The objective of this study is to understand bodily extension and identity in contemporary fashion art through the analysis of 'the fashion acting on the body' among the fashion theory excluding body and the conspicuous works on the opening and covering images as a fashion art as a body-space'. This study also investigated identity problems where there are poles apart in opening and closure their bodies and body-space in which its clothing types were distorted by being de-bodilization out of the traditional and ideological expression method in contemporary fashion art from a opening and closure point of view. Image of opening and closure among body-space in fashion art can be classified into opposing structure of opening and closure. Destroying the boundary between bodily opening and closure for a primary function of clothing and dismantling the role and boundary between body and clothing, opening body-space in appearance as a reemergence of body image or the border between inner and outer are being ambiguous because of transparent material. Being representative work of this study opening body-space was expressed as an opening space image using transparency. On the contrary, closure body-space was isolated from external environment and confined in the certain space, which could limit or restraint body- action. Excluding boundary of body and clothing on the whole or in part, boundary of work becomes body-space. However, these were appeared to be a work inducing unlimited curiosity and meaning from the audience. The interpretation of artistic and body-space in fashion art are indicating the role and function of the fashion art exceeding the suggestible dimensions in the every day life of fashion. The body-space of fashion art showing similar aspect of body art today could be understood that it is substituted into an metaphorical, critical space by seeing it as a symbol system connected with social space. Therefore, contemporary fashion art should be interpreted as an equivocal space looking at the body-space with open mind.

Media manipulation of breaking news through article selection, ranking and tweaking of social media data and comment streams is a growing concern for society. We argue that the combination of human and machine curation on media portals marks a new period for news media and journalism. Although intermediary platforms routinely claim that they are merely the neutral technological platform which facilitates news and information flows, rejecting any criticisms that they are operating as de facto media organisations; instead, we argue for an alternative, more active interpretation of their roles. In this article we provide a contemporary account of the South Korean ('Korean') online news media ecology as an exemplar of how contemporary media technologies, and in particular portals and algorithmic recommender systems, perform a powerful role in shaping the kind of news and information that citizens access. By highlighting the key stakeholders and their positions within the production, publication and distribution of news media, we argue that the overall impact of the major portal platforms of Naver and Kakao is far more consequential than simply providing an entertaining media diet for consumers. These portals are central in designing how and which news is sourced, produced and then accessed by Korean citizens. From a regulatory perspective the provision of news on the portals can be a somewhat ambiguous and moving target, subject to soft and harder regulatory measures. While we investigate a specific case study of the South Korean experience, we also trace out connections with the larger global media ecology. We have relied on policy documents, stakeholder interviews and portal user 'walk throughs' to understand the changing role of news and its surfacing on a distinctive breed of media platforms.

Geometrical figures have been used as artwork motifs from the ancient times to the present day. The area of fashion, being a part of modern art, is also largely influenced by geometry and geometrical shapes are being used as a motif for fashion design now more than ever before. However, studies about geometry in the fashion field are not yet done enough and further research is necessary. This research will therefore investigate the usages of round, square and triangular design in contemporary fashion. The main scope of this research is to look at the type of expression and analyze the intrinsic meanings of these shapes in modern fashion. This research will look profoundly into the general characteristics of these geometrical figures and analyze the effects and uniqueness found in the world collection introduced since 2007. As a result from this study, it was found that round and square objects were perceived in such a straightforward and positive way and these designs, when worn, really completed the final look. On the other hand, the triangular design was used mainly for spatial expansion and was interpreted in a more metaphorical, indirect and abstract way. The intrinsic meaning of round, square and triangle figures in contemporary fashion consists of the informal features that really steps out of the formative clothing structure. The topological changes that is formed from the interactive functions and the wholism that creates a new system through integration of the human body and clothing contains the intrinsic meaning of these geometrical figures. Based on the research results, the method of expression and the characteristics of modern day fashion's geometrical figures was able to be easily understood. This work provides the useful information on the development of fashion design and the extended interpretation of clothing structure.

The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of separation color coordination of contemporary female fashion through the analysis of 'pre-a-porter Collections' of four collections (i. e. cities) - Paris, Milan, New York, London - from the periods of 2004 S/S to 2008/9 A/W. The data collection of 265 was done by reviewing 'pre-a-porter Collections' magazine and total 265 observations were made. Statistical analysis of frequency and also qualitative interpretation of separation color coordination characteristics were completed. The main findings were; (1) In separation color coordination of contemporary women's fashion collections, there were three main types of color scheme which were classified into seven detailed categories of color combination. First was the achromatic color & one chromatic separation color scheme which was classified into four categories of - black & white, black & grey, white & grey, and grey & grey - color combination. Second was the chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color scheme which classified into two categories of achromatic & chromatic color & one achromatic separation color combination, and chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color combination. Third was chromatic colors and one chromatic separation color combination. (2) The achromatic colors and one chromatic separation color scheme showed two phases of reinforcing the strong and modern image, or softening the hard and dull image of achromatic color combination. In color schemes which used more than two chromatic colors, the separation color frequently converted the tedious and monotonous fashion image, which caused by identical or similarity in color or tone harmony, into more attractive and interesting. (3) In conclusion, through the various use and coordination of various color schemes, color harmony and separation colors, the separation color coordination in contemporary female fashion has been suggested the effective way of color combination which can lead the visual pleasure and the vitality along with the unity and the harmony. This characteristics can create various images and visual diversity for fashion. The types and the use of color scheme and separation color showed different trends in four collections.

본 연구는 인천 자유공원의 '역사도시공원'으로서의 가치를 공원 및 주변지역의 역사적 변천 과정을 통해 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 연구 방법으로 고지도 및 항공사진에 기반한 시계열 분석을 통해 자유공원의 시대별 변천에 대해 알아보고, 이를 근현대사의 시대적·문화적 변화를 바탕으로 해석하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 자유공원은 (1) 근·현대사의 주요 사건을 보여주는 증거일 뿐 아니라, (2) 국내 최초의 도시계획에 기반한 도시공원으로서의 역사적인 가치도 지니며, 또한 (3) 근·현대 급변한 시민 생활상을 보여주는 매우 중요한 유산 가치를 지닌다. 그러나 본 연구의 유산 가치 규명에도 불구하고, 자유공원의 유산 가치에 대한 보다 명확한 규명 및 복원·활용을 위해서는 향후 자유공원에 대한 깊이있는 자료의 탐색 및 발굴연구 등 추가 연구들이 요구된다.

본 연구는 신문화지리학, 공간 정치경제학, 조경학에서 논의되어 온 경관론들을 통합적으로 검토하고 재해석함으로써 도시 경관의 생성과 변화를 해석하는 이론적 틀을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 경관 개념은 인간, 특히 부르주아적 주체를 자연과 분리하여 자연에 대한 시각적 전유를 이루고자 하는 의도를 담고 있다. 근대적 경관 개념을 수용한 오늘날의 조경은 경관을 실증 과학 혹은 예술의 대상으로 한정짓는다. 본 연구에서는 '물질화된 담론'과 '물질화된 자본'으로서의 경관이라는 두 가지 관점에서 경관 해석 이론을 제시하였다. 신문화지리학을 중심으로 한 경관의 사회 정치적 해석 논의들을 검토한 결과, 물질화된 담론으로서의 경관은 지배층의 시각을 담은 '보는 방식'이고, 탐험가나 예술가들을 통해 구현되는 제국주의적 시각이며, 남성적 관음적 '응시'이기도 하다. 경관의 경제적 측면에 주목하는 공간 정치경제학자들에 따르면, 경관의 생산은 자본주의 체제에서 잉여 가치 생산을 위한 필연적 국면이며, 소비 문화의 확산과 함께 경관자체가 소비의 대상이 되고 있다. 따라서 경관의 물질성과 이데올로기성을 변증법적으로 보아야 하며, 경관과 사회는 존재론적으로 분리될 수 없다.

연구 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 성서 교육과 학습을 위한 해석의 다양성의 중요성을 강조한 독일 성서교수학자 베르그(Horst Klaus Berg)의 교육원리를 소개하고 탐구하면서 기독교교육에서 다양한 성서해석의 중요성을 강조한다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 오늘날 성서 읽기의 어려움은 복잡성에서 비롯된다 할 수 있다. 이 복잡성을 교육학적인 의미에서 다양성으로 이해하고 더 깊은 이해의 도구로 삼을 수 있다. 본 논문은 복잡한 성서의 다양한 해석의 당위성을 이해하기 위해 독일의 대표적인 성서교수학자 베르그의 이론에 주목한다. 베르그는 '기차 선로들'과 '자유 학습'과 같은 상징어로 성서의 다양한 해석과 방법이 학습자에게 전통과 경험 사이의 간격을 교육적으로 줄여야 한다고 주장한다. 이러한 다양한 해석에 대한 열린 자세는 성서의 광범위한 내용이 학습자가 삶의 현장과 연결되어 기초적으로 학습자가 인식할 수 있는 교육 기회를 제공한다고 믿는다. 결론 및 제언 : 본 연구에서는 베르그의 성서 교수학의 세 가지 과제: '상호 해석,' '성서 본문의 다양성 이해,' '자유 학습'이 불가분의 관계에 있다는 것을 확인한다. 이것을 통해 우리는 베르그의 성서교수학으로부터 어린이가 자신의 삶의 경험과 연결하여 성서 본문의 깊은 의미를 이해하는 주체적인 독자가 되도록 돕는 것이 기독교교육의 과제임을 다시 깨닫는다. 이런 의미에서 베르그가 주장하는 성서의 통전성과 다양성에 대한 이해는 오늘날 기독교 교육의 영역에 여전히 유효한 통찰을 주는 개념이다.

Unlike the extrinsic Modern Functionalist, Louis I. Kahn, a modern American architect, had been pursued intrinsic architectural nature based on historicity; The Essence of Architecture, during his lifetime. That is the reason why he is generally called as one of frontiers toward Post-Modern Architecture. However, the actual meaning of his 'The Essence of Architecture' is so vague and unclear until today, because not only his complex personal thought and career but various and subjective interpretation by so many later architects and architectural theorists. In the context, this paper attempt to reanalyze and clarify Kahn's idea of 'The Essence of Architecture' with the deep and objective view of aesthetics focused on a distinguished contemporary German philosopher, N. Hartman's idea of phenomenological relation and the stratified structure of a work of art.

This research focuses on analyzing the problems of guideline signs, facilities and length of nature trails of Odaesan and Seoraksan national park, and aims to help the preservation of nature by increasing the efficiency of children's learning of nature by observing the usage of nature trails in the children's point of view. On-site research and questionnaire research took place in November 2008 and february 2008. Considering the contemporary problems, we have proposed the location change of guideline signs to be suitable for children and also the change of its design for children's increased attention.

This study is to find the interpretation of Korean aesthetics with emotional, relative, synthetic thinking in the ambiguity of characteristics of multi-culturalism and ambivalence in contemporary beauty design. Beauty design incorporates makeup and hair design to complete the total images with clothing in fashion shows and Korean aesthetics based on Korean religion and art that include the symbolism of humor, irregularity, moderation, harmony, unification, and emptiness. This study analyzes 864 works of make-up and hair design from 2001 S/S to 2009 F/W to understand the beauty design to summarize the natural, eclectic, classic, poor, humor, and decadent tendencies. The characteristics of aesthetics sense of Beauty Design are summarized as artless naturalism, integrate pluralism, de-constructive deviation, and temperate poverty.
