Service Platform Technology of Dynamic Contents Collaboration of Clouds (클라우드 간의 콘텐츠 동적협업 서비스 플랫폼 기술)

  • In this paper, we propose contents authoring, management, and distribution technologies where the contents registered in secure storage through a content acquisition and authoring tool can be used as a common experience in smartphones, smart pads, and PCs. Currently, many people are producing and consuming various types of contents in bulk, and it is expected that real-time contents and old contents coexist as IoT(Internet of Things) technology is commonly deployed in the future. Therefore, we need to develop a differentiated service that can compete with global services in contents authoring and collaboration systems to create new markets. Accordingly, we implemented an authoring service platform to occupy cloud markets with high quality contents produced through collaboration.

A Study for Reducing of Cyber Sickness on Virtual Reality (가상현실 사이버멀미 완화에 관한 연구)

  • VR technology has been repidly developing thanks to development of a huge amount of new contents as well as new devices optimized for the virtual environment. Businesses in the IT sector have already started focusing on virtual reality, which might be considered as the center of industry in the future, and concentrated their efforts on development of VR, hardware and technology. Also, development of various VR device would lead to prosperity of media contents based on VR, Still, cyber sickness remain a serious problem waiting for an appropriate solution. In this paper we discuss causes for cyber sickness, analyze the relationship between cyber sickness and reflex eye movement and propose guidelines for the process of producing contents. In addition, we show experiments analyzing the effect of the proposed measures for alleviating cyber sickness.

News Content Consumption Analysis of News Consumers in the Era of New Media (뉴미디어 시대 뉴스 소비자들의 뉴스 콘텐츠 소비실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze news content consumption of news consumers in which a few media conglomerates control news consumption market caused by deregulation of media policy and development of Internet communication technology. In doing so, this study analyzes the consumption realities of news consumers in the new news consumption market generated by new media and mobile communication technologies, and the effects how the new news consumption market influences on news consumption pattern of audiences. After surveyed 229 news consumers, this study founded that news consumers use NAVER(news portal site) mainly while consuming news contents, specifically younger generation tends to use NAVER heavily. Furthermore, it is founded that news consumers chose news outlets for consuming news contents not by the quality of news contents and the function of the news outlets but by their own convenience.

  • With advances in smart and ICT(information and communication technology) technologies, our life style has been changing dramatically. Now everybody can enjoy the benefits of such technologies in every aspect of his/her daily life. Currently more and more people are trying to have smart devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs so that smart devices become the bare necessities. New smart technologies have created a new concept called smart learning in education area. As educational smart contents become popular, we need quality standards for the contents. Those standards are essential for evaluating the smart contents and suggesting guidance for future smart contents production. Although there are some standards for the existing e-learning environments, to our best knowledge, there are no standards for educational smart contents in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to develop quality standards for educational smart contents. The proposed quality standards are based on the existing quality standards in e-learning environments and include some characteristics of smart learning. For development of quality standards, wide experts group from academy and industry are selected and surveyed. Their responses are analyzed based on thorough statistical analysis so that final quality standards for educational smart contents are developed.

New Paradigm Changes in Animation in the Era of Media Convergence (미디어 컨버전스 시대 애니메이션의 새로운 패러다임 변화)

  • Recently, the animation market requires a new consumption form of animation contents that can meet the trend and environment of a new era. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to seek new changes in paradigm by analyzing the animation examples from media to media in order to confirm in which form animation genres are changed in the ers of media convergence. The finding shows that the paradigm changes in animation are essentially caused by the development of internet communication technology, the interactiveness, and the emergence of new media by media characteristics. As a result, the environment of consumption involves the introduction of active marketing centered on personal media and the new insight into the genre of animation, and the industry of animation has a high possibility of developing into a leading industry in the future based on the development of creation technology and on the paradigm of empirical economy and requires the animation education based on new media. This study will find its significance in that it may provide the basis of study in terms of theory and practice of the creation animation research focused on new media.

  • Researchers who use science and technology information were found to ask an information service in which they can excerpt the contents they needed, rather than using the information at article level. In this study, we micronized the contents of scholarly articles into text, image, and table and then constructed a micro-content DB to design a new information system prototype based on this micro-content. After designing the prototype, we performed usability test for this prototype so as to confirm the usefulness of the system prototype. We expect that the outcome of this study will fulfill the segmented and diversified information need of researchers.

  • The emergence of the new technologies, which are represented by multimedia and the internet, brings the tremendous change in respect of process, record, delivery, and transmission of the knowledge and information. The new digital contents made by these technologies help to improve the acquisition efficiency of the knowledge and information by directly and simultaneously stimulating humans' different senses. This paper concentrates on how the accumulated computer technologies such as multimedia and the Internet can be used to make the effective digital contents. This paper suggests four development method for the digital contents and gives the implemented example for each development method.

  • This paper describes the new trends of fashion industry in the era of digital media and Internet paradigm, where fashion is no longer just static contents. Fashion becomes crucial and dynamic contents for infotainment, mobile Internet, and digital media. As therefore, the fashion industry could be positioned as fashion information industry and key elements of fashion communication. In the future, fashion education should be repositioned as dynamic Intermediary not only for traditional textile design, costume design, and merchandising, but also for dynamic fashion information provider, fashion communication and fashion-oriented media related to digital Information, and Internet. As a case study, we briefly describe the successful co-marketing strategies of world-class luxury fashion brands, fashion media, and Internet service provider.

A New Business Model of the Multi-channel Satellite Webcasting Service (다채널 위성인터넷방송서비스의 비즈니스모델에 관한 연구 -네트워크외부성 유.무에 따른 비교분석을 중심으로-)

  • The appearance of on-demand business model of multimedia contents is one of the biggest changes in the broadband Internet which aims at the high-speed Internet users. Currently the interest in the webcasting service, a new converged service of the broadcasting and the telecommunications, has been increased. However the quality of service is not guaranteed due to the bottleneck problem in a middle-mile as the fundamental limit of the Internet, and has not been improved greatly due to the small-scaled operators of the webcasting services. This study suggests a new business model of the multi-channel satellite webcasting service based on the satellite multicasting and content delivery network, which guarantees the quality of service and channelizes the contents by the type or by the special purpose.
