in our lives. Despite the growth of these technologies, traffic congestion at intersections in the 21st century has continued to be a problem. This paper proposes a system that predicts intersection traffic jams using a Convolutional LSTM (Conv-LSTM) algorithm. The proposed system models data obtained by learning traffic information by time zone at the intersection where traffic congestion occurs. Traffic congestion is predicted with traffic volume data recorded over time. Based on the predicted result, the intersection traffic signal is controlled and maintained at a constant traffic volume. Road congestion data was defined using VDS sensors, and each intersection was configured with a Conv-LSTM algorithm-based network system to facilitate traffic.
This study proposes a two-stage hybrid classification model for crop classification using multi-temporal remote sensing images; the model combines feature embedding by using an autoencoder (AE) with a convolutional neural network (CNN) classifier to fully utilize features including informative temporal and spatial signatures. Long short-term memory (LSTM)-based AE (LAE) is fine-tuned using class label information to extract latent features that contain less noise and useful temporal signatures. The CNN classifier is then applied to effectively account for the spatial characteristics of the extracted latent features. A crop classification experiment with multi-temporal unmanned aerial vehicle images is conducted to illustrate the potential application of the proposed hybrid model. The classification performance of the proposed model is compared with various combinations of conventional deep learning models (CNN, LSTM, and convolutional LSTM) and different inputs (original multi-temporal images and features from stacked AE). From the crop classification experiment, the best classification accuracy was achieved by the proposed model that utilized the latent features by fine-tuned LAE as input for the CNN classifier. The latent features that contain useful temporal signatures and are less noisy could increase the class separability between crops with similar spectral signatures, thereby leading to superior classification accuracy. The experimental results demonstrate the importance of effective feature extraction and the potential of the proposed classification model for crop classification using multi-temporal remote sensing images.

This study proposes a throttle and steering control technology using visual sensors based on deep learning's convolutional and recurrent neural networks. It collects camera image and control value data while driving a training track in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, and generates a model to predict throttle and steering through data sampling and preprocessing for efficient learning. Afterward, the model was validated on a test track in a different environment that was not used for training to find the optimal model and compare it with a CNN (Convolutional Neural Network). As a result, we found that the proposed deep learning model has excellent performance.
Recently, the necessity of predicting changes for monitoring ocean is widely recognized. In this study, we performed a time series prediction of remote-sensing reflectance (Rrs), which can indicate changes in the ocean, using Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) data. Using GOCI-I data, we trained a multi-scale Convolutional Long-Short-Term-Memory (ConvLSTM) which is proposed in this study. Validation was conducted using GOCI-II data acquired at different periods from GOCI-I. We compared model performance with the existing ConvLSTM models. The results showed that the proposed model, which considers both spatial and temporal features, outperformed other models in predicting temporal trends of Rrs. We checked the temporal trends of Rrs learned by the model through long-term prediction results. Consequently, we anticipate that it would be available in periodic change detection.

Deep learning analyzes data to discover a series of rules and anticipates the future, helping us in various ways in our lives. For example, prediction of stock prices and agricultural prices. In this research, the results of solar photovoltaic power generation accompanied by weather are analyzed through deep learning in situations where the importance of solar energy use increases, and the amount of power generation is predicted. In this research, we propose a model using LSTM(Long Short Term Memory network) that stand out in time series data prediction. And we compare LSTM's performance with CNN(Convolutional Neural Network), which is used to analyze various dimensions of data, including images, and CNN-LSTM, which combines the two models. The performance of the three models was compared by calculating the MSE, RMSE, R-Squared with the actual value of the solar photovoltaic power generation performance and the predicted value. As a result, it was found that the performance of the LSTM model was the best. Therefor, this research proposes predicting solar photovoltaic power generation using LSTM.
