Active Control of Vibrational Intensity at a Reference Point in an Infinite, Elastic Plate (무한 탄성 평판상의 기준점에 전달되는 진동인텐시티의 능동제어)

  • In this paper, active control of vibrational intensity at a reference point in an infinite, elastic plate was discussed. The plate is excised harmonically by a vibrating source, which has a vertical point force. The optimal condition of controller was investigated to minimize the vibrational intensity being transmitted from the vibrating source to a reference point. Hence the method of feedforward control was employed for the control strategy and then the cost function was evaluated to find the optimal control force. Three types of control force (Vertical force, Moment, and Coupling force (a set of vertical force and moment) ) and controller's positions were examined to define the optimal condition of the controller. The vibrational intensity at a reference point was found to be reduced down to a zero level, compared with the uncontrolled case. Especially maximum reduction of vibrational intensity was achieved when the controller was collinearly positioned between a vibrating source and a reference point.

  • The trend of information service and its utilization has been gradually evolving due to the technological breakthrough in IT industries and the spread of smart phones. Especially regarding smart phones, a vast array of applications are being developed and employed for the purpose of providing real time information. Recently, numerous studies have been made and applied in regards to the efficient management and the supply of cadastral control point information. This research has developed and applied the NFC Cadastral Control Point, an advanced version of QR code Cadastral Control Point, which is installed and utilized in Dong-gu Ulsan, Korea, and an application that can utilize both the QR code and the NFC. In addition, this research continues on to analyzing the utility of the two methods that the survey use of a General Cadastral Control Point and the NFC Cadastral Control Point. Having implemented both methods, NFC Cadastral Control Point outweighed its counterpart in terms of the damage it gets from the outside influence and availability. Moreover, through developing Cadastral Control Point that could apply both the QR code Cadastral Control Point and NFC Cadastral Control Point, the research saw tremendous improvements compared to the survey method using the previously existing reference point performance. The results conveyed the fact that cadastral information application was time saving, convenient, and efficient in terms of finding information. Henceforth, with government's administration over Cadastral Control Point and with the development of more application for providing information, a nation-wide monitoring of Cadastral Control Point is considered possible and an efficient usage of information service is expected as well.

  • A three-level inverter is widely used thanks to its excellent performances, but the voltage may fluctuate at the neutral point of the split DC-Link. Neutral point voltage fluctuations cause inverter performance degradation and switching element damage, so the neutral point voltage control is essential. However, the neutral point control can be also limited by modulation index and power factor. This paper analyzes the limitation of the neutral point voltage control due to the limitation of zero-sequence voltage, and suggests a method to determine the region where the PWM has to be changed for a better neutral point control.

  • In the point-to-point motion on servo system, the control mode which minimizes the performance index including, the impact of end point, time and energy, is proposed. The proposed control mode applied to the feed-back control system of D.C motor and then had a computer simulation. This control mode had less the impact of end point, stedy state error, time and energy than the bang-bang or the saturating- proportional control mode.

  • In this paper, we applied a three-level T-type inverter with the one more voltage level than two-level inverter. However, the three-level T-type inverter has a systematic problem with voltage unbalances. So neutral point control is essential. Therefore, the voltage unbalance problem of the three - phase inverter was confirmed to be controlled within 5V using the neutral point control algorithm in charge and discharge mode. In addition, total harmonic distortion was reduced in three phases (u phase, v phase, w phase) when neutral point control was performed in charging mode and also in three phases (u phase, v phase, w phase) in discharge mode. In this paper suggests a neutral point control algorithm to solve the voltage unbalance of a three-level T-type inverter, and shows the improvement of the performance of the proposed algorithm through experiment.

  • DSPs used at motor control are usually fixed point processor. They need scaling because they cannot excute floating point calculation. Scaling for floating point calculation makes the DSP's speed down, complex coding and etc. Therefore the IQ math is adopted. IQ math makes the fixed point processor possible to calculate the floating point math. In addition, IQ math can reduce memory usage and be more faster than that without IQ math. It seems that IQ math is appropriate in motor position control. In comparison of the position calculation between the IQ math, math function and the sine table, the method using IQ math is superior than other methods.

  • In common fixed point problems in metric spaces several versions of weak commutativity have been considered. Mappings which are not compatible have also been discussed in common fixed point problems. Here we consider common fixed point problems of non-compatible and R-weakly commuting mappings in probabilistic semimetric spaces with the help of a control function. This work is in line with research in probabilistic fixed point theory using control functions. Further we support our results by examples.

  • In this paper, we have implemented UPnP Devices which emulate a Control Point, a Light Controller, and a Digital TV. The Control Point has been developed on Linux host system by using C language. The UPnP Devices emulating the Digital TV and Light Controller are running on embedded linux developer board. For the development of UPnP Devices, UPnP SDK API Vl.04 made by Intel Co. Ltd. has been ported on Assabet Linux Reference board to implement the UPnP protocol. After we analyze and design some services of Digital TV device, we have applied UPnP Device program to those devices. UPnP SDK vl .04 consists of APIs which support HTTP, SSDP, SOAP, GENA and XML DOM Level-1 that are cores of UPnP protocol. The C program written for the UPnP Control Point has been compiled and executed on Linux-based PC. The embedded system running on Embedded Linux OS has been connected all together through Ethernet which allows IP-based communications. Under this environment, the UPnP programs are being executed on each device. Control Point, when in operational mode, discovers UPnP Devices on the network and displays the device list on the consol. By selecting one of the functionalities of the device services that are displayed on the Control Point, the controllability has been accomplished. The experiment that we performed in this thesis have revealed that the Control Point and UPnP Devices have supported the protocols including SSDP, SOAP, GENA, and DHCP.

Extraction of Ground Control Point (GCP) from SAR Image

  • A ground control point (GCP) is a point on the surface of Earth where image coord inates and map coordinates can be identified. The GCP is useful for the geometric correction of systematic and unsystematic errors usually contained in a remotely sensed data. Especially in case of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, it has serious geometric distortions caused by inherent side looking geometry. In addition, SAR images are usually severely corrupted by speckle noises so that it is difficult to identify ground control points. We developed a ground point extraction algorithm that has an improved capability. An application of radargrammetry to Daejon area in Korea was studied to acquire the geometric information. For the ground control point extraction algorithm, an ERS SAR data with precise Delft orbit information and rough digital elevation model (DEM) were used. We analyze the accuracy of the results from our algorithm by using digital map and GPS survey data.

Design of a Curtailed-SPRT Control Chart (단축-축차관리도의 설계)

  • This paper proposes a curtailed-sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) control chart. For using the conventional SPRT control chart, the number of items inspected in a sampling point should have no restriction since items in a sampling point are inspected one by one until an SPRT Is terminated. The number of observations taken in a sampling point, however, has an upper bound since sampling and testing of an item is time-consuming or expensive. When the sample size reaches the upper bound without evidence of an in-control or out-of-control state of a process, the proposed chart makes a decision using the sample mean of all observations taken in a sampling point. The properties of the Proposed chart are obtained by a Markov chain approach and the performance of the chart is compared with fixed sample size (FSS) and variable sample size (VSS) control charts. A comparative study shows that the proposed chart performs better than VSS control charts as well as conventional FSS control charts.
