  • This study combined gatekeeper programs with the information technology to develop the educational smart contents of a suicide prevention program for youth. The study analyzed various evidence-based gatekeeper programs and extracts essential educational elements from these programs in order to apply to the smart contents. Sixteen adolescents participated in a quantitative(pre-post test) study and 8 of them participated in a focus group interview. In addition to youth participants, youth experts were also interviewed to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational smart contents of a suicide prevention program. The results included: (1) higher post-test scores were attained for knowledge of youth suicide; (2) youth participants indicated better understandings of youth suicide and sympathy; (3) on a focused group interview with youth experts, participants also indicated that the program helped youth to interact better with other youth with suicide ideation. They also indicated that this program was user-friendly. Recommendations for further research are also discussed.

  • This study aims to verify the effects of the life redesign educational program based on the baby boomer (11 members of experimental group, 12 members of control group). The program was conducted for two hours two times in a week in the area of Chungnam (Total 8weeks 16sessions). First, in the result of the Wilcoxon's pairs signed-ranks test between the pre-post tests for the analysis on the program effectiveness of the experimental group of baby boomer, the baby boomer of experimental group showed an improved perception of preparing the volunteer work in the perception of preparing their old age, and there was no pre-post significant differences in the control group. In case of the experimental group, perception of the post-retirement preparation, such as a physical preparation, emotional preparation, financial preparation, volunteer work preparation and leisure activities preparation increased in average. Second, the satisfaction for the program's educational process, educational contents, educational data, educational method, instructor and the educational environment were shown to be more than 3.5 points out of 5 points in full.

  • This study was to identify the educational needs for mental health nursing among undergraduate nursing students, prioritizing the areas where require extensive convergence learning via simulation. One hundred and forty students completed the survey where data accrued from between March-May 2020. The educational needs for mental health nursing and nursing care schizophrenia patients were assessed using a self-reporting questionnaire, which included 19 and 15 items, respectively. Additional three essay questions were used to obtain information regarding previous simulation education experience. Higher educational needs in nursing care for schizophrenia were identified and the highest-priority need is communication skills. Factors, including realistic experience with standardized patients, teamwork, and feedback from the lecturers, affect positive experiences in mental health nursing simulation. The findings suggest that educational programs to improve communication skills are necessary for better mental health nursing competency. Well-designed and convergence based simulation programs providing real-like clinical experience would ensure optimal learning outcomes.

  • In this paper, we propose a analysis of electric and electronic's unit in paratical arts and convergence education program to enhance computational thinking. In the current practical arts curriculum of Korean elementary school 6th graders, the 'information' related chapter is Chapter 3. However, educational contents mainly consist of making activities according to the specified manual such as electrical and electronic products, learning about robots, etc. It is very insufficient to develop the computational thinking required by the software-centered society. Therefore, we are to study development of convergence education program of the 'Life and Electricity Electron' unit in practical arts textbook to enhance computational thinking.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop students' creativity and artistic sensitivity by developing a convergence education program that links various subjects, including mathematics, science, and art based on design. Design is done in almost every human activity that pursues beauty and implements cultural value through patterns and images. We have developed three programs for elementary school students and two programs for middle school students, taking into consideration the achievement standards and curriculum content appropriate for the 2015 revised curriculum. It was assessed by a panel of five educational experts during the development and demonstration courses to evaluate the feasibility of the development program. The development program can enhance the design literacy and design sense of elementary and junior high school students and can be used convergent educational contents that can be applied in the free-semester system activities of junior high school. Through this program, adolescents who will lead the future design society will be able to acquire the sense of design, literacy, and design ability as design consumers and producers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study is to analyze the perception of swimming rating system. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, practitioners and leaders of Korean swimming federation were selected as the subjects of the study to institutionalize the grade of swimming. Data analysis was categorized according to word frequency after coding using the Nvivo 12.0 program, and words were visualized using the word cloud program. PASW/WIN 21.0 was employed to analyze demographic characteristics. Triangular verification and expert meetings were conducted three times to increase the validity of the study. In these meetings, the study excluded subjective interpretation and errors of the researcher. Results: First, as a result of analyzing the perception of practitioners before educational training, 16 words and the total frequency of words was 21 times. Second, as a result of analyzing the perception of practitioners after educational training, 22 words and a total of 25 frequencies were found. Third, as a result of analyzing the leader's perception before educational training, 32 words and the total frequency of words was 63 times. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the leader's perception after educational training, 41 words and a total of 72 frequencies were found. Conclusions: Findings indicated divers feelings and thoughts of practitioners and leaders of Korean swimming federations towards swimming rating system. Further implications were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop STEAM program for gifted education by combining educational contents of humanities, arts, engineering, technology, and design into various subjects, focusing on mathematics-science curriculum of elementary school. The achievement standards and curriculum contents of elementary mathematics-science curriculum were analyzed while considering 2015 revised national curriculum. And then, a 16 class-hour convergence education program consisting of 3-hour block time was developed by applying the STEAM model with 4 steps. The validity of the program developed through this process was verified, and four educational experts evaluate whether the program can be applied to the elementary school. Based on the evaluation results, the convergence education program was finalized. As a result of implementing the gifted education program for mathematics-science, students achieved the objectives and values of convergence education such as creative design, self-directed participation, cooperative learning, and interest in class activities (game, making). If this convergence education program is applied to regular class, creative experiential class, or class for gifted children, students can promote their scientific creativity, artistic sensitivity, design sence, and so on.

  • For over 50 years, boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) has been steadily developed for treating various cancers. This is a non-invasive, selective, and targeted radiotherapy wherein boron-rich molecules accumulate at the tumor site. Liposomal vesicles have become a popular and effective drug delivery system for BNCT, with strategies including surface decoration, bilayer integration, and hydrophilic core encapsulation. This review highlights the state-of-the-art uses of liposomes in BNCT and elucidates a new perspective where BNCT can be used with radiotracer guidance in all-in-one delivery systems.

  • This study has developed a medical information management educational program that can improve the management ability of medical information. The educational medical information management program was developed for 8mnths uing VB. The database utilized the ACCESS Database, which allows learners to easily understand and understand the structure of the data. The learners enter data in the discharge analysis and the cancer registration program and the incomplete program after analyze the medical records. After entering and saving data, medical information management programs can be used to understand and analyze the structure of the database to generate medical information. The educational programs can improve the ability of learners to manage medical information by extracting the necessary data from the database directly through SQL and creating various medical information. However, although the medical information management program is an educational program, there is no evaluation system for the learners program operation. Accordingly, the next studies should develop the assessment system of the medical information management program for learners evaluation.

  • Scratch-based programming has come to be known as an effective programming tool because of its graphic instruction modules, which are designed to be assembled like the famous LEGO building blocks. These building block-like structures allow users to more easily program applications without using other more difficult programming languages such as C or Java, which are text-based. Therefore, it poses a good opportunity for application in educational settings, especially in primary schools. This paper presents an effective approach to developing an educational robot for use in elementary schools. Furthermore, we present the method for scratch programming based on the external modules need for the implementation of robot motion. Lastly, we design a systematic curriculum, titled "Play with a Robot," and propose guidelines to using the educational programming language Scratch.
