PAS부품의 공정개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Forming Process of Power Assisted Steering Part)

  • The conventional and new forging processes of the power steering worm blank are analyzed by the rigid-plastic finite element method. The conventional process contains three stages such as indentation, extrusion and upsetting, which was designed by a forming equipment expert. Process conditions such as reduction in area, semi-die angle and upsetting ratio are considered to prevent internal or geometrical defects. The results of simulation of the conventional forging process are summarized in terms of deformation patterns, load-stroke relationships and die pressures for each forming operation. Based on the simulation results of the current three-stage, the power steering worm blank forging process for improving the conventional process sequence is designed. Die pressures and forming loads of proposed process are within limit value which is proposed by experts and the proposed process is found to be proper for manufacturing the power steering worm blank.

  • In this paper we propose an angular rate and acceleration matching method for initial transfer alignment in aircraft. The conventional angular rate and acceleration matching method performs compensation for the lever arm effects between the master and slave INS before initial alignment. However, the conventional method does not take the flexure angular acceleration into account and thus is not effective when the flexure angular acceleration is large. We propose a new angular rate and acceleration matching method to cope with the flexure acceleration between the master and slave INS and compare the results with those of the conventional method by simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed matching method is better than the conventional matching method in case of large flexure acceleration.

A Novel Channel Estimation Method for OFDM under Rayleigh Fading Channel

  • Conventional channel estimation methods for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system don't show the good characteristics in terms of fast fading channels. To solve this drawback in conventional methods, we propose the channel estimation method fur OFDM, assisted pilot for improvement and convergence in mobile system (APIM), which has a good performance and computational complexity in consideration of other methods. APIM uses the more developed concept of conventional methods and a block frame structure within a whole channel. This concept prevents overall performance from diverging or showing a poor one. The simulation results demonstrate the APIM outperforms pilot symbol assisted modulation (PSAM) and extended symbol aided estimation (ESAE) in terms of mean square error (MSE) and bit error rate (BER) performance under all Rayleigh fading environment. Considering the simulation performance and computational complexity, we can see APIM shows better characteristics than conventional methods for OFDM and has not any error floor even in a fast Rayleigh fading environment.

다중의 협대역 간섭 신호에 대한 AGC Applebaum어레이의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of AGC Applebaum Array for Multiple Narrowband Interference)

  • An adaptive array system can effectively remove all received interferences by using adaptive algorithms even though the received signal condition is not known. The conventional adaptive array systems, however, cannot remove all interferences adaptively and converge very slowly when the eigenvalue spread of the input covariance matrix is large. In the paper, a new adaptive array system called an automatic gain controller (AGC) Applebaum array and its control algorithm are proposed to overcome the performance degradation of conventional Applebaum array in multiple interference conditions. The performance analysis of the proposed AGC Applebaum array is described under the condition of multiple narrowband interferences. Simulation results show the array output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the AGC Applebaum array increases by 30dB compared to that of the conventional Applebaum array in the simulation condition. The gain of the AGC Applebaum array in the incident direction of a weaker interference is also shown to be lower than that of the conventional Applebaum array.

초고해상도 양전자 방출 CT의 쐐기형 검출기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wedge shape Detector of Very High Resolution Positron Emission computer Tomography)

  • 양전자 방출 CT에서는 고해상도를 얻기 위해서 즙은 폭의 검출기와 충분히 큰 검출효률이 동시에 요구된다. 검출기의 폭을 수 mm까지 줄이면 검출기준이 급감소하고 누설률이 급상승하여 이를 사용함이 인난하여진다. 특히 사각으로 입사하는 포톤의 경우 후각하다. 이를 해결하는 방법으로 쐐기형 검출기를 제안하였고 이에 관련된 문제들을 탐구하였다. 4∼8mm BGO 검출기의 쐐기형을 사용한 시스템이 종미 요육양체형을 사용한 시스템보다 해상도가 증가하였다. 예를들면 회 8mm의 BGO 검출기 200개를 난제하게 배치한 시스템이 이점 샘플링할 경우 쐐기형의 해상도가 5.4mm FWHM으로 같은 조건의 직육면체형의 6.6mm FWHM보다 향상됨을 시뮬레이션으로 확인하였다. 3∼7mm FWHM의 초고해상도 시스템의 검출기에 대하여 형태와 크기에 따른 특성도 시뮬레이션으로 구하여 제시하였다. The high resolution of positron emission tomography, in particular, requires the use of detector crystals of narrow width but still with sufficiently high detection efficiency. If the crystal width is reduced to several millimeters, degradation of detection efficiency and leakage coefficient becomes significant, particularly in case of obliquely incident photons. Alleviation of such a problem can be made possible by modification of the detector shape from the conventional rectangular type to a wed농e type. The Proposed wedge shape makes the absorption length longer for obliquely incident photons, thus increasing the detection efficiency and suppressing leakage coefficient. For the BGO detectors of 4-8mm width, the computer simulation result of the system using wedge detectors reveals resolution improvement to the system using conventional detectors. For the system composed of 200 BGO detectors of 8mm width with 2 point sampling motion, the simulation resolution system using conventional detectors. For the very high resolution system of 3-7mm FWHM, the characteristics of the detector shape and size is studied by computer simulation.

Design of a smart MEMS accelerometer using nonlinear control principles

  • This paper presents a novel smart MEMS accelerometer which employs a hybrid control algorithm and an estimator. This scheme is realized by adding a sliding-mode controller to a conventional PID closed loop system to achieve higher stability and higher dynamic range and to prevent pull-in phenomena by preventing finger displacement from passing a maximum preset value as well as adding an adaptive nonlinear observer to a conventional PID closed loop system. This estimator is used for online estimation of the parameter variations for MEMS accelerometers and gives the capability of self testing to the system. The analysis of convergence and resolution show that while the proposed control scheme satisfies these criteria it also keeps resolution performance better than what is normally obtained in conventional PID controllers. The performance of the proposed hybrid controller investigated here is validated by computer simulation.

  • RMQC, rail mounted quay crane, lifts and moves large container by means of hoist and trolley motion on the dock. Our company is trying to develop advanced RMQC applying the concepts of elevator hoist and container conveyer for the automation and high efficiency in handling the boxes. Prior to the development of new products, it is necessary to check the capacity of conventional crane for reference. The program simulates container-handling rates and gives some design factors for the conventional cranes.

공진형 인버터의 개성에 관한 연구 (A Study on teh Improvement of Resonant Inverter)

  • In this paper the conventional resonant inverters are compared and a novel parallel resonant dc pulse inverter for high performance motor drive system is proposed. The design method and related equations for the novel resonant inverter are derived. Also, a current controller for the resonant inverter is proposed and compared with PI current controller of the conventional PWM inverter by analog simulation. The novel resonant inverter and the current controller are implemented to verify the suggested design principles. The analog simulation and the experimental results shown the satisfactory operation of the proposed inverter and the controller.
