문제해결력 향상을 위한 동료 에이전트 시스템의 교육적 효과 (The Educational Effects of Peer Agent System to Improve Problem-Solving Ability)

  • 프로그래밍 교육을 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 문제해결력 향상을 위해 교수 학습 모형을 기반으로 동료 에이전트를 개발하였다. 문제해결력에 대한 하위 요소를 학습내용 이해, 문제해결 전략, 자기조절 영역으로 구분하였고, 문제해결력 하위 요소에 대한 프로그래밍 교수 학습 방법을 제시하였으며, 교수학습 모형을 수행할 수 있도록 동료 에이전트를 개발하였다. 개발된 동료 에이전트 시스템의 교육적 효과를 살펴보기 위하여 프로그래밍 수업에 적용한 결과, 전통적 수업 방식이나 동료 프로그래밍 수업 방식에 비해 문제해결력 하위 요소에서 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 이는 동료 에이전트가 학습자의 문제해결력을 향상시키는데 교육적 효과가 있음을 의미한다.

A Case Study on College EFL Readers: Awareness, Experiences, and Processes

  • This research primarily aimed to investigate proficient and less proficient EFL readers' awareness and experiences about learning to read and reading in English. The secondary purpose was to explore the participants' reading strategies, and to discover how the genres of English texts influence their reading processing behaviors. The participants consisted of four college students in engineering aged 21-25 years. Three data sources were employed: questionnaires, interviews, and think-alouds. The findings revealed that: (1) the proficient EFL readers judged themselves to be good readers, while the less proficient EFL readers judged themselves to be fair readers; (2) unknown vocabulary was perceived to be the major impediment to reading comprehension; the think-aloud data, however, demonstrated that unknown vocabulary did not significantly interfere with their reading comprehension; (3) regardless of the genre of the text, the participants employed similar reading strategies; (4) the participants were more likely to tolerate ambiguity and predict the content when reading the narrative text than the expository text; (5) there was no set of strategies that distinguished proficient EFL readers from less proficient EFL readers; and (6) when identifying problems, the proficient EFL readers used fix-up strategies more effectively and were better able to provide satisfactory solutions than their counterparts. Pedagogical implications for EFL reading instruction are discussed.

A Case Study of Art Marketing in Fashion Brand

  • Purpose - This study examines the effects of art marketing management of the marketing mix in fashion, focusing on the cases of the leading global fashion brands in art marketing management. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study was implemented using the content analysis method. Criteria, including product differentiation, promotion strategies, store strategies, and social contributions, were based on previous research, brand promotional references, and critical reviews in newspapers or professional magazines for various cases of art marketing management by fashion brands. Results - To achieve product differentiation, art marketing management has borrowed images from artworks, and employed parodies and collaboration with artists; this has facilitated the pleasure derived from utilizing the artistic value of products. Promotion strategies were integrated with art performances, advertisements, and runway shows. Store strategies developed emotional feelings and a longing for brands among consumers. Reputational marketing of the social contributions made by corporations elevated the corporate brand image perceived by consumers. Conclusions - This study's findings revealed that consumers can derive emotional satisfaction through art marketing that seeks to profit effectively by stimulating consumers' emotions. From an economic perspective, a convergence of art and marketing plays an important role in profit-making and satisfying consumers' emotions.

수학과 교육과정 재구성의 이론과 실제 -초등 문제해결 관련 내용을 중심으로- (Theory and Research on Curriculum Reconstruction focusing on the chapters related to Problem Solving in Elementary School Mathematics)

  • This study was executed with the intention of guiding ‘open education’ toward a desirable school innovation. The basic two directions of curriculum reconstruction essential for implementing ‘open education’ are one toward intra-subject (within a subject) and inter-subject (among subjects). This study showed an example of intra-subject curriculum reconstruction with a problem solving area included in elementary mathematics curriculum. In the curriculum, diverse strategies to enhance ability to solve problems are included at each grade level. In every elementary math textbook, those strategies are suggested in two chapters called ‘diverse problem solving’, in which problems only dealing with several strategies are introduced. Through this method, students begin to learn problem solving strategies not as something related to mathematical knowledge or contents but only as a skill or method for solving problems. Therefore, problems of ‘diverse problem solving’ chapter should not be dealt with separatedly but while students are learning the mathematical contents connected to those problems. Namely, students must have a chance to solve those problems while learning the contents related to the problem content(subject). By this reasoning, in the name of curriculum reconstruction toward intra-subject, this study showed such case with two ‘diverse problem solving’ chapters of the 4th grade second semester's math textbook.

다차원 인덱싱 구조에서의 k-근접객체질의 처리 방안 (k-Nearest Neighbor Query Processing in Multi-Dimensional Indexing Structures)

  • 최근에 데이터베이스 응용분야에서 내용기반의 검색이 가능한 이미지 데이터와 같은 다차원 정보 처리에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 따라서 다차원 데이터를 효율적으로 저장하고. 사용자가 원하는 질의 결과를 신속히 제공하는 것이 중요한 연구분야이다 다차원의 데이터에 대한 질의는 대표적으로 영역질의 (Range query)와 최근접객체검색질의(Nearest Neighbor Query)로 나눌 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 $R^*-tree$와 같은 다차원의 인덱싱 구조에서 효율적이고 빠른 k-근접객체검색질의를 수행하기 위한 방안을 제시한다. k-근접객체검색질의는 질의 객체로부터 가장 근접한 k개의 객체를 반환하는 것이다. 본 논문은 이를 위하여 가지치기(Pruning) 기법을 이용하여 검색 공간을 줄이는 방법을 사용하였다. 실험을 통하여 제안된 전략의 오버헤드와 이득을 보였으며, 마지막으로 가장 효율적인 전략의 사용을 제안하였다.

Pragmatic Strategies of Self (Other) Presentation in Literary Texts: A Computational Approach

  • The application of computer software into the linguistic analysis of texts proves useful to arrive at concise and authentic results from large data texts. Based on this assumption, this paper employs a Computer-Aided Text Analysis (CATA) and a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to explore the manipulative strategies of positive/negative presentation in Orwell's Animal Farm. More specifically, the paper attempts to explore the extent to which CATA software represented by the three variables of Frequency Distribution Analysis (FDA), Content Analysis (CA), and Key Word in Context (KWIC) incorporate with CDA decipher the manipulative purposes beyond positive presentation of selfness and negative presentation of otherness in the selected corpus. The analysis covers some CDA strategies, including justification, false statistics, and competency, for positive self-presentation; and accusation, criticism, and the use of ambiguous words for negative other-presentation. With the application of CATA, some words will be analyzed by showing their frequency distribution analysis as well as their contextual environment in the selected text to expose the extent to which they are employed as strategies of positive/negative presentation in the text under investigation. Findings show that CATA software contributes significantly to the linguistic analysis of large data texts. The paper recommends the use and application of the different CATA software in the stylistic and corpus linguistics studies.

A Computer-Aided Text Analysis to Explore Recruitment and Intellectual Polarization Strategies in ISIS Media

  • This paper employs a computer-aided text analysis (CATA) and a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to explore the strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization in ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) media. The paper's main objective is to shed light on the efficacy of employing computer software in the linguistic analysis of texts, and the extent to which CATA software contribute to deciphering hidden meanings of texts as well as to arrive at concise and authentic results from these texts. More specifically, this paper attempts to demonstrate the contribution of CATA software represented in the two variables of Frequency Distribution Analysis (FDA) and Content Analysis (CA) in decoding the strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization in one of ISIS 's digital publication: Rumiyah (a digital magazine published by ISIS). The analytical focus is on three strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization: (i) lexicalization, (ii) intertextual religionisation, and (iii) justification. Two main findings are revealed in this study. First, the application of CATA software into the linguistic investigation of texts contributes effectively to the understanding of the thematic and ideological messages pertaining to the analyzed text. Second, the computational analysis guarantees concise, credible, authentic and ample results than is the case if the analysis is conducted without the work of computer software. The paper, therefore, recommends the integration of CATA software into the linguistic analysis of the various types of texts.

수학 교과 독서 지도를 위한 교사 교육 실행 - 예비 교사 교육 사례를 연계한 현직 교사 연수 - (Mathematics Teacher Education for the Teaching of Content Area Reading in School Mathematics)

  • 본 연구에서는 '수학 교과 독서의 이해'를 주제로 수학 교사 연수 프로그램을 실행하였다. 교사 연수는 교과 독서 지도에 대한 교사들의 이해를 심화하고 효과적인 교과 독서 지도의 실천을 유도하고자 계획되었다. 특히, 연수 과정에서는 예비 수학 교사 교육의 지도 내용을 현직 수학 교사 연수 과정에 접목시키면서 교과 독서 지도에 대한 실천 사례를 구체적으로 예시하였다. 연수에 참여한 교사들은 교과 독서 지도를 의미있게 실천하는 다양한 방법을 접하면서, 자신의 지도 경험을 반성적으로 되돌아보고 이전보다 개선된 지도 방법을 탐색해 나가는 학습의 기회를 갖게 되었다. 교사 양성 기관과 중등학교 현장에서의 실천 사례가 공유되면서 교사 교육자나 교사 모두에게 개선된 교육 실천을 위한 학습 경험이 이루어졌다. 본 논문에서는 교사 연수의 실행 과정과 그 결과를 분석하여 제시한다. 나아가 본 연구의 제한점을 바탕으로 앞으로의 교사 연수 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 관한 제언을 하였다.

한국 지역의 음식문화 홍보콘텐츠 커뮤니케이션 전략 비교 연구 - 서울시, 전주시, 제주시 등 3개 지역 공식 웹사이트 담화의 문화기호학적 분석을 중심으로 - (A Comparative Study of Region's Communication Strategy for Food Culture PR Contents through Semiotic Analyses of the Official Websites of Seoul, Jeonju, and Jeju)

  • In this study, the symbols and visual expressions employed in the food culture content of official website designed to promote three cities in Korea, Seoul, Jeonju and Jeju, were subjected to semiotic analysis. In this study, it was assumed that these websites reflected the varying perspectives of the people behind the development and management of these routes of Internet communication, and the semiotic choices made in order to exemplify each city's food cultural image. The aim of the study was to analyze the communication strategies of food cultural branding in the terms of the online content regarding Seoul, Jeonju, and Jeju with a focus on the comparative points in these cities' official websites. This study included conducting semiotic content analyses of the aforementioned cities' official web pages in an attempt to determine the food branding strategies used to differentiation and produce more favorable perceptions of these three cities. Building upon the findings drawn from this comparative study, the present work can be used to determine more effective ways of strategically differentiating the images of local food culture associated with these cities from the view of brand communications. This study also demonstrates viable directions for designing web content for a city where the food cultural messages can be delivered in a thoughtful and effective manner.

서울·경인지역 노인자원봉사 활성화 방안 연구 - 장애요인 및 실천적 대안을 중심으로 - (Fieldworkers' Perceptions of the Policies and the Strategies for Promoting Elderly Volunteering Actions and the Exploring Alternatives in the Volunteering Work: Focused on Elderly-barrier and Practical Suggestions)

  • 기존의 노인 자원봉사 활성화 방안들의 구상은 역할관점에 기반 한 활동이론(active theory)을 적용하여 '선배 시민(Senior Citizen)'으로서 노인이 자원봉사활동을 통해 지역사회공동체에 건강성을 부여하는데 있다. 또한 시민성 개발을 위한 평생교육/학습모델을 전제로 노인 자원봉사자 및 활동영역을 확대하고자 한다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 노인 자원봉사 활성화를 위해 제시된 제도 방안들을 자원봉사 실천현장의 실무자들이 이를 어떻게 인식하고 적용하고 있는지를 파악하고, 이들이 당면하고 있는 장애요인들과 실천대안들을 면밀히 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여, 서울과 수도권 지역의 노인복지관 및 자원봉사센터 12개 기관의 실무자와 심층면접을 진행하였다. '직접적 내용분석'을 활용하여, 활성화 방안의 주제 범주로 12개를 도출하여 실무자들의 인식을 노인 자원봉사 활성화 주제범주별로 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과로, 노인 자원봉사 정책방안과 실천 현안에 대한 현장 실무자들의 경험과 인식을 통해 재점검하였으며, 향후 노인 자원봉사 활성화를 위한 장애요인과 실천적 대안들을 실무자들의 견지에서 제시하였다.
