Improved Post-Filtering Method Using Context Compensation

  • According to the expansion of smartphone penetration and development of wearable device, personal context information can be easily collected. To use this information, the context aware recommender system has been actively studied. The key issue in this field is how to deal with the context information, as users are influenced by different contexts while rating items. But measuring the similarity among contexts is not a trivial task. To solve this problem, we propose context aware post-filtering to apply the context compensation. To be specific, we calculate the compensation for different context information by measuring their average. After reflecting the compensation of the rating data, the mechanism recommends the items to the user. Based on the item recommendation list, we recover the rating score considering the context information. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we use the real movie rating dataset. Experimental evaluation shows that our proposed method outperforms several state-of-the-art approaches.

An Analysis of Choice of Compensation Structures in Korean Technology Licensing from Abroad

  • Studies on compensation structures of international technology licensing show that the level of intellectual property protection in the host market and the favorableness of the host country's economic environment are positively related to the use of running royalty-based compensation structure. Lump-sum fee or fixed royalty compensation is more likely to be used in the introduction and decline stages of the technology life cycle, and running royalty compensation in the growth stage. The international experience and the size of the licensor company are positively related to the use of running royalty. In this theoretical context, this paper analyzes the choice of compensation structures in Korean technology imports. The paper uses the officially reported data to analyze the compensation structures. It analyzes the characteristics of the compensation structures in terms of fixed royalty and running royalty by licensor country, group of licensor countries and size of licensee companies.

소방공무원 행정종합배상공제 사례 및 문제점 - 구급사례 중심으로 - (Cases and problems of comprehensive administrative compensation deduction for firefighters: focused on emergency medical service case)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the necessity of administrative compensation insurance and claims cases during the emergency medical service process among administrative compensation insurance cases and suggests problems and improvement measures. Methods: We compared the details of administrative compensation insurance claims of 15 cities and provinces, excluding Seoul and Kwangju, from 2017 to 2020 by requesting details disclosure of the comprehensive deduction for administrative compensation in 17 cities and provinces across the country. Results: A total of 69 cases were compensated through the administrative comprehensive compensation deductions. There were 53 cases of damage that occurred at the field stage, 14 cases at the transfer and hospital stage, and two other cases. Conclusion: The 119 paramedics, which are the perpetrators, should be active in field activities and free from the psychological pressure caused by increased workload and litigation. Active compensation administration is required for damage cases occurring in the firefighting activities context.

무손실 영상 압축을 위한 컨텍스트 기반 적응적 예측 부호화 방법 (Context-based Predictive Coding Scheme for Lossless Image Compression)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 방향성에 따른 적응적 예측 기법과 컨텍스트 기반 엔트로피 부호화 방법을 주요 구성요소로 한 무손실 영상 압축 방법을 제안한다. 적응적 예측 기법에서는 부호화 픽셀을 중심으로 각 방향에 대한 상관도를 분석하고, 이를 이용하여 적절한 예측 픽셀을 선택한다. 또한 예측 에러를 더욱 줄이기 위하여 주변 픽셀의 복잡도 및 방향성을 이용한 컨텍스트 모델 기반 예측 에러 보정 과정을 수행한다. 정보이론의 관점에서 조건부 엔트로피에 의해 부호화 효율이 더욱 향상된다는 점을 이용하여 본 논문에서는 엔트로피 부호화 방식으로 컨텍스트 기반 Golomb-Rice 부호화를 적용한다. 실험결과 제안한 무손실 영상 압축 방식은 다양한 영상에 대해서 기존의 저 복잡도 및 고효율의 JPEG-LS에 비해 평균 1.3%의 압축효율 향상을 나타내었고, 특히 방향성이 뚜렷한 영상에 대해서 성능이 좋음을 알 수 있다.

위치추적을 위한 UWB 센서 튜닝 및 상황인지형 서비스에의 응용 (Ultra-Wide Band Sensor Tuning for Localization and its Application to Context-Aware Services)

  • 본 논문은 UWB 센서를 이용한 위치인식 시스템의 구현 및 실험결과와 상황인지형 서비스 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 정확한 위치측정을 위해 UWB 센서의 경사도(pitch), 편주(yaw), 센서 개수, tag 높이 등의 변화에 따른 위치인식 오차를 측정하여 각 변수의 설정 방법을 실험하였다. 이를 이용한 응용으로 상황인지 기술에 바탕한 지능형 헬스트레이닝 관리 시스템 구현하였다. 지능형 헬스 트레이닝 관리 시스템은 헬스장에서 피 훈련자의 위치와 장비의 사용 상태를 인식하여, 적절한 훈련 스케줄을 피 훈련자에게 제공하며, 그에 따른 훈련 장비들의 사용법을 PDA를 통해 안내한다. 상황인지형 서비스의 제공을 위해서는 사용자의 위치와 이동 정보에 대한 오차 보정이 요구되어 사용자의 이동하는 속도를 이용한 위치 보정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 실험 결과는 제안된 보정 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 이 알고리즘이 적용하지 않았을 때에 비해 오류 데이터가 30% 정도 감소하였다.

치과위생사의 자기결정성동기가 직무열의에 미치는 영향 및 보상 만족도의 조절효과 (Effect of Self-determination Motivation on Job Engagement and the Moderating Effect of Compensation Satisfaction in Dental Hygienists)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was two-fold: to identify the effect of dental hygienist's self-determination motivation on their job engagement and to analyze the moderating effect of compensation satisfaction that affect the relevance. Methods : Data were collected using a structured self-report questionnaire administered to 260 dental hygienists working in dental hospitals and clinics in Busan, South Korea. These were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26.0 and SPSS Process Macro 3.5. A frequency analysis, including the respondents' general characteristics, frequency, percentages, and standard deviations, was performed. A regression analysis was also performed using SPSS Process Macro to verify the moderating effect of compensation satisfaction in the effect of self-determination motivation on job engagement. Results : The self-determination motivation of the dental hygienists had a statistically significant positive effect on their job engagement, which was the dependent variable. Higher intangible compensation satisfaction levels led to a stronger effect of intrinsic motivation but a weaker effect of extrinsic motivation on job engagement. Moreover, higher tangible compensation satisfaction levels strengthened the effect of intrinsic motivation on job engagement. Conclusion : Recently, the demand for oral health care has been increasing, Competition in the dental medical service market warrants, high-quality dental services based on accurate diagnosis and treatment. In this context, dental hygienists' job engagement must be improved. For this purpose, increasing the satisfaction of dental hygienists with self-determination motivation and appropriate compensation is effective. In addition, attention must be paid to the moderating effect of compensation satisfaction on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and job engagement. On the basis of the implications of this study, the results can be used as basic data for improving dental hygienists' welfare system and manpower management.

한국프로농구 기업의 임금수준과 임금격차가 구성원의 생산성과 조직성과에 미치는 영향: 한국프로농구를 중심으로 (The Effects of Compensation and Pay Dispersion on Organizational Productivity and Performance: The Case of Korean Professional Basketball Teams)

  • 제한된 자원을 보유한 기업이 내재한 조직역량을 효율적으로 운영하여 성과를 극대화하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. 하지만, 국내 벤처기업 및 이러한 속성을 지닌 기업이 조직 내의 구성원들에게 지급하는 임금이 어떠한 과정을 통하여 조직성과에 영향을 주며, 어떤 상황에서 그 효과가 극대화될 수 있는지에 관한 연구는 찾기 힘든 실정이다. 기존 연구의 한계를 보완하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 임금과 조직 구성원의 생산성이 조직 내 임금격차의 수준에 따라 조직성과에 미치는 영향이 달라질 것이라는 가설을 세우고 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 분석하기 위해 벤처기업과 조직의 구조, 자본 및 인적자원의 규모나 운영방식 등 많은 부분에서 유사한 특징을 지닌 한국프로농구(KBL) 리그에 속한 10개 구단의 9개 시즌(2013~2014시즌 - 2021~2022시즌)의 팀 연봉 및 경기기록과 관련한 자료를 체계적으로 수집하여 실증분석을 시행하였다. 본 연구의 분석을 위해 프로세스 매크로 58번의 조절된 매개효과 모형이 적용되었다. 실증분석 결과, 한국프로농구팀의 (1) 팀 연봉은 구성원의 성과와 정(+)의 관계를 지니고, (2) 임금격차와 구성원의 성과는 U자형의 비선형 관계가 존재한다. 또한, (3) 구성원의 생산성은 한국프로농구팀의 연봉과 조직성과의 정(+)의 관계를 매개하며, (4) 임금격차는 팀 연봉이 조직성과에 미치는 간접효과를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 비교적 객관적으로 조직성과를 측정할 수 있도록 계량화되어 있고 조직 구성원의 생산성과 조직성과가 표준화되어 있어 시계열 데이터로 구축할 수 있는 프로스포츠 데이터를 활용하였다. 벤처기업과 기업 규모의 측면에서 매우 유사한 프로스포츠팀의 임금이 어떤 방식으로 구성원의 생산성과 조직성과에 영향을 미치며 그 효과가 어떻게 극대화될 수 있는지에 대해 실증적으로 분석하여 기존의 논의를 확장하였다는 측면에서 의의가 있다.

Work-Related Stress Risk Assessment in Italy: A Methodological Proposal Adapted to Regulatory Guidelines

  • Background: Work-related stress is one of the major causes of occupational ill health. In line with the regulatory framework on occupational health and safety (OSH), adequate models for assessing and managing risk need to be identified so as to minimize the impact of this stress not only on workers' health, but also on productivity. Methods: After close analysis of the Italian and European reference regulatory framework and workrelated stress assessment and management models used in some European countries, we adopted the UK Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) Management Standards (MS) approach, adapting it to the Italian context in order to provide a suitable methodological proposal for Italy. Results: We have developed a work-related stress risk assessment strategy, meeting regulatory requirements, now available on a specific web platform that includes software, tutorials, and other tools to assist companies in their assessments. Conclusion: This methodological proposal is new on the Italian work-related stress risk assessment scene. Besides providing an evaluation approach using scientifically validated instruments, it ensures the active participation of occupational health professionals in each company. The assessment tools provided enable companies not only to comply with the law, but also to contribute to a database for monitoring and assessment and give access to a reserved area for data analysis and comparisons.

성공적 노화와 선택과 보상 책략에 의한 최적화의 질적 연구: 사회 활동 참여 노인을 중심으로 (A Qualitative Study on Successful Aging and Optimization by Selection and Compensation Strategy: Focusing on the Social Activity Elderly Participants)

  • This study aimed to identify the dimensions of successful aging, as perceived by elderly Koreans, and to test qualitatively the elders' optimization of selection and compensation strategies in a social activity context. The results were as follows: First, the most important part of life fulfillment and regret was family and work. Second, social activity played a role in self-actualization and physiological needs. Moreover, it contributed to the elders' physical and mental health maintenance. Third, the elderly effectively participated in social activities by optimizing their selection and compensation strategies. Fourth, the elderly realized they are growing old, but considered it as a natural process. In addition, some participants suggested retirement age should be raised, but others were against this idea. Finally, elders thought successful aging means having a sufficient and independent life in old age. Thus, the elderly required good health, economic security, and a positive attitude for aging successfully.
