  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180km/h

  • In this paper, a novel scheme to eliminate common-mode voltage (CMV) is proposed for three-level neutral-point clamped (NPC) inverters. In the proposed scheme, a low-power full-bridge converter is utilized to produce compensatory voltage for CMV, which is injected into an NPC inverter through a single-phase four-winding transformer. With the proposed circuit, the power range for applications is not limited, and the maximum modulation index of the inverter is not reduced. These features are suitable for high-power medium-voltage machine drives. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • In this paper, Characteristic of power conversion unit of a railway vehicles according to contact loss in feeding system that applied impedance of rigid conductor is analyzed. It applied impedance of rigid bar in modeling of electric railway system. Railway vehicles are performed of modeling based on the performance of the electric railway vehicle. Effects of the contact loss in the power conversion unit were analyzed via main transformer of railway vehicle, the input and output voltage characteristics of the converter through contact loss was generated after linking the vehicle with feeding system.

  • This paper proposes a new double-connected 3-phase voltage source inverter with improved output voltage waveform. An auxiliary single-phase inverter injects a ripple voltage into the double-connected inverter to converter 12-step operation to 36-step operation. The KVA rating of the output phase-shifting transformer is reduced by employing a harmonic canceling reactor. The whole rectifier-inverter system including the proposed technique is introduced, and the experimental results are provided.

  • 엑티브 클램프 포워드 컨버터는 고효율, 간단한 구조의 특징으로 PC 파워 시스템, 서버 파워 시스템과 같은 어플리케이션에 많이 사용 되고 있다. 특히 더블 앤디드 엑티브 클램프 포워드 컨버터는 작은 출력 필터와 고효율의 장점이 있으나, 변압기 오프셋 전류로 인해 변압기의 크기와 코어 손실이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 게이트 신호 조정을 통해 낮은 변압기 오프셋 전류를 갖는 새로운 더블 앤디드 엑티브 클램프 포워드 컨버터를 제안한다. 따라서 변압기의 크기와 코어 손실, 1차측과 출력 인덕터의 전력손실이 감소함으로써 높은 전력밀도와 고효율을 달성하게 된다.

  • 본 논문은 슈퍼커패시터용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충 방전 시의 스위치 손실 분석을 통한 변압기 권선비 설계에 관한 내용이다. Dual Full-Bridge 방식의 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충 방전 동작분석을 통하여 스위치에서 발생하는 손실을 분석하고 변압기 권선비를 달리하여 각 손실을 비교했을 때 가장 작은 손실을 갖는 변압기 권선비를 파악하여 설계에 반영하였다.

  • This paper is indicating the problems, which are the conduction loss on the high frequency transformer, the protection of rectification diode as the snubber loss and the stress of switching main devices, as be made high current and high speed in the phase-shift switching full-bridge DC-DC converter is used the power supply’s main circuit of high capacity. To improve those problems, in this paper, it is proposed that is the resonant circuit auxiliary can be reduced conduction losses and stabilized output control. And, it is constructed prototype of the power supply as the result of computer simulations.

  • Recently the power supply equipments have tendency to take multiple feedback loop paths. In this paper, the state space averaging technique is applied for the analysis of flyback type current mode control circuit. We made real converter for the gurantee of stable output characteristic and proper design of feedback circuit. The validity of proposed method is verified from test results. The improvement of stability is confirmed by sinusoidal signal injection method with isolated transformer. It is known that phase margin is sufficient and gain crossover frequency $f_c$, is nearly 1/5 of switching frequency $f_s$, from the experimental result with frequency response analyzer.

  • Power electronic converters generate the harmonic voltage and current, and these harmonics have the harmful effects on the various components. For example, passive components such as capacitor and inductor, transformer, motor and other components are mainly affected in the power electronic system. Thus, the design and manufacturing of the power converters, which have the harmonic-free or mitigation strategies, are required. In particular, the lifetime and durability of these components are main requirement for enhancing the overall stability of the system. So, in this paper, the harmonics-related problems to the neighbouring components and mitigation research trends are presented.
