  • The purpose of this study is to estimate deterioration factors and weighting factors in pipe network which each local self-governments takes rehabilitation and replacement work present time. Deterioration factors in pipe network are able to effected of specific province or location related with water supply. Most of water supply pipes are laid under the ground, it is hard to quantify deterioration degree of water system. Moreover, the timing and economic limitation and insufficient information on the spot survey gives a difficulty to look over how old water supply system is. Accordingly, this study collects and analyses five data as the laying environment, visual analysis, analysis of soil contents, analysis of pipe material, and questionary survey data in water pipe of A city. The deterioration factor estimates 14 factors with excavation and experimental analysis and 9 factors without excavation and experimental analysis. Also, the weighting factors are estimated by using the multiple linear regressions and the linear programming. The estimated deterioration factor and weighting results are compared the analysis result of visual, pipe material, and soil contents with the Probabilistic Neural Network Model. Consequently, the model results of estimated 9 factors in this study and 14 factors show the 1-2% difference. The result show that the proposed model could be used to decide the deterioration condition of pipe line with real excavation and experimental analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes of pre-roll ads played before watching online video contents, and to investigate the using motives by dividing them into broadcasting contents clips and web original contents. The results show that broadcast contents clips have higher use of entertainment/habitual use and social interaction, and that the use time of web content is higher when entertainment/convenience and selective use motivation are higher. Second, perceived invasion has the greatest effect on ad avoidance in broadcasting contents clip, and positive attitude toward advertisement is a significant factor in web contents. Content factors such as content preference and engagement did not affect the avoidance of pre-roll ad.

  • Users in the Web 2.0 era, which is based on the convergence of wired and wireless technologies, tend to have a high regard for digital contents interactions, as compared to the technology experienced at the analog era. To boost the digital contents business, it is necessary to focus on the digital contents(DC) interactions based on user-centered thinking to satisfy user preferences. According to previous studies, this study classified DC interactions into three types: interaction between users, interactions between contents and users, and interactions between system and users. This study empirically verifies that DC interactions factors affect flow as well as DC flow influences the DC use intention.

  • Although digital contents markets grow very rapidly and are known as a higher value added industry, there is also potential risk in producing digital contents. Thus, many firms have begun to produce a firm's digital contents by outsourcing from other companies in order to catch-up new technologies and to make stable profits. However, since contracts are decided mostly based on bidding price and also standard contract are not available, there is a limit on the benefit from the contents outsourcing. Thus, this study argues that if both contract factors such as contract concreteness and flexibility are well managed, the on-line digital contents will increase the performance of a firm. This study deals with the influence on the firm's performance by the outsourcing in contract factors based on the empirical analysis. Using regression analysis with these two dependent variables, the findings showed that the contract concreteness had positive effects on both cost improvement performance and efficiency improvement performance, but the contract feasibility only had positive effect on efficiency improvement performance. In addition, the result of the study showed that the contract performance of outsourcing the digital contents have a positive impact on the partnership intention.

  • In recent years, IT organizations are in the process of introducing IT Governance as the concept and measure of transparency, accountability and effectiveness of IT activities and control for managing governance processes. In this paper, the influential factors for IT organizations to adopt COBIT(The Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) which is a typical framework for effective IT Governance execution were classified and analyzed empirically into internal and external factors. Internal factors were designed based on influential factors in the theory of innovation diffusion, and external factors were designed based on influential factors from outside certification which were absent in COBIT and expertise support from the outside. The result of this study showed that understandability, transition and effectiveness which were internal factors had no effect on COBIT introduction, and only expertise support among certification and expertise support which were external factors had significant effects. This result shows that there are lack of COBIT supports and introduction in internal IT organizations. It is expected that the result of this study will allow strategic approach of COBIT adoption in future by verifying influential factors of COBIT introduction within IT organizations.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between recreation specialization of bicycle riders and purchase decision factors for bicycle products. A total of 351 respondents were selected using the stratified sampling method. From the statistical analyses, two meaningful results were extracted. First, there were significant difference in specialization sub-factors and purchase decision factors on the base of demographical characteristics. Specially, riding club participants were most different from non-participants in all factors. Second, some specialization sub-factors influenced some purchase decision factors positively, or negatively. In special, emotional specialization had positive effects most significantly on many factors of purchase decision. Cognitive specialization, however, had no any effect on purchase decision factors. Moreover, behavioral specialization had negative effects on some purchase decision factors.

Anime is gaining popularity in the United States as it is shown more on television, most noticeably on the Sci-Fi Channel with shows such as Saturday Anime and during Anime Week and on Cartoon Network with shows such as Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z being shown every weekday during the Toonami block. In this paper, I present the key factors behind the success of anime in USA. To find out the factors, I research literature and simple survey. The differences of anime from us animation make anime popular. Anime-related goods such as video games, trading cards, and characters' jewelry aid the anime growing popularity. A booming trend in admiration for Japan is one of the key factors behind anime's success. In spite of disputing about Japanese animation, anime is starting to have some influence on US animation and also young American. Anime's success factors in USA could suggest that Korean Manhwa and Korean animation have to prepare strategies for rising popularity in oversea.

  • This study was to analyze important dimensions and its factors of micro level of e-learning determining the quality of e-learning. E-learning dimensions and their factors were identified and developed from the analytical review of related researches. From literature review and survey as well as expert interview, six categories of e-learning identified from this study were: 1) curriculum content, 2) usability, 3) instructional design, 4) evaluation -both process and results, 5) management, and 6) refinement and improvement. A total of thirty-seven factors determining the quality of the e-learning six categories were identified. The rank order and contribution rates for each categories and factors were calculated to explain how importantly they contribute to the quality of e-learning. Also three dimensions such as controlling the e-learning quality, e-learning fundamental dimension e-learning process dimension, and e-learning product dimension, were explained. This study suggests a useful guidance for e-learning quality and evaluation framework for better results.
