The Effects of SNS Characteristics on Purchase Intention

  • Purpose - This study investigated not only social network service (SNS) characteristics' effects on continuous use intention and reliability, but also the effects of continuous use intention and reliability on purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects comprised 274 SNS users in their twenties. The research was conducted over three weeks from October 16, 2013 to November 6, 2013, using questionnaires. A total of 267 copies were collected; 255 copies were used after excluding unsuitable copies. Results - Marketers who used SNSs should establish a bi-directional community and SNS page information exchange. SNS marketers should exchange useful information quickly through SNS pages, to differentiate themselves from competitors. Enterprises should use SNSs for marketing, considering not only continuous use intention but also reliability, to elevate product purchase intention. Conclusions - The study had limitations. Most subjects were students aged 24 to 28 years; the findings cannot be generalized. Second, personal computers (PCs) and smartphones had similar influence. Third, the preferences and/or characteristics of each SNS type were not reflected in marketing.

모바일 IPTV 서비스의 지속적인 이용의도에 대한 영향요인 (Influencing Factors of Continuous Use Intention of Mobile IPTV Service)

  • As smartphones and tablets are drastically spreading, mobile IPTV service becomes very important emerging issue in addition to existing DMB broadcasting, and the consumption of personalized multimedia services is increasing in the mobile Internet environment. While the previous research focuses on influencing factors of the initial acceptance intention of the mobile IPTV Service, this study intends to find the factors that affect continuous use intention of the mobile IPTV service which has become one of core services in the mobile environment. The research model and the hypotheses of this study could be derived on the basis of four referent theories (that is, mobile service quality model (MOBISQUAL), post acceptance model (PAM), expectation confirmation theory (ECT) and extended technology acceptance model (ETAM)). In order to empirically test the hypotheses, the field survey was conducted for 278 respondents. Twelve ones of fifteen hypotheses were found to be statistically significantly adopted from the results of structural equation model analyses using Smart PLS 3.0. The theoretical contribution of this study is to empirically investigate the factors that affect the continuous use intention of mobile IPTV service. And the practical contribution is to provide the implementation guidelines of managing the service quality to enhance the competitive power of mobile IPTV business.

메타버스 관련 자기결정성이 내적 동기를 통해 지속적 이용 의도에 미치는 영향: 구성원 신뢰의 조절 효과 (The Effects of Metaverse Related Self-determination on Intention to Continuous Use Through Intrinsic Motivation: Moderating Effect of Member Trust)

  • 코로나19는 사회 구성원 간의 대면 네트워킹 활동을 최소화하는 것을 강요하고 있으며, 구성원들은 온라인 플랫폼 사용을 높이고 있다. 특히, 현실감을 강화한 가상 커뮤니티인 메타버스에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 사용자 관점에서 메타버스의 지속적 활용 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이에, 연구는 자기결정성 이론을 활용하여 메타버스 사용자의 지속적 이용 의도 향상에 미치는 매커니즘을 제시하고, 메타버스 구성원 간의 신뢰가 자기결정성과 동기 간의 관계를 조절하는 것을 확인한다. 연구는 메타버스를 사용한 경험이 있는 사람들을 대상으로 설문을 통해 353개의 표본을 확보하였으며, 구조방정식모델링을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 메타버스에 대한 개인의 자기결정성이 동일시, 즐거움과 같은 내적 동기를 형성하여 지속적 이용 의도에 영향을 주었으며, 메타버스 구성원 신뢰가 부분적으로 자기결정성과 동기간의 관계를 조절하였다. 연구의 결과는 메타버스 지속적 이용 의도 향상을 위한 사용자 및 환경 차원의 접근 방향을 제시함으로써, 메타버스 플랫폼의 지속성을 위한 전략 수립에 기여 한다.

  • In recent years, Social Network Service (SNS) have increasingly gained popularity and have simplified and amplified social interaction between online users. This paper mainly discusses the user satisfaction and intention of continuous use. Based on the literature review, two hypotheses were developed and research model is built for testing. Data was collected through questionnaire survey from 260 SNS college student user. The empirical results shows a significant mediating effect for user satisfaction in the relationship between SNS' quality factors and intention to continued use.

The Influence of Ginseng Cultivating Farms' Characteristics on the Attitude and Intention to adopt GAP

  • As the consumers' anxiety for food increases, the interest in food safety also increases. To satisfy the public requirement on food safety, the government is trying to set up a food safety standard by using regulations and certification systems. However, there is still difficulty in building up complex traceability systems for medicinal crops including ginseng due to the low participation of farming industries. The purpose of this empirical research is to draw factors that impede the GAP adoption of ginseng farms. By comparing the average attitude and intention to adopt the ginseng farms' depending on its characteristics through a two-tailed test, it was drawn that continuous farming education can positively influence the GAP adoption of the ginseng farms.

온디맨드(On-Demand) 서비스의 지속사용의도에 대한 경험가치 효과 (Effects of Experiential Value on Continuous Use Intention for On-Demand Services)

  • On-Demand services have emerged as one of the core business strategies for delivering new experiential values by providing customized services in different user-needs nowadays. Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework, this paper focuses on the factors of environmental stimulation and emotional states of the demand-side that induce continuous intention of use from the On-Demand services. The study defines 'Informativeness', 'Fulfillment', 'Trust', and 'Convenience' as the properties of the On-Demand services and considers 'Playfulness', 'Customer Return on Investment (CROI)', and 'Service Excellence' as the aspects of the experiential values. The research shows that 'Fulfillment', 'Trust' and 'Convenience' affected the experiential value in 'Kakao Taxi (On-Demand transportation service)' while 'Informativeness', 'Fulfillment', 'Trust of platform', and 'Convenience' are represented as the related factors to the experiential value in 'Baedal Minjok (On-Demand food delivery service)'. The experiential value factors, 'CROI' and 'Service Excellence', are shown directly related to the continuous intention of use in both services. A partial mediation relationship is, furthermore, observed between the aspects of 'CROI' and 'Service Excellence' in Kakao Taxi and its 'Convenience' and 'Continuous intention of use.' In Baedal Minjok, a partial mediation relationship is found between the 'CROI' with its aspects of 'Trust of the platform', 'Convenience', and 'Continuous intention of use' as well. The results of this study may contribute a comprehensive understanding of the purpose of On-Demand services and its needs from the demand-side thus can be helpful for the supply-side.

Continuous usage intention of social media as an online information distribution channels

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore the variables that may play a significant role in inducing Facebook users to use Facebook as online information distribution channels continuously. Research design, data, and methodology: The population of this study are all Facebook users who have actively used Facebook as a social media as online information distribution for at least one year. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study and 290 respondents were enrolled. The data was collected using a questionnaire and further analyzed with path analysis and SEM-PLS approach. Result: The results showed that perceived ease of use, perceived critical mass, perceived enjoyment, and perceived information intelligence have a positive and a significant effect towards perceived usefulness. Perceived usefulness also has a positive and significant effect on users' attitude, and users' attitude has a positive and significant effect on intentions to use Facebook continuously among its users. Conclusions: Hence, it is important for Facebook as an online information distribution channel to maintain its perceived usefulness in order to create a positive impact on its users' and induce Facebook users' to use social media continuously.

통신서비스 웹사이트 정보불균형이 지속이용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Information Asymmetry of Telecommunication Service Websites on Intention for Continuous Usage)

  • The communications market can be characterized for its overflow of users, oligopoly business structure, 24/7 open service, incomplete sales, and operation of core platform function. These characteristics have lead users to continuously make complaints and suffer inconveniences, and thus the concept of user protection has come to receive attention. This study aims to propose solutions through communication channeling between businesses and users, based on website construction from the viewpoint of user protection. In particular, a research model was developed to display how the information symmetry of websites can be influential on the satisfaction, reliability, and continuous intention for using communication services. Total of 14 hypotheses were set to measure a significant degree of variables corelation and eight hypotheses were accepted finally. The analysis results showed that information symmetry of telecommunication service websites had a positive effect on intention for continuous usage. Through the research results, it is expected that communication service businesses will be able to consider important factors when constructing websites. Furthermore, the results are expected to be utilized as for ensuring users' continued usage of their communication services.

  • 팬데믹 사태는 사회구성원들의 행동 방식을 급격히 변화시키고 있다. 대표적으로, 바이러스의 강력한 전염력은 현실 세계에서 사람 간의 교류 행동을 최소화하는 것을 요구하고 있으며, 사람들은 온라인 활동을 통해 대처하고 있다. 온라인 내 활동 및 경험에 대한 현실적 느낌이 강조되면서, 3D 기술 중심의 실재감 역량을 강화한 메타버스가 중요한 교류 도구로서 인식되고 있다. 본 연구는 메타버스를 도입하고자 하는 스타트업 등 기업의 관점에서 사용자의 메타버스 이용 조건을 제시함으로써, 비즈니스 모델 확립에 도움을 주고자 한다. 세부적으로, 본 연구는 이용과 충족 이론을 활용하여 메타버스 사용자의 이용 동기를 제시하고, 메타버스가 제공하는 기술 기반의 실재감과 개인의 특성(규범 대인 민감성)이 메타버스 사용자의 이용 및 충족 조건을 어떻게 강화하는지를 확인한다. 본 연구는 메타버스를 경험한 20세 이상의 사람에게 설문을 수행하였으며, 확보된 314개의 표본을 적용해 AMOS 22.0과 Process 3.1 툴을 활용하여 연구 가설을 검증하였다. 가설 검증 결과, 메타버스 실재감(원격 실재감, 사회적 실재감)이 메타버스 이용 및 충족 요인(정보성, 즐거움, 사회적 상호작용성)을 높여 지속적 이용 의도를 강화하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 개인의 규범적 대인 민감성이 즐거움과 사회적 상호작용성이 지속적 이용 의도에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 조절하는 것을 확인하였다. 연구 결과는 메타버스 관련 기업의 사용자 맞춤형 비즈니스 모델 수립을 위한 다각적 전략수립에 도움을 준다.

  • 최근, 조직 내 중앙집중식 콘텐츠관리 체계 구축을 위한 기술적 투자가 많아지고 있다. 하지만, 높은 품질의 기술 도입은 역으로 구성원들의 기술 스트레스를 발생시켜 부정적 행동을 발생시킬 가능성이 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 기업콘텐츠관리시스템 관련 기술 스트레스의 지속적 이용 의도에 미치는 부정적 영향을 제시하고, 기술 스트레스 완화 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구는 콘텐츠관리 기술을 도입한 조직의 구성원에게 설문하였으며, 구조방정식모델링을 적용하여 가설 검증을 하였다. 분석 결과 기업콘텐츠관리시스템 관련 기술 과부하와 복잡성이 지속적 이용 의도를 감소시켰지만, 조직 내 사내 커뮤니케이션 활동이 기술 스트레스를 완화시켰으며, 개인의 업무-기술 적합성이 기술 스트레스와 지속적 이용 의도에 대한 조절 효과를 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 연구는 콘텐츠관리시스템의 이용에 있어 부정적 영향을 미치는 측면을 최소화하기 위한 조직 차원의 노력 요인을 제시한 측면에서 시사점을 가진다.
