This paper attempts to discuss the complex nature of social contexts regarding English language education in Korean middle school and to demonstrate the affective factors that should be considered to find appropriate approaches within the context. To do this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 85 middle school students regarding learners' motivation, and attitudes toward EFL learning. Additionally, teachers in secondary school were asked about the general circumstances of English language education. Findings indicate that in spite of the participants' high instrumental motivation, they rather show a negative attitude toward English learning. This paper intends to raise practitioners' attention to the fact that the effect of learners' affective variables on EFL learning seems distinctive depending on the host country's EFL contexts.

본 연구는 정보기술 혁신 과정에 작용하는 환경, 기업, 기술 특성을 바탕으로 기업간 전자상거래 도입을 결정하는 요인을 고찰하였다. 분석 결과 기업간 전자상거래 도입기업과 미도입 기업을 유의하게 구분하는 요인은 거래당사자 영향력, 인지된 이익, 경영층 지원, 조직전략, 조직특성으로 나타났다. 따라서 기업에서 B2B EC가 성공적으로 도입되어 확신되기 위하여 B2B EC 도입기업과 미도입 기업의 차이를 구분하는 B2B EC 도입 결정요인을 충분히 반영하여 기업 전략을 수립해야 할 것이다.

Gene expression is regulated in large part at the level of transcription under the control of sequence-specific transcriptional regulatory proteins. Therefore, the ability to affect gene expression at will using sequencespecific artificial transcription factors would provide researchers with a powerful tool for biotechnology research and drug discovery. Previously, we isolated 56 novel sequence-specific DNA-binding domains from the human genome by in vivo selection. We hypothesized that these domains might be more useful for regulating gene expression in higher eukaryotic cells than those selected in vitro using phage display. However, an unpredictable factor, termed the "context effect", is associated with the construction of novel zinc finger transcription factors--- DNA-binding proteins that bind specifically to 9-base pair target sequences. In this study, we directly selected active artificial zinc finger proteins from a zinc finger protein library. Direct in vivo selection of constituents of a zinc finger protein library may be an efficient method for isolating multi-finger DNA binding proteins while avoiding the context effect.

The study is based on the technology-organization-environment (TOE) model which, attempted to determine the factors that are going to influence ICT adoption. The proposed research model evaluates the interplay among technological context (IT infrastructure, system security, and user capacity), organizational context (top management commitment, and innovations strategies), environmental context (quick response to the external agencies, interactive network infrastructure, and competitive pressure) and ICT adoption (productivity growth, organizational change, and competitiveness). Data were collected from 243 senior executives of full member firms of the Bangladesh Garments and Manufacturers Association (BGMEA) of examining the relationships among the constructs in the proposed framework utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis of TOE factors revealed that environmental, organizational, and technological factors have a significant impact on the successful implementation of ICT tools. The study also discusses implications for management practitioners.

본 연구는 CIPP모형을 활용하여 항공서비스교육의 성과를 평가하고자 한다. CIPP모형의 상황평가(Context), 투입평가(Input), 과정평가(Process), 산출평가(Product)를 중심으로 요인을 도출하고 항공서비스교육의 만족도와 재추천에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 그 결과 만족도에는 상황평가(C)의 교육목표, 과정평가(P)의 상호작용, 프로그램관리, 산출평가(P)의 직무성과 요인이 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 투입평가(I)의 인적자원은 부정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한 서비스교육의 재추천에는 상황평가(C)의 교육목표, 과정평가(P)의 상호작용, 교육지원, 산출평가(P)의 직무성과 요인이 긍정적인 요인으로 작용하였으며, 상황평가(C)의 요구진단은 부정적인 요인으로 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 항공서비스교육의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 인적자원이 아니라 교육의 목표, 상호작용, 프로그램관리, 성과를 높여야 하며, 서비스교육의 재추천을 위해서는 항공사의 요구진단보다는 교육목표, 상호작용, 교육지원, 직무성과를 높일 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

The intelligibility of a spoken message is influenced by a number of factors. Intelligibility is a joint product of a speaker and a listener. In addition, intelligibility varies with the nature of the language context and the context of communication. Thus a single intelligibility score can not be ascribed to a given individual apart from listener and listening situation. But there is a clinical and research need to develop assessment measures of intelligibility that are quantitative and analytic. Before developing the index of intelligibility, the crucial factors need to be examined. Among them, the most significant in intelligibility is the speech factors of speakers. The following section reviews the literature dealing with the contribution of segmental and suprasegmental factors in speech intelligibility regarding the hearing impaired, alaryngeal, and motor disorders.

본 연구는 기업가정신에 있어 성별 간 차이가 나타나는 현상 자체가 아닌 기업가정신의 성별 차이를 발생시키는 사회적 맥락의 영향을 확인하는 데에 초점을 둔다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 글로벌 기업가정신 트렌드 리포트(GETR)의 20개국 데이터를 사용하여 사회적 맥락이 성별과 기업가정신 간 관계에 미치는 조절효과를 검증하였다. 사회적 맥락의 함의와 관련된 가설검증을 위하여, 본 연구에서는 Hofstede의 문화차원 요인인 권력 거리, 개인주의, 남성성, 불확실성 회피와 제도적 요인인 양성평등, 사회보장을 사회적 맥락을 반영하는 구체적 변수로 사용하였다. GLM을 사용한 실증분석 결과 성별은 기업가 정신에 독립적으로 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 성별은 각각 권력 거리, 개인주의, 불확실성 회피, 양성 평등, 사회 보장 변수와 상호 작용하여 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 기업가정신의 성별 차이가 각 성별에 내재된 고유의 특성에 기인한 것이 아니라, 개인이 속한 그 국가의 사회적 맥락 수준에 따라 나타날 수 있음을 시사한다.

The growth in the use of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services as an enabler to conduct business more effectively has been phenomenal. Technology acceptance model (TAM) has been applied in different contexts to examine a wide range of information technologies (IT). As more and more companies are finding ways to utilize ubiquitous computing based on mobile services, an important issue is to understand what factors will impact the decisions of consumers in adopting the services. Based on TAM with three additional groups of external factors, i.e., service-related factors (ubiquitous access, context awareness) and technology-related factors (perceived security risk, network connectivity) that are theoretically justified as having influence on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use which are additionally considered, a research model for the investigated technology acceptance was developed and empirically examined, using responses from more than intended users of ubiquitous computing based on mobile services. The specific purposes of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study is to identify service beliefs considering unique characteristics for ubiquitous services such as perceived ubiquitous access and perceived context awareness. Secondly, this study is to investigate network characteristics beliefs such as perceived security and perceived connectivity. Thirdly, this paper investigates the relationship among variables such as ubiquitous characteristics, network characteristics, behavioral beliefs, and intention to use ubiquitous web services. This study uses a structural equation model to test the research model. The major results of this study are as follows. Firstly, ubiquitous access has a influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Context awareness has an influence on perceived usefulness. Secondly, User familiarity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and intention to use. User innovativeness has an influence on perceived ease of use. Thirdly, perceived security risk has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Network connectivity has an influence on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Fourth, there exist differential effects among factors in structural model among information, transaction, and entertainment services.
