This study aims to develop and apply communication and relationship enrichment programs for married multicultural couples and verify its effects. This preliminary program was developed based on results from reviews of existing intervention programs, participants' interview for their needs and professionals' feedback on program. The program includes 11 sessions(once a week; 2 hours per session) focusing on communication strategies and related activities using marital counseling. Four multicultural couples participated in the intervention program. Qualitative data was collected during the program, including voice recording files, activity sheets, and filed notes conducted by researchers. Based on the results from the data analysis, we could find the intervention program had an positive effect on the communication between multicultural couples. Specifically, the intervention program could (1) enhanced intimacy in the couples, (2) started conversation and improved communication patterns between the couples. And also (3) modes of communication were changed to more collaborative communication through this program. The marital communication program developed in this study is significant in that it played a catalytic role for marital conversation in multicultural couples and used professional counseling techniques and strategies in solving and managing marital conflict.

For knowing the effects of aging on conversational skills in daily communication, this paper studied for the conversational turn-taking skills, working memory and naming ability on healthy elderly adults over 65 ages. 85 elderly adults participated in this study, which divided into four groups by ages. Speech samples were collected in natural conversation. Memorization of numbers, mental calculation, repetition of words were administered for working memory test. K-BNT was used for the naming ability. One-way ANOVA analysis was used for the comparison of conversational turn-taking skills among four groups. We analyzed the correlation between conversational skills, working memory and naming ability. The results were as follows: first, there were a significant difference in conversational turn-taking skills by age, but not by gender. There was a significant difference in 'Turn-Taking Frequency' and 'Total Utterance Frequency' among four groups. The same results were shown in the scores of females within three groups(exclude groups over 85D)(p<.01). Second, there was a significant correlation between 'rates of maintenance' and 'naming ability'. In addition, it was found that the naming test predicted 'rates of maintenance' skills. The results of this study suggest that word-retrieval ability will be helpful to enhance functional communication skills in aging old adults.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between high school student's self-efficacy and conversations with parents on career maturity. We consider how to instruct students in school life, efforts to increase students' career maturity and implications for career education in schools to evaluate students' school life. For the empirical analysis, the Korea Education and Employment Panel (KEEP II) survey data conducted in early 2018 was used. Study results found self-efficacy has a significant positive (+) effect on career maturity and a significant positive effect on conversations with parents. The frequency and content of conversation with parents have a significant positive (+) effect on career maturity. The effect of self-efficacy and conversations with parents variables on career maturity has a significant regulatory effect between the two groups who were satisfied with school life and those who were not.

Network Quotient, an important figure in modern society, the intelligibility of speech as a conversation partner to maximize pulling up feeling of liking it as much as possible has become an important issue. The humidity of air in the intelligibility of speech have many influences. Therefore, in this paper, we carried out experiment to apply voice signal analysis techniques which to analyze influenced vocal cords in 30%, 50% and 80%, maintaining a constant humidity of the environment. With this in mind, we carried out experiments on intensity and pitch of voice signal on twenty male 20s in maintaining a constant humidity 30%, 50% and 80% of humidity. Finally, we carried out study to draw a significance through statistical analysis measuring characteristic parameter of vocal cord function to change of humidity.

The purpose of this study is to create a program that will revitalize as an autonomous person through dialogue training that integrates reason and emotion when the personality formed as a child does not help life and growth of reality. The research method is to analyze the current personality as five ego states and find a way to correct or complement the result. Study results found a way to complement the external ego states shown in the state to self-activation techniques, The inner part is to achieve autonomy through the change of Trinity, the ultimate goal of change of Transactional Analysis(TA) namely, the change of three abilities: self-awareness, spontaneity, and intimacy. This is the ability to use all the resources of an individual to solve problems, or to make recovery look real.

This study develops and validates an objective scale to measure newspaper use at home by elementary school students and parents. We developed a preliminary scale of 59 items through the review of literature on newspaper use and mediation as well as the examination of content validity by education experts. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. A total of 42 items were supported by 703 parents with students in grades 1-6 using exploratory factor analysis. The model included 3 categories and 9 sub-factors: instruction (modeling, restriction, and text instruction), activities (play activity, conversation, online mediation, and scrap activity), and belief (academic achievement and information acquisition). Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed and validated the model fit; in addition, convergent validity, and discriminant validity, and cross validity was confirmed through correlation analysis by gender comparison and grade comparison. We also verified the validity of this scale through correlation analysis based on Yu and Jung (2012)'s newspaper mediation variables and scale in regards to children's motivation for using newspapers. Finally, internal consistency reliability and half reliability were also confirmed. In conclusion, the suitability and stability of home newspaper utilization scale for elementary students (HNUS-E) were confirmed. This scale provides parents and educators with ideas for the development of the children's literacy, cognitive, and affective domains that can be effectively used in research on newspaper use for school-aged children.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the review of previous studies based on audiobooks, 1) using the IPA method, we examine the quality of audiobooks that listeners perceive as important and the quality of preferred audiobooks, 2) improvement directions for activating audio content and audiobook platform, to seek ways to establish strategic plans for the audiobook market. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted and experiment using three factors(usability, information and interaction) used in web service quality(WebQual). Usability consists of the availability of time, such as the use of audiobooks for hobbies and the ease of search. Information consists of the trends of the times, topics of converation and the latest trends. Interaction consists of the proportion and depth of celebrities. After that, grid analysis was performed using the traditional IPA method and the revised IPA method. It was judged that identifying and analyzing the preference for service provision and new content was more valuable than the Performance used in the existing method. Findings According to the results of the empirical analysis, it was found that the conversation material corresponding to informativity did not affect the audiobook during the online quality analysis. It is believed that improvements can be found through content production related to entertainment, webtoons, and general common sense that can increase listeners' interest. In addition, it was found that the advertising effect of celebrities corresponding to interactivity did not affect the results of this study, which should increase the concentration and immersion of listeners by increasing the technology for audiobooks.

Korean alveolar fricatives are late-developing speech sounds. Most previous research on phonemes used individual words or pseudo words to produce sounds, but word-level phonological analysis does not always reflect a child's practical articulation ability. Also, there has been limited research on articulation development looking at speech production by grammatical morphemes despite its importance in Korean language. Therefore, this research examines the articulation development and phonological patterns of the /s/ phoneme in terms of morphological types produced in children's spontaneous conversational speech. The subjects were twenty-two typically developing 3- and 4-year-old Koreans. All children showed normal levels in three screening tests: hearing, vocabulary, and articulation. Spontaneous conversational samples were recorded at the children's homes. The results are as follows. The error rates decreased with increasing age in all morphological contexts. Also, error percentages within an age group were significantly lower in lexical morphemes than in grammatical morphemes. The stopping of fricative sounds was the main error pattern in all morphological contexts and reduced as age increased. This research shows that articulation performance can differ significantly by morphological contexts. The present study provides data that can be used to identify the difficult context for articulatory evaluation and therapy of alveolar fricative sounds.

This study explored at marital conflict in multicultural families, a type of families formed through international marriages, from husbands perspectives. For the purpose of this study, in-depth interviews were used with husbands in multicultural families to ask about marital conflict, and then, conducted a qualitative case analysis. In summary, results of this study are as follows; First, among the decisive events that husbands in multicultural families often experienced in marital conflict with their wives were disrespect toward husbands and parents-in-law, husbands with a low level of trust, feelings of pressure due to financial support for wives' families and children and lack of practical sense about marriage. Second, development of marital conflict that husbands often experienced included aggravated cultural conflict between a couple and between members of the family, difficulty in managing blame and anger, signs of separation or divorce and wives leaving home and limitations in conversation and communication. Third, as to how husbands tried to deal with marital conflict, they tried to be patient and comfort wives, engage in economic activities together, find something that they could focus on, turn to religion or gatherings, use service from government organizations, have trust and develop rules and limit the range of their wives activities.

The purpose of this study is to specify the quality of I-R-E pattern and question-answer affiliation between students and teacher, depending on teacher's career. This study analyzes 6 classroom discourse texts of 6th grade science class. The results of this study are as follows. First, in the case of a newly appointed teacher, I-R-E pattern is appeared repeatedly. Second, in the case of experienced teachers, expended I-R-E pattern is appeared compare with a newly appointed teacher. Third, in the case of a newly appointed teacher, independence relational structure is appeared more repeatedly than other structures. But, in the case of experienced teachers, all kinds of question-answer structures - independence, parallel, insertion, and reorganization relational structure - are appeared more evenly.
