Objective: Experimental studies have suggested green tea to be a chemopreventive agent for colorectal cancer, and many studies have examined possible associations. However, the conclusions were inconsistent or even contradictory, so we performed a meta-analysis based on published case-control studies to explore if green tea is indeed a protective factor. Methods: PubMed was searched up to May $10^{th}$, 2012 for relevant studies, and references of included studies were manually searched. Finally 13 eligible studies, involving 12,636 cases and 38,419 controls were identified. After data extraction, a meta-analysis was performed using CMA v2 software. Results: The results indicated there may be a weak but not statistically significant reduced risk of colorectal cancer with high dose of green tea intake (OR=0.95, 95% CI:0.81-1.11, p=0.490.69-0.98). This protective effect was also found in all subgroups, except in American and European populations. Sensitivity analysis indicated the result to be robust. Publication bias was not detected by either funnel plot or Egger tests. Conclusion: The results of this meta-analysis indicate a weak lower tendency for colorectal cancer development with green tea consumption, but available epidemiologic data are insufficient to conclude that green tea may protect against colorectal cancer in humans.

갈색양송이는 백색양송이보다 병에 강하고 재배관리가 쉬워 농가에서 재배를 하고 싶지만, 아직 국내 소비자들의 인식이 부족하여 일부 친환경 농가에서만 재배를 하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 갈색양송이에 대한 1분정도의 동영상으로 사전 정보를 준 후 인지도와 선호도를 SNS로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 설문 응답자의 200명을 임의로 선정하여 식미평가를 진행하였다. 설문 응답자의 83%가 갈색양송이를 접한 적이 없다고 했으며, 동영상으로 정보를 접한 후 98%가 '맛에 대한 호기심'(44%)의 이유로 구매 의사를 밝혔다. 식미평가에서는 갈색양송이가 32%가 '맛있다', 31%가 '식감이 좋다', 28%가 '향이 좋다'로 응답하였다. 또한 섭취 후에 95%가 갈색 양송이 구매를 원하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 결과로 갈색양송이에 대한 대중적 인식, 선호, 식미와 버섯에 영양성분과 기능성에 대한 정보가 소비로 이루어 진다는 것을 확인하였다.

Because of the continuous growth of energy consumption, and also the tendency to site power lines and pipelines along the same routes, the close proximity of high voltage structures and metallic pipelines has become more and more frequent. Moreover, normal steady state and fault currents become higher as electric networks increase in size and power. Therefore, there has been and still is a growing concern (safety of people marking contact with pipeline, risk of damage to the pipeline coating, the metal and equipment connected to pipeline. especially cathodic protection system) about possible hazards resulting from the influence of high voltage power system on metallic structures(gas pipeline, oil pipeline and water pipeline etc.). Therefore, we analyze the interference problems when the gas pipeline is buried with power cable in the same submarine tunnel. This paper present the results of the study about interference mechanism, AC corrosion, limitation of safety voltage and analysis of indiction voltage.

Because of the continuous growth of energy consumption and also the tendency to site power lines and pipelines along the same route, the close proximity of power lines and buried metallic pipelines has become more and more frequent. Therefore there has been and still is a slowing concern about possible hazards resulting from the influence of power lines on metallic pipelines. Underground pipelines that run parallel to or in close proximity to power lines are subjected to induced voltages caused by the time-varying magnetic fields produced by the power line currents. The induced electro- motive force cause currents circulation in the pipeline and voltages between the pipeline and surrounding earth. This paper analyzes the induced voltage on the gas pipelines buried in parallel with 22.9kV distribution lines. Their magnitude depends on the length of parallelism and on the distance between distribution lines and pipeline.

For high fuel economy, many kinds of unit in vehicle have been developed. In steering system, as a result, HPS(Hydraulic Power Steering) system has been replaced as EHPS and EPS system. But the structures of these systems are totally different, and that causes the uncertainty of fuel economy evaluation. Therefore we undertake to research to find results and tendency of fuel economy and energy in steering system. For accurate evaluation, we modeled different types of steering systems on same vehicle model. The simulation came into action on various driving cycle. The driving condition is designed to show standby power of pump. Results show differences of fuel efficiency and energy consumption.

Forest area covers 64 % of the national land of Korea and the forest plays a pivotal role in the hydrological process such as flood, drought, runoff, infiltration, evapotranspiration, etc. In this study, soil moisture monitoring for conifer forest in experimental forest of Seoul National University has been conducted using FDR (Frequency Domain Reflection) for 6 different soil layers, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 and 120 cm during 2009~2010, and precipitation data was collected from nearby AWS (Automatic Weather Station). Soil moisture monitoring data were used to estimate soil moisture recession constant (SMRC) for analyzing soil moisture recession characteristics. From the results, empirical soil moisture recession equations were estimated and validated to determine the feasibility of the result, and soil moisture contents of measured and calculated showed a similar tendency from April to November. Thus, the results can be applied for soil moisture estimation and provided the basic knowledge in forest soil moisture consumption. Nevertheless, this approach demonstrated applicability limitations during winter and early spring season due to freezing and melting of snow and ice causing peculiar change of soil moisture contents.

The purposes of this study are to (1) point out Korean women's clothing behaviors as seen by the Korean who has lived in the U.S.A. (2) identify cultural and social factors to influence on Korean women's clothing behaviors (3) suggest directions for desirable change in clothing consumption behaviors of Korean women. Verbatim texts of 16 interviews concerning Korean women's perception and experiences of fashion in Korea and the U.S. are interpreted through the analysis of the interviews. The results are as follows: 1) In Korea, the changes in fashion are not only distinct but also foster then those in America. 2) Korean women have a tendency to conform in the way they dress themselves, while the women in the U.S.A. put emphasis on the individuality rather than the current fashion. 3) When they go shopping, Korean women take a great note of what the brands represent, but their American counterparts take the neatness, easeness of cleaning and practicality into consideration. 4) In Korea, the clothing behaviors are influenced by the rapid social changes, its internalization trend, the traditional Confucianism and the pressure to conform according to the collectivism.

In order to study the shape and dimensions of heart, a procedure to reconstruct a three dimensional left ventricular geometry from two dimensional echocardiographic images was studied including the coordinate transformation, curve fitting and interpolation utilizing three dimensional position registration arm. Nonlinear material property of the left ventricular myocardium was obtained by finite element method performed on the reconstructed geometry and by optimization techniques which compared the computer predicted 3D deformation with the experimentally determined deformation. Elastic modulus ranged from 3.5g/$cm^2$ at early diastole to l53g/$cm^2$ at around end diastole showing slightly nonlinear relationship between the modulus and the pressure. Afterwards using the obtained nonlinear material propertry the stress distribution related with oxyzen consumption rate was analyzed. The maximum and minimum of ${\sigma}_1$ (max. principal stress) occurred at nodes on the second level intersection points of x-axis with endocardium and with epicardium, respectively. And the tendency of the interventricular septum to be flattened was observed from the compressive ${\sigma}_1$ on the anterior, posterior nodes of left ventricle and from the most significant change of dimension in $D_{RL}$ (septal-lateral dimension of right ventricle).

본 논문에서는 클러스터링 방식을 사용하는 무선 센서네트워크(WSN)에서 센서노드의 위치정보에 따라 클러스터의 크기를 다르게 설정하여, 네트워크의 수명을 향상시키는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 각 클러스터에서 수집된 정보는 클러스터 간(Inter-cluster) 통신으로 멀티 홉을 통하여 싱크노드에 전달된다. 싱크노드에 가까운 곳에 위치한 클러스터 헤더(CH)일수록 멀리 있는 클러스터 헤더보다 데이터 전달에 많이 관여하게 되어 에너지를 더욱 많이 소모하며 이로 인해서 네트워크의 수명이 줄어든다. 제안된 알고리즘은 싱크노드에 가까이 위치한 클러스터의 크기를 줄여서, 해당 클러스터 헤더에서의 에너지 소모를 최소화하고, 또한 싱크로 향하는 데이터들의 전송 경로를 다양화하여 클러스터 헤더의 통신 부담을 경감시킴으로써 네트워크의 수명을 연장시킨다. 제안된 알고리즘은 수학적인 분석 과정을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.
