In this paper, design of framework architecture of pervasive computing system providing seamless inter space interactions between private and public smart spaces is presented. The seamless inter space interaction issues are related to establishing user's service environment by allocating relevant resources in a new location where there are no prior settings for the user or where there are current users already being served in the new location. In the realm of pervasive computing, we can have different types of smart spaces, offering proactive and intelligent services, which are islands of smart spaces independent from each other. As users move about, they will have to roam from private smart space to public smart space and vice versa. When they enter a new island of smart space, they will have to setup their devices and service manually to get the same or different services they had at the previous location. Users might be living in a non-pervasive computing environment because this manual operation is inappropriate to its generic features of proactive and intelligent services of pervasive computing. The framework architecture will provide seamless inter space interactions initiated by changes in users' location to acquire negotiations of resources for new and current residents regarding service provision with limited available networked devices.

이동하면서도 디지털 방송을 볼 수 있는 모바일 TV가 세계에 보급되기 시작하였다. TV 또는 HDTV와 같은 대화형 데이터 서비스를 제공 하기 위해서 데이터 표현, 전송 및 처리가 아주 중요하다. 특히 제한된 대역폭과 낮은 성능의 단말과 같은 모바일 방송통신 환경에서 오디오, 비디오, 이미지 등의 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공 받기 위해서는 효율적으로 전송 및 적응형 데이터 서비스 기술이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 논문에서모바일 환경에서 사용자 중심으로 비디오서비스 대한 미들웨어 기술을 효율적으로 개발하기 위하여 사용자 환경상황인식(Usage Environment), 개인화(Personalization)를 위한 데이터 수정 및 처리 기술, 사용자 중심으로 맞춤형 적응 서비스 미들웨어 UP-SAM(User Personalization Context-Aware Service Adaptation Middleware) 모델을 제안한다.

IT 기술의 발달과 함께 일상생활 속에서 사용자 편의와 감성을 충족하기 위한 기능을 제공하는 다양한 스마트 제품과 서비스가 확산되고 있다. 특히 빠르게 발전되고 있는 입출력 기술과 센싱 기술, 자능형 시스템 등은 다채로운 인터랙션 방식과 새로운 사용자경험 가능성을 열어가고 있다. 본 연구는 다양한 기술요소들의 활용을 사용자 관점에서 고려해야 하는 스마트 제품 컨셉 디자이너들의 아이디어 발상 단계에 대한 관심에서 시작되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 스마트 제품의 아이디어 발상 단계에서 활용할 수 있는 인터랙션 디자인 프레임웍을 제안하는 것으로, 디자이너들이 기술 기반의 스마트 제품 아이디어를 보다 체계적으로 도출하는 방안을 시도하였다. 이를 위해 먼저, 문헌조사를 통해 스마트 제품의 개념과 특징, 그리고 스마트 제품 인터랙션 구현을 위한 기술 및 제품 요소들을 파악하였고, 디자인 분야에서 제안되어온 프레임웍 선행 사례를 조사하였다. 이를 바탕으로 스마트 제품의 인터랙션 디자인 프레임웍을 제안하였으며, 프레임웍 구성요소들이 스마트 제품 아이디어 발상 단계에 어떻게 적용될 수 있을지 사례를 통해 설명하였다. 본 연구의 결과로서 제안한 프레임웍은 제품 구성요소, 상황인식 관련 요인, 정보입력 요인, 피드백 출력 요인 네 가지 카테고리로 구성되며, 각각에 있어서 사용자경험 관점을 반영한 세부요소들이 정의된다. 또한 각 세부요소 별로 기존에 있는 스마트 제품/시스템의 예시가 제시되어 어떤 요소인지 이해하기 쉽도록 정리되었으며, 제품 아이디어 사례를 통해 아이디어 발상 지원 도구로서의 프레임웍 활용성이 검토되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 보다 다양하고 심도있는 사례연구를 통해 각 요소들의 조합에 따른 다양한 아이디어를 제안함으로써, 스마트 제품의 인터랙션 아이디어 발상 도구로서의 가능성을 검증할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

정보 통신 및 인공지능 기술의 발전은 우리 군의 지휘통제체계의 지능화를 요구하며, 이를 달성하기 위해 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 특히, 지휘통제 워크플로우에서 활용 가능한 정보의 양이 폭발적으로 증가함에 따라 지휘통제체계 사용자에게 제공되는 정보 중 수행 업무에 가장 핵심적인 정보를 제공할 수 있는 협업 필터링(Collaborative Filtering, CF) 및 추천 시스템(Recommendation System, RS)에 주목한다. 군 지휘통제체계에서 정보의 필터링을 수행하는 RS는 가장 우선 설명 가능한 추천을 수행하여야 하며, 그 다음 지휘관들이 임무를 수행하는 다양한 상황을 고려한 추천이 수행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 지휘통제 워크플로우를 지원하기 위하여 정보를 선택적으로 추천하는 contextual pre-filtering CARS 프레임워크를 제안한다. 제안된 프레임워크는 1) 지휘결심자의 상황 및 관계에 기반하여 데이터를 사전에 필터링하는 contextual pre-filtering, 2) CF의 취약한 데이터 희소성 문제를 극복하기 위한 피쳐 선택, 3) 피쳐 간의 디스턴스를 사용자의 유사도 산출에 활용한 CF, 및 4) 사용자의 선호를 반영하기 위한 규칙 기반 포스트 필터링의 4 단계로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구의 우수성을 평가하기 위해서 상용 수준의 실험 데이터셋 2종에 대해 기존 CF 방법의 다양한 디스턴스 방법을 적용하여 비교 실험하였다. 비교 실험 결과 제안된 프레임워크가 3가지 평가지표(MAE, MSE, MSLE) 측면에서 우수함을 나타내었다.

Since a large amount of multimedia image has dramatically increased, it is important to search semantically relevant image. Thus, several semantic image annotation methods using RDF(Resource Description Framework) model in mobile environment are introduced. Earlier studies on annotating image semantically focused on both the image tag and the context-aware information such as temporal and spatial data. However, in order to fully express their semantics of image, we need more annotations which are described in RDF model. In this paper, we propose an annotation method inferencing with RDFS entailment rules and user defined rules. Our approach implemented in Moment system shows that it can more fully represent the semantics of image with more annotation triples.

The information available on the Internet has become widely used, primarily due to the ability of Web based E-Commerce and M-Commerce Retrieval Engines to find useful information for users. However, present day Commerce Retrieval Engines are far from perfect because they return results based on simple user keyword matches without any regard for the concepts in which the user is interested. In this thesis, we design and evaluate a Recommender system for web context aware based information retrieval using user profiles. Also, we designed personalization framework in ubiquitous environment based both e-commerce and m-commerce and presented the interaction of user profile including User XQuery pattern in semantic web.

Ad hoc network is a multi-hop wireless network formed with non-infrastructure. With the development of mobile and wireless environments, the Ubiquitous era has com on the base of technologies of Semantic Web and Web Services. To accelerate proliferation of the E-Commerce in the Ubiquitous era, the importance of information search is emphasized more and more and its time to need more intelligent search for product and service which can consider location and other context-aware related information. As a starting point to meet these requirements, we proposed more effective product information search service framework through web services under semantic web environment. Over the wireless internet and we also examined its technical validity with the prototype system, implemented prototype and investigated the technological possibility.

인간은 주위 환경으로부터 정보를 추론하여 이러한 환경정보를 이용하여 효율적인 의사소통을 한다. 그러나 현재의 컴퓨터가 인간이 사용하는 방식으로 환경정보를 이용하는 것은 어려운 일이다. 따라서 컴퓨터가 환경 정보를 수집, 추론, 활용하기 위해 환경문맥-인식 컴퓨팅 개념이 연구되고 있다. 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션은 환경정보를 감지하고, 사용자의 특별한 인지 작용 없이 애플리케이션의 행동을 환경정보에 따라 변경함으로써, 인간중심의 서비스를 제공한다. 현재까지의 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션 개발의 문제점은 환경정보를 사용하기 어렵고, 환경정보를 감지하는 것이 어렵다는 것이었다. 따라서 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션을 위한 기존의 많은 프레임워크들은 이러한 문제점을 극복하지 못했다. 즉, 대부분의 프레임워크들이 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션의 발전에 기여하였지만, 이동환경 및 인터넷 컴퓨팅 환경에서 여러 종류의 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션이 공통적으로 사용할 수 있는 일반화된 프레임워크 개념을 제시하지 못하였다. 본 노문은, 이동환 경과 인터넷 컴퓨팅 환경에서 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션을 위한 프레임워크를 제안한다. 또한 제안한 프레임워크를 이용하여 Jini와 인터넷 기술을 이용하여 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션이 OASIS(Office Application Service for Intelligent Systems)를 구현하고 있다. 이것은 이동환경에서 환경문맥-인식 애플리케이션 개발에 효과적이고 적합한 메커니즘을 제공한다.

The progress of mobile computing technology is bringing a large amount of multimedia contents such as image. Thus, we need an image retrieval system which searches semantically relevant image. In this paper, we propose a semantic image annotation and retrieval in mobile environments. Previous mobile-based annotation approaches cannot fully express the semantics of image due to the limitation of current form (i.e., keyword tagging). Our approach allows mobile devices to annotate the image automatically using the context-aware information such as temporal and spatial data. In addition, since we annotate the image using RDF(Resource Description Framework) model, we are able to query SPARQL for semantic image retrieval. Our system implemented in android environment shows that it can more fully represent the semantics of image and retrieve the images semantically comparing with other image annotation systems.
