  • 사용자 인터페이스 기술은 사용자의 선택에 따른 UI를 적용할 수 있는 기술로 최근 사용자 편리를 위한 인터페이스에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이를 위해 W3C에서도 다양한 디바이스 환경에서 N-스크린 서비스, 일관된 서비스 제공 및 사용자의 선호도에 따른 UI 적응 서비스를 지원하기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 사용자의 편의를 위한 UI를 개발하는 데 있어 기본적인 모델 기반의 사용자 인터페이스 기술에 대해 연구하였다. 이는 웹 응용 어플리케이션 적용 방안 기술 확보 및 차세대 웹 어플리케이션을 적용하는데 활용될 것이다.

사물함 개폐 관리 시스템 연구 (A Study on Locker Management System)

  • This paper proposes a system for convenient remote control and management of the lockers with a smart phone. The key features of the proposed system are as follows. First, we connect the lockers to the server and then use the authentication procedure to open and close their lockers. Second, we create instant lockers to increase convenience for users who need to use casual necessities. Unlike traditional analog methods, we finally develop certification procedures. Particularly, log data are better secured than traditional ones. The performance assessment of the proposed system is simulated by producing a dummy model. We will show that the proposed system could effectively support opening and closing the lockers using smart phones.

  • 일반적인 WBI가 제공하는 공간 속에서 하이퍼미디어 기술을 도입하여 학습자가 학습에 대한 선택의 자유를 가지며, 또한 자기 나름대로 학습의 평가하는 개별화 교수-학습 환경을 제공한다. RC2 시스템은 기본적으로 클라이언트-서버 모델이며, LCPG 모델을 기반으로 하는 학습진행 및 학습평가 알고리즘을 제공하고 학습자 개개인의 특성에 맞는 동적인 재학습 메커니즘을 제시한다. 또한 웹을 통한 코스웨어 저작자인 교사에게 편리한 인터페이스를 제공하기 위한 학습 에디터를 지원한다.

저출산 대책의 가족영향평가 연구 (Family Impact Analysis on the Policies to Low Fertility in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct a family impact analysis to examine the effects of policies to lower fertility in families in Korea. Data were collected from a purposive sample of three groups of government officials, family scholars, and staff at family-related organizations and associations. 105 family policy professionals responded to the self-report questionnaire. The family impact analysis scale was formulated by the researcher based on Ooms'(1995)'A checklist for assessing the impact of policies on families' and Lawson & Lawson's(2001)'An example on family impact analysis checklist or inventory.' The results showed there were eight factors in the family impact analysis on the policies to low fertility in Korea; strengthening family membership and stability; providing various convenient public services; recognizing family interdependence; recognizing the efficiency of implementing policies and support of vulnerable families; strengthening the family function of childbirth; recognizing family relationships; preventing family problems and empowering families; and recognizing family diversity. The conclusions and implications of these findings were also discussed.

  • In software system development, an application interface is the main communication platform between human developers and applications. Interaction in any software application requires human's mental and physical activities. Although software systems have increased drastically in diverse sectors and many forms to quench human's needs and satisfactions, human always concern about the ease in usability of the software application so that it can be easily understood and navigated. Since many software developers still focus on the quantity of contents instead of the quality of the interface from the user's point of view, it is important to address human factors need in the early stage of the design and to continue addressing them during the entire stages of the software design for the persistent support of usability. In this paper, we propose the Modified Prototype Model (MPM), which helps the software designers and developers to design user-friendly software systems with easy-to-navigate interfaces by uncovering human factors in a convenient way. Moreover, we propose methods that assist to identify more human factors regarding software design. In this paper, we also study the implications of the proposed model and the proposed methods.

  • Network technology has been developed for very high-speed networking and multimedia data whose characteristics are the continuous and bursty transmission as well as a large amount of data. With this trend users wish to view the information about the application services as well as network devices and system hardware. However, it is rarely available for the users the information of performance or faults of the application services. Most of information is limited to the information related network devices or system hardware. Furthermore, users expect the best services without knowing the service environments in the network and there is no good way of delivering the service related problems and fault information of application services in a high speed network yet. In this paper we present a web-based application management system that we have developed for the past year. It includes a method to build an agent system that uses an existing network management standards, SNMP MIB and SNMP protocols. The user interface of the system is also developed to support visualization effects with web-based Java interface which offers a convenient way not only to access management information but also to control networked applications.

  • Ubiquitous sensor network (USN) is composed of many sensor nodes which are one of the simplest form of embedded system. In developing the sensor network system, a debugging tool is necessary to test and verify the system. Recently, a so-called packet analyzer has been developed for this purpose, and it supports IEEE 802.15.4 which is considered as the standard for the sensor network protocols. The major function of the packet analyzer is to take RF packets from sensor nodes and show the structure and the data of the packets graphically to the user. However, the conventional packet analyzers do not support remote control because they require a USB interface along with a personal computer. To make it available for remote control, we propose a new packet analyzer based on a server-client scheme in which a server program is implemented on embedded Linux and a client program is implemented on Windows for convenient use.

학업을 병행하는 임상간호사의 전문직 자아개념, 자기효능감 및 직무만족도 (Professional Self-concept, Self-efficacy and Job Satisfaction of Clinical Nurse in Schoolwork)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction of clinical nurse in schoolwork. Method: Data was collected from convenient sample of 407 nurses in 3 cities. The questionnaire measured the level of professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction of clinical nurse in schoolwork. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, partial correlation. Result: The mean score of professional self-concept was 2.83(${\pm}.34$) self-efficacy was 3.64(${\pm}.31$), job satisfaction was 3.12(${\pm}.38$). There were significant differences on three variables according to age, a clinical career, level of education. There was a significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and self-efficacy, job satisfaction. The self-efficacy was a significant positive correlation with job satisfaction. Conclusions: From the studies reviewed, it can expect the positive effect to improve the self-efficacy, professional self-concept and job satisfaction when the nurses who have continuous education and organizational support. These findings would be important resource to nurse administrators for clinical implication.

일본 초등학교 교사동 내외부의 영역별 계획 특성에 관한 연구 -1990년대 이후 최근 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on the Planning Characteristics of Contemporary Japanese Elementary Schools)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning characteristics of contemporary Japanese elementary schools. Fifteen schools, that have new planning trends or design ideas have been selected and analyzed. The planning characteristics of schools identified by plan analyses are summarized as follows. First, space programs of schools are diverse, especially in support facilities, gymnasiums and auditoriums. These spaces can be used by community members. So it is assumed that needs of communities are reflected in space programs of schools. Second, various types of unit learning spaces consisting of multipurpose spaces and classrooms embodied in case schools tell the differentiation in the structure of unit learning spaces. Third, grouped with gymnasiums or auditoriums, special instructional spaces constitute community zones where school facilities are open to public. Fourth, replacing the monotonous circulation systems by corridors, multipurpose hall-type space organization systems make surrounding spaces more activated and complex and the multipurpose hall itself becomes the central part of schools. Finally, outdoor spaces are designed to have convenient access and approach zones to school precincts are linked with city street.

SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) 전용 저작도구의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the SMIL Authoring Tool)

  • SMIL은 XML을 기반으로 한 선언적 마크업 언어로서, 멀티미디어 개체들의 상호 유기적인 동기화로 워 상에서 효과적인 멀티미디어 표현을 가능하게 한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 통한 언어인 SMIL을 이용하여, 웹 멀티미디어 문서를 직관적으로 작성하고, 생성된 정보를 다양하게 활용 가능하게 하는 SMIL전용 저작도구를 설계 및 구현하였다. 문서의 생성, 관리, 저작 모듈뿐만 아니라, 일반 사용자에게 손쉬운 멀티미디어 표현(Presentation)의 저작을 제공하기 위하여 인터넷 망이 대역폭에 따른 템플릿 인터페이스를 제공하였고, SMIL 컨텐츠 데이터베이스 서버와의 연동으로 다수사용자를 위한 SMIL문서 관리 기능을 구현하였다.
