  • In this paper, we developed a system that output and service using vairous contents with the inspection and management industry facilities in the operating system based on wireless network. This system can output to the display device at the same time, work management and a variety of content to the inspection facilities. And it outputs received contents of the advertising service provider in real-time. Therefore, this system support real-time facility management and various contents in the building at the same time.

  • This study was conducted to develop an automatic soil water content control system for greenhouse, which consisted of drip irrigation nozzles, soil water content sensors, an on/off valve, a servo-motor assembly and a control program. The control logic adopted in the system was Ziegler-Nichols algorithm and rising time, time constant and over/undershoot ratio as control variables in the system was selected and determined by various control experiments to maintain small delay time and low overshoot. Based on the experimental results, it was concluded that the control system developed in the study could replace the unreliable conventional greenhouse soil water management.

  • This paper proposes the system to manage profiles effectively that are necessary for content adaptation services. The proposed profiles for providing content adaptation services are used in the various services. However, currently, there are lack of the interoperability in profiles due to the different configuration, which is affected by different services. The service providers also spend a lot of operating costs by operating profiles respectively. To solve theses problems, the system which can integrate and manage the various kinds of the profiles is necessary. Based on profile services architecture and the previous profile research to the necessary functions for the proposed integrated management system of profile are derived. The proposed integrated management system of profile supports also the functions such as receiving, processing, saying, managing, providing and supports profiles that are made of RDF form and comply with the CC/PP specification. The metadata constitution technique and dynamic technique for effective content adaptation also are applied. As a result of performance evaluation the proposed techniques improve the performance 4% compared with the previous techniques.

Active Learning Environment for the Heritage of Korean Modern Architecture: a Blended-Space Approach

  • This research proposes the composition logic of an Active Learning Environment (ALE), to enable discovery by learning through experience, whilst increasing knowledge about modern architectural heritage. Linking information to the historical heritage using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) helps to overcome the limits of previous learning methods, by providing rich learning resources on site. Existing field trips of cultural heritages are created to impart limited experience content from web resources, or receive content at a specific place through humanities Geographic Information System (GIS). Therefore, on the basis of the blended space theory, an augmented space experience method for overcoming these shortages was composed. An ALE space framework is proposed to enable discovery through learning in an expanded space. The operation of ALE space is needed to create full coordination, such as a Content Management System (CMS). It involves a relation network to provide knowledge to the rule engine of the CMS. The application is represented with the Deoksugung Palace Seokjojeon hall example, by describing a user experience scenario.

  • In this paper, we developed the content management system for managing and integrating contents stored in local databases. This system converts the local database schema to XML document and makes the galobal database schema using the transmitted XML document. The contents integration and management system developed in this paper purposes the effective method for integrating and managing contents which is stored and operated in various environments.

  • 기존의 LMS(Learning Management System)는 학습자의 의도와 무관하게 처음부터 끝까지 모든 교육 내용을 모두 학습하게 구성됨으로써 온라인 교육의 목표인 언제 어디서든 이라는 원칙이 구현되지 못하고 있다. 또한 학습자가 요구하는 내용으로 수정 및 보완이 용이하지 않고, 개발 시간이 느리고 비용이 많이 소요된다. 따라서 학습자 요구에 맞는 교육컨텐트를 개발하려면 LCMS(Learning Content Management System)기반으로 교육코스를 개발하는 저작도구가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 학습자 요구에 맞는 교육과정을 개발하고, 교육의 효율성을 극대화 시키는 방법으로 학습객체 단위로 CDT-L(Course Development Tool-Learning Content Management System)을 개발하고자 한다. 또한 다른 객체와의 관계등을 생성함으로써 학습자에게 꼭 필요한 정보를 찾을 수 있도록 해주어 이를 통해 학습자 중심의 학습을 가능케 한다. 학습자의 특성을 고려한 맞춤식 교육 코스 구성으로 앞으로는 자신이 원하는 과정을 선택하고 학습자에게 맞는 코스 강의로 강의가 이뤄지는 것을 가능하게 하기 위해 코스와 학습객체에 대한 메타데이터를 표준 문서인 SCORM 1.2에 기반하여 정의한다. 정보를 가지고 있는 학습객체를 선택하여 파일과 정보를 저장한 식별하기 위하여 검색을 한다. COT-L의 구현을 통해 컨텐트 재활용도를 높이면서 교육과정의 개발시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있다.

  • As a part of working on development of the learning management system, a adaptive learning management system which is able to provide individual learner with different learning contents or paths customized to learner's learning behaviors by expanding SCORM was proposed in this dissertation. In terms of instructional technology interrelated with technology of CBI and ITS, new learning environments and learner preferences were analyzed. A related laboratory system was implemented by packaging a process on how to expand the meta data for contents and a process on how to utilize the web-based learning contents dynamically. In order to evaluate the usability of the implemented system, a sample content was provided to some selected learners and their learning achievement resulted from the new learning environment was analysed. A result of the experiment indicated that the adaptive learning management system proposed in this dissertation could provide every learner with the different content tailored to their individual learning preference and behavior. and it worked also to promote the learning performance of every learner.

  • In recent years, the number of digital content transaction has increased dramatically, in main, owing to the innovation of IT technology. At the same time, it creates new problems which have never been found in traditional transactions. Especially, due to the easy-copy characteristics of digital content, the illegal usage of digital content proliferates. Also the conflicts between seller an d buyer in digital content transactions on cyberspace market take place frequently because contracts were made without face-to-face discussion. The increase of illegal usage and conflict in digital content market would diminish motivation of creators for their work, furthermore break down digital content market on cyberspace. Digital content transaction authentication system would play an important role in creating sound digital content market. Especially, it would make big contribution to reducing the number of conflict between seller and buyer. In this context, the main objective of this study is to suggest operational model of digital content transaction authentication and to explain critical success factors in organizing digital content transaction authentication system.

A Design and Implemention of an Article Union Cataloging System Based on Metadata (메타데이터 기반 학술지 논문 종합 목록 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • As the rapid develoment of internet and information technology, the traditional library has been altered to the digital content service based on the world wide web. This paper proposes a design and implementation of an Artcle Union Catalog System(AUCS) based on metadata. The metadata set for the AUCS consists of twelve Dublin Core elements and one holdings element. The qualifiers of the proposed metadata elements are also represented. The AUCS system has an online cooperated cataloging system using the web interface or the 239.50 protocol, an union cataloging management system, and an integrated information retrieved system service. The integrated search and retrieval service of the AUCS displays not only the summary and detailed bibliographic information, but also the abstract, the table of contents, the digital content, and the copylfax service.

  • This paper aims at studying the new SCORM based e-Learning system and self-course design method. To construct this aims, we have researched the merits, shortcomings and characteristics of the previous LMS(Learning Management System) and we have researched the merits, shortcomings and characteristics of SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Model). SCORM was suggested ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning) to elevate the reusability of learning contents. Also we have researched the related researches of SCORM, SCORM based LMS and case studies. This paper suggests the level based self learning and course design and the system based on SCORM. This system has elevated the effectiveness and satisfaction of the learners.
