Dynamic Slew-Rate Control for High Uniformity and Low Power in LCD Driver ICs

  • A slew-rate control method of LCD driver ICs is introduced to increase uniformity between adjacent driver ICs and reduce power consumption. The slew rate of every voltage follower is calibrated by a feedback algorithm during the non-displaying period. Under normal operation mode, the slew rate is dynamically controlled for improving power efficiency. Experimental results show that the power consumption is reduced by 16% with a white pattern and by 10% with a black pattern, and display defects are successfully eliminated.

  • Recently, low energy houses have become an essential issue globally and various subsidy programs are ongoing to penetrate. All-electric houses which are another type of low energy houses or zero carbon houses are being developed. These houses consider new & renewable energy and demand side management programs in the construction and the diffusion process because these programs are essential policies to use energy resources reasonably. This paper shows a simulation methodology to control home appliances in all-electric houses considering the electricity consumption pattern of residents. The simulation is a first step to estimate energy saving of the house in a practical manner.

생선류 섭취양상에 따른 모발중 수은 함량 (Mercury Contents of Human Scalp Hair by the Consumption Pattern in Fish)

  • This paper was conducted to examine the level of total and organic mercury in the scalp hair by the consumption pattern of fish. The scalp hair samples were collected from the occipital part of 101 in coastal, 106 in rural. The total and organic mercury contents of adult scalp hair increased with age up to the forties and slightly decreased in the fifties. (p<0.01) The mercury contents of the persons who were favorite dishes of fish were most high, and who prefer fish were 2 times higher than those of the persons who prefer vegetables and broiled. The contents of total and organic mercury in scalp hair showed a increasing tendency with the intake frequency of raw and cooked fish. (p<0.01) The total and organic mercury contents in the raw fishes were over 2 times higher than those in the boiled fishes.

  • This paper is to cluster the AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) data. The load survey system has been applied to record the power consumption of sampling the contract assortment in KEPRI AMR. The effect of the contract assortment change to the customer power consumption is determined by executing the clustering on the load survey results. We can supply the power to customer according to usage to the analysis cluster. The Korea a class of the electricity supply type is less than other country. Because of the Korea electricity markets exists one electricity provider. Need to further divide of electricity supply type for more efficient supply. We are found pattern that is different from supplied type to customer. Out experiment use the Clementine which data mining tools.

전기철도차량 경제운전 모형 개발 (Development of Economical Run Model for Electric Railway Vehicle)

  • The Optimization has been performed to search an economical running pattern in the view point of trip time and energy consumption. Fuzzy control model have been applied to build the meta-model. To identify the structure and its parameters of a fuzzy model, fuzzy c-means clustering method and differential evolutionary scheme are utilized, respectively. As a result, two meta-models for trip time and energy consumption were constructed. The optimization to search an economical running pattern was achieved by differential evolutionary scheme. The result shows that the proposed methodology is very efficient and conveniently applicable to the operation of railway system.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient driving pattern which consumes less energy for driving from one station to next. Three driving patterns for four sections in the No. 5 subway line of Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corp. are compared for the energy consumption, the maximum speed, and the powering time. It turns out that the powering time and the maximum speed should be decreased as much as possible in order to achieve the efficient driving.

  • This paper presents a modelling methodology using fuzzy logic and train performance simulation for determining an economical running pattern for a high speed train which minimizes energy consumption under an given trip margin. The economical running pattern is defined with an economical maximum speed in traction phase, a speed at the end of coasting. As a case study, the simulation is carried out for an economical run of korea high speed train prototype, and the results of fuzzy model described.

  • 본 논문은 전기철도차량의 운행시간 여유분을 고려하여 에너지 소비를 최소화하는 경제운전 패턴을 찾는 방안을 제시하였다. 경제최고속도와 타행끝점속도를 주행패턴의 변수로 사용하여 퍼지모델을 구축하고 이를 대상으로 진화 탐색을 적용하여 최적의 경제운전 패턴을 찾아낼 수 있으며, 사례연구를 통해 이를 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose an antirandom pattern-based test method considering power consumption to compensate for the problem that the fault coverage through random test decreases or the test time increases significantly when the DUT circuit structure is complex or large. In the proposed method, a group unit test pattern generation process and rearrangement process are added to improve the problems of long calculation time and high-power consumption, which are disadvantages of the previous antirandom test.
