  • 네덜란드의 TU Delft에서는 컨텍스트 매핑 연구(Context mapping study)를 통해 사용자의 경험을 자연스럽게 얻어 낼 수 있는 방법을 제안해 왔다. 그러나 이 방법은 서양권에 있는 사용자들을 중심으로 연구 결과가 발표되었으며, 한국인이 대상이 된 논문에서는 일반인을 대상으로 한 실험 참여의 적극성 부족이라는 한계를 드러내었다. 본 사례 연구는 컨텍스트 매핑(Context mapping)을 한국 사용자들에게 실험설계를 하며, 이 전 연구들에게서 발견되었던 소극적 자기 표현 특성을 어떻게 개진할 수 있는지 연구하였다. 특히 컨텍스트 매핑(Context mapping)의 센시타이징(sensitizing) 단계에서 한국 사용자들에게서 발견되었던 사용자 조사 방법의 한계점을 다소 극복할수 있는 하나의 방안으로 제시할 수 있는 가능성이 발견되었다.

Transition of Archival Description from ISAD(G) to Record in Context Conceptual Model (ISAD(G)에서 RiC-CM으로의 전환에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the RiC-CM (Records in Context-Conceptual Model) draft of the International Council on Archives Expert Group on Archival Description (ICA EGAD) was analyzed, mapped with the descriptive elements of ISAD(G), and the archival description of the record group based on RiC-CM was piloted. This was done to identify trends in the archival descriptive standards and to derive considerations in relation to improving existing descriptive standards. The mapping types of RiC-CM and ISAD(G) include inter-attribute mapping, attribute-entity mapping, and attribute-relation mapping. In addition to the mapping between descriptive elements, a frame for the archival information that can construct a record through the objects, attributes, and relationships of RiC-CM is constructed using the protege, and the example data is inputted for trial. As a result, it was possible to express most of the existing descriptive information of ISAD(G) through RiC-CM. In addition, in RiC-CM, the recording descriptive information is classified in detail, and the characteristic of browsing the relation between individual objects is enhanced.

  • Our study explores the connection between the Pythagorean theorem and the Fixed-point theorem in metric spaces. Both of which center around the concepts of distance transformations and point relationships. The Pythagorean theorem deals with right triangles in Euclidean space, emphasizing distances between points. In contrast, fixed-point theorems pertain to the points that remain unchanged under specific transformations thereby preserving distances. The article delves into the intrinsic correlation between these concepts and presents a novel study in Euclidean metric spaces, examining the relationship between contraction mapping and Pythagorean Right Triangles. Practical applications are also discussed particularly in the context of image compression. Here, the integration of the Pythagorean right triangle paradigm with contraction mappings results in efficient data representation and the preservation of visual data relation-ships. This illustrates the practical utility of seemingly abstract theories in addressing real-world challenges.

A Study on Concept Mapping of the Citizen-initiative (주민주도성에 관한 개념도(Concept Mapping) 연구)

  • The citizen-initiative has been frequently mentioned in community building project which is being promoted by Seoul City. The citizen-initiative has become an important concept in the direction of community welfare efforts. However, this concept has not been defined clearly in social welfare. In this context, the purpose of this study is to find how the practitioners of the social welfare practice field recognize the concept of citizen-initiative. In this study, concept mapping method was used to generate 59 statements about the citizeninitiative in 10 social workers in Seoul. Multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis are used to do mapping and grouping the 59 statements. The results are as follows. A total of 6 categories were derived. The six categories are named "Inducement of Participation", "Practice", "Procedure", "Awareness and Interest extension", "Expression of Opinion", "Attitude and Emotion". "Practice" category was revealed as a core category in the concept of citizen-initiative. This study is meaningful as a first step to discuss "what is the citizen-initiative?" and to make consensus in social welfare academic area and practice field.

The urban biotope mapping and a building of biotope information system as a specialized tool of urban ecological landscape planning (도시지역 생태복원계획의 핵심토대로서 도시소생물권 도면화작업과 정보시스템 구축방법론 개발에 관한 연구 -대구시를 사례지로-)

  • There are numerous plant and animal species which are adapted to the conditioins of the urban environment. The objectie of landscape and nature conservation in cities can be considered as the perservation of these organisms as the basis for a direct contact between urban dwellers and the landscape elements. However, after 1980 in Korea, green and biotope oases started to develop in the center of the urban area, from which the surrounding population benefited, at least indirectly. Thus urban biotope mapping and biotope informatioin system as a specialized tool of urban ecological landscape planning will make clear the orientation for the preservation of species and renaturalizing measures. The results are as follows : 1) Biotope types in the study area were separated to 21 biotope. 2) The written description of the biotopes took place on the computerized forms. The basis for the uniform inclusion and description of all biotopes surveyed was a codeplan. Additional details were included on the urban biotope mapping. 3) The evaluation of the mapped biotopes was completed to the following aspect, namely " species diversity and biotope conservation value" and "nature experience value". 4) UBM and BIS represent an important basis for decision aid for the city administration within the context of the ecological urban and landscape planning process. 5) The methodology of UBM and BIS in this study area could be extended to whole urban area.to whole urban area.

Exploration of the dimensionality of Iran's trade show performance and application of R-IPA (이란 전시회 성과요인 탐색 및 무역박람회에 수정된 중요도-성취도분석 (R-IPA) 적용 방안)

  • This study aims to identify the dimensions of trade show performance in Iranian trade shows and apply the revised importance-performance analysis. The IPA method integrates two types of indirect importance and a composite I-P mapping using traditional four-quadrants, as well as a diagonal line on a two-dimensional grid. Based on the analysis results, this study presents several suggestions to contribute to the development of the trade show industry. First, it is noted that the dimensionality of trade show performance in a developing country context can be different from that of prior literature. Taking different industry development stages of a show hosting countries, examining the dimensions of each trade show performance with every effort to derive proper exhibitors' implications is necessary. Second, the use of statically-derived importance is recommended while considering respondents' convenience to reduce their time and fatigue when collecting data at the busy booths. Further, applying composite I-P mapping is suggested as an effective diagnostic tool to provide optimal trade show strategies for the exhibitors under the dynamic and ever-changing global business environment.

Visual SLAM using Local Bundle Optimization in Unstructured Seafloor Environment (국소 집단 최적화 기법을 적용한 비정형 해저면 환경에서의 비주얼 SLAM)

  • As computer vision algorithms are developed on a continuous basis, the visual information from vision sensors has been widely used in the context of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), called visual SLAM, which utilizes relative motion information between images. This research addresses a visual SLAM framework for online localization and mapping in an unstructured seabed environment that can be applied to a low-cost unmanned underwater vehicle equipped with a single monocular camera as a major measurement sensor. Typically, an image motion model with a predefined dimensionality can be corrupted by errors due to the violation of the model assumptions, which may lead to performance degradation of the visual SLAM estimation. To deal with the erroneous image motion model, this study employs a local bundle optimization (LBO) scheme when a closed loop is detected. The results of comparison between visual SLAM estimation with LBO and the other case are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

  • Let M be a finitely generated module over a regular local ring (R, n). We will fix an n-stable filtration for M and show that the minimal free resolution of M can be obtained from any filtered free resolution of M by zero and negative consecutive cancellations. This result is analogous to [10, Theorem 3.1] in the more general context of filtered free resolutions. Taking advantage of this generality, we will study resolutions obtained by the mapping cone technique and find a sufficient condition for the minimality of such resolutions. Next, we give another application in the graded setting. We show that for a monomial order ${\sigma}$, Betti numbers of I are obtained from those of $LT_{\sigma}(I)$ by so-called zero ${\sigma}$-consecutive cancellations. This provides a stronger version of the well-known cancellation "cancellation principle" between the resolution of a graded ideal and that of its leading term ideal, in terms of filtrations defined by monomial orders.

A Preliminary Study for Mapping Pedestrian Spaces in the City - Based on Pedestrian Traversability in Open Space - (현대도시 보행공간의 시각화를 위한 기초연구 - 외부공간의 보행자 통행 가능성 판별기준을 중심으로 -)

  • There has been various pedestrian-friendly planning for making walkable cities. However, the representation of urban pedestrian spaces that should be the basis of the pedestrian-friendly planning tends to be far from reality. This is due to the absence of a consensual way to represent pedestrian spaces in the city. In this context, this study aims to propose a method to properly represent pedestrian spaces. For this purpose, this study first reviews the patterns of representing pedestrian spaces appearing on city maps and examines their merits and limits. After that, the criteria of pedestrian traversability and the mapping method are proposed on a trial basis for representing pedestrian spaces. Then, applying this to the case sites, Mokdong and Euljiro, this paper demonstrates how the operation of representing pedestrian spaces works. It is expected that the results of this study would be used as the basic foundation for a more developed representation of effective pedestrian-friendly planning.

A Study in the Efficient Collection and Integration of a Sensed Data in a Cloud Computing Environment (클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 센싱된 데이터의 효율적 수집 및 통합에 관한 연구)

  • The sensor network-based service collects data by using the sensor, the data is aware of the situation via the analysis, and the service provider provides a service suitable for the user via the context-awareness. However, this data is generated, it is difficult to match the metadata and standard units. The data integration is required to use the data generated by the different specifications of the sensor efficiently. Accordingly, in this paper we propose a method using an ontology as a method to integrate the data generated by the existing sensors and the new sensor. The ontology is mapping to the standard item and sensors, also include a type and structural difference. The mapping is comprised of two:data mapping, and metadata mapping. There are standard items that are created in this way, type of data exchange between services. This can solve the heterogeneous problem generated by sensors.
