컨테이너 터미널 장비의 RAM 향상을 위한 관리 시스템 (Management System for Improving RAM of Equipment in Container Terminals)

  • Equipments in container terminal have a lot of parts, and an equipment breakdown affects the productivity of terminal. In this paper, we develop a maintenance management system for improving reliability, availability and maintainability of equipments in container terminals. The developed system consists of five modules : equipment structure module, equipment operation management module, maintenance control module, spare part control module and data analysis module. The system supports reliability engineers to manage and improve RAM of equipments in container terminals. For example, FMEA, failure state analysis and life distribution parameters estimation are easily or automatically done by the system. This system also provides optimal preventive maintenance intervals by simulation and optimal yearly PM schedules for equipments in container terminal are recommended.

  • Port development is remarkable increased due to the progress of industrialization in ASEAN area. Especially, Vietnam has increased the international physical distribution in this area rapidly. The main issues facing decision makers at container terminals in Vietnam are how to expand the existing container terminals and construct new container terminals. In this paper, we performed the basic design based on simulation analysis in order to support the expansion of Quy Nhon port in Vietnam as a case study. The preliminary capacity analysis was conducted on the one berth at the port to analyze the scale of C/C and yard area. Alternative scenarios were created based on the preliminary capacity analysis and the detailed simulation analysis was conducted fur the scenarios. And in order to establish the marketing strategy, we classified the marketing elements by industrial environment and performed SWAT analysis of the port.

  • 컨테이너터미널은 적정 규모의 선석(길이)과 야드 부지를 확보하였을 때, 운영 효율성이 극대화 될 수 있다. 하지만 부산신항을 비롯한 일부 컨테이너항만은 운영주체 분리로 인해 다수의 터미널이 분리 운영되어 물류 효율성에 제약이 존재한다. 이 연구에서는 인접한 2개의 컨테이너터미널에 야드 코피티션 영역을 활용할 경우, 기존에 비해 전체 터미널 운영(물류) 효율성이 크게 제고될 수 있음을 분석한다.

  • At container terminals, a major measurement of productivity can be work efficiency. For improving the productivity of container crane, the more efficient container yard operation method is necessary in container terminals. Recently, container terminal operators make an experiment on the dual cycle operation, which ship loading/unloading were carried out simultaneously, for increasing the productivity of container crane. In this paper, propose a system operating efficient dual cycle methods as utilize Ad-hoc technology in distributed port operation system. The dual cycle methods that proposed recognizes position information of Y/T during an action in Ad-hoc networks in case of container transfer works by real time as load an Ad-hoc module to Y/T taking charge of a container transfer with quay and yard. Utilize Ad-hoc networks technology in an operating system of container yard, and efficiently distributed processing done Y/T to container crane compare with operation systems of the existing dedicated method, and an improvement can do an operating system of an yard.

  • The container handling times of automated transfer cranes(ATCs) significantly affect the productivity of container terminals. In this paper, evaluation models for the container handling times of ATCs are suggested for import container blocks with different transfer point configurations. Firstly, evaluation models for various motion times of stacking and retrieving operations of ATC are suggested for two basic alternatives of import container blocks. In addition, in considering the space allocation, evaluation methods for the container handling times of ATC are suggested. Finally, the container handling times for each case are compared with each other in order to analyze how the block shape and the transfer point locations affect the container handling times of ATC.

광양항 컨테이너 터미널 선석 재배치에 따른 기대효과 분석 (Estimating Benefits of Gwangyang Port Container Terminals' Berth Relocation)

  • Container terminals at Gwangyang Port are operated by three container operators: A, B and C. Ultimately, there is consensus that a single operator should operate all terminals so that economies of scale can be achieved even in the operation of the container terminal. Integration between operators has a positive effect on both operators and shipping companies. From the operator's point of view, overlapping fixed costs between operators can be unified, reducing overall costs and utilizing spare facilities. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of the shipping company, it is possible to ensure stable use of the port facilities and always allow berthing, reduce days on demurrage and ship waiting, and provide one-stop service for work. However, existing cases of operators' integration or relocation of terminals remained to estimate the expected effects of alternatives, emphasizing only the financial point of view. The port terminal is a large system, and it is important to consider that it is an aggregate of major logistics facilities and equipment. Moreover, if the estimation can be made by quantifying the expected effect, the justification of the terminals' relocation can be further emphasized. Therefore, it is very important to estimate the expected effect from the viewpoint of systemic operation. Moreover, the need for operators' integration can be further emphasized if it can be estimated through quantification of expected effects. Currently, three alternatives are considered as alternatives to the terminals' relocation, and in this study, the optimal plan was derived for the 3 alternatives by the linear planning model of the minimum shuttle transportation cost in the terminal. The optimal plan is alternative 2, which shows the most advantageous integration effect in terms of expected effects. Alternative 2 integrates the B terminal into the C terminal, and the A terminal operates independently as it is.

부산항 컨테이너 터미널 사이버 보안 강화를 위한 탐색적 연구 (Exploratory Study on Enhancing Cyber Security for Busan Port Container Terminals)

  • 항만 산업의 동향은 적극적인 4차 산업 기술을 도입하여 자동화 항만, 스마트 항만 등 새로운 항만의 형태로 발전하고 있다. 그러나 항만의 발전 이면에는 항만 및 컨테이너 터미널 내 사이버 보안 사고 및 위협 가능성 또한 높아지고 있다. 이에 항만 내 사이버 보안 강화와 관련된 연구가 필수적이나 국내에서 진행되는 관련 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대표 항만인 부산항 중 가장 4차 산업 기술을 적극적으로 도입하는 컨테이너 항만을 중심 사이버 보안 강화를 위한 요인을 도출하고 향후 강화 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과 부산항 컨테이너 터미널 사이버 보안 강화를 위한 요인은 네트워크 구축 및 정책 지원, 교육 표준화 및 인력 양성, 법·제도적 요인으로 분류되었다. 이후 도출된 요인을 바탕으로 다중회귀 분석을 실시하였으며 분석 결과를 바탕으로 향후 부산항 컨테이너 터미널의 안전성 확보 및 강화, 신뢰성 확보 및 강화, 성과 및 만족도 향상을 위한 세부 요인을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 점차 증가하는 항만 및 컨테이너 터미널 내 사이버 보안 공격에 대응하여 부산항 컨테이너 터미널의 사이버 강화를 위한 방향성을 제시했다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

자동화 컨테이너터미널에서 운송장비의 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study On Operation Method of Handling Equipments in Automated Container Terminals)

  • The main subject to become a hub port is automation. The automated container terminal has already operated in advanced ports and it has been planned for the basic planning and operation design in domestic case. The key of automated container terminal is effective operation of both ATC(automated transfer crane) and AGV(automated guided vehicle) which is automated handling equipments. This is essential to productivity of automated container terminal. This study suggests the most optimal method of equipment operation in order to minimize loading time using each three types of effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in automated container terminals. As the automated equipment operation causes unexpected deadlocks or interferences, it should be proceeded on event-based real time. Therefore we propose the most effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in this paper. The various states occurred in real automated container terminals are simulated to evaluate these methods. This experiment will show the most robust automated equipment operation method on various parameters(the degree of yard re-marshaling, the number of containers and AGV)

주요 컨테이너 터미널의 정보보호 수준 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Information Security Level in Major Container Terminals)

  • 항만은 화물들의 정보를 토대로 거의 모든 계획과 운영이 이루어진다. 따라서, 항만에 있어 이러한 정보의 관리와 보호 문제는 매우 중요하고 근본적인 문제에 해당된다. 그러나, 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 항만에 있어 정보보호와 관련한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 주목하여 우리나라 주요 컨테이너 터미널의 정보보호 수준을 분석하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 주요 컨테이너 터미널 4개사를 분석한 결과, 우리나라 컨테이너 터미널의 전반적인 정보보호 수준은 71.7%로 나타났으며, 대상 터미널 중, 3개사는 비슷한 수준과 양상을 보인 반면, 나머지 1개사는 수준 차를 보이고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편, 정보보호에 있어 우리나라 컨테이너 터미널의 가장 취약한 부분은 관리적 보안인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서, 관리적 보안의 수준을 높이기 위한 전략수립이 필요할 것으로 판단되며, 특히 정보보호를 지원하는 조직의 전문성 확보가 가장 중요한 관건인 것으로 사료된다.

서비스 품질 향상을 위한 컨테이너 터미널의 효율성 평가 모형에 관한 연구 (A Model of Evaluating the Efficiency of Container Terminals for Improving Service Quality)

  • It is difficult but very necessary to measure the productivity of container terminals as logistics service provider. It is meaningful to find the appropriate inputs and outputs of the logistics service delivery systems and to measure the relationship between these inputs and outputs. This study proposes a model of evaluating the efficiency of container terminals. The evaluation consists of three phases. First, DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) phase, determines the efficiency score and weights of DMUs(Decision Making Unit). This phase performs through four steps : selection of DMU, selection of DEA model, determination of input and output factors, calculation of efficiency score and weights for each DMU. Secondly, CEM (Cross Evaluation Model) phase, is to calculate the cross-efficiency scores of DMUs. This phase performs through three steps: selection of CEM, determination of cross-efficiency score for each DMU and development of cross-efficiency matrix. Finally, average cross-efficiency analysis phase is to compute the average cross-efficiency score. The proposed model discriminates among DMUs and ranks DMUs, whether they are efficient or inefficient.
