테라헤르츠파를 이용한 풍력터빈 블레이드 NDE 탐상 평가기법 (NDE Inspecting Techniques for Wind Turbine Blades Using Terahertz Waves)

  • Terahertz waves (T-ray) was extensively studied for the NDE (nondestructive evaluation) of characterization of trailing edges for a use of turbines composed with composite materials. The used NDE system were consisted of both CW(Continuous wave) and TDS (Time domain spectroscopy). The FRP composites were utilized for two kinds of both trailing edges of wind energy (non-conducting polymeric composites) and carbon fiber composites with conducting properties. The signals of T-ray in the TDS (Time domain spectroscopy) mode resembles almost that of ultrasound waves; however, a terahertz pulse could not penetrate a material with conductivity unlike ultrasound. Also, a method was suggested to obtain the "n" in the materials, which is called the refractive index (n). The data of refractive index (n) could be solved for the trailing edges. The trailing edges were scanned for characterization and inspection. C-scan and B-scan images were obtained and best optimal NDE techniques were suggested for complicated geometry samples by terahertz radiation. Especially, it is found that the defect image of T-ray corresponded with defect locations for the trailing edges of wind mill.

Composite components damage tracking and dynamic structural behaviour with AI algorithm

  • This study discusses a hypothetical method for tracking the propagation damage of Carbon Reinforced Fiber Plastic (CRFP) components underneath vibration fatigue. The High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) behavior of composite materials was generally not as severe as this of admixture alloys. Each fissure initiation in metal alloys may quickly lead to the opposite. The HCF behavior of composite materials is usually an extended state of continuous degradation between resin and fibers. The increase is that any layer-to-layer contact conditions during delamination opening will cause a dynamic complex response, which may be non-linear and dependent on temperature. Usually resulted from major deformations, it could be properly surveyed by a non-contact investigation system. Here, this article discusses the scanning laser application of that vibrometer to track the propagation damage of CRFP components underneath fatigue vibration loading. Thus, the study purpose is to demonstrate that the investigation method can implement systematically a series of hypothetical means and dynamic characteristics. The application of the relaxation method based on numerical simulation in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Evolved Bat (EB) strategy to reduce the dynamic response is proved by numerical simulation. Thermal imaging cameras are also measurement parts of the chain and provide information in qualitative about the temperature location of the evolution and hot spots of damage.

초기 영구 전치 파절시의 치아 재부착술의 임상 증례 (CLINICAL EFFORTS FOR TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENT IN TOOTH FRAGMENTATION)

  • 본 증례는 경희대학교 치과대학병원 소아치과학교실에 상악 중절치의 치수노출을 동반한 외상을 주소로 내원한 아동의 치험례이다. 증례 1은 미성숙 치근을 가지는 만 8세의 남아로 치아의 치수 노출에 따른 수산화칼슘 치수절단술을 이용한 치근단 형성술을 시행한 후 치아 재부착술을 시행한 증례이며, 증례 2는 점상의 치수노출을 보이는 미성숙 영구 중절치를 직접 치수 복조 추 석회화 층을 형성하는 기간동안 레진을 이용하여 유지한 후 치아 재부착술을 시행하였고 증례 3은 치은 연하로 치경부 파절을 보이는 만 12세의 환아로 신경치료 후 골 삭제술과 골 성형술을 동반한 판막술을 시행하여 carbon fiber post를 이용한 치아 재부착술을 시행한 증례이다 이상의 증례를 통하여 치아 재부착술을 성공적으로 시행하였으며 심미적으로 양호한 결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다.

Stereo-digital image correlation in the behavior investigation of CFRP-steel composite members

  • The application of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) in steel structures primarily includes two categories, i.e., the bond-critical application and the contact-critical application. Debonding failure and buckling failure are the main failure modes for these two applications. Conventional electrometric techniques may not provide precise results because of the limitations associated with single-point contact measurements. A nondestructive full-field measurement technique is a valuable alternative to conventional methods. In this study, the digital image correlation (DIC) technique was adopted to investigate the bond behavior and buckling behavior of CFRP-steel composite members. The CFRP-to-steel bonded joint and the CFRP-strengthened square hollow section (SHS) steel column were tested to verify the suitability of the DIC technique. The stereo-DIC technique was utilized to measure continuous deformation. The bond-slip relationship of the CFRP-to-steel interface was derived using the DIC data. Additionally, a multi-camera DIC system consisting of four stereo-DIC subsystems was proposed and applied to the compressive test of CFRP-strengthened SHS steel column. The precise buckling location and CFRP delamination of the CFRP-strengthened SHS steel column were identified. The experimental results confirm that the stereo-DIC technique can provide effective measurements for investigating the behaviors of CFRP-steel composite members.

혐기성 암모늄 산화 반응기 내 붉은색 입상슬러지의 미생물 군집구조 분석 (Analysis on the Microbial Community Structure of Red Granule in the Anaerobic Ammonium Oxidation Reactor)

  • 본 연구소에서는 혐기성 입상슬러지를 충진한 UASB 반응기와 탄소섬유를 충진한 배양기를 조합하여 아주 느린 성장특성을 가진 혐기성 암모늄 산화균의 배양을 시도하였다. 연속배양 180일 이후, 유입질소부하가 0.6 kg $N/m^3-d$였을 때, 평균 질소전환율은 0.54 kg $N/m^3-d$로 나타났다. 검은 혐기성 입상슬러지는 연속배양시간이 지남에 따라 갈색과 붉은 색으로 변화되었으며, anammox 반응기는 붉은색 입상슬러지가 많을수록 높은 활성도를 나타내었다. 따라서, 붉은색 입상슬러지를 채취하여 분자생물학적 방법을 이용하여 미생물 군집구조를 분석하였다. 클로닝 및 계통분류학적 분지도 작성 결과, anammox UASB 반응조의 붉은색 입상슬러지에서 발견된 미생물 종류는 anammox 미생물과 더불어 문단위의 4가지 다른 미생물, Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Chlorobi와 Chloroflexi로 나타났다. Anammox UASB 반응조내의 붉은색 입상슬러지에서는 clone의 개수를 기준으로 anammox 미생물이 약 25%가 존재하였고 $\beta$-proteobacteria가 우점하고 있는 양상을 보여주었으며, 본 연구의 클로닝 정보와 AMX368 FISH 탐침자를 이용해 in silico 실험을 수행한 결과 AMX368과 정확히 들어맞는 anammox 미생물 clone 하나와 하나의 염기서열이 변이를 일으킨 11개의 anammox 미생물 clone을 확인할 수 있었다. 사상균 형태의 Chloroflexi는 혐기조건 입상 슬러지의 형성과 관련이 있는 것으로 판단되었다. FISH 수행결과, anammox 미생물은 붉은색 입상 슬러지에 우점하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
