  • Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) of cobalt gallate were synthesized and deposited on gold electrodes using self-assembly monolayers (SAMs) and hydrothermal processing. These MOF films exhibit strong adsorption capabilities for gaseous particulates, and the use of SAMs allows the synthesis and deposition processes to be completed in a single step. When cobalt gallate is mixed with SAMs, a coordination bond is formed between the cobalt ion and the carboxylate or hydroxyl groups of the SAMs, particularly under hydrothermal conditions. Additionally, the quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) gas sensor accurately measures the number of particulates adsorbed on the MOF films in real-time. Thus, the QCM gas sensor is a valuable tool for quantitatively measuring gases, such as SO2, NO2, and CO2. Furthermore, the QCM MOF film gas sensor was more effective for gas adsorption than the MOF particles alone and allowed the accurate modeling of gas adsorption. Moreover, the QCM MOF films accurately detect the adsorption-desorption mechanisms of SO2 and NO2, which exist as gaseous particulate matter, at specific gas concentrations.

  • $LiFePO_4$ is a promising active material (AM) suitable for use in high performance lithium-ion batteries used in automotive applications that require high current capabilities and a high degree of safety and reliability. In this study, an optimization of the electrode design parameters was performed to produce high capacity lithium-ion batteries based on $LiFePO_4$/graphite electrodes. The electrode thickness and porosity (AM density) are the two most important design parameters influencing the cell capacity. We quantified the effects of cathode thickness and porosity ($LiFePO_4$ electrode) on cell performance using a detailed one-dimensional electrochemical model. In addition, the effects of those parameters were experimentally studied through various coin cell tests. Based on the numerical and experimental results, the optimal ranges for the electrode thickness and porosity were determined to maximize the cell capacity of the $LiFePO_4$/graphite lithium-ion batteries.

  • The field of synthetic biology has emerged in response to the ongoing progress in the life sciences. Advances have been made in medicine, farming, eating, making materials, and more. Synthetic biology is the exploration of using living organisms to create new organisms. By manipulating specific genes to express targeted proteins, proteins can be created that are both productive and cost-effective. Solid-phase extraction (SPE) and liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) are employed for protein separation during the production process involving microorganisms. This study centers on Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) to showcase its utility in the food industry and food management. SPE is predominantly utilized as a pretreatment method to eliminate impurities from samples. In comparison to LLE, this method presents benefits such as decreased time and labor requirements, streamlined solvent extraction, automation capabilities, and compatibility with various other analytical instruments. Anion exchange chromatography (AEC) utilizes a similar methodology. Pharmaceutical companies utilize these technologies to improve the purity of biopharmaceuticals, thereby guaranteeing their quality. Used in the food and beverage industry to test chemical properties of raw materials and finished products. This exemplifies the potential of these technologies to enhance industrial development and broaden the scope of applications in synthetic biology.

  • Demand is increasing rapidly in recent years than supply to machine learning professionals. To alleviate this gap, user-friendly machine learning software that can be used by non-specialists has emerged, which is Machine Learning-as-a-Service(MLaaS). MLaaS provides services that enable businesses to easily leverage ML capabilities without expertise. In this paper, we will compare and analyze features, interfaces, supporting programming language, ML framework, and Machine Learning services of MLaaS, to help companies easily use ML service.

  • As the fourth industrial revolution era, lots of new convergence products are being launched but most of them are disappearing due to intense competition. In particular, small and medium-sized businesses(SMBs) don't have a lot of management capabilities, so they focus on performance and quality rather than considering specific marketing strategies when planning a product. However, if the strategy isn't included when new convergence products are planned, it can be difficult to enter the initial market and mainstream market. In this paper, we examined the risk factors that may occur in the process of transition from the initial market to the mainstream market, from chasm marketing perspective. Through this analysis, to launch new convergence product and go beyond chasm at the same time, we have analyzed the chasm marketing and social network perspective, and then suggested four marketing strategies. When SMBs make new convergence product enter into mainstream market, these marketing strategies will be favorable to them which want to position at the dominant advantage of the market in the fierce competition.

  • In the school field, AI convergence education is recommended, which utilizes AI in education to change the paradigm of society. This study was conducted to define the terms of AI and AI convergence education to minimize the confusion of terms and to analyze the educational needs of teachers from the perspective of conducting AI convergence education. To achieve the purpose, 19 experts' opinions were collected, and a self-administered questionnaire was administered to 125 secondary school teachers enrolled in the AI convergence major at the Graduate School of Education. As a result of the analysis, the experts defined AI convergence education as a methodology for problem solving, not AI-based or utilization education. In the analysis of teachers' educational needs, "AI and big data" was ranked first, followed by "AI convergence education methodology" and "learning practice using AI". The significance of this study is that it defined the terminology by collecting the opinions of experts amidst the confusion of various terms related to AI, and presented the educational direction of AI convergence education for in-service teachers.

  • In order to continue to grow in response to the rapidly changing industrial environments, companies must retain technological innovation capabilities and enhance market competitiveness. When competition is intensifying for creating new businesses and developing new products through technology commercialization, creating and utilizing technology convergence performance is an important means to create new competitiveness. However, there has been a lack of effort to systematically understand the level of technology convergence performance of the enterprise and to understand its relationship with management performance. In this paper, we develop a new analytical index by segmenting the technology convergence into patent variety, balance and disparity using patented IPC code information based on the concepts presented in existing diversity studies. In addition, 4,522 patents granted for three years between 2013 and 2015 by 219 KOSDAQ companies belonging to the domestic ICT convergence industry were analyzed to demonstrate that the level of technology convergence performance is positively related to sales growth rate in 2016.
