  • In this paper, we developed the content management system for managing and integrating contents stored in local databases. This system converts the local database schema to XML document and makes the galobal database schema using the transmitted XML document. The contents integration and management system developed in this paper purposes the effective method for integrating and managing contents which is stored and operated in various environments.

  • In this paper, broadcasting contents management system which is for sharing user-created information in restricted areas is proposed. By the proposed system, the information is compulsively sent to a television set receiving broadcasting contents via various transmit media. So, user should be contacting the information while they are watching broadcasting contents.

  • As a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices, a digital image contents industrialization is growing fast. Digital image contents are represented as digitalized images for recognition by the computer. This paper proposes the customized stock image contents management system for digital image contents developers and UCC contents producers. For automatic batch management of image contents, we design the system using the techniques of stock image meta-data conversion to want, image contents format conversion to want and selective image contents uploading to want. Furthermore, constructed system can be embedded to a system easy and fast. It provides efficient work environment as appling conventional systems and contributes for user-friendly interface construction.

Analysis of Changes in Contents of Home Management Part in Home Economics Textbooks for Middle School (교육과정 시기에 따른 중학교 가정교과서 가정관리분야 단원의 내용 변천)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in contents of home management part in the home economics textbooks fur middle school from the 1st to the 7th curriculum period. The contents in the all of home economics textbooks published in every curriculum period are analyzed. The major findings of this study are as follows: 1. The part of home management is divided into seven specific areas including 'definition and process of home management', 'utilization of family resource and environment management', 'time management', 'household labor/work nanagement', 'family financial management', 'purchasing', and 'consumer protection'. 2. From the 6th curriculum period, the area of 'definition and process of home management' begun to be explained using system's approach and the area of 'household labor/work management' changed its' focus from household to self management. 3. The areas emphasized in the beginning of curriculum period were 'family financial management' and 'household labor/work management'. The 'consumer protection' ' and 'utilization of family resource and environment management' were the areas emphasized in the later curriculum period. 4. The contents of 'family financial management' area have changed very little, however, the contents of 'purchasing' area have changed a lot during the all curriculum periods. 5. The contents of illustrations, tables, pictures, and activities have changed according to changes of the contents of the textbooks.

  • In this paper, we designed and proposed framework of extended user model to support student tailored learning in ubiquitous environment. For the purpose, existents model that is domain model, user model, adaptation model and interaction model connected to LMS(Learning Management System) and LCMS(Learning Contents Management System). Students information management process that is extended user model is in between LMS and adaptive learning system. And the process connected u-LMS to use u-learning. u-LMS and u-LCMS could support the learning contents through exchange the contents according to connect and request from the students.

  • The Purpose of this study is to embody self-directed learning management system and contents which are considered of learner's interactivity and usability in e-learning environment; It is based on self directed teaching and learning strategies. It divides type of interaction centering on the learners into four categories: (1) learner and instructor (2) learner and learner (3) learner and contents (4) learner and learning management system. The specific elements of learning management system is set up and embodied to present the interaction strategies according to the above-mentioned patterns, to improve the self-directed learning ability and to facilitate an online communication. The learning contents based on the self directed learning strategies, design the interface in due consideration of the learners' usability based on six strategies such as simple navigation, consistency, intuitive interface, linkage, user supports and immediate feedback. This research makes up for the weak points in the self-directed functions of learning management system and links up with learning contents, therefore it has a value to improve learner's interactivity and usability. It is expected that the research results can be helpful in quality improvement of e-learning environment.

  • The purpose of the study was to develope e-Learning multimedia resource management system to support developing of e-Learning contents. This system is to create and manage multimedia resources like video, audio, and image more easily. We analyzed and redesigned media asset management system that would be used in broadcast, press, and industry. This system has SCORM metadata and is consisted of Windows 2003 server and RDBMS. The survey was conducted to investigate usability and satisfaction for the developed system.

  • This study analyzed the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction. For this purpose, the effects of content, navigation, screen frame, design, interaction, and error handling factors on user satisfaction were analyzed. A survey was conducted on 321 students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and the research results based on the survey contents are as follows. First, content, navigation, screen frame, interactivity, and error handling, which are major elements of the extracurricular activity management system, showed statistically significant results. Second, interactivity and error handling were found to have the greatest influence on the factors affecting user satisfaction of the extracurricular activity management system. In this study, it was found that the interaction of the whole system including contents is important for continuous improvement of the extracurricular activity management system, and that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction when prompt error handling is possible.

  • The web 2.0 is leading a rapid change of internet services. The UCC(User Created Contents) service is one of the representative internet services with web 2.0 paradigm. In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system does not need to install ActiveX and client programs on devices of users to edit their contents. All processes for editing UCC are conducted on the server. Our proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia editing subsystem and the metadata management system. They provide the API to UCC service developers or vendors. The multimedia editing subsystem supports editing for image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video.

  • In this paper, I presented that transformation of library from the collection management to knowledge contents management along with paradigm shift under the web-based multimedia information environment is required. Effective web contents management call maximize users'satisfaction with personal customizing services for library users. Especially, contents customizing service using the metabrowsing service contributes to maximize the user'satisfaction by supplying core contents that the user seeks. In this paper, I studied the scheme of knowledge contents management to increase of user'satisfaction, concentrating on the management factors of web-based multimedia knowledge contents and service strategy.
